Chapter Twenty-Seven: The Recruitment Of Sedusa
Simon Bar Sinister and Cad Lackey, with their sights set on meeting Sedusa, one of Townsville's most notorious female villains, made their long walk down the underground cavern they fell into after narrowly escaping the clutches of the Powerpuff Girls and Underdog. The cavern was very well lit with a red brick wall structure all around it. The cavern was once used by Mojo Jojo in a plot to destroy the Powerpuff Girls that was ultimately unsuccessful. Other people, though mainly criminals, also had access to the cavern to do very illegal deeds such as drug trafficking, drug dealing, or smuggling illegal items around the city.
Simon and Cad, in disguise, walked the lengthy cavern, looking at some of the graffiti lining up the walls with explicit language and explicit drawings. They also walked by drug needles, used condoms, empty gun shells, dried up blood and semen stains, bags of leftover drug residue, among other questionable and illegal things. They both stopped a time or two to drink some ice cold water that they had in their backpacks, sometimes even sitting down at fairly clean spots to catch their breaths.
The two Capitol City villains eventually reached a staircase at the end of the cavern which they both walked up and opened up another trap door. Cad took a quick peek outside to see if anyone may have been looking.
"Coast is clear, boss." Cad said.
Cad climbed out of the trap door and reached down to pull Simon out with Simon closing the trap door. The villains emerged in an alley which, at the end, led to the massive business district of Townsville where some of the high-rises and offices were. Even though they were on a mission, Simon and Cad were in awe at how much the modern city dwarfed the smaller and more simplistic Capitol City.
After getting over the awe of the huge business district, Simon pulled out his GPS to pinpoint his and Cad's location in relation to Sedusa's house.
"Okay, Cad, check this out." Simon said as he and Cad looked at Simon's GPS. "We're here and we need to get here. Let's see if we can find a subway to take us to the closest spot to Sedusa's home."
"Of course, boss." Cad said as he briefly looked around. "Uh, I think I see one down the street there."
"Good. Let's go." Simon commanded.
Simon and Cad walked over towards the subway about a few blocks down, having to stop at a crosswalk. The two villains were very much used to using crosswalks since Capitol City very heavily enforced jaywalking and following Walk/Don't Walk signs. Simon and Cad watched the traffic flow nicely with all sorts of music bumping in people's cars. They stood at the crosswalk with other business-dressed men and women standing with them, some of them on their phones and some of them talking amongst themselves.
They all patiently waited for the Don't Walk signal to change to Walk, Simon looking at his watch and tapping his foot in impatience.
"Come on you son of a bitch." Simon said angrily but silently.
The change eventually happened after three minutes, Simon and Cad walking across it and making a beeline to the subway that was down the street. They saw another crosswalk which was very close to changing, so the villains ran as fast as they could to get on the crosswalk right before it changed to Don't Walk, but since they were on the crosswalk before the change, they could finish the walk. The villains made their way down the subway that Cad saw and went straight to the map to figure out which way to go.
"Okay, Cad, you're better at reading those fucking things than I am. Find out where we need to go." Simon ordered as he handed Cad his GPS.
"Sure, boss. Just give me a few minutes, though." Cad obeyed.
Cad had to cross reference the GPS and the subway map, needing to know the closest exit point that would take them to the area of Sedusa's home. After spending ten minutes of cross referencing, Cad nodded and smiled.
"Boss, this will be fucking easy." Cad revealed. "We're right where we need to be. All we gotta do is take this route all the way south to the very last stop. That'll put us right near Sedusa's neighborhood."
"Excellent work, Cad." Simon complimented. "And now we wait for our ride."
The ETA of the train was only 20 minutes, so Simon and Cad sat down on a bench and patiently waited. They played a few games on their cell phones and also overheard other passengers-to-be talking about various things. They did hear a couple talk about the jewelry heist, to which they could only laugh.
After the long wait, the train they wanted arrived, and Simon and Cad made sure they got to the front of the line especially with a large group of other passengers wanting to get on that train. The two villains and many of the Townsville residents got into the subway train, the train taking off after a few minutes.
