Legacies and Lightning: Chapter 27
Kumo; The roof of the Raikage Tower (1 day after the 'Ichibi Attack'): With A, Uzui, Darui, Bee and Yugito
A, his wife and the others all stood on the roof as they waited patiently; A sent an emergency message a few hours ago using their fastest messenger hawk. In front of A was an emergency paper beacon that Hiruzen gave him; it was mostly just in case Naruto or any other of the Konoha genin or sensei's have and emergency.
"So… what are we waiting for?" Uzui asked confused "all you did was put down that piece of paper".
"Just give it a minute" A said as he felt dread was over him 'god this is going to give me flash backs'; after waiting another few minutes until a flicker appeared at the beacon and Hiruzen arrived in an instant.
Hiruzen was standing in the middle of a circle formed by Genma Shiranui, Iwashi Tatami and Raido Namiashi; Uzui, Darui, Bee and Yugito were all stunned by this.
"What the- how the hell did he do that?" Yugito asked and Hiruzen walked up and pushed passed.
"That was a version of the famous 'Hiraishin no Jutsu'" Hiruzen said flatly "Lord Fourth taught it to these boys in case of an emergency; although I can also use it to a certain degree, but with them I can teleport anywhere there is a beacon". Hiruzen stopped in front of A in total 'Hokage' mode "what happened here?" Hiruzen asked.
A snorted "that damn Suna brat Gaara, his Biju got loose and tore up the west side of Kumo" A said crossing his arms "in the span of fifteen minutes a quarter of the village was trashed, fifty people were killed and my daughter was injured". "We have the brat and his sibling in lock up; the Kazekage should be by soon to take those little shits back to Suna" he said as Hiruzen nodded and A pressed on "but, thankfully… it could've been a lot worse, especially if it wasn't for your brat Naruto".
Upon hearing this Hiruzen raised an eyebrow "Oh, how so?" Hiruzen asked and Uzui spoke up.
"Yuui and Naruto were the first two to engage the Biju; they bought us precious time" Uzui said and Darui nodded.
"They bought us a total of five minutes; five minutes to evacuate civilians and organize a counter attack" Darui said and Hiruzen smiled at this.
"I should've guesses it was something like that" Hiruzen said before taking out his pipe and lighting it with a small fore jutsu "alright then, lets figure out what to do about this situation". A nodded and led Hiruzen and his bodyguards into the Raikage tower; as they descended the stairs Hiruzen narrowed his eyes 'I don't know why, but I have a feeling Orochimaru might be behind this' he thought 'Kakashi sent me back his report about the Oto team he interrogated; seems like too much of a coincidence'. Hiruzen puffed out some smoke and smirked 'well then, I guess while I'm here I can see how Naruto's doing; I bet he'd love to see me' he thought.
Kumo hospital: With Yuui, Tonoi, Mayui and Koyoi
Yuui was laying in a hospital bed with multiple bandages covering her body and scarfing down pizza out of a box like it was about to go out of style; ever since she woke up she's been going back to her old habit of stress eating. Mayui, Tonoi and Koyoi have seen this more times than they can remember; the day she had to take her final exam to pass the ninja academy, the day before she went on her first B-rank mission and the night before the first phase of the chunin exams.
Only a select few people knew about it, her parents and her team; and now it was showing full force.
"Slow down girl; that pizza is gonna go right to you're thighs" Mayui said trying to take the pizza box away; Yuui pulled it away and spoke.
"I'm fine, just leave me alone" Yuui said in between bites.
"What are you stressing about; the village has everything under control" Koyoi said.
"Yeah, the Biju is gone and the boy is locked up under tighter than a nuns chastity belt" Tonoi said "so what's eating you and making you eat?"
Yuui paused for a moment and looked at them all "I-I-I" Yuui stuttered "It's about what happened last night; something happened and I can't explain it".
"Oh come on Yuui" Koyoi said sitting on the bed with her "there was no way you could've beaten that thing; hell even Lord Raikage was going to have a hard time".
"Yeah, you have nothing to be ashamed about" Mayui said "so you got hurt, big deal; I mean at least Naruto was there to save you"; upon hearing this Yuui froze and had a flashback.
