011: Damned If I Do
"Come on Naru when can I take this thing off… I already know we're in the old tunnel system, near the mines.
"Just." Naruto began as he glanced behind him. "Do you trust me?"
He heard the younger girl's breath quicken slightly as he held her hand to guide her.
Yeah of course." The girl answered, "You've been the one constant since we met."
"Then in a couple more minutes it will be worth it, promise."
The pair continued for a few minutes walking through the dark.
"Must be nice having night vision." Jinx pouted.
"Just another reason why I'm awesome, duh." The blonde said as he guided Jinx to a stop.
There was a sudden rushing noise that nearly drowned out the sounds of their steps.
"Ok stay right here and remove the bandana when I tell you ok."
"What?" Jinx responded but only heard Naruto's footsteps lead away from her.
"Ok!" Naruto shouted take it off in three, two."
There was a large metallic sound of rusted gears moving.
"And now!" the blonde shouted as Jinx pulled the bandana down her face.
The sixteen-year-olds eyes widened and her jaw dropped.
She looked upon gems glistening up the cavern walls, a natural formed waterfall poured into what looked to be a natural hot spring.
On the otherside of the spring was a watermill that looked to be in some disrepair.
Jinx looked down and spotted a blanket nailed into the earth with treys of food.
"Naruto?" the girl asked.
"Well Silco had me working your sixteenth so I figured this would make up for it."
"H-how did you find this place?"
"Silco funnily enough, gave me map of the old tunnels a while back and I came out here a couple weeks back." Naruto explained with a grin. "I figured we could turn it into something you know."
"You know I like to tinker." The girl pondered, And no one live here?"
"That's the thing Silco said it used to be a project of some guy he knew back when he Vander was good." Naruto said, "Apparently the guy was building it up to surprise his misses but they died and he never finished."
"Weird."
"I know right but yeah I think he just wanted to make up for making me work on your day." Naruto smiled, "So shall we."
Jinx just nodded and followed the blonde to blanket.
"Oh and before I forget, I've scatter fully loaded paintball guns around the cavern."
Jinx's eyes narrowed "Oh you're so going down."
"Jinx she's waking up." Naruto called snapping the girl out of memories of the day she knew how she felt for certain about the blonde.
The girl nodded as the blonde left the room.
Vi groaned as her eye slowly opened to see a dark room and some kind of table in front of her.
As she tried to move she grunted as she realised that she was tied down to her seat. "Shit, Naruto… What happened." She mumbled while looking down.
"Are we still sisters." Jinx asked calmly.
Vi looked towards the voice but couldn't see a shadow. "Nothing is going to change that."
A flame ignited in the darkness causing the pinkette to look towards the light to see her sister holding a lighter. "Wow how many braincells did he knock loose?" Jinx snickered before leaning slightly closer "I always knew you were gonna come back, deep down."
Jinx pushed Vi's chair turning it in the darkness.
"Hey what's going on? Where's Naruto?" Vi questioned confusion ebbed over her face along with dried sweat and a pounding headache.
Jink giggled to herself "We've got some family matters to handle." She said before throwing the exposed flame over the candles igniting each one the littered the table.
Before Vi was a dinner table set with disturbing essence.
'Is that supposed to Mylo? And Claggor' Vi thought in horror before she spotted Silco tied up at the end of the table. 'The hell?'.
"He took everything from us." Jinx spoke up as Vi saw the mouth gag on Silco. "Right here…where he stabbed Vander in the back." The girl sneered," Just like he planned do with Naruto, with me." Her tone reflected the betrayal she felt before she hardened from the pain.
Crows circled above as the late-night fog rolled in.
"All the time saying you abandon me when he knew the truth." Jinx said before taking a step toward the man. "Liar." She hissed before turning toward her sister. "Were missing a couple people sis," the bluenettes said as she walked around the other side of the table passing behind her older sister.
"After a wild night out on the town Naruto and I stopped off in Piltover this morning." Jinx said before glancing down at Vi.
Vi heard footsteps from the darkness behind her as Naruto walked out whistling as one her gauntlets floated behind holding some kind of platter with a lid covering it.
Naruto did a mocking bow toward Jinx with a grin written across his face. Before lowering the tray onto the table.
As Naruto released his magnetic control of the 'mining tool' Jink lent over the table kissed the blonde full on the lips in front of Vi before glancing over and placing a hand on the lid.