All Simon and Cad could do at that point was sit down and enjoy the long ride. Inside the train, to keep people entertained, a few musicians played covers of several well-known video game tracks ranging from Mario to Sonic to Zelda among many other iconic tracks. Simon and Cad tapped their feet and clapped along to some of the tunes, nodding in approval as they looked around at the other people surrounding them and enjoying the tunes as well. People were getting on and off the subway train at its many stops, going through some pitch black tunnels and some outdoor sections as well.
After a ride that took two long hours, Simon and Cad heard the conductor warn the train riders that the train was approaching its final stop before it was set to head back north.
"That's our cue, Cad." Simon said.
Simon and Cad stood up as the train was slowing and eventually coming to a stop, the doors opening and Simon and Cad exiting. The villains walked up the staircase out of the subway and stepped out into a slums area of Townsville where most of the low income people live. The roads had many bumps and potholes in them. The homes were mostly basic apartments and a handful of below average houses. There were even some houses that were very dilapidated, condemned, or even abandoned. The stores were minority owned and local to that area, some of them corner stores. As one would expect, it was predominantly African-American, but it had its good mix of Asians, Indians, Mexicans, Arabs, and some Caucasians.
"Oh, shit, boss, we better keep our heads on swivels again. People here may try to jack us." Cad warned.
"Focus up as usual, Cad." Simon ordered.
Simon got out his GPS to pinpoint Sedusa's home in relation to where they were, only registering a 15 minute walk.
"We'll have to hoof it a bit, Cad. We're almost there." Simon revealed. "Let's fucking go, and. Watch. Your. Ass."
Simon and Cad walked through the slums, seeing many things associated with the African-American community, known by many as the ghetto or the hood. Of course drug deals, mainly cocaine and marijuana, were pretty prominent as was a bit of prostitution. Children could be seen riding their bicycles, roller skates, skateboards, scooters, and hoverboards around various neighborhoods while adults showed off their hydraulic cars and making them bounce up and down. Hip hop music was prominent around the town, and dice games on the street could be seen as well.
African-American families could also be seen in their yards barbecuing, the wonderful aroma hitting Simon and Cad's nostrils hard with them aaaahing in approval. In the yards, kids were either on swing sets or just on their Power Wheels riding around. Card games in some yards were being played, with children mainly playing UNO or War while the adults played Spades or Poker. Many of the lawns in the yards were uncut with gravel or dirt roads serving as driveways. There was also an NBA sized outdoor basketball court where people of all ages played, as well as father/son duos playing catch with footballs in a bare field near the basketball court.
As Simon and Cad walked along the area, they saw a few residents looking in their direction, but they of course had to avoid eye contact or even a potential confrontation. The two villains even witnessed two people, one African-American and one Caucasian, make a mad dash out of a gas station with two cases of beer in hand each with the Indian owner of the store chasing after them and shooting a gun, hitting them both in their thighs.
"Holy shit." Cad said silently as he laughed.
"Fucking amateurs. Let's go, Cad." Simon said silently as well with a laugh of his own.
The two Capitol City villains successfully made the 15 minute walk, breathing a deep sigh of relief as they got through the dangerous area without any sorts of major hiccups, especially since they were dressed all business casual in disguise and could be judged as people financially secure. They made a few extra turns before they got to their intended destination.
The home stood out a bit from the other homes in the slum area as it was built a little nicer. Simon and Cad didn't really see anything upon first glance that would get in their way to the front door, so they simply hopped over the chain link fence and started to casually walk towards the front door. However, the villains would quickly see snakes of all kinds lunge towards them, prompting them to get their stun guns out to shoot them before they could bite them. As Simon and Cad kept walking along, Cad took one step and a transparent bear trap set off, nearly catching his foot.
"SHIT!" Cad shouted. "Fucking thing damn near got my foot!"
"Fucking Sedusa making it harder on us. Watch your step, Cad!" Simon said in frustration.
The scene shifted to just inside the home. And inside, the female villain that Simon and Cad sought out, Sedusa herself, could be seen on the internet reading all about the jewelry heist at the Temple of Reckoning. Sedusa was in her normal red and black clothing, and her long, snake-like black hair had fully grown back after it was cut off during a battle with the Powerpuff Girls and Ms. Bellum. As she was reading an article, she got startled by a snare trap going off outside of her home, looking back at the door and standing up.