"Of course I did, I could never let anything happen to you" Naruto's voice echoed in her mind as she remembered his smile; upon this happening she began to grow red.
"SHUT UP" Yuui shouted startling them all "SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP SHUT UP; I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT"; Yuui was whining like a little kid making everyone looked confused. Usually Yuui was so confident and headstrong, and seeing this surprised her team.
"Wait a minute, don't tell me" Tonoi said and everyone looked at him "no way…"; Tonoi got a smirk and leaned in. "Don't tell me that our 'not so little' Yuui caught some feelings for Naruto?" Tonoi said.
"What? No way" Koyoi said looking at his sensei "there's no way that'll happen; I mean Yuui here is so-"; Koyoi turned to her and saw Yuui's face. Yuui looked like she was about to start crying from embarrassment "oh my god" he said.
"BWAHAHAHAHA" Mayui laughed out loud and Yuui looked at her.
"It's not funny and it's not like that" Yuui said crossing her arms and closing her eyes "I-I'm just really happy he saved me is all; nothing more".
"Oh yeah?" Mayui said and Yuui nodded.
"Yeah" Yuui said.
"Wow Yuui" Mayui said making look at her "you are one delusional girl"; Yuui grabbed a piece of pizza and threw it at Mayui hitting her in the face with it. Mayui grabbed the slice and began to eat it "yep… denial" she said.
"Screw you guys, I'm not getting any feelings for Naruto" Yuui said and Tonoi looked at her.
"Oh yeah?" Tonoi said "because when Naruto got out of surgery-"; Yuui immediately jumped to her feet.
"Naruto had surgery?" Yuui said alarmed and Tonoi nodded "where is he; is he ok?"
"He's in his room right now, twenty-two 'B' ; apparently he had a brain bleed and-" Tonoi didn't even finish his sentence when Yuui bolted out of the room "and there we have it".
"Wow… Yuui likes Naruto huh?" Koyoi said as he reached over and grabbed the pizza box taking a slice for himself "what an odd pair".
"Yeah, a daughter of a Kage and a orphan from the slums; like lady and the tramp" Mayui said and Tonoi spoke up.
"Nah I think he meant the fact that Yuui's an entire foot taller than him" Tonoi said "that height difference is gonna be some comedy gold soon".
Outside of Naruto's room: With Yuui
Yuui skidded to a halt on front of room twenty-two B and knocked on the door "Naruto, Naruto, Naruto" she repeated.
"Hold on I'm coming" came a female voice; upon the door opening Yakumo revealed herself and smiled "oh hey Yuui; come on it". Yakumo let Yuui into the room and upon entering Yuui saw Anko and Kurenai also in the room.
"Where's Naruto; is he recovered from his surgery?" Yuui asked and Anko looked confused.
"Surgery? What Surgery" Anko said "we just got done bringing all of Naruto's shit"; Anko pointed over to the corner of the room and Yuui went wide eyed. In the corner of the room was a pile of gift baskets, boxes, bags and envelopes; from what she saw there were liquor bottles, cheeses, flowers, fruits, dried and cured meats, jams, cloths and other things too.
"What the hell?" Yuui said.
"Hey guys check it out" came Naruto's voice and Yuui froze in place for a second before turning around and seeing Naruto covered in bandages and wearing hospital pajamas enter the room with a small pink box "this guy gave me a box of sweets from a local bakery". "Oh, hey Yuui; glad to see that you're up" Naruto said and Yuui's heart began to beat faster; but thankfully Anko butted in.
"Does it have-" Anko began but Naruto cut her off.
"Yes, it has dango" Naruto said and Anko skipped over, grabbed the box before sitting down next to Kurenai on the couch and began munching away.
"I swear that stuff is like cocaine to you" Kurenai said as Anko began to eat her first stick of dango.
"Hey, I'm gonna eat these things until I'm as big as a house" Anko said with a cheeky smile.
"Ok, I just gotta ask" Yuui said speaking to Naruto "what is up with all these boxes and baskets and crap"; Naruto looked to the corner and nodded, he turned back to Yuui with his foxy grin which made her heart flutter.
"Well you see… it kinda happened this morning" Naruto said.