"I paid your girlfriend a little visit this morning…"
Vi's eyes widened. "What did you do?" she asked as she glanced at what the girl was holding.
"I made her a snack." Jinx responded simply, as the made sure to slowly lift the lid as steam escaped.
"NO!" Vi shouted as she looked away.
Naruto snickered.
"Sheesh, I'm not that crazy." Jinx responded to her sister's cry.
Vi looked back to see a cupcake with three blue gemstones acting as cherries.
Jinx snorted as she chucked the lid in the darkness it clanging against the floor, as she walked off into the darkness
"You know Vi but we get started I just wanted to say thank you for two more of those gemstones." The blonde said as he moved the gauntlet like a puppet only now it was defaced by Jinx painted over as she had gotten bored waiting for her sister to wake up.
"What the hell is going on Naruto." Vi snapped.
Jinx came back wheeling another bound and gagged person.
"Introducing the piltie enforcer whose name I still don't care to remember." Naruto began as Jinx slammed a bound Caitlyn into the table.
"What the hell is going on Powder!" Vi shouted.
Naruto looked over to Silco with a conflicted frown on his face. 'I know what Jinx heard and I believe but would he really sell us out?' the blonde thought to himself as he looked over into the darkness and saw maddening pink eyes in darkness staring back at him.
And in a blink they were gone.
Jinx circled Vi once again. "And where should I sit." She said as she turned one chair that had the name Powder tagged on it. "It's your choice really."
Vi looked along the table and spotted another two chairs next to each other.
A black chair with Jinx tagged in the middle cover in crow feathers and next to that was a chair with a snarling fox tagged on it in orange.
Jinx drew her pistol and placed in the girl's hands. "Make her go away please."
"HMMMM!"
"A-And you send her on her way, and you can have Powder back."
'She won't do it. She doesn't love you anymore you broken thing.' Caitlyn's voice whispered in Jinx's mind.
Jinx winced and glanced to the side and their stood Naruto silent, unmoving, never smiling leaning against the wall staring at her. His mouth never moved she felt a primal intent.
Vi looked between her sister and her crush/friend, before focusing on her sister and looking down. "I can't…"
Jinxed scoffed before grabbing the gun and aiming it at Caitlyn's head.
Naruto arched a brow at Jinx curious to what she was going to do.
"Powder stop… Look we can go somewhere. Anywhere just me and you."
Jinx froze "Where would we go."
'She wants to take you away from me,' Naruto snarled at the girl.
'And then she'll abandon for the rich girl, it's what I would do.' Mylo's voice spat.
"No, no she doesn't mean it like that.. She wouldn't." Jinx muttered to herself.
Naruto moved towards her, but she held a hand up as he halted.
'I'm good.' He read from her body language, so he sat back down.
"It's true we can put this behind us and you'll never have to see him, no them again I promise."
Naruto growled. 'The audacity of this.' He thought as static flickered along his skin. He could feel the shimmer boiling under the surface. 'Breath, and cool Jinx wouldn't leave you,' he thought.
Silco also had something to say about that.
Jinx and Naruto nodded to each other before Naruto clicked his fingers and the metal clasp snapped open as Jinx pulled it free throwing it to the floor. "And what do you have to say to that?"
"Her name is Jinx!" Silco barked, "She'll be with you a day and then realise you are not that same scared weak little girl." The man turned to Jinx "She wants to take you away from Naruto… from me!"
"I don't mean to interrupt here but let's play a fun one… You pilties' should pretty familiar you so often use it interrogations." Naruto sneered as he looked at Caitlyn." The blonde said as he waved his hand and another wheelchair rolled out of the darkness, revealing Sheriff Marcus bond just like Caitlyn only not in his uniform but medical robes.
Jinx looked over with a curious eye. "Marcus? I forgot about you, how unfortunate." She clapped. "What game we playing Naru?"
"Two truths and a lie."
"Now you told Silco that Vi was dead in a ditch somewhere?"
Marcus just nodded.
"Ok Did he pay to lie to us?" Jinx asked next.
"She was my smoking gun." Marcus whispered.
"Oh, so if you ever got the balls to stand up to him you would get a confession out Vi…" Naruto spoke up as he stood and drew his own revolver. "Vi pick one." Naruto said simply as he swerved his aim between Caitlyn and Marcus. "Two Enforcers, both not looking so hot. One a corrupt piece of scum deserves nothing but death, or your sweet little cupcake of an Enforcer."
Jinx's grin got wide as she realised what he was doing.
