A ringing sound woke up (Y/N) and Satoru. The man had his arm still under the woman's body and it was numb. Still groggy from sleep he looked at the woman next to him before giving her a smile.
As the ringing continued, they eventually found out it was the doorbell. Someone was continuously ringing it.
"Who the fu..."
Satoru used his ability and saw Utahime at the building's entrance.
"Shit I forgot."
(Y/N) looked surprised at Gojo. He jumped out of bed and put on his boxers. It was a funny sign because he had some difficulties moving an arm. Then, as if he had forgotten something, he went back to the bed and gave her a peck on her lips.
"Almost forgot, good morning."
Too sleepy to react, (Y/N) just continued to watch him as he left the room, probably to open up the building's door, and then he came back to finish dressing. Only then was her brain more or less functioning.
"Is someone coming up here?"
"Yeah, and she will probably be furious because I forgot about the meeting."
(Y/N) arched an eyebrow in questioning, so Satoru continued.
"I don't know if it will be safe for you to leave my room now." He stopped temporarily before continuing with a smile that could only mean trouble. "On better thought, it would be fun if she saw you, maybe you could show up naked in the living room. I'm sure Utahime would go crazy."
"I, what? Are you crazy? I surely won't do that."
With a burst, the front door was opened and a woman's voice was heard.
"Gojo, I hope you have a good explanation why you are still at home when we had a meeting almost an hour ago at the school!"
As Utahime was screaming, the shaman quietly talked to (Y/N).
"Uuuhhh, scary woman. Wish me luck and think about what I said."
With a wink, he left his room while closing the door behind him.
Curious, (Y/N) got out of bed. She took the bedcover to wrap it around her body and listened to the conversation.
"Good morning Utahime, you look especially nice today. To what do I owe the pleasure?"
"What do you mean to what you owe the pleasure? We had a meeting today to discuss our students and compare their abilities for the Goodwill event. Don't say you forgot about it?"
In the bedroom, behind the door, (Y/N) just thought.
'Damm, that woman sure sounds pissed. I surely don't want to show up in front of her, but I urgently need to pee.'
(Y/N) just couldn't stay there. She began to dress as quickly as she could and tried to fix her hair before taking a big breath to calm herself. With a neutral face, as if waking up at Satoru's place while another woman showed up and began to scream at the man was a normal thing, she left the room in the direction of the bathroom.
Utahime shut up and stared at the woman that was raising her hands in an apologetic way.
"I'm sorry, I didn't want to interrupt you, I just need to go really quick to the bathroom before leaving."
Satoru was rejoicing while seeing his senior's face turn red in furry.
"I can't believe that you didn't show up at the meeting because you were literally screwing with a woman. Do you know how early I needed to get up today to make it on time here?"
"I'm sorry about that, I must have made confusion with the hours. I thought that was the time you would leave Kyoto. You must have gotten up really early then? No wonder you're in a bad mood."
Satoru kept his voice calm, but his mocking undertone was clear to Iori. The usual calm woman emanated a killing intent towards Satoru. But since they weren't alone she needed to control herself.
"At least tell me that you have done the reports of your student's abilities."
Meanwhile, in the bathroom, (Y/N) could hear the whole conversation. Probably the tiles on the walls enabled their voices to echo clearer.
'They are talking about the school, so Utahime must be a sorceress too. Hum, the way she gets infuriated with Satoru and how he keeps teasing her makes me wonder if at some point there was something between them..."
The bartender pushed those thoughts aside and hurried to get finally out of there. Once in the living room again, she said:
"Sorry again for interrupting, I'm going now."
Satoru left a calmer-looking Utahime behind as he accompanied (Y/N) to the dor.
"This was definitely not how I planned to wake up today."
"No? You made plans with me for today although you had a work meetings. One could think you did this on purpose to get on that woman's nerve."
"I do like to annoy Utahime, but I could think of more enjoyable things to do with you."
While he said that with a charming smile, he got closer to (Y/N). His lips were almost touching hers before she pulled him away with a hand on his chest.
"You have work to do now, so forget those thoughts. You should put your students and your duty first." she said assertively.
With that, she left. This was a perfect opportunity for her to go searching for some curses so she could absorb their energy. Satoru would be busy and since they had planned to spend that day together, there should be no one following her. But still, she had to be careful. This could be a setup from the white-haired sorcerer. First, she needed to get home and take a shower.
'Where should I go looking for curses? I can't go far away, what if Satoru decides to meet up with me later?'
A place popped up in her mind. It wasn't the best place to find strong curses, but it would provide a good alibi. A big mall had many people. Their despair when they couldn't find the things they were looking for or when they had spent too much money would eventually transform into cursed spirits.
'I hope I can get enough curse energy.'
(Y/N) was expecting to find only low-level curses but she preferred not to take any risks since things with Satoru were going so smoothly.
After making herself ready she left her apartment in the direction of the train station. On her way, she had a strange feeling, like cursed energy was leaking from somewhere.
She didn't let herself be distracted by it right now, she had made a plan and would follow it. Almost every time she would spontaneously change her original plan, something would go wrong...
*** Sometime later ***
Excited, (Y/N) entered the DiverCity Tokyo Plaza. It had been a while since her last shopping trip. Her backpack couldn't hold much more stuff than what she had already brought to Japan, but right now she had space in her apartment and once she would leave again, she could give away her older clothes.
As she was trying on the first clothes she had picked, her phone rang.
"Hello, Satoru, already done with your meeting?"
"No, I'm actually calling you to apologize for canceling our plans. But I want to make up to you later."