Flashback; 3 hours ago: With Naruto, Anko, Kurenai and Yakumo
Naruto was standing up while Kurenai and Anko rewrapped his chest bandages "aw man that's tender; can't you be a little more gentle or get a nurse?" Naruto whined and Kurenai spoke up.
"Sorry Naruto; all the nurses are busy with other patients" Kurenai said and Naruto begrudgingly nodded.
"Yeah, so quit whining like a little bitch" Anko said as she flicked Naruto chest making him wince in pain.
"Owww, you asshole" Naruto groaned and Anko laughed before being 'bonked' on the head by Kurenai.
Yakumo who was sitting on the couch reading a book heard some noise and looked around; she then looked out the window and saw a massive crowd outside all shouting. She couldn't tell what they were saying until she heard 'Naruto'.
"U-ummm, sensei?" Yakumo said nervously "there's a crowd outside the hospital and they're shouting 'Naruto'"; upon saying this everyone looked at her and Kurenai rushed over.
"What's a crowd doing out there; and why are they calling for Naruto?" Kurenai said.
"Who cares?" Anko said as she walked over with Naruto "if they want to harm Naruto then they gotta go through me".
"Nah, screw that; this isn't my first angry mob" Naruto said as he opened the window "they want me; they're gonna get me"; before Kurenai could stop him he activated his lighting cloak and looked to Anko. "Lets kick some ass" Naruto said and Anko nodded with a smile.
"Lets show these assholes who's boss" Anko said as both she and Naruto jumped out the window to the crowd below.
"No, you idiots" Kurenai growled out as she jumped out as well; Yakumo feeling overwhelmed swallowed hard and jumped out with her team.
All four landed in their taijutsu stances with Naruto in the front crackling with red lighting "alright you lot; you want me, you got me" Naruto shouted. To his and his teams surprise the crowd erupted in applause and cheers instead of curses and shouting 'uhh… what the hell's going on?' he thought.
"What an entrance" "that's pretty cool" "Oh my Kami it's him" "He's even cuter in person" came multiple voices.
Anko got out of her taijutsu stance and leaned over to Kurenai "umm Kurenai; I'm not an expert, but I'm sure an angry crowd would've charged us by now… and wouldn't be praising Naruto" she said.
"I-I don't think this is an angry mob" Kurenai said as she looked at the crowd; there were a lot of women, kids and elderly there in the crowd "I think this is the exact opposite".
"You mean a 'happy' mob?" Yakumo asked and both Anko and Kurenai looked at her "if there is such a thing?"
Naruto deactivated his lighting cloak and a dark skinned man wearing an expensive Kimono walked forward "so you must be Naruto; the brave lad who saved out precious Lady Yuui and helped stop the Biju?" The man asked.
Naruto blinked and nodded "uh… yeah that's me" Naruto said and the man took his hand and shook it.
"I must say son you have done a great deed to this village" the man said "even with the bad blood between our two nations you still ran head first into battle to protect us and our Lady Yuui; for that we are ever grateful".
"What are you talking about dude; of course I'd help?" Naruto asked and the man looked puzzled "Yuui is like my best friend; I wasn't gonna let her fight that big bastard alone". "Besides I couldn't care less about our villages rivalry; I don't like seeing innocent people hurt" Naruto said truthfully.
"Such a honest and humble young man you are" the man said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out an envelope "here you go lad, as a token of my appreciation". Naruto took the envelope and opened it revealing a large wad of cash; Naruto was about to give it back when a group of four school girls came up next.
"Here's a little token of our appreciation" one of the girls said as they handed Naruto a basket of homemade cookies which Naruto took; all four girls then gave Naruto a kiss on the cheek making him blush before walking away giggling.
The next three hours was of Naruto receiving gifts and standing ovations from the crowd and Anko, Kurenai and Yakumo making multiple trips back and fourth.
Flashback ends
"Can you believe it Yuui" Naruto said looking at his pile of gifts "I'm finally being respected; back in Konoha people would probably downplay what I did". "But Kumo is actually thanking me for what I did" Naruto said as he walked over to a basket and picket up a teddy bear which looked like a Kumo ninja "heh… it's funny isn't it?"
