AN: Hey guys just wanted to let you know that the story about the sun and the moon aren't mine, just one of my favorites small stories I've heard of and thought it was fitting.

"Switch with me."

"Um what now?" Raising a puzzled brow Kirishima looked up long enough from his desk to see Bakugo leaning on his hands in front of him with his eyes focused on Kirishimas confused ones.

"Switch with me." He repeated watching as Kirishima blinked back utterly lost. "Damn it Shitty hair!" Frustratingly groaning Bakugo ran a hand through his hair before pacing the room. "You know damn well what I'm talking about. How the hell could you not tell me-ME your damn partner that you were being assigned to Raccoon eyes?!"

"Ok first of all…relax." Kirishima calmly placed his pen down. "And secondly, I just found out myself. How was I supposed to know?" he asked watching the way Bakugo dropped down in the chair in front of him. "Why? Who'd you get?"

"Don't matter. Because I'm fixing this."

"Dude, I don't think you can do that."

"And why the hell not?"

"Well for one it'll be rude." Kirishima started counting on his fingers, much to Bakugo's annoyance. "Anyways what's the big deal? So, you're working with a temporary partner until our buddy comes back. Why, is wittle Bakugo getting upset because he'll miss me?"

"Your face is asking to get fixed dumbass." He deeply scowled back. "And you're only saying that because you're trying to get into Pinky's pants."

"Hey now! I will do no such thing. I can be professional alright." Kirishima disapprovingly frowned, despite that thought having crossed his mind more times than he wanted to admit.

"Which is why you need to switch with me!"

"Bakugo calm down." Kirishima chuckled leaning back in his chair. Even for someone like Bakugo who hated working with most people, this seemed to bother him more than usual, which only piqued his interest. "Who did you get?"

Hearing the enjoyment in Kirishima's tone as he talked to Bakugo like he was a child had his scowl only deepen further as he looked away.

"Bakugo?"

"Round-face alright!" He was sure to hear his friend burst out laughing any moment since everyone knew Uraraka wasn't hard to work with and just braced himself for the lecture about working as a team that no doubt would follow, but instead he only received silence. "Oi did you hear me?"

"I did." Kirishima frowned, any trace of humor leaving his face. "Where is she? Is she still in her office?"

"The hell?" Surprised at the odd question, he let his eyes follow Kirishima as he abruptly stood with all playfulness suddenly pushed aside and instead replaced with the seriousness that reflected in his voice. "I don't know, I just got the hell out of there."

Nodding Kirishima quickly headed towards his door.

"Oi what the hell idiot?! I'm still talking to you!"

"I'll be back." Kirishima reassuringly grinned before opening his door and being met with Uraraka's fist hovering over his door. "Uraraka?"

"Hey!" She smiled but couldn't very well hide the worry in her eyes. "Kirishima, I need you to switch with me-" the smile on her face quickly vanished when she saw her new partner come up from behind him.

The instance crimson eyes locked in on her he lowly growled remembering how well the meeting had gone because of her. "You…"

"Now kids, let's play nice." Kirishima nervously chuckled searching his brain for what to do. Clearly Uraraka was seeking him out due to this unforeseen change of events. But things only got more complicated when Bakugo was standing right next to him staring at the unknown mother of his child and only love of his life like he wanted to check and see whether her quirk still worked by throwing her as far away from him as he possibly could.

"Hey guys!" Minas overly chipper voice came booming from behind as she stopped next to Uraraka.

"Mina hey!" Kirishima quickly raised his hand in an awkward wave that had the pink girl curiously turning to stare at everyone.

"What's going on?"

"We're just hanging you know…in front of my office." He deeply exhaled. 'Great now she must think I've lost it- which I pretty much have at this point. Or…. I could just tell her the truth, that I haven't stopped thinking about her since we broke up and that regardless of the fact that I tried to do the chivalrous thing and move on the way she did…Minas still all I ever thing about. And now I find out that I'll be working with her all the while my best friend whose memories are changed due to the girl who loves him deeply has sacrificed everything to keep him and her son safe will be working with him too. Yup seems about right. I definitely lost it.'

"Um Kirishima…"

"Moron, you've got your tongue sticking out while staring into space." Bakugo nudged him which made him quickly blink back as he stumbled forward. "You really do have rocks for brains."

"I do not." Kirishima playfully pouted but smiled when he heard the wonderful sound of Minas' laughter. But what made him smile wasn't that she was laughing at him, but rather with him and still wore that fond smile he remembered seeing all too many nights when they were laughing together.

"So, I heard we'll be partnering up together!" Mina eagerly bounced on her toes. "Isn't that exciting?"