"Now just who in the fuck is trying to break into my house?!" Sedusa said angrily as she walked towards the door to investigate.
"Cad! Get me down from here!" Simon shouted out as he was hung upside down, having been caught in the snare trap, his fedora hat of course having come off.
Cad had to follow the rope to find the counterweight, which was a pair of sandbags. On the way to the walk towards the rope, he slipped and fell on an extremely slippery surface, landing on a very tall ant bed. When he realized he was on top of a bunch of ants, he quickly got up and started to dust himself off to ensure he wouldn't get bit by any, but he did feel a few bites on his arms and legs.
"Fuck!" Cad shouted out.
"What the fuck are you doing, Cad?!" Simon shouted out.
"Here I come, boss! Fucking ants!" Cad shouted back out.
Cad had to jump over a few extra ant beds and got to the sandbags, taking out his lightsaber-like weapon and cutting the rope loose, Simon falling down and hitting the ground hard with Cad helping Simon back up. Simon got his fedora hat up from the ground, briefly dusted it off, and put it back on.
The two villains finished their walk to Sedusa's front door, only having to jump over a bed of spikes. Before the Capitol City villains could knock on the door or ring the doorbell, the door swung open and Sedusa looked out briefly to see what the commotion was. She then looked down to see the disguised Capitol City villains, of course being significantly taller than they were.
"Ah, Sedusa. It is very nice to finally meet you, my dear." Simon greeted.
"And just who the fuck are you?!" Sedusa inquired.
"Oh, we're just two guys with your best interests in mind, ma'am." Cad answered.
"We're here to scratch your back if you'll scratch ours, my dear." Simon added. "Please allow us into your wonderful humble abode and we'll explain everything."
"I should kick your mother fucking asses and throw you two to the fucking wolves!" Sedusa angrily retorted. "I'll give you one fucking chance to leave or you will become dinner to my hungry piranhas!"
"No, no, no, we mean no harm, ma'am, we swear." Cad said. "We have problems, you have problems, and we have the means to solve them."
Sedusa rubbed her chin a bit, slowly nodding.
"All right, but you better not waste my fucking time, okay?!" Sedusa said as she allowed Simon and Cad into her home.
Simon and Cad briefly looked around Sedusa's home, only nodding in approval.
"Nice home you have here, Sedusa." Cad complimented.
"Thank you. Now how can I help you?" Sedusa inquired.
"First of all, let us get out of these fucking disguises." Simon said.
Simon and Cad took off their fake beards, mustaches, eyeglasses, and fedora hats but kept on their business casual outfits.
"Now before we explain why we're here, allow us to introduce ourselves, my dear." Simon said. "I am Simon Bar Sinister, and this is my assistant Cad Lackey. We are from Capitol City, a smaller city a long ways from here." Simon then introduced.
"Well, very nice to meet you, I guess." Sedusa said. "You like it here in Townsville?"
"It's a bit of a culture shock, but nothing we couldn't get used to." Cad responded.
"Well, don't fuck up too much in this city." Sedusa warned. "There's these three little brats called the Powerpuff Girls who have stopped me and many others."
"Ah, we are definitely aware, my dear." Simon revealed. "And that is why we're here. There's an asshole in our city named Underdog that has stopped us and many others as well."
"Well, I'm not sure how I can help solve your fucking problem." Sedusa said with a shrug. "I have my own to worry about. Now get to the fucking point already."
"Well, there is no doubt that you've heard about the jewelry heist at the Temple of Reckoning, correct?" Cad asked.
"It's been all over the fucking news, you morons." Sedusa answered, annoyed. "No one really knows who done it and how. But what I wouldn't fucking give to be in cahoots with the people responsible. You need three ladies to make it work."
"Well, my dear, today is your lucky day. You will not have to look very far." Simon said with a grin on his face as he took off his backpack. "Get a load of this!"
Simon opened up his backpack for Sedusa to look inside. And inside, Sedusa laid eyes on the Forbidden Necklace and the Bracelets of Despair. The power jewelry shone brightly in Sedusa's face, the villainess gasping loudly with her jaw hanging low.
