Two weeks after that day, Faybelle let out a sigh while shutting her locker door a little harder than she meant to as it slammed closed.
"Whoa, you don't look so good, Faybelle," said Raven who was walking by with Apple when the door slammed and the mentioned girl turned around to face them.
"It's Briar," said Faybelle.
"She's been trying to invite me to her parties but I keep telling her it won't work, which just seems to make her more invested in finding a way to get me to one of them," she said.
"This is all because of your curse, right?" asked Apple.
"Yes, and I'm kind of worried about Briar now," said Faybelle.
"She has been pushing herself a lot to try and figure this out and throwing parties more than ever before," said Raven who shared Faybelle's worry.
"Five parties in the last two weeks is insane, she's had to use up a lot of her allowance so I'm sure she's about to run out of her funds," said Apple.
"Maybe you should talk with her," said Raven.
"Because this is not a healthy obsession she's created for herself and who knows how far it will go," she said.
"I'll see what I can do," said Apple.
"Please, I'm actually begging you here to just get her to back off a little," said Faybelle with pleading eyes.
"Don't get me wrong, I'm happy she wants to do something nice for me since no one else ever has, but I'm worried for her mental health and all right now," she said.
"Okay, I'll check on her after class," said Apple as the bell rang.
"Thank you," said Faybelle. She then headed off to class, leaving the other two standing there for a minute.
"Did Faybelle just admit to worrying about someone else?" asked Raven.
"Yeah, it's kind of surprising," said Apple. The two then separated to head for their next classes.
