In this chapter appears Nanami Kento. He appears on episode 8 of the anime, but other than his appearance there will be no spoilers for the show.

It was Friday night and (Y/N) was beginning her shift while preparing things for the evening that would normally be busy since it was the weekend. She was stowing away a grid of beer in the fridge under the counter when she heard someone pulling back one of the barstools. She didn't need to look who it was because he wasn't even hiding his cursed energy as if he wouldn't care for someone to recognize him. Before greeting him, she prepared herself for the act.

"Hi sweety, sorry for making you wait." She stopped for a moment. "A-Aren't you that guy from earlier today? Are you following me?" It had only been that day when Satoru had waved to her while she was jogging.

Satoru gave her a big smile before answering. "Funny, I was about to ask you the same thing."

"Why would you think I'm following you?"

"I have seen you jogging around my house and where I work."

(Y/N) looked at him incredulously. "You have seen me?"

"Yes, of course, every day since I'm back."

"So you can see with that blindfold?"

"Of course I can." He stared intently at her waiting for an answer. She kept looking back trying to see something through his blindfold. He got impatient and asked again.

"So why are you following me?"

"I jog a long distance, always the same route around the same time." She said irritated, but then 'remembered' he was a customer and added more softly. "You must live near my route, that's why you see me every day."

"So just a coincidence you say?"

"Yes. So you can stop following me, that's creepy, you know."

His laughter boomed. "Yeah, you're right. Sorry about that."

"So do you wanna order something?"

"Uhm I don't know. What you suggest."

It was still early and only a handful of customers were in the bar. Since Sarah was there too, she took her time with Satoru. "Since it's still early I would suggest something without alcohol or at least something light like a beer or a glass of wine."

"A beer sounds good."

"Ok, I will need to see an ID." She said casually.

Satoru smiled once again. "Oh, come one I'm way over 20."

"I'm sorry, but looks can deceive." She gave him a charming smile.

He took out his wallet and handed his ID to her. She looked at his birth date and did the math. '28, four years older than me.' She handed it back to him while saying. "Thank you Gojo-san."

She went to get the beer for him and when she was back Satoru was pouting. "That's unfair, now you know my name but I don't know yours."

Again with a smile on her lips, she said. "You can call me Yuna."

"Oh, your first name? Didn't know we were that intimate already."

She laughed. "Don't get the wrong idea. I'm not from around here and from where I'm from it's common to call people by their first name and I'm not especially fond of my last name anyway."

"Your Japanese is not bad for a foreign. Where are you from then?"

"I have been traveling for so long that I consider my home to be the world." She said vaguely. "I'm sorry, I have other customers to attend, but call me if you want something else."

Sarah was taking care of the customers on the tables, but the ones at the counter were for her to serve and there had just arrived someone. Satoru looked her up and down while she was occupied with the other man. She was wearing a crop top with off shoulders sleeves and some skintight black leather-like pants. The skin on her belly was partially exposed, especially if she would raise her arms, making it possible to see the strange markings on her skin. Her curves were easy on the eye and Satoru pondered for a while to see through her clothes only to look at her markings, of course, but ended up thinking that maybe it was a bit inappropriate.

The bar was getting busier and he continued to observe her. She would flirt with most men, compliment every women and girl, and would be funny to boys. It looked like she had been doing this job for a while. Doubts began to fill his mind about if she would really be a curse user or not, but until he was sure what those marks were he wouldn't give up. He still felt like he knew her and she being so vaguely about herself was suspicious. With the bar getting busier it was more difficult for him to talk with Yuna, so he decided to go home.

The next day (Y/N) was once again jogging her usual route. This time she didn't see the white-haired man but felt like she was being watched. And indeed she was. Satoru didn't bother to go after her this time but kept looking if she would pass by his home again, and there she was. He decided to confront her again at the bar later but this time he hoped for a second opinion.

Satoru searched for a name in his phone before making a call. "Hi Nanami, how's it going? Are you busy tonight?"

On the other side of the phone was a much less enthusiastic Kento on the line. "It depends, is it work-related? You know I don't like to do overtime."

"Of course it's not. I was only wondering if you would like to grab a drink with me. There is a nice bar I know."

A bit suspicious Kento ended up agreeing. With Gojo, he never knew if the man was being serious or not.

Kento was some minutes earlier at the bar that Gojo had mentioned. He knew that his friend would probably run late but he couldn't do that. He hated to be late for anything. So he entered the bar and sat by the counter. It already had some customers but nothing too crowded. Soon enough the bartender came up to him. She seemed maybe a couple of years younger than him and was rather good-looking. With a soft smile on her lips, she turned her attention to him.

"Hi handsome, what can I get you?"

"I would like a coffee please."

"With milk?"

"No, black, without sugar."

"One black coffee then, just the way I like it too."

As Kento finished his coffee, Satoru arrived sitting next to him.

"You're late." Said the stern shaman to his friend.

Satoru kept his joyful self. "Is this the way to greet your friend who invited you out?"

(Y/N) came up to them. "Hi Gojo-san, back again?"

"Of course, with such a lovely bartender how couldn't I be back."

"Thank you. And you brought a friend this time?"

"Yes, this is Nanami, Nanami this is Yuna."

"Nice to meet you Nanami-san."

"Likewise Yuna-san."

"What can I get you today Gojo-san?"

"Hum... I don't know yet, give me a moment to think."

"And what about you Nanami-san? You want something else?"

"I will order late again, thank you."

Kento was curious about the real reason Gojo had invited him. Soon enough the white-haired man spoke up.

