Chapter Thirty: The Return To The Temple
A blue bus was seen pulling up to a bus stop inside of a large Japanese-style city. Inside of the bus, there of course were many tourists that came from all over to explore a slice of Japan away from Japan, but there were of course two disguised villains with many aspirations of dictating the world. As soon as the bus made the complete stop and opened the door, everyone inside of the bus, including Simon Bar Sinister and Cad Lackey, the aforementioned villains, got out of the bus with passengers entering the bus afterwards. Simon and Cad stretched their arms and legs for a bit, having reached the end of their hours-long bus ride and making it to Tokyo Town, the area that Sedusa directed them to. They then looked dead ahead, seeing the silhouette of the very tall castle that Sedusa mentioned to them.
"Thar she blows, Cad, just like Sedusa said!" Simon said with an evil grin.
"Doesn't look like a long walk, boss. We should get there in no time." Cad said.
"Yeah, but fuck, all of this fucking traveling has got me fucking starving, Cad." Simon said as he rubbed his belly. "How's about we find a place to eat around here?"
"I ain't the biggest fan of Asian food, boss, but it'll work in a pinch." Cad said. "Let's look around, boss, we're bound to find something good."
"You bet, Cad. Let's go." Simon said.
The two disguised villains walked around Tokyo Town, seeing many different Japanese buildings and sights, the majority of the residents there Japanese themselves. Many of the Japanese residents spoke really fluent English as well, as evidenced by a Japanese lesbian couple who were holding hands with one another and having a very flirty chat amongst themselves. They even made jokes about the Temple of Reckoning jewelry heist, Simon and Cad getting in laughs as they overheard it.
"Boss, isn't it fucking awesome that no one knows?" Cad whispered to Simon.
"Yeah, for sure, Cad. It's fucking hilarious, but choose your words carefully." Simon answered. "Don't fuck up like you did the other day, got it?"
"Of course, boss." Cad simply replied.
After a few minutes of walking, the villains got into an area where many Japanese restaurants were. They saw simple food carts around with both Japanese and American cuisine in them operated by Japanese people, but of course they were other indoor restaurants. After taking a while to look around, Cad pointed at one that he liked.
"How's about that one, boss?" Cad suggested.
"Hell yeah, that works perfect. Come on." Simon agreed.
The two disguised villains made the short walk to an all-you-can-eat Japanese buffet, pulling out their cash cards to get themselves ready to pay. A Japanese female bowed and greeted them with the two villains returning the gesture.
"For two?" The female asked.
"Yes." Simon replied.
"What to drink for both of you?" The female asked.
"Sprite for us both." Cad responded.
The Japanese female rung up their buffet meals, which came out to be $37.69 for both of the villains. Cad paid for one half while Simon paid for the other half. The cash cards wouldn't trace them, so they both knew they were perfectly safe.
"Perfect, gentlemen. Have a seat anywhere you like and help yourselves to the gorgeous buffet, and one of our waitresses will bring you your drinks." The Japanese female said, Simon and Cad simply nodding.
The villains found a two-seated table towards the back that they liked, Simon having to pull up a high chair because of his height. They placed their receipts on the table to let the workers know the table was occupied before they went over to the buffet, grabbing plates and taking a look at what the restaurant offered. There were all kinds of Japanese cuisine, including sushi, tofu, tempura, wagashi, okonomiyaki, yakitori, curry rice, nabe, gyoza, karaage, horumon, kaiseki, as well as various soups and noodles, among many others.
Both villains fixed themselves a plate and walked over to the table with a Japanese waitress approaching them with their two drinks, bowing to them both with a huge smile on her face with Simon and Cad returning the gesture. Simon and Cad both said a prayer before they dug right on in. They heard many people, most of them Japanese but some of them tourists from all over, all talking about the jewelry heist. Once again, the disguised villains couldn't help but laugh, hiding right in plain sight as one of them mentioned that the Powerpuff Girls and Underdog were hot on their trail.
"Heh, they haven't found us yet, asswipe." Simon said quietly with a grin.
After spending a good 45 minutes eating and even chatting with the waitress a little bit, the villains, despite being very evil, told the waitress to charge their cash cards a very generous 30% tip, patting their bellies after a succulent meal and getting out a few burps from all of the carbonation in the Sprites. The female at the door waved goodbye to Simon and Cad as they both walked out, patting their bellies.