Vi's eyes widened as her adrenaline spiked once more.
"What's it going to be, tick tock." Naruto hurried.
Marcus was pleading with his eyes.
Naruto fired once but the bullet stopped right at the older enforcer's forehead. "You've got to the time I'm empty." He said as he stared deep into Vi's eyes.
He pulled the trigger again, this time the bullet stopped at Marcus's eye.
Naruto pointed the gun towards Caitlyn.
"Him… I choose him!" Vi shouted.
Marcus's head would have hung low but he two bullets in front of his face.
Caitlyn's eyes widened as Vi refused to look her in the eye as a tear fell.
Jinx frowned, "But Naru, where was the lie?"
The blonde rolled his eyes and looked at the enforcer dead in his eyes. "You get leave here still standing." Naruto said before he pulled the trigger a third time and let all three bullets fly knocking the now dead sheriff scattered over the floor.
Caitlyn screamed behind her gag. That was still a colleague who over saw her training. 'He had a daughter.'
Vi looked away and closed her eyes.
"Enforcer down," Jinx sang before she looked over to the Mylo effigy "Stop talking." She shouted as she shot it causing to knock over a couple cracked champagne flutes.
"Don't look away," Naruto said, "He won't forget the reason he's dead, so you better not forget that you killed him."
Silco's eyes widened as he remembered saying those same words to the blonde years ago.
Silco stood on one side of the door as heard Jinx and Naruto discussing something.
"Hey Naruto, why do you call Silco Pops?" a 13 year old Jinx said with her hair braid toward her shoulders.
Silco glanced through the crack in the door and saw Naruto laughing, as he put his hand behind his head and scratched softly. "Dunno I guess because he calls us his children… you know, Vander was only person before Silco to ever call me a son." Naruto said with a smile.
Jinx just looked at the blonde before returning to her tinkering.
Silco snapped out of the memory and turned toward Jinx. "The Topsider's offered me everything. Independence. A seat at the table. All in return for you both." Silco looked between both Naruto and Jinx. "They can all burn." He snarled, "Everyone betrays us, the Topsider's, Vander, her." He finished as he nodded towards Vi at the other end of the table.
Naruto glanced at Jinx before returning his gaze to oldest in the room.
"It's always only ever been us, you're my daughter." He said before turning toward Naruto, "You are my son. I would never forsake you."
Silco's eyes widened as the sound of a minigun wound and pepper the blonde who was focused on his father figure.
A electromagnetic bubble stopped the kill shots but the force of Jinx weapon sent the blonde of the ledge of the platform they were base.
As the blonde fell. 'Note to self let Jinx know calibre upgrades were worth it,' he thought as he crashed into the debris of the old cannery.
"Naruto!" Jinx cried out as Silco glared at the Enforcer holding Jinx's weapon.
"Naruto no!" Vi shouted in shock as she stared at the now free enforcer with tears streaming down her face.
"Drop the gun!" Caitlyn ordered.
Silco what's with fascination as Jinx's face went from teary eyed to sociopathic at the sound of the enforcers voice. The Shimmer in her eyes flared as she dropped the gun on Silco's plate and held up her hands.
"Caitlyn! Wait she's my sister."
"She too far gone Vi, they both were."
Jinx snickered.
"What's so funny!" Caitlyn snapped.
Silco smirked, "You think that was enough to kill my boy?"
The building shook as purple static danced around the building. The metal around them groaned as Caitlyn and Vi's eyes were drawn to a pillar of power bursting from where Naruto fell.
Jinx smirked before she moved in a flash leaving behind a shimmer trail for those to slow to keep up before she ripped the minigun from the enforcers hands and beat her in the face with it knocking the enforcer out cold from the blow.
"You see you are strong, so finish it." Silco said as Jinx stared down at the enforcer.
"Dammit Powder… Remember who you are. This is not you." Vi pleaded. "I know you remember!"
Jinx froze the voices came back with a reckless abandon screaming and shouting at her.
"Picture Mylo!"
He screamed in her face.
"Remember Claggor!"
He sneered at her.
"No please stop." Jinx cried as she felt smaller and smaller with each moment.
"Vander! Me! Hell, even Naruto from when we were kids! Dammit!"
"No don't listen to her!" Silco shouted as he fought against his restraints.
"Remember Dad… Mum." Vi shouted "What would they say right now!"
Silco got one arm freed and grabbed at Jinx's pistol left in front of him and aimed. Cocking it back made Jinx twitch on reflex.