"So, what do you think of her?"

"Yuna? She seems nice enough. Good looking, a bit flirty but maybe that's because of her job. Why do you ask? Are you interested in her?" Now he was really eager to hear his answer but kept a neutral face.

"Oh, I'm interested in her, especially her markings. Have you seen them on her arms?"

(Y/N) was wearing a t-shirt today, her forearms were exposed and therefore the marks on them too.

Now Kento was confused. "What about them? Looks like some kind of tattoo to me."

"Then look closer this time."

Satoru called for Yuna and ordered two beers. As she was out of earshot Gojo continued to Nanami.

"Have you taken a better look?"

He had and now was completely intrigued. "They look like burning marks."

"Exactly, and they are all over her body."

In a stern voice, Kento asked. "I hope you haven't looked through her clothes to find this out. That's perverted, you know?"

"Who do you think I am? I would never do that." He deliberately left out how exactly he knew about her marks and Nanami really didn't want to know how he had found out.

"I still can't understand why you're so interested in her."

Gojo told his friend what had happened and how suspicious he was.

"That can't be all just coincidence."

"Just because she happens to jog next to your apartment and the school you think she's a shaman? Maybe you have seen her before and that's why she looks familiar to you. I think you just fancy her and don't want to admit it." Although his voice was serious, he was in fact teasing his friend.

"Oh, I have no problem admitting she's attractive, but that's not the point."

They had some more beers, talked some more, not only about Yuna until Kento decided it was getting late. Satoru stayed a bit longer and now that the bar was almost empty, Yuna came up to him to talk again.

"Your friend ditched you?"

"Yes, can you imagine? My close friend left me here all alone?"

She giggled at his nonsense and he liked that sound. His ear became hot but he discarded it to the alcohol he had.

"He looked a bit stern, maybe he wasn't feeling well?"

"Oh no, he always looks like that."

"So the complete opposite of you then?"

"Exactly." He finished the rest of his beer.

"Do you want another one? We are about to close..."

"Oh no, I'm fine. I think I had too many already." After a pause, he added. "Are you walking home alone at this hour?"

"Yes, I'm not far from home and I can take care of myself, so don't worry."

"If you are about to close I could wait and walk you home."

A bit crept out, she said. "You really don't have to do that."

Satoru noted the change in her face and tried to calm her down. "You don't have to be afraid of me, I would never hurt someone defenseless."

"Well if you insist, I think it's okay, but if you try something then you probably will end up with a broken nose. I have taken self-defense classes."

Now it was his turn to chuckle, mostly about her stern face. "Duly noted. I'll wait outside then."

(Y/N) was getting nervous as she and Sarah were cleaning up the bar. It looks like Satoru was in fact interested in her. She hoped he would fall for her and as she had him wrapped around her finger she would ask him what he remembered about her parent's death. She would try not to reveal her true identity if possible. Until now it had worked, but when she would be alone with him, he could try something like the day before when he simulated an attack on her. She just needed to calm her nerves.

Once outside the bar, Satotu made his way to her. Sarah saw him approach and asked her coworker in a low voice. "He was at the bar today, wasn't he? Is he here because of you?" She nodded. "Are you going to be okay?"

Sarah would go home by car that was right next to the bar but seeing that man come up to (Y/N) she was worried for the young woman.

"I'll be okay, don't worry. See you tomorrow." She waved her friend goodbye.

Satoru was now next to her. "If you prefer to go alone, I understand it."

Shily she said. "No, it's okay I think." Now with more confidence, she added. "You don't look like a creep."

They started walking. Amused Satoru asked. "Is that so? Then what do I look like?" He didn't turn his head to her, but he could see how a light blush found its way to her cheeks.

She had to bite her tongue because she had almost said he was handsome, but instead she teased him. "With that blindfold and your hair up like that you look too goofy to be scary."

He laughed heartedly. He wasn't offended, especially because of her reaction before answering. "What did you say the last time to me? Looks can deceive."

"Are you implying you're dangerous and I should be scared then?

"I'm only dangerous for my enemies."

He was clearly suspicious of her, giving hints like that. A shiver ran down her spine thinking what would happen if he decided to attack her. Watchful as he was, he saw that. "Are you cold?"

Although the days were getting warmer, the nights were still very chilly. "Just a little." She wasn't lying.

She felt an arm around her shoulders as Gojo pulled her near to him. She looked up at him surprised. "If you're uncomfortable just say and I will let you go."

Blushing harder this time she said in a low voice. "No, it's okay." His arm and body did warm her up.

A mischievous smile formed on his lips. His ego just loves when women react to him that way especially if they are as beautiful as Yuna is.

"So you said you have been traveling? To which countries have you been?"

She told him about some of her adventures and the different countries she had visited until they were near her house. She had decided to continue to act scared of him. Removing herself from his arm she said. "I live just around the corner so you don't have to walk me any further."

"Oh, okay."

"Thank you for your company, it was nice. And for the next time, it's my turn to ask you questions."

"Nex time, hum. Already planning a second date?"

"Oh, you wish. I expect more for a date than just walking me home, you know."

"I will have to keep that in mind then."

They looked at each other smiling for a while.

(Y/N) was the first to react. "Well, see ya. Bye."

Satoro tilts his head and waved her goodbye. "Bye."

I have this scene in mind that I'm eager to write. I thought maybe I could get there in this chapter, but it would just turn out too long. Hope I can write it in the next chapter. Don't know when it will be ready. This weekend I had a lot of free time, that's why I could publish two chapters but now begins work anew...