"What's funny?" Yuui asked and Naruto looked at her.
"I'm treated like a hero here for doing something that I never wanted credit for" Naruto said as he put the bear back "I didn't do this for glory or recognition; I did it because it was the right thing to do and I didn't want to see you get hurt". Naruto looked at Yuui with a soft smile "all these things wouldn't mean a damn if something happened to you" he said; Yuui felt her heart stop for a moment.
'Oh god, he…he-' Yuui began to think until someone came into the room; Kakashi and Hiruzen stood in the doorway and Yuui sighed in relief 'oh thank god'
"Yo" Kakashi said lazily.
"Naruto, my boy; how're you doing?" Hiruzen asked and Naruto beamed.
"Ji-Ji, you're here" Naruto said as he jogged over and they began to hug "ow, ow, ow"; Hiruzen let go and Naruto winced in pain. "Sorry, my ribs" Naruto said and Hiruzen chuckled.
"Sorry" Hiruzen said.
"Oh my god" Kakashi said as he saw Naruto's pile of gifts "what the hell is all this?"
"Gifts from the thankful population of Kumo" Naruto said as he walked over to his bed and took a seat "you want something, take it; it's too much just for me anyways". "I'm already giving stuff to Anko sensei, Kurenai sensei and Yakumo here" Naruto said and they all nodded.
"I get the candies" Anko said with a smile.
"He's giving me all the wine and cheese's" Kurenai said looking at her five baskets 'now me and Asuma will have a nice snack tonight'.
"I'm taking the stuffed animals" Yakumo said as she pointed to her pile of stuffed animals in the corner "they're so cute and I don't want them to be thrown away". "Although Anko sensei is keeping this one" Yakumo said as she got up, walked over and picked up a six foot long snake plushie.
"That one is going on my couch" Anko said as she took another bite of dango while Hiruzen and Kakashi sweat dropped.
"Oh, uh… ok" Hiruzen said before looking to Yuui "hello again Lady Yuui; I see you're recovering well".
Yuui looked at Hiruzen and nodded "yes I am, thank you Lord Hokage" Yuui said politely "just come bruised and some small fractures; but the nurses used medial chakra to heal me". "I should be fine in a week or so" Yuui said and Hiruzen nodded.
"Well I'm glad to hear that; it'd be such a shame for a young lady like you to miss out on the chunin exams" Hiruzen said and upon hearing this everyone looked at him.
"What do you mean Lord Hokage?" Kurenai asked.
"Oh, that's what I came to tell you all; the chunin exams have been pushed back but not canceled" Hiruzen said with a bright smile "thankfully the Ichibi didn't destroy the stadium being used for the finals; so the exams are still a go". Upon hearing this Naruto, Yuui and Yakumo all smiled "the finals will be in two months" he said.
"YES!" Naruto cheered "oh man I thought the whole chunin exams thing went down the crapper when the attack happened". "And I get an extra month to train for it" Naruto said and Hiruzen nodded and Kakashi spoke up.
"Not just that, but some of the teams have dropped out" Kakashi said "the Suna team forfeited and the Oto team was killed during the attack". Hearing this Naruto began to grin and Kakashi gave him an eye smile "which means that you'll have less competition" he said.
"Wow, that's surprising" Yakumo said "so what do we do now?"
"Get ready to train of course" Hiruzen said "although there seems to be a extra factor that popped up"; Hiruzen turned to Naruto and smiled. "Apparently Naruto here made quite and impression among the villagers here" Hiruzen said "they wish for him to stay here and train; after all he's Kumo's 'adoptive son'".
"Seriously?" Naruto said surprised and Hiruzen nodded "awesome; that means I can hang out with Yuui and Koyoi and-"; he began but Hiruzen raised his hand.
"I knew you'd want to stay here Naruto, but we have a problem with that; you are the Jinchuriki of the nine tails" Hiruzen said before giving Yuui a pained look "and sadly Kumo has a reputation of… kidnapping and betrayal". Yuui nodded as she knew of her nations past actions especially of the kidnapping of Hinata Hyuga and the murder of Hizashi Hyuga "so, our councils made a deal; or I should say… a trade" he said.
"What trade?" Anko asked and Hiruzen spoke.
