There was a lot of work, a lot at arrests to be made, a lot of crime to be solved but there was only one Batman. For the past two years he never missed a night despite the hunt of the government after him, despite wounds and luck of sleep he was there in the dark night sky of Gotham City. People knew he was there and relied on him more than anybody, they lost faith in their government, police, justice but they believed in Batman.

So there he was for the people, with his help city got cleared from criminal elements and total disorder. He put all his strength to prevent this city from a crime wave which was coming as soon as city reopened. Unfortunately he got so busy that he couldn't stay on track of Evan's body disappearance as well as Justice's. These two people were gone in one split second right after they crushed on the ground it was almost sounded like Evan was right when he said they were watching everything. Who they? Batman wished he knew, he tried so hard to find anything all these years but there was nothing until two weeks ago.

Bruce Wayne was always sympathetic to Arkham Asylum and its work for the City of Gotham. After the city collapsed Arkham Asylum was the only place which held the pressure of the crumbled world around. The asylum kept the medical stuff working by providing everything they needed to stay in place. Bruce Wayne always was a generous donor and that time all his efforts really worked.

After the city came back to life to some degree Bruce Wayne often visited Arkham as a friend and donor. Two weeks ago he overheard something he didn't t supposed to and didn't mean to.

The head doctor had an urgent call when he was walking with Bruce Wayne in a garden next to the north wing. He walked far from Bruce for him not to hear a conversation but nothing could escape from Batman. He had that conversation recorded on his small device which looked like a small air phone bug in Bruce Wayne's ear. Bruce is a busy man and never knows when he must take a phone call. When that time Batman got to his laboratory he listened the recording and confirmed that the head doctor of Arkham was the one who had obligations to keep Justice Creed after her arrest.

He listened this tape over and over again and every time he felt small pain in his chest.

-She was alive all this time, Alfred! I saw her bleeding, I saw her fall, I saw her crashed and … Does it mean that Evan survived as well? I am sure he is not in the city if he is alive but I can't find any trace where the government could possibly take him.

-But you are glad you found her, Master Bruce. I see it in your eyes…

-I know, Alfred. She saved my life and lives of many… she saved Gotham and I bet she didn't plan to stay alive I think they actually did their best to save her.

-Do you think Master Bruce they saved her life because of him? - old butler was talking something Bruce wouldn't think about before.

-Because of him? Possibly he gave his conditions way before his unplanned flight from a balcony of the Wayne Tower.

This was one more mystery to solve but Bruce was glad that he found White Shadow. The same night when he recorded the conversation of the head doctor apparently with somebody who was directly working with Justice, Batman visited Arkham Asylum undercover of darkness. From the conversation he knew about some disturbance which happened at the old main building because of Justice. When Batman got on the ground of the asylum he found out that the old building was highly secured even over secured. Some private security organization was hired to patrol the old building. They didn't play around they had cameras at every corner and tree, they definitely set up a whole monitoring center inside and patrol guys were constantly walking around the building. Batman was familiar with the old building and it had never been so highly secured including the fact that this building was always for the most criminally insane people … people like Joker.

That night he had no chance to sneak around and he had to retreat and it was when the idea to get there as Bruce Wayne come to his mind. It was first time for many years when Batman couldn't wait until the sunrise to become Bruce Wayne. He got a good friendship with the head doctor of Arkham and now got his permition to see the old building and its patients but Justice was still off the radar because her file was extremely secretive. That day when Bruce talked to the head doctor and he pointed out on his big safe and said that her case was in there and not at archives, Batman knew he needed to visit doctor's office one night.

And there he was again on the ground of Arkham Asylum lurking in the darkness. New building where doctor's office was located was secured regularly nothing extra so it gave Batman a great opportunity to get in unnoticed. He struggled a little with a lock on doctor's office door but he managed to unlock it the second when a guard was walking over the corner. The darkness covered Batman in a gloomy hall of the asylum from the eyes of a guard who walked right next to Batman sneaking inside the office. A lock on the safe was tricky but nothing Batman couldn't handle. Gladly the office had no cameras because it was also doctor's place to talk to patients. Batman knew every camera in the hall of a new building, he spent too much time walking here with the head doctor as Bruce Wayne. The blind spots and dull lightning in corridors helped Batman to get in and out untraceable.

On his way to the city Batman managed to stop a robbery, arrest a group of people who tried to broke into somebody's house, prevented a car accident and he had time to get to the far city where used to be Zones to check on them.

In the last two years that part of the city improved significantly. The chemical plant was closed down and demolished instead of it was a construction of a park and a river walk zone not without help of Wayne's Enterprises. Many houses got rebuilt and the old library was fixed and running. Schools and movie theaters reopened, roads were getting fixed together with sidewalks. Big changes came to the Zones after the City of Gotham wiped out borders and included zones back to the city. Only one house was never touched but reconstruction. House of the Creed's family. It was there abandoned and bordered up. Nobody wanted to buy this house where many years ago a father killed all his family except one child who later returned to this house from long life in an orphanage and become the most astonishing killer in the Zones - White Shadow. How people found out that White Shadow was Justice Batman had no idea because it had never been publicly announced but he guessed people just knew. So now that house was covered in white ribbons and stood in the end of the street like a white moving ghost. Ribbons were everywhere on the walls and roof, windows and trees around the house. Two years past but white ribbons keep piling up on the house. Halloween time was special for this house because people got a tradition to come to this house and bleached it. All around was covered in white paint even grass and sidewalk. People didn't know that White Shadow survived so they made local songs about her and even got themselves a bar and a music band with this name. Every time Batman saw that white ghost house he thought about his future if anyone will ever do anything of that sort for him but at the same second he every time stopped himself because he didn't want any of it.

One thing disturbed Batman in this old part of the city a serial killer. Strange person who emerged in the times when the zones were blocked from the main land and been abandoned by the city government. That man was killing single women and by the time when the city reopened there were over ten victims. Suddenly he stoped when the zones were brought back to the Gotham city as its equal part. Batman was sure the killer went on the main land since the borders were open but there were no killings of women Batman didn't solve as a result he never caught that one guy. And all over sudden he started again in the same part of the city with the same pattern of crime. Batman recognized him from his first victim after almost two years of silence. It happened three days ago, his victim was found in her house by relatives after they couldn't reach out to her. Batman was on a crime scene after the police left he already knew the killer wasn't stupid he didn't leave any clues.

All Batman could do now was waiting and patrolling the old zones which now was called "the lower city side" by the media.

He got to his penthouse by the crack of dawn tired with minor injuries from fighting criminals but he got what he wanted. The case file for Justice Creed now was in his possession as a digital file with the help of his special eye's lenses. It was time to look through it.
