Part 4
Caitlin was sitting in a coffee shop drinking a Chi tea latte when someone sat across from her.
"What do you want Chris?" asked Caitlin not looking up from the book she was reading.
"Why were you with my daughter last night?"
"Alison's date left my cousin's party not feeling well. I gave her a ride nothing more."
"Why are you in Beacon Hills? Don't you have school?"
"My friend was killed. I came to find answers. Before you say anything. I don't think you personally have anything to do with it. In fact I believe it was a werewolf. Laura Hale was an alpha and there is a new alpha in town. No I don't know who it is. Only thing I will tell you it was not Derek Hale. He is here for the same reason I am. To find out who killed Laura."
"Fine. Just stay away from my daughter. She knows nothing about your kind Caitlin."
"That can't be going over well with Gerard and Kate."
"Stay out of my family affairs."
"Trust me I want nothing to do with them. But if they break your code and come after me I will defend myself."
"That is your right. You only once came close to killing someone."
"You stopped me. But that sorry excuse for a human was far from innocent. He prayed on girls like your daughter at the time."
"You didn't need a reason to have my father to come after you if you killed him. He wouldn't have cared that man had killed and raped girls."
"Gerard hates all of my kind. He doesn't care if I am innocent."
"There is no proof that he has gone after anyone that hasn't killed. We both know that Derek Hale is far from innocent."
"Laura was."
"That is true. I am not the reason she is dead."
"I do believe that. But if I find out anyone in your family is responsible for the deaths of the children of the Hale family that were in that house. I will make sure they face justice."
Caitlin's phone rang. She looked at the caller ID and answered.
"Hello? Yeah I will be there in a few minutes. I know right where that is." Caitlin put her phone in her jacket pocket and grabbed her things.
"Going somewhere?"
"That is none of your business."
Caitlin left and got in her rental car and headed to Beacon Hills High School. She parked in the lot and headed to the lacrosse field. She saw Scott and another teenage boy waiting.
"This is my friend Stiles." Said Scott
"Caitlin. I'm Lydia's cousin. Well one of them. I have a twin sister. Before you ask no she is not a werewolf. I am the only one in my family."
"So you go all crazy wolf during the full moon?" asked Stiles
"Not for a while. But annoy me enough and I just might go all wolf and it won't have to be a full moon." Said Caitlin
Stiles just nodded and kept his mouth shut.
"Um you should know that Stiles has s suffered ADHD and has from anxiety." Said Scott
"What do you take for it?" asked Caitlin
"Adderall." Said Stiles
"From what I know that is a good drug to treat ADHD. Though you should keep an eye on your blood pressure. Because it can raise it. Look Stiles you are going to have to help keep Scott in check. I actually got something for Scott."
Caitlin pulled what looked like a watch out of her bag and handed it to Scott.
"That is a heart monitor. You need to keep your heart rate down to control the change. Meaning it would be best not to get into a relationship until you can do that. Besides I doubt that Alison's dad would want you anywhere near her. He is a hunter. Though I trust him to ask questions first then kill. But other members of the Argent family aren't to be trusted."
"Anyone in particular we should watch out for?" asked Stiles
Alison's Aunt Kate. There is something off about that woman. Also her grandfather Gerard. I know for a fact that he doesn't follow the so called code hunters are suppose to follow." Said Caitlin
"Hunters have a code?" asked Scott
"Yes. It's Nous chassons ceux qui nous chassent. Which is French for. We hunt those who hunt us." said Caitlin
"You know French?" asked Stiles
"Only a little. I know more Greek and Latin which are used in the medical field. Now let's get to work."
Caitlin pulled out a table and handed it to Stiles.
"You are going to monitor Scott's heart rate. We want it to stay in the green. If it goes red that means he is losing control. I get you two are on the lacrosse team, and it can get a bit intense. But the last thing you want is for Scott to wolf out during a game."
Caitlin worked with the boys for a little over an hour. Caitlin fired multiple lacrosse balls at Scott hitting him with surprising accuracy.
"If our coach saw you he would want you on the team." Said Stiles
"First off I am in my last year of medical school. Second I nearly flunked gym. I couldn't go all out like I did today. It would have raised more then a few eyebrows if I returned to school after the summer I was thirteen suddenly good at sports."
"You don't look older then twenty." Said Scott
"I'm twenty two. I skipped two grades and took summer classes during my undergrad years."
Just then Caitlin's phone rang. She smiled seeing the name on the caller ID.
"Take a break. I need to take this."
Caitlin walked off a bit and sat on the bleachers.
"Hey honey."
"Hey Cait. I miss you."
"I miss you too. I will be back late tomorrow."
"You find out what happened to your friend?"
"Some of it. I can't get into it on the phone. I will tell you what I can when I get home."
"Just be careful. I don't want anything to happen to you."
"Barry, I love you. But you don't need to worry about me. I can take care of myself."
"I know Cait. I know you are not use to it. But when someone cares about you they worry about them."
"I know. I got to go. But I will see you in a couple days."
Caitlin hung up and noticed the two teenage boys watching her.
"What? I have a boyfriend. Is that surprising?" growled Caitlin
"No. Not at all I mean you are just as beautiful as Lydia." Said Stiles
Caitlin rolled her eyes and realized that this boy had a massive crush on her cousin who most likely didn't know he was alive.
"No. Of course not. I mean you are a little old for us." Said Scott
"Look pup. Don't call me old. I could rip you to shreds if I wanted to. But I understand what you mean. Scott, the next few months are going to be rough. But you can learn to control this. Now my twin sister on the hand with her anger issues wouldn't be able to."
"Pup?"
"Compared to me you are a pup. One thing you need to know is that that this Alpha that bit you. They can control you to a degree. They will call you to them and possibly try to force you to kill for them. My Alpha didn't. Talia Hale liked doing the hide in plain sight thing. Only reveal what you are if forced to."
"I won't kill anyone." said Scott
"Scott, there may come a day you have no choice. If another wolf attacks you. It may come to kill or be killed. I admit a few years ago I felt the urge to kill someone. I didn't because I was stopped by someone. Not that the sorry excuse of a human was innocent. He was a pedophile and murderer."
"A hunter let you go why?" asked Stiles
"Because he follows the code. All I had done was given the scumbag a concussion. So if he had seen anything he shouldn't have no one would have believed him. Stiles, you keep that tablet to use to help Scott learn control. I am also going to leave a set of chains to use on him during the next full moon."
"You really think that is necessary?" asked Scott
"Yes. It is. Until you have complete control the moon will have control over you. Though during a lunar eclipse you lose your powers."
"Really?" asked Stiles
"Our powers come from the moon. So if the moon is blocked no powers."
"Uh ok." Said Scott
"Scott, work with your friend here and try and keep your emotions and hormones in check. I have to get back to Central City to finish my last year of medical school. But call me if you have any questions. Also I will let someone you can trust know about you. Also remember if Alison brings her Aunt Kate around stay away from her. Kate Argent maybe more dangerous than this Alpha that bit you."
The boys nodded and Caitlin headed to her renal car to have a talk with Talia Hale's former emissary.