"If Naruto stays here so will Anko; that way is to make sure nothing happens to him" Hiruzen said and Naruto nodded; Hiruzen then shifted his focus to Yuui "and in return Yuui here will go to Konoha along with Suzui and Darui for the same reason". "Along with that you'll each be trained by a respected member of each village" Hiruzen said and upon hearing this Naruto grew even more excited.
"Who, who, who?" Naruto said getting more excited by the minute.
"By me" came the voice of Tonoi; everyone looked and saw him leaning against the door "they figured since I trained you once before, I should do it again; and trust me, by the time you're done you're gonna see the difference".
"And who will I be trained by?" Yuui asked and Kakashi grimaced.
"Umm… Might Guy" Kakashi said "he's-".
"Aww, what?" Naruto whined "she's training with Guy Sensei; that's so unfair"; upon hearing this Yuui looked at him.
"What's that supposed to mean; what's so special about him?" Yuui asked and Naruto looked at her.
"He's like… the best taijutsu expert in Konoha; he's an absolute monster in a fight, they call him the 'Leaf's Noble Green Beast'" Naruto continued and Yuui nodded in acknowledgement "not just that, but his training exercises are insane; I can barely keep up".
"Shit" Anko said butting in "I have a hard time keeping up; that dude will run anyone except his little minion Lee into the ground". After hearing all this Yuui looked at Hiruzen wide eyed and spoke.
"I wanna do it" Yuui said with a smirk and had a thought 'I never back down from a physical challenge; I work out with my daddy all the time, this will be nothing'.
"Alright then, now I need to borrow Naruto for a moment; there's someone he needs to meet" Hiruzen said and both his and Kakashi's moods shifted "Kakashi, Kurenai, I'll need both of you to come with me; just in case".
After hearing this Naruto felt uneasy and spoke "ummm… is it bad?" Naruto asked and Hiruzen gave him a passive look.
"It'll depend on what happens first" Hiruzen said and Naruto nodded "lets go"; Hiruzen led the way out followed by Kakashi and Kurenai. Naruto looked back at Yuui, Yakumo and Anko for a moment and gave them a smile.
"Be back in a few" Naruto said before heading out.
"What was that about?" Yakumo asked and Anko furrowed her brow.
"I have a good idea on what it was" Anko said "good thing they took Kurenai"; Yuui hearing this looked to her and spoke.
"Why's that?" Yuui asked.
"Just in case Naruto flys into a rage" Anko said making both girls go wide eyed; Tonoi was leaning against the wall as he heard this and ran his fingers along his mustache.
'I ain't never seen Naruto go off the handle' Tonoi thought 'must be some serious shit if it'll make him go nuts'.
Kumo training ground; Thirty Minutes later: With Naruto, Hiruzen, Kakashi and Kurenai
Naruto has been following Hiruzen through the training ground with Kakashi and Kurenai walking behind him; as the walk continued Naruto began to grow more curious 'who the hell am I meeting; and why is it all the way over here?'
As they continued to walk they saw a pond and an individual standing in the middle of the body of water; the figure turned around and Naruto got a good look at him. He was an older man with long white hair, a red haori, two red marking going down from his eyes down to his jaw, a giant scroll on his back and a forehead protector that said oil on it.
"Umm… who the hell is this guy?" Naruto asked and Hiruzen turned to him but before he could begin the white haired old man began his routine.
"So you wish to know who I am?" Said the man as he began to do a strange dance "I am the man who has no enemies in the North, South, East or west; not even in the heavens". The old man struck a pose "I am one of the Sannin, the White Haired Toad Tamer" he said "The Great Jiraya" Jiraya said as he summoned a toad and stood on top of it. Naruto went wide eyed and Jiraya smirked; Naruto took a step forward and began to run towards him and Jiraya chuckled 'heh, looks like the kid was enamored by my display' he thought 'not surprising; I am-'.
Naruto suddenly activated his chakra cloak and lunged forward, tackling Jiraya off his toad like a Line Backer and took him to the ground; Jiraya hit the ground hard and had the wind knocked out of him, as he was not anticipating being attacked. He then found Naruto's hands around his throat as Naruto began to strangle him.