"Damn, now that shit was good." Cad said with a smile.
"Damn straight, Cad." Simon said as he nodded in agreement. "They're gonna be our personal chefs once we rule the fucking world, Cad. Now the castle awaits, my friend. Let's fucking go!"
Simon and Cad made the reasonable walk towards the castle. The general area around the castle was dimly lit and deserted with only just a handful of cars passing by it every now and then. The only barriers in the way were just some private property signs and some barbed wire fences all the way around. But that proved to be no problem for the villains as Cad simply got out his lightsaber-like weapon and easily cut through the barbed wire, granting the villains access to the castle. They walked across the drawbridge and simply opened up the front door, shining their flashlights on their phones inside of the place.
"Fuck, boss, it's dark as hell in this place." Cad said.
"Hmmm, let's see. Sedusa said there was a green light switch around here somewhere." Simon said as he briefly looked around. "Ah ha!" Simon then got out as he found the switch, flipping it.
A blinding flash of light hit the villains' eyes momentarily, having to shield their eyes.
"Let there be light!" Simon said excitedly.
"So boss, Sedusa also said to get to the top to activate the traps." Cad mentioned.
"Yes, Cad, she did say there's a stairway that will take us there." Simon said as he and Cad looked around. "Just where the fuck is it?"
"Boss, there it is!" Cad said as pointed at a hall with a staircase on the left side of it.
"Damn, Sedusa's fucking good. Come on!" Simon said.
The villains made a beeline towards the staircase and took the very lengthy climb up multiple flights of stairs. They both stopped a few times to take breathers before they resumed their walk up the many steps, eventually reaching a room at the very top. It was a large rectangular two-story room with a huge open space. On one side of the room, there was a huge jail-like cell, though the cell was large enough to fit several people, or prisoners per se, inside of it. Also on the second floor was just basically an observation type of area to look down at the open space below. Towards the end, there was a very large conference-like table with enough to fit dozens of people. And at the very end, there was a throne-like seat. Simon himself took a seat on that throne, leaning back in the chair and smiling.
"All right, Cad, this is it!" Simon said with an evil smile.
"Where's the switch to activate the traps, boss?" Cad asked with Simon briefly looking around.
"I don't know, but now we wait on Sedusa and our other two ladies." Simon replied. "Our world domination plans will commence the moment they get here. We will put on the jewelry, destroy the Powerpuff Girls and Underdog, and I, Simon Bar Sinister, along with you, my dear friend Cad Lackey, will dictate this entire planet!"
"ONE DAY!" Both villains said in unison as they both shared an evil laugh.
The scene shifted over to the Powerpuff Girls and Underdog flying over the skies above the Atlantic Ocean, en route to Temple Island once again. The heroes' high-speed flight was captured on photos and video by a cruise ship full of people that happened to be in their direct path, the people onboard letting out ooohs and aaaahs as they caught glimpses of the four superheroes. The heroes even gave the passengers friendly waves with Underdog giving them thumbs up signals, the passengers even cheering as the heroes acknowledged them.
After yet another long and exhausting flight, the heroes reached Temple Island and the Temple of Reckoning. Though at that time, the island was free and clear of all of the media and the extra Armed Forces, leaving just the residents, the Temple Island police force, and the heroes there. The Powerpuff Girls and Underdog looked around and just watched the residents mingle a bit and converse.
"Okay, everyone, we're looking for…." Blossom got out before Chris Redfield and Leon Kennedy approached the heroes with warm smiles on their faces.
"Powerpuff Girls, Underdog, welcome back." Chris Redfield greeted. "Great to see you again."
"What brings you back here?" Leon Kennedy asked.
"Yes, officers, we are looking for a blonde woman with a diamond on her forehead. We have questions for her." Blossom answered.
"Oh, Tsunade?" Chris Redfield said, confirming the female's name. "She lives on the other side of the island. Green house. Her name is on the front porch, can't miss it."
"Got it. Thanks, officers!" Blossom said.
"Anytime. Don't hesitate to let us know if we can help you guys some more." Leon Kennedy said.
The heroes made the very short flight over to the other side of the island, having to maneuver around the Temple of Reckoning itself as to not penetrate the layers once again. It did not take the heroes long to find the house described, an all-green house built out of mostly wood.
