When Jaune falls to the Ever After, he does so alongside Winter Schnee. Thrust into the responsibility of protecting two young children, the two must learn to rely on and trust one another to survive. Despite the pain they've endured, perhaps Jaune and Winter can manage to guide and protect the both of them, even in a time, and world, apart from their own.

The age old advice of not messing with canon to ensure the usefulness of ones knowledge is decidedly more difficult when it forces you to be cruel. Dumped in a new world, I had hoped to avoid canon events. That plan was shot to hell when I found a black haired child in a ruin.