"Yeah I guess…" Kirishimas uncomfortably smiled as his eyes bounced between all three faces.

"Tch, Speak for yourself." Swiftly turning his head away, Bakugo frustratingly folded his arms over his chest.

"What? Why?" Quizzically staring at the people around her Mina stopped at Uraraka who looked just as displeased. "Did I miss something?"

"It seems that not everyone is on board with the sudden change." Kirishima carefully explained as his eyes flicked between both Uraraka and Bakugo.

"And what about you?"

"Me?" Startled, he saw the pink girls' eyes drop to the floor when he hesitated, and it made him inwardly want to kick himself for the way it must've sounded. On one hand he had the girl of his dreams wanting to partner up with him while Uraraka was pleading with her eyes to probably help convince Todoroki that this was a really bad idea and that the best thing would be to get different partners- which he was sure his bro would have no problem with. Or he would, you never really knew with this hot head of a friend.

She could see the positions Kirishima was under, and it made Uraraka feel guilty and turn to Minas pouting face as she stared back practically begging her not to switch. 'Mina please don't give me that look…' she mentally pleaded as Mina gave her the biggest puppy dog eyes she could muster without seeming too obvious.

'Please Ochaco…'

'Mina no….'

'I will make it up to you please! Just let me have this.'

Uraraka was surprised that during all their time together that they haven't accumulated some sort of telepathic quirk with the way they knew how to communicate only by looks. You definitely know what true friendship is when you can have a full out conversation with a few glares, shake of the head, eye rolls and very subtle eye movements. If only Tsu were here, then they could make a whole day of it. Rubbing her eyes the gravity hero reluctantly shrugged. "I guess…"

"See Ochaco's fine with it!"

'I'm really not.' She mentally groaned but when she finally looked up, she saw her new partner already storming down the hall. "Bakugo?"

"Hey man where you going?" Kirishima asked just as confused.

"What's it look like, doing my damn job."

Frowning Uraraka quickly excused herself before running after him since he had a pretty good lead, but stopped once he jumped in the elevator. "Wait hold the-" Gasping she watched as he made sure that the doors closed on her before she even managed to get close. "Did he just…?"

Was he pissed? Fuck yeah, and he was definitely proud about literally shutting her out. It wasn't his finest moment, but it sure was hilarious. That was just the tip of the iceberg of the things he would do if she didn't back the hell off. Which was why he quickly stomped down the lobby and out the door before she even had a chance to catch up again.

'Tch. She guesses?! What the fucks that?! I'll show her.' He was long gone and well down the street thinking he had lost her for sure until he heard her calling out to him followed by the sounds of those annoying high heeled boots of hers. "Damn it!

"Baku-" she cut herself off the minute she saw him quickly push off the ground and propel himself into the air, no doubt in another attempt to lose her. "What is with him?!" She sighs as she feels anger pulse through her chest as she carefully maneuvers herself into the air. "If he thinks he's going to get rid of me that easily he has another thing coming."

Glancing over his shoulder every now and then he was satisfied when he couldn't find her anywhere after a few unexpected detours, and just in time to land and start his patrol. Trying to be as quiet as he could- given the challenging task of his rather loud explosions. It took a lot of careful jumps from one side of the building to the next and maneuvering before finally landing with a THUD.

Snapping his head around he made sure he was alone before confidently heading out of the alley. "Finally."

"Took you long enough."

Whirling around his eyes narrowed in on the girl lazily sitting with her legs crossed on top of each other on the roof of one of the buildings as she smugly waved her hand. "How the hell did you get here?!"

"That's my business." She smirked before jumping down and gracefully landing in front of him. "Better question is, why the hell are you trying to get rid of me?" she angrily jabbed her finger against his chest.

"And since when do you curse?" Scoffing, he quickly shoved her hand away before taking a step back. "It's rude as hell and doesn't suit you Pink Cheeks."

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean-" She innocently blinked back as if just now realizing she had done it but stopped when she saw the hint of a smile on his lips before he made to walk around her. "Bakugo didn't you hear them? You can't go alone."

"And I chose to ignore them."

"Yeah, like you still seem to be doing to everyone." She mumbled and was surprised when that made him stop.

"The fuck you say to me?" Clenching his fists, he swiftly marched back to her. "Oi I'm not the one throwing a bitch fit over who the hell I'm partnered up with-and yes normally I would…" he quickly added when he saw her about to protest. "But I don't see how working together is a problem when we've done it before."

"It's not…not really." She quietly said and couldn't help but drop her eyes to his chest in order to avoid staring directly into his intense glare.

