Part 5

Barry Allen let out a sigh as he sat down at a table in the bar his friends were hanging out in.

"So Caitlin still out of town?" asked Iris West his childhood best friend.

"Yeah. She won't be back until late tomorrow." Said Barry

"Where did she go?" asked Eddie Thawne. Iris's boyfriend

"She is in some small town in California. Her aunt and cousin live there. She and her sister use to spend summers there as kids. She had a close friend there who was recently found murdered. So she went to pay her respects and look for some answers." Said Barry

"Unless this town is in the stone age we might be able to look into things from here." Said Eddie

"Barry, what do you think? You want Eddie or my dad to see if they can dig anything up?" asked Iris

"I guess it wouldn't hurt. But if it is an ongoing investigation I doubt we will find much out. All I know is that Cait's friend's name is Laura Hale and she was twenty four. Laura has a brother named Derek and like six years ago their whole family died except for an Uncle who barely survived a fire that destroyed their house. Laura and Derek were at the local high school at the time of the fire." Said Barry

"Where was that?" asked Cisco Ramon

"Beacon Hills, that family didn't deserve to die like that. I may not have been as close as Caity to them. But most of them were pretty nice. Derek is kind of a jerk. His Uncle Peter is an asshole." Said Crystal Snow, Caitlin's twin sister sitting down downing a shot of vodka.

Just then a notification went off on Barry and Cisco's phones. They made some lame excuse and headed out. Crystal left right after checking her own phone. Eddie got a call from work and headed out as well. Barry arrived at the Central City museum dressed in his Flash suit to find a man shrinking paintings and placing them in a bag.

"I don't think that belongs to you." Said Barry

The man turned around and smirked at him.

"You think you can stop me? I can shrink you to the size of an ant and squish you in seconds."

"I don't think you realize who I am. I'm the…."

"Flash. Yeah I know. I don't care. I am still going to smash you like a bug."

The man sent a wave of energy at Barry. As Barry moved out of the way an ice wall went up between him and the meta. Barry turned to see Central City's wanna be hero Frost smirking at him.

"Frost, I am handing this." Said Barry

"Looks to me like Dwarf Star was about to turn you into a flea. Some how I don't think your girlfriend would be happy about that. Now let me help you lock this loser up and we both can go home." Said Frost

"She has a point let her help." Said Cisco in Barry's ear.

"Ok fine. How do you want to handle this?" asked Barry

"I distract him. You slap the meta cuffs on him." Said Frost

Barry nodded and too off when Frost took down her ice wall.

"Well should I feel honored that the ice queen has shown herself?" asked Dwarf Star.

"Don't care one way or another. I just want to help get you to the nice cell waiting for you at Iron Heights." Said Frost

Frost began to shoot ice blasts at the meta while Barry took off. It wasn't long before the meta was cuffed and taken to Iron Heights.

"We should go somewhere to talk." Said Barry

"Well seeing as we both know each other's real identities you go pick up Cisco and some Big Belly Burger and meet me back at my sister's and my apartment. I will have some beer chilled." Said Frost

"Sure. Have you heard from your sister? I get the feeling she wasn't telling everything when I called."

"Most likely wasn't. But it may not be something she could talk about on the phone or where she was. See you soon cutie."

Barry watched as Frost took off on one of her ice bridges. He then ran off to get Cisco and the food. Half an hour afterthought take down Barry knocked on the door to the apartment shared by the Snow twins. Crystal smirked when she opened the door.

"Thought you would be here sooner." Said Crystal

"Yeah well I wanted to give you time to change." Said Barry

"Well it's not like you haven't seen a body like mine before." Said Crystal

"THAT IS ENOUGH OF THAT TALK. I don't want to think about the fact that Barry may or may not be sleeping with someone I think of as a sister." Said Cisco

Crystal rolled her eyes and let the boys in.

"Crystal does Cait know that you are going out to fight crime?" asked Barry taking the beer offered to him.

" Yes. She doesn't like it. But she doesn't try to stop me." Said Crystal eating a fry.

"How did you figure out that Barry is the Flash?" asked Cisco

"Caity is not the only smart one in the family. Hell you haven't met our cousin Lydia. She may act dumb but she is a genius. Probably will win some big award in math or something some day. You two figured me out too."

"Well, I already knew you were a meta. The thing is why are you and Caitlin isn't." Said Barry

"Daddy, only used me as a lab rat before he disappeared. Caity doesn't have the genetic marker for ALS like I did."

"Your dad turned you into a meta?" asked Cisco

"Yep. Mom and I don't have the best relationship but turns out she is the better parent."

"Um does Cait know about me?" asked Barry

"Yes but I can't tell you how. That is for her to tell."

"Will she?" asked Barry

"I know she wants to. But is scared to. Barry, if the wrong people were to find out her secret her life would be in danger." Said Crystal seriously.

Both Barry and Cisco looked at the Crystal. They knew that this was no joke. Crystal maybe the less serious of the twins. But when she spoke like that it was not something to take lightly. The boys nodded finished their food and beers and headed out. Once they were gone Crystal sent a text to her sister.

Had to tell Barry, you know his secret.

Didn't say how. Only it was for you to tell him.

Damn Crystal!

Fine I'm planning to tell him when I get back anyway. Replied Caitlin

Crystal put her phone away and headed to bed.