"YOU OLD BASTARD; YOU HAVE A LOT OF NERVE COMING HERE!" Naruto roared as he began to strangle Jiraya "I ALWAYS SAID I WAS GONNA DO THIS; AND I NEVER GO BACK ON MY WORD".
Jiraya broke Naruto's choke hold and punched him in the face knocking him away; Kurenai and Kakashi were about to jump in but Hiruzen stopped them "don't, let them hash it out" he said.
"You damn brat; do you know who I am?" Jiraya choked out as got up he glared at Naruto.
"My deadbeat god father" Naruto said shocking Jiraya "now I'm gonna beat the shit out of you for leaving me"; Naruto got back up and charged towards Jiraya at full speed.
"Wait, Naruto; I can-" Jiraya began until he raised his arm to block a kick from Naruto; Naruto followed up with a punch which Jiraya caught and spun Naruto around. Jiraya put his arm behind Naruto and held him in a joint lock "if you'd let me talk I'll-" Jiraya began until Naruto cocked his head forward and head butted Jiraya with the back of his head hitting him in the nose.
Naruto landed on his feet and spun around to attack Jiraya again only to receive a punch to the gut; Naruto had the wind knocked out of him and Jiraya followed up with an elbow to the back. Naruto was sent to the ground and Jiraya finished with a kick to the ribs sending Naruto flying towards Hiruzen, Kakashi and Kurenai; Kakashi got in the path and caught Naruto, sliding back a few feet until he stopped.
Naruto began to cough and wheeze in Kakashi's arms while Jiraya walked forward, apparently all of Naruto's previous attacks didn't even leave a mark.
"If you'd calm the hell down I'll explain myself" Jiraya said as Kakashi put Naruto on the ground; Naruto wobbled onto his feet and looked at Jiraya with red slitted eyed and Jiraya paused.
"I don't want your excuses" Naruto said glaring at him "I've been alone for thirteen years; and to find out I had you was the biggest slap to the goddamn face I ever got". "You never came back, never checked in; the only reason I know about you is because of my moms letter" Naruto said and Jiraya felt a pang in his heart "that was four years ago; and now you show up… how many times did Ji-Ji send you a message?"
Jiraya felt pain in his heart and began to speak "I don't know; I was busy with my spy network and-" he began.
"Three times Jiraya" Hiruzen said looking at him "I sent you three messages through the monkey summoning contract; and all you said was 'I'm busy'".
"I was out spying for you sensei" Jiraya snapped at Hiruzen "I was under your orders to keep tabs on Konoha's enemies".
"And yet you couldn't find the time to come back… not even once?" Hiruzen said and Jiraya was at a loss for words.
"You weren't there then; and I don't want you now" Naruto said as he looked at Jiraya "stay out of my damn life"; Jiraya saw the pure and unfiltered hatred in Naruto's eyes and began to feel his heart break.
Kurenai stayed silent through all this and reached over and took Naruto's hand "come on Naruto… lets go back to the hospital" she said softly; Naruto without saying a word began to walk away with her while Hiruzen and Kakashi stood there.
Jiraya looked to Kakashi and spoke "what, aren't you going to do something?" Jiraya asked.
"Naruto just got around to forgiving me" Kakashi said as he turned around "and at least I tried"; Kakashi said this in the coldest tone he could muster. "If you contact Naruto and he doesn't want you there… you'll have to deal with me" Kakashi said before walking away.
Jiraya then looked towards Hiruzen "sensei?" Jiraya said looking for an answer.
"You dug this hole yourself Jiraya" Hiruzen said turning around "you best find a way to dig yourself out"; Hiruzen vanished in a swirl of leaves leaving Jiraya alone in the clearing.
Jiraya began to feel sadness and regret as he was left all alone "damn it" he said as he looked up at the sky "Well Minato… I really screwed the pooch on this one".
With Naruto and Kurenai
Naruto and Kurenai were walking through the training ground back to the village; Kurenai was still holding Naruto's hand as they walked "don't worry Naruto; Lord Hokage and Kakashi will handle this" Kurenai said.