"Then what the hell's wrong with you Round-face? And I don't care if you're going through any personal shit or having some sort of relationship bullshit. Because work is work and I'm not about to risk a person's life over whatever dumb issue you have going on." As much as he hated to admit this since at the moment she wasn't making this easy, but they did make a pretty kick ass team back in school so he couldn't for the life of him understand her right now.

"I'm not either." She determinedly frowned as he bitterly smiled, not believing her at all before resuming walking away.

"Just go and find someone else Round-face."

"I'm here, aren't I?"

"Yeah, but I prefer a partner I can count on. Someone who has my damn back while I have there's. Not someone who's stuck with me." He bitterly spat back at her. "Or someone who doesn't even want to be here."

She watched him exit the alley and turn before she managed to make her feet move. She never felt like she was stuck with him. Not even while they were in school, on the contrary, she always felt like he was stuck with her. It didn't matter how much everyone had improved, they all knew that Bakugo, Deku and Todoroki where the power houses of their class. That both Deku and Bakugo were what inspired the rest of them to always be better and become the heroes they were now.

So, she didn't understand why all of a sudden he thought otherwise. Was this about what the photographer had said the other day? Or something else?

It seemed that she wasn't the only one with hidden issues right now. And she caught a glimpse of that during their third-year ski trip when he admitted how he didn't believe he was worthy of someone like her. Especially when she found out what Ms. Yano/Toga had said back then, but he was wrong. How could he not see that?

After all this time did he still feel like he had to prove himself?

A big part of her wanted to say just that. That she fell in love with everything about him. The good and the bad. But she couldn't. And she knew she shouldn't since this Bakugo didn't seem like he wanted anything to do with her. Least of all her friendship, which she knew was her fault.

"Bakugo wait!" Her heels continued to pound on the concrete as he took long strides to keep as far away as he could. "Surely we can work together without burning the place down, right?"

"Not if you piss me off. Which you have a neck for doing." He fired back not at all stopping.

"Ok well…you could use a little help yourself." She blurted out when her anger picked back up.

"What the fuck did I just say?!" he growled before picking up his pace. "Pissing me off Cheeks!"

"You can't just leave!"

"Watch me." He said, keeping his eyes forward. "And what the hell's wrong with your shoes?!"

"Huh?" Frowning she quickly made to catch up. "Bakugo but you said you need someone to watch your back, right?"

"And let me guess, you think you're the right person all of a sudden? Yeah, no thanks."

"Why not?"

"Because."

"Because?"

"Because I need someone that I can trust and that trusts me."

"And you don't think I do?" It took her a little effort, but she managed to stop right in front of him.

"I don't think that. I know you don't."

Uraraka took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down before locking eyes with his and it took her a few seconds not to want to drown in them. Those crimsons eyes that always terrified his enemies but to her they were beautiful whenever they would stare at her in the way that would make her heart come alive. "I do. I do trust you Bakugo."

Her voice came out soft. So soft in fact that it caught him completely off guard and made his heart speed up, finding it oddly comforting. Yet her eyes told him everything he needed to know. That she did trust him. And he always trusted her even if she didn't know it. After their first fight during the sports festival, he knew that he had found someone who he could see himself alongside with, someone who would always hold her own. Someone who almost kicked his ass third year and his hag of a mother still had the damn recording to proof it.

"I don't have time for this." Shaking his head he nodded towards the opposite side of the street suggesting they split up. "I'll go this way. You can do whatever the hell you want."

"No." Without thinking she quickly grabbed him by the arm to stop him from leaving which turned out to be a big mistake when she could feel the slight spark of electricity run up and down her arms at the bare contact followed by that familiar tingling on her fingertips that made her stumbling back as he yanked his arm free. Based on his surprised expression she guesses he felt it did too, but he quickly masked it.

It wasn't necessarily unpleasant just unexpected since she hadn't felt that since she left.

"Shit!" His expression twisted into rage when his feet abruptly left the ground before shouting at her. "Goddamn it Uraraka!"

"Sorry!" Placing her hands together she quickly released her quirk as a few people began pointing and taking their phones out. It didn't help that he landed face down on the street before slowly getting to his feet and dusting himself off as his icy glare froze her stiff. "Oops…?"

Working his jaw he quickly brushed past her without another word.

"Oh yeah…things will definitely be fine." She defeatedly exhaled.

The silence echoed down the halls as rooms after rooms lined the walls with guards positioned on every door, not daring to move nor let their guard down.

Not in a place like this.

Not in a place like Tartarus where it housed those deemed dangerous by hero society. Unable to ever see the light of day for the rest of their lives. The higher the threat the deeper they kept you, where the lowest levels only accommodated the most dangerous of them all.