"There it is, as green as my dress!" Buttercup said, pointing at the home.
The heroes made the flight to the front door, knocking on it and waiting for an answer. The answer did not come in a reasonable amount of time, so the heroes knocked again but got the same result.
"Hey there!" A voice said from afar, the heroes all turning around and seeing the source of the voice approaching them.
It was a blonde, but not the one the heroes were looking for. It was a younger blonde male with a black shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers on. The boy was very well known around Temple Island for his massive problem-solving abilities and his willingness to help out all of the residents.
"The name's Quest. Jonny Quest." The boy said, confirming his name. "How can I help you?"
"Hi there, sir. We are looking for Tsunade. Have you seen her?" Bubbles inquired.
"Yeah, Tsunade should be….oh, there she is now." Jonny said, pointing towards another person.
It was the person of interest, the Fifth Hokage herself, Tsunade, walking towards her home dressed in her usual outfit, a gray shirt, green jacket, black pants, and sandals on her feet.
"Hi, Jonny, darling. Did you ever fix the huge leak in my home?" Tsunade asked Jonny.
"Yes, ma'am. We caught a little hell, but with the help of my dad, Race, Hadji, Atreus, and Kratos, we finally got it under control." Jonny answered.
"Good. Thank you so so much. You are such a sweetheart." Tsunade said as she kneeled down to Jonny's height.
Jonny stuck his face out some as he was expecting Tsunade to kiss his cheek like she had done many times with him, but Tsunade turned Jonny's face towards hers. She put one finger to her lips vertically as if to signal Jonny to keep quiet, then she leaned in and gave him a passionate kiss on his lips. Underdog couldn't help but grin at the small show of affection while the Powerpuff Girls giggled as well.
"Wow." Jonny mouthed out to her.
"Again, shhhh!" Tsunade mouthed out to Jonny and making a zip it motion on her lips, the boy nodding and walking away with Tsunade turning her attention to the heroes.
"The Powerpuff Girls and Underdog! It is an honor to meet you! How can I help you?" Tsunade then asked the heroes.
"Yes, ma'am, we were told you saw a boat leave. Can you tell us who and what did you see?" Underdog inquired.
"Yep, I did see a massive boat leave Temple Island the other day." Tsunade revealed. "There were two guys on it. They were nobody we know around here on TI. One was short with chipmunk-like teeth and the other one was a little taller, blonde like me, Jonny, and you." Tsunade added as she pointed to Bubbles. "They seemed overjoyed and ecstatic, so I bet they stole the jewelry."
"Simon and Cad have the jewelry. There's zero doubt. We can safely rule your monkey friend Mojo out." Underdog said to the girls.
"Fuck no, we ain't ruling out Mojo just yet." Buttercup disagreed. "Who knows if Mojo somehow stowed away with them, especially since his helicopter is still here."
"Well, for what it's worth, I didn't see anyone else with those two guys." Tsunade further revealed. "They could've left him for dead inside the temple. It still bewilders all of us here on TI how they got in. They should've been disintegrated just like that." Tsunade added as she snapped her fingers.
"Oh, don't you worry, ma'am, we'll get to the bottom of this!" Bubbles assured.
"Tsunade, thank you so much for the information. You've been a huge help!" Blossom said.
"It's my pleasure. Go find those mother fucking criminals and kick their mother fucking asses for me, okay?" Tsunade encouraged.
"Oh, you fucking bet!" Buttercup said.
"All right, girls. It's back to the skies. To the Capitol City docks we must fly!" Underdog said.
"No, Underdog." Blossom objected. "Call it Powerpuff intuition, but I'd bet money that those assholes detoured to Townsville. That way, they wouldn't confront you."
"Yeah, but going to Townsville means they'd have to deal with us!" Bubbles added.
"FUCK! Those crooks are one fucking step ahead of us!" Buttercup said in frustration.
"Let's go to the Townsville docks. If their boat is there, they're definitely in Townsville and their goose is as good as cooked." Blossom suggested.
"Then come on girls, we mustn't be slow. It's hip hip hip and…." Underdog got out before he looked at Buttercup, almost knowing what she was going to say.
"Let's fucking go!" Buttercup shouted out to finish Underdog's sentence, Underdog getting out a small chuckle as the heroes all flew away, en route to the Townsville docks.