Without realizing (Y/N)'s lips curved up into a smile, giving her voice a slightly different timbre which Satoru noticed right away.
"Oh, really. And what's your plan then?"
"First, I was thinking of going out to eat in a nice restaurant, maybe drinking a fine bottle of wine..."
"That sounds like a good start. And then?"
"Then I thought you would deserve a massage."
"A massage? Like in a spa?"
"Uhm, well, I was more thinking that I would give you a massage."
"Haha, you're a miser. But I think if you put your hands to good work, I should be pleased."
That caught Satoru's attention.
"Are you still talking about a massage Yuna?"
"Yes, of course, I am. And with all the shopping I'm planning for today, I surely will need a good massage to get rid of all the tension on my muscles."
"You're shopping? Then you could buy something for me?"
Somewhat surprised by the change of conversation, (Y/N) asked:
"Ahm, sure. What do you want?"
"I'll give you a hint. I like to take off some nice silk pieces or some lace."
Now (Y/N) understood what the man was talking about.
"I thought you were the one who wanted to apologize, and now you ask me to buy some lingerie for you to take it off me?"
That was a bit too loud. A saleswoman came up by the cabin to complain about her taking so long.
"I'm sorry miss, but there are other clients who want to use the fitting room."
"Sorry, I'm almost done." Talking again into her phone, (Y/N) continued, "See what you did? You got me in trouble. Just text me the time you come to pick me up."
She then hurried to put her own clothes back on and hasted out of the store in embarrassment.
'Shoot, I liked some of those clothes.'
Sometime later, the barwoman got out of the train with some bags in her hand. As she walked back home, she felt again a trail of cursed energy, but now it was much stronger.
'Could there be a strong curse nearby?'
There hadn't been as many curses as she had wished for, the cursed energy she had gathered would only last for about a week, and that being optimistic. Quick thinking, she decided to follow the cursed energy. She was confident that no one was following her, and there was still time before Gojo would pick her up.
Getting closer to the source of the cursed energy, she noticed that there was a cemetery. The amount of cursed energy she felt couldn't be just from one curse, could it?
'Is this a first-grade curse? Or maybe even a special grade? But how could it be that no sorcerer has noticed it already? I mean, Jujutsu High isn't that far away...'
As she walked through the cemetery she found a destroyed shrine. That shrine would usually harbor a talisman to protect the surrounding from cursed spirits.
'Ok, now I see what happened. The talisman has probably lost its strength and the cursed object was probably consumed by a curse turning this one, (let's see, hum. I would say) into a special grade one.'
Continuing with her search, she soon found the source. The curse had a humanoid form, it was pitch black, standing tall on legs that looked like a horse's hind legs. Its torso was slender and had bright shoulders. The asymmetric eyes shone sickening with a white milky color as did the pointy teeth. To adorn its head there was a pair of curved horns. This figure was truly a sight of a nightmare.
Excited but also nervous (Y/N) hesitated for a bit. 'Should I pull up a barrier? Better not, that could raise only more attention from other sorcerers. And I don't see anyone here, so I should be okay. But best is if I hurry. But can I even win against a special grade curse? Well, I will see soon.'
Without losing more time, the sorceress molded her cursed energy into a pair of sai and ran into the curse. It blocked one of her sai with its arm.
Because of such situations, (Y/N) sometimes regretted that she hadn't chosen a weapon with a cutting blade. But when fighting a curse, it didn't matter how many times its flesh was cut. A curse wouldn't bleed after all. Important was the amount of cursed energy that would be put into the curse. Since (Y/N)'s weapons were made out of her own cursed energy, a single sting would be more efficient than any normal cutting weapon. And then she had two of them...
While one of her weapons was blocked, she stung the other into the black chest. The curse let out a pained roar while releasing a powerful wave of cursed energy which pushed (Y/N) some meters back.
(Y/N) crossed her arms in front of her face to shield herself from the impact. As soon as she stood firm on the ground, she guided her cursed energy to her leg muscles to enhance her speed, but also to enable her to jump over the curse with a flip. As she was head down over the black figure, she clasped her hands firmly around its horns. With the force of her momentum, the cursed spirit was launched forward. It crashed into a mausoleum, destroying the small building.
The sorceress didn't rest. She wanted this to finish as soon as possible. So she ran as fast as she could, reaching the black figure before it could move again. With her hands on its chest, she started to drain its cursed energy.
The feeling she got was indescribable. The amount of energy she felt was exponentially higher than the second-grade curse she had absorbed. Her marks began to glow in a dark red color as her eyes rolled back into her head with the extase she was in right now.
The special grade curse began to struggle against her hands, but (Y/N) just held it in place with more force, and soon the cursed energy was all absorbed, leaving only behind the cursed object that lent its energy to the curse. It was a single finger.
(Y/N) didn't see the cursed object. She had her eyes closed, feeling the monstrous amount of cursed energy flowing through her. Her whole body was shivering with the power she felt. It was like she could defeat everything and everyone right now.
Before she came down from the kick the cursed energy had brought to her, she was faced with reality. Something held her by her shoulders and pushed her into the remaining wall of the mausoleum. Only when she was faced with the sky in the eyes of the white-haired sorcerer did she sobered up instantaneously.
One of his big hands soon changed place and held her by her throat threateningly. The edges of his lips turned up into a smile, his eyes were wide open as if they had seen her for the very first time. A threatening aura could be clearly felt by the man. (Y/N) thought that he had never looked this handsome but also dangerously before.
After what seemed an eternity of them staring into each other's eyes, Satoru eventually spoke through his clenched teeth.
"Time to tell me who you really are."