"Ho. Ly. SHIT!" Sedusa said in shock. "Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, oh my fucking God!"
"Yes, ma'am, that was us that went to the temple and stole them." Cad said with a smile.
"I…..don't believe it!" Sedusa said in between breaths of shock, her hand on her chest.
"Well, believe it, my dear." Simon said with a grin of his own. "I have two questions I need to ask you, Sedusa. First, would you like to be one of my three ladies to assist us in ridding ourselves of the Powerpuff Girls and Underdog for good?" Simon then offered.
"Yes, yes, a thousand fucking times YES!" Sedusa accepted excitedly and without hesitation. "PLEASE count me in, I am fucking begging you! I've longed for the opportunity to destroy those fucking brats!"
"Well, Sedusa, my dear, you are in." Simon confirmed with a smile on his face.
"Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!" Sedusa said as she kneeled down and gave a hug to Simon and Cad.
"Now my second question for you, my dear, is do you know two other ladies who might want to join us?" Simon then inquired.
Sedusa tapped her chin in thought and nodded with an evil grin on her face.
"As a matter of fact, I do." Sedusa replied. "There's this blonde badass who I went to school with that calls me that chick in the underwear all the time. And there's this spoiled ass, rich, foul-mouthed brat, same age as the Powerpuffs. I'm sure they'll both agree to join us."
"Perfect!" Simon said as he rubbed his palms. "We're a step closer to dictating the fucking world, Cad, isn't this fucking awesome or what?!"
"Damn straight, boss!" Cad responded.
"ONE DAY!" Simon and Cad said in unison.
"All right, Sedusa, no time to waste. Take us to them." Simon commanded.
"Nah ah ah, not a chance." Sedusa objected. "I will go get them on my own. I need you two to meet me at a specific rendezvous spot. If you two are seen with me, it's gonna look sus, and those Powerfucks and your Underdog guy will find us for sure. They won't know where this spot is either."
"Sus, just what in the fuck does that shit mean?!" Simon asked, annoyed.
"It means suspicious." Sedusa answered. "Get with the current lingo, okay boomer?"
"All right, whatever." Simon said, brushing it off. "How are we supposed to get to your little rendezvous spot?"
"I need you two to listen carefully." Sedusa mentioned. "It is two counties northeast of here in Nuru County. When you leave my house, there is a bus stop just around the block. Look for the red bus. It will take you all the way there. When you get there, there is another blue bus that will take you to Tokyo Town, the county seat. And when you get there, look for a castle just a short walk from that bus stop. You can't miss it." Sedusa then instructed. "You get all of that?"
"Yes, ma'am, loud and clear." Cad answered.
"Well, whatever it fucking takes, I guess." Simon said with a shrug. "We'll be waiting for you and the other two ladies, my dear."
Sedusa walked over to Simon and Cad with a bit of a seductive sway in her hips, touching their faces with a seductive grin on her own face, getting in a little teasing lick on her lips.
"You two are cute. When this is over and we take over the world, maybe, juuuuuuust maybe…." Sedusa got out.
Sedusa turned around and leaned on a nearby table, bending way over in front of Simon and Cad. The villainess swayed her butt from side to side for a few moments, adding in a two-handed swat to both of her rumpcheeks. She ended it by rubbing both of her rumpcheeks and making a huge sizzling sound to signal that it was hot. Simon and Cad opened their eyes at the erotic tease and grinned, looking at each other and licking their lips as well. Sedusa stood straight back up and turned back around, giving them both a wink before she regained her focus to the task at hand.
"Now get out of here, you two. We've got work to do. See you in a few hours." Sedusa said.
"Yes, ma'am!" Simon and Cad said as they exited out of the front door.
The Capitol City villains put their disguises back on to stay undercover. On the way out, they didn't have to dodge many of the traps they had to dodge on the way in due to Sedusa deactivating them for them. Simon and Cad both talked about that small erotic tease that Sedusa gave them before they then focused back up at the task at hand, walking over to the bus stop that Sedusa mentioned.
Sedusa, in the meantime, being the mistress of disguise she was, walked outside with her own disguise, having to blend in with the predominantly African-American population in the area, her sights set on finding the other two females that can aid Simon in their shared quest for world domination.