"Stupid bastard, coming back after all these years" Naruto said in a growl; Kurenai looked at him and stopped walking as she was shocked at what she saw. Naruto had tears running down his cheeks as he held her hand "stupid old man… why wasn't he there for me when I was a kid?" Naruto said choking on his words "why…why…?"; Naruto looked at Kurenai and spoke in a shaking and whimpering voice. "Why didn't he want me back then?" Naruto cried out.
Kurenai grabbed Naruto into a hug and buried his face into her breast as he began to sob; Kurenai patted his back and stroked his hair as he cried "it's ok Naruto, let it out; there's nothing to be ashamed of" she said.
Unseen by Kurenai and Naruto, Yuui was hiding behind a rock and saw Naruto crying; upon seeing this Yuui began to feel her heart break at the sight 'oh Naruto' she thought. Yuui wanted to go out there but stopped; she felt like it wasn't her place and decided to sneak away 'I'll go by and see him later; make sure he's ok'.
Yuui snuck away not leaving any trace of her being there.
Kumo main gates; 2 days later: With Naruto, Yuui, Anko, Kurenai, Yakumo, Hiruzen, A, Uzui, Tonoi, Mayui, Koyoi, Darui and Suzui
Naruto, Anko, A, Uzui, Tonoi, Mayui and Koyoi were looking at the combined group of Yuui, Hiruzen, Kurenai, Yakumo, Darui and Suzui as they got ready to go to Konoha.
Uzui was being a doting mother and hugging her daughter tightly "when you get there I want you to call us; I don't care how late it is, I just want you to call" she said.
"Ok mom, I will" Yuui said slightly embarrassed as he mom was basically hanging off her.
"And make sure to call us every Saturday; and try not to talk to strangers and-" Uzui began until A reached out and grabbed her by the back of her kimono and pulled her away.
"Pop your tit out of her mouth Uzui; she's seventeen not seven" A said and his wife glared at him.
"She is my precious baby girl" Uzui said and A sighed.
"She's my daughter too, but this is her choice" A said, despite saying this inside he was as nervous as his wife.
"I'll be fine; I'll have Darui, Suzui, Yakumo and Kurenai Sensei to watch over me" Yuui said with a smile; she then looked to Tonoi, Mayui and Koyoi and spoke "bye guys, see you guys in a few months".
"Later Yuui" Mayui said as she gave Yuui a hug.
"Take care; call us when you get the chance" Koyoi said.
"Make sure to give it your all; and show them what a Kumo Kunoichi can do" Tonoi said with a small smile".
"Sure thing guys" Yuui said before braking the hug with Koyoi and finally looking to Naruto and began to turn red; and when she looked at Naruto she was at a loss for words. 'Oh crap what do I say?' Yuui thought as she 'do I say "see you later Naruto"… no that sounds too uncaring; how about "I'll miss you while I'm-" no, no, no, no, that sounds super desperate'. 'Aw damn it, why is this so-' Yuui began to thing but Naruto spoke up.
"Bye Yuui, have fun in Konoha" Naruto said as he took a step forward and gave her a giant hug "make sure to stop by Ichiraku's, I'm sure they'd love to see you again". Yuui blushed even harder and gave Naruto a quick hug; Yuui then pushed Naruto away and turned around.
"Alright enough mushy stuff; I'm only gonna be gone a little while" Yuui said trying to hide her blush from Naruto "b-but… I'll miss you too Naruto"; Naruto smiled at this and Hiruzen spoke up.
"Good luck Naruto; have fun training here" Hiruzen said and Naruto nodded.
"Bye Naruto, I'll miss you" Yakumo said giving Naruto a hug.
"I believe in you Naruto; I know you'll get stronger" Kurenai said giving him a smile.
"Thanks girls; I appreciate it" Naruto said as Yakumo broke the hug and walked back to the group. After a few more words Hiruzen, Yuui, Yakumo, Kurenai, Suzui and Darui all began their trek to Konoha "oh man did you see Yuui?" Naruto said speaking up and everyone looked at him "she looked so nervous; you saw how red she was getting?"
"Kami your an idiot" Anko said and Naruto grew a tic mark 'I swear this kid is as sharp as rusted iron and blunt as brick'.