"Raaaagh!" Jinx turned and fired as purple static danced along the bluenettes handgun.
Bang
Two guns fired but only one echo rang out for the Zaunites.
Vi was breathing heavy as a bullet hole appeared in chair next to her head.
Silco coughed up blood as he dropped the gun which bounced off his lap and to the floor as his chair swivelled round to face away from them.
Naruto who had just made back up to the floor they were on had his hand extended with his eyes wide open as he stared at Silco and then Jinx who dropped her minigun running toward the man. Naruto moved a second later.
"No, no, no!" Jinx cried as she skidded in front of the dying man.
"Pop!" Naruto said as he skidded next Jinx with tears building in his eyes.
"I'm sorry," Jinx repeated as the blonde wrapped an arm around the girl as they both held onto Silco.
Vi watched on. 'He almost shot me but, then the barrel moved at the last second.' She thought as she stared at the trio. 'He saved my life,'
"I never would've given you up, either of up to them." Silco whispered as Jinx held the man's head. "Naruto you have are a force of nature, don't l-le-let the world try to make you anything less, do you understand." Silco coughed out as blood fell from his lips.
Naruto nodded his head rapidly as he blubbered.
Silco turned back to his daughter. "Don't cry… You're perfect." He said as his eyes closed and he slumped over.
The room was silent apart from the occasional sniffle before the pair stood up. They stood up and Jinx slowly moved toward a chair.
"It's ok Powder it's going to be ok." Vi said as she recoiled from the look on her sister's face.
'You killed him, you could have saved him.' A voice whispered in the back of his mind.
"That's enough out of you!" Naruto shouted as the metal band that gagged Caitlyn slapped its way onto Vi's mouth shutting her up. "Nice to know where I stand sis." The blonde muttered as he turned to Jinx.
The bluenettes scoffed before sitting in the feather covered throne.
Pink eyes looked up at Vi. "I thought maybe you could love me like you used to." She paused before looking at Naruto. "Even though I'm different."
"Everyone changes," Naruto said his tone equally as dead as Jinx's.
"Ain't that the truth," Jinx muttered before she looked back to Vi, "But we weren't the only ones to change you know."
"I'm still the same sister you know."
"The sister I knew left, the day Powder died… So, I guess cheers to the new us."
Naruto heard a groan as he glanced over to the stirring Caitlyn. "Yeah know more distractions from you." He said as he clenched his fist and metal pipes moved like a snake before binding the girl and slowly began tightening.
Vi's eyes widened as the enforcer began to squirm from the lack restricted breathing as she was being crushed. "Naruto please!" Vi cried from behind the gag as Jinx looked on uncaringly as she swiped one of the three gemstones.
He held on for a couple more seconds before she lost consciousness once more before he dropped her to the ground. The blonde walked over to the table swiping the last two gemstones.
Jinx grabbed her minigun she placed her forehead against the blonde's chest for a brief moment as pink tears began to fall before no words were needed as she turned and walked over to where they had stored her latest creation.
Static began to cover Naruto's form as he began to float higher and higher until he left the actual building.
Vi looked up until she could no longer see the blonde.
Jinx loaded the Hextech crystal into her shark theme rocket launcher only the words of her chosen father ringing through her ears.
"Jinx is perfect… Show them all who we are…"
With a simple instruction she marched right up the collapsed support beam and looked towards Piltover.
Jinx felt the building shake and rumble beneath her as metal sheets and bolts flew high into the sky above her. The girl nodded as she shouldered 'Fishbones' and took aim.
High above Jinx Naruto hovered with metal nuts, bolts, sheets began circling the blonde before the metallic objects began wrapping around Naruto's left arm. Machine parts formed and fused as the scrap metal formed a big cannon.
"Show them all… You're a force of nature you cannot be contained." Silco's voice rang out in the blonde's mind.
Naruto took a breath before slotting the two gemstones into the scrap cannon.
Back down beneath Naruto Vi could only see a shadow in the clouds.
Caitlyn snapped awake from the rumbling going on around her and as she struggled her way out of the metallic pipe and crawled over to Vi.
"Caitlyn you're ok?" the girl asked as Caitlyn climbed up to the table coughing as she recovered her breath. "I'll get you out in a second before she glanced at the table and gasped.
"What?" Vi questioned before her gaze fell to the table and her own eyes widened.
"It's a map… With all of the Enforcer stations in Piltover." Caitlyn explained with widened eyes.