"Tell me that story. About how the Sun loved the Moon so much he died every night just to let her breath..."

A single security guard stopped next to one of the more secured rooms in the place. He didn't dare stop long only to check and make sure everything was alright before ignoring the cold shiver down his spine and continuing on down the hallway.

There were no windows, only soft toys sprawled on the small bed that was situated near the patted wall.

"Alright." Looking over her books the child psychologist quickly pulled out the one she'd been looking for as the little girl patiently waited sitting cross-legged on the small bed next to her. "Here we are."

"Once upon a time when the earth was simple, the Sun shone brighter than anything. The people were grateful and rejoiced every time the Sun shone. He brought them joy and warmth; he was even the source of their warmth, happiness, and harvest.

But he was lonely, all by himself in the vast skies. He would look down at the people dancing in his radiance and wonder if he was simply destined for a life of solitude. He reasoned that his loneliness was the price he paid for being the brightest.

Then there was the Moon.

As the Sun grew weary and began to disappear, she would rise into the sky flanked by millions of stars. Her radiance was a sad kind of beauty, one that often went unnoticed as the people slept.

The Stars watched her with woefulness, hoping that one day they could get close enough so she wouldn't feel so empty. But they couldn't. The Moon was untouchable, surrounding herself with a blanket of darkness through the cold nights.

Until one day when the Sun was sliding out of the heavens, he caught a glimpse of her unspoken, humble radiance, surrounded by stars she wouldn't allow anywhere near her. She was peeking up, a rare side of her being exposed to the light, glowing. And while the Sun could shine, he knew the Moon could glow in such an amazing way.

So just as the Stars were wandering into the night, the Sun fell hopelessly in love with the moon like a snowball hurdling down a mountain. How he wished to see her more than the fleeting moments he shared with her at both dawn and dusk.

But the Moon was untouchable.

Uncurable. Unfreeable.

And the moon simply would not have it. She knew her place, even though the moon loved him far more than she loved herself.

"Go," she whispered to him one of those nights, her voice as sweet and sorrowful as the last light of morning, "Go and let me breathe, for you and I have decided fates. You illuminate the day, and I cast a glow on the night. We will never be. Our connection would go against what all people believe, all they know."

That was the first time the sun hid. The very first eclipse, because his heart was broken.

So, the world fell into a temporary darkness and the people wept. And so did the moon. That was the first full moon ever…because she lit herself up in the sky, shining ever so brightly looking for her love the Sun, yet unable to find him.

Soon after he came out of hiding and the Moon breathed a sigh of relief. She knew the people they both diligently watched over would be alright.

Then the Moon hid. She fled to hide her broken heart, and that was the first lunar eclipse. And the people wept because they missed that nocturnal light in the sky. So the Moon quickly returned, and the Sun chased her…and she fled. For centuries.

During the summers he would stay a little longer just in case she would change her mind. But she never did.

He follows her still in the silent skies of fog that echo a broken heart. In the rain. In dawn. In dusk. His only task is to illuminate her to make her even more beautiful than what she ever was the moment he first noticed her in the sky.
When she is full,he gives her thebrightestglow before sunset...because he still loves her so much, because he doesn't want her to feel lost and alone. Because he wants the world to see her glow the way that he does.

Because, you see, the sun loves the moon so much that each night he dies to let her breathe, because the moon just doesn't know any other way...because we mere mortals need them both. So the moon… the moon had to end it all.

"Don't you dare abandon your blessing of light for my darkness." Those were the last words the Moon was strong enough to speak to the Sun. Knowing they could never be. Yet still, the Moon chases the Sun, and the Sun chases the moon, because the truest of love never dies. And never will. No matter how many centuries it takes.
And such is their dance."

Snapping the book shut the woman warmly smiled down at the girl. "You know, you always ask me to read that story. Is that perhaps one of your favorites?" She watched the girl nod as she turned her attention to a small doll she held in her hand and began to brush her hair. "May I ask why that is?"

"It just reminds me that fate will always prevail and that eventually…all things must come to an end."

Frowning the woman kept the smile on her face as she glanced back down at the book. "That's quite an interesting interpretation of this story."

"You don't agree?" The little girl curiously turned to her.

"I believe there are many different ways you could interpret it."

"What's yours?"

"Well many would think that despite the odds staked against them, the Moon and the Sun will never stop searching for each other, no matter how long it will take."

"Interesting..." The girl stopped brushing the dolls hair before turning to the woman once more. "Please tell me the story again about the man who helps the girl spin straw into gold."

Smiling the woman quickly picks up the book. "Of course. It's one of my favorites."

"One of mine too." With a ghost of a smile Hana eagerly awaited the next story.