"Alright then people; time to get going" A said before looking to Naruto and speaking "tomorrow we'll begin your training; so for now go back home and rest up, because tomorrow is when you're gonna start suffering".
Naruto went wide eyed at this and spoke "wait, are you training me too?" Naruto asked and A nodded.
"Yuui and Uzui asked me to help; and as much as I don't want too, I hate paper work even more" A said before getting a slap on the shoulder from his wife "so I'll help you tomorrow with the first half of your training; when Tonoi here will take over the second half". "Also I need you to sign this" A said as he took out a piece of paper and handed it to Naruto.
"What's this?" Naruto asked and Tonoi spoke up.
"Just a agreement saying that we and Kumo are not responsible for your injury, death or crippling" Tonoi said.
"Oh ok" Naruto said nonchalantly making everyone else sweat drop as he gave the paper a 'once over'; "coolio" Naruto said as he took out a pen and signed it.
"Alright then, now rest up; you'll need it" A said as he and Tonoi walked away; Uzui stayed behind and gave Naruto a hug.
"Welcome to Kumo Naruto" Uzui said "and just letting you know you can stop by whenever you want; I'm sure that hotel is feeling a little claustrophobic".
"Huh, I checked out two days ago" Naruto said and Uzui went wide eyed.
"What, then where are you staying?" Uzui asked.
A few hours later; at Koyoi's house: With Naruto, Koyoi, Harui and Hosoi
Naruto was wearing a white T-shirt and one of Koyoi's pink pajama pants and sitting around a small table in Koyoi's house; Koyoi and his parents were all wearing their pajamas as they played a board game. Koyoi was wearing a white shirt and purple pajama's with cats on them while his father wore a yellow shirt and black bottoms and his mom wore a long green nightgown that went down to her shins.
"Ok my roll" Hosoi said as he picked up the dice and rolled it on the board "ok… six"; Hosoi moved his piece and landed on a tile and Naruto started laughing.
"Sorry Mr.Hosoi, looks like you owe me two thousand Ryo" Naruto chuckled out and Hosoi huffed.
"Oh phooey" Hosoi said as he gave Naruto his toy money.
"Hey guys, thanks for letting me stay here" Naruto said to them all "and thanks for inviting me to family game night".
"Well of course Naruto" Harui said as she patted Naruto's shoulder "any friend of Koyoi is welcome here; besides I love your company, you're such a free spirit".
Naruto blushed and giggled "thanks" Naruto said; suddenly there was a ding and a old servant walked in with a smile.
"Sorry to interrupt your game night; but I took the liberty to make hot cocoa and cookies for you all" the old man said as he put a cup and cookies in front of everyone. (Imagine a British butler accent).
"Why thank you Hachiro" Hosoi said as he took a sip of his drink "why don't you go home; you're wife must be missing you?"
"Very well my Lord; I'll take my leave" Hachiro said "I'll be coming by tomorrow to start breakfast; do have a good night"; the old servant walked away and Naruto whistled.
"Man, that's one charming Mofo" Naruto said getting everyone to giggle "I wonder… how'd I'd be as a butler?"; Naruto imagined himself as a butler defending a pretty aristocrat girl from a group of ninja. "A ninja butler" Naruto said and everyone laughed at his statement; Naruto and the rest of Koyoi's family continued their game night and unseen by any of them Jiraya was in a tree using his telescope to spy on them.
"Aww shit… I really screwed up" Jiraya said as put away his scope and began to rub his temples "damn it, this isn't going to be easy; but I will get through to him". Jiraya stood up was about to leave when he turned around on his tree branch when saw Hachiro standing behind him with his arms behind his back.
"Lord Jiraya, Master Hosoi and Lady Harui please ask that you vacate the premises" Hachiro said in a calm demeanor "and if you wish to speak to Lord Naruto then you may do so; but only if he'll allow it". The old servant turned around and made a hand sign "cheerio"; the old man vanished in a bolt of lightning and Jiraya was left wide eyed.
"What the hell; first Naruto and now even the butler is on my ass?" Jiraya groaned as he scratch his head in frustration "goddamn it, this trip has gone to hell". Jiraya made a hand sign and disappeared in a puff of smoke leaving Naruto and Koyoi's family alone to finish their game night.