With shimmer-coloured tears pouring down her face Jinx looked over to her target
'We'll show… We will show them all.'
She pulled the pulled the trigger and Fishbones glowed bright blue before firing its payload.
Naruto's gaze swept across the skyline, tracking the blue plume of Jinx's weapon as it arced towards Piltover. He twisted his left arm, now transformed into the "Damned Fox" cannon, and aimed it at the city. The charge meter flickered at 75%, causing him to grit his teeth. "Not enough..." he thought, as blue Hextech energy crackled and lashed out, clashing violently with his own arcane energies within the weapon.
Across Zaun and Piltover, citizens looked up in awe and terror at the spectacle unfolding above them. A brilliant blue streak cut across the night sky, accompanied by what appeared to be a new, ominously glowing star.
Naruto's mind raced back to the pivotal moment at the Old Cannery, where everything had both ended and begun.
Static electricity crackled around Naruto's fox form as he burst from the rubble, stumbling towards Powder before collapsing. Through blurred vision, he watched Vi's retreating back as she stormed away from her younger sister.
Powder's anguished cry pierced the air. "Naruto!" She scrambled towards him, tears streaming down her face.
Vi hesitated for a moment, glancing back with tear-filled eyes, before continuing her departure.
The boy in his fox form saw Vander's body along with bloody goggles of Claggor on the ground. 'No!' he thought as he looked past the bloody goggles and saw Mylo's arm reaching out of the rubble.
Unable to produce any words the fox howled and wailed at the corpses of his family.
As Powder sobbed into Naruto's fur, he caught glimpses of the aftermath: Sevika, barely conscious in a goon's arms; survivors emerging from the wreckage; and a man with heterochromatic eyes clutching a knife.
Thunder roared and lightning illuminated the scene as rain began to fall. Silco appeared, looming over them.
"Hello, little girl," Silco said softly, crouching down and setting his knife aside. "Where's your sister?"
Powder, still weeping, looked up at him before throwing herself into his arms. Silco stumbled backward, caught off guard by her embrace.
"She left me," Powder choked out between sobs.
Naruto's gaze shifted between Vander's lifeless body and Powder in the stranger's arms. His heart clenched as he heard her whisper, "She is not my sister anymore."
Silco's eyes met Naruto's, recognition flickering in them as he remembered the boy who had fought alongside the elder sister. Gently, he placed a comforting hand on Powder's back, drawing both her and Naruto closer.
"It's okay," Silco murmured, his voice filled with a mix of compassion and determination. "We'll show them. We will show them all."
The memory faded as Naruto, tears of Shimmer glistening on his cheeks, saw the gauge finally hit 100%. His gaze locked onto Jinx's missile as it crossed Piltover's borders. In that moment, his resolve hardened. He took aim at his own targets, left arm tensing as the Damned Fox reached full power.
"RARGHH!" the blonde roared out a war cry.
With a thunderous crack that echoed across the chasm between Zaun and Piltover, the Damned Fox fired, unleashing a devastating beam of energy that streaked towards the city.
To the Piltovians and Zaunites sky ignited with an otherworldly blue glow, marking the moment when Zaun's vengeful wrath was finally unleashed upon Piltover.

Also please note these are Shimmer effected Jinx and Naruto so a lot more unstable.
Had to think of way for Silco to die with Naruto being magnetic unless he let it happen and I couldn't picture the blonde doing that.
Did we like Naruto choosing to save his "sister" Vi by moving the barrel slightly to the side as he got back.
Just clarifying Hextech clashes with arcane energies which is why the Black Rose fears it. (My headcannon) hence why Naruto's Damned Fox was hard to control also he used two gems instead of one.
Leaving on a cliff hanger like the season did, NOT gonna be a 3 year wait for Mass destruction.
Yup the Damned Fox = Damned Punk from One Piece
Naruto will have a smaller version not mass destruction and usable in battle.
Yes Piltover is going to be hit a lot harder than in the show from this.
Marcus wasn't supposed to die but changed my mind middle of writing.
Next chapter will be from civilians and councils view before the attack, before we head back to Naruto and Jinx Also will be getting a look at Jinx's Shimmer effects.

Jinx and Naruto have five Hextech Gemstones in their possession.
Last thing whenever Naruto sees not-Jinx in his head it's kinda like mental manifestation of the shimmer in his system playing on his feelings for Jinx to fuel his worst traits.
