After class, Apple had gone to Briar's room where she found the daughter of Sleeping Beauty at her desk working on something.

"Whoa, it looks like a book got sick in here," said Apple while looking around at all the wadded up papers that were scattered on the floor at the foot of the desk. There was even a tower of balled up paper in the trash can next to it.

"Oh, hi Apple," said an exhausted looking Briar while turning in her seat.

"You need to take a break, Briar," said Apple.

"Not until I find a way to invite Faybelle to my next party," said Briar, who had turned back around and was making a list.

"And how can you have a party without money?" asked Apple.

"I sold some of my jewelry to afford it," said Briar.

"You what?!" asked Apple before she forced her BFFA to turn around and face her, allowing her to see the bags under the other girl's eyes better than before.

"It's my jewelry so I can do what I want with it," said Briar.

"Why do you want Faybelle at your party this badly?" asked Apple.

"Because it's not fair!" said Briar who suddenly stood, causing the blonde princess to take a few steps back.

"She spends her whole life not being able to go to parties just to have one ruin everything by being the only one she can go to but she's forced to curse someone?!" she asked.

"This is about destiny?" asked a surprised Apple.

"Honestly, I've been starting to see why the Rebels are so against destiny given how some of them are treated and the hexpectations from them," said Briar.

"I need some air," she said before storming out, tears in her eyes as she did so.

"Whoa, what happened?" asked Ashlynn who had returned to the room right as Briar left.

"I don't really know," said Apple, too stunned to move.
