The first battle of Ragnarok is progressing steadily. Ivar Ragnarsson versus Cthulhu. Cthulhu bends his legs, like springs, once again, his tendril-filled mouth opening wide showing the seemingly infinite row of teeth inside as he shoots forward at immense speeds, Ivar attempting to chop his head clean open with a one-handed axe strike. Cthulhu twists his head 90 degrees biting down on Ivar's axe with a sinister chuckle as Ivar goes through with his swing now trying to slam Cthulhu into the ground, but the horror sets his disproportionate arms into the floor keeping himself steady, twisting both of his legs around behind his back, the two tentacle-limbs twisting together and growing teeth all over as it shoots for Ivar's face.

The giant Viking attempts to pull his axe up to counter but Cthulhu has stuck his fists into the floor keeping him steady. Ivar instead winds his fist back as it bulks up slightly and with a ferocious roar, slams it against Cthulhu's leg strike, pushing it back as he once more seems to break his arm doing so, Cthulhu's legs flicking back as he lets go of Ivar's axe with his mouth and shoots his neck forward for Ivar's shoulder, getting a good bite into it. However, a moment later Cthulhu feels Ivar's axe chopping through his still entangled legs, followed by the giant's hand gripping his head, pulling him off like he's a leech, tossing him back. Cthulhu steadies himself with his hands, extending them as the two fighters take a moment. Ivar's standing in a pile of blood, dark red from the mix of human and Eldritch blood. "You know..." Cthulhu starts as he cracks his neck a few tentacles shooting out of his waist to form new legs. "I regenerate. You… hngh! Don't!" He grits his teeth shooting a few more out as he retracts his arms a bit. "And my teeth can stop your axe," He says his suddenly spawning teeth up and down its length nearly forming a tight scale-like shell around them. He runs forward. "Let's see what you can do about this!" He yells as Ivar flexes his shoulder, seemingly resetting his collarbones and stopping the bleeding.

"What I can do?" Ivar responds raising his axe. "What I, IVAR RAGNARSSON, CAN DO!?" He says as Ragnar stands from his seat.

Ivar's brothers look to him confused. "Father?"

"My sons. You are about to witness legend," He says as Ivar raises his free hand as well.

Pandora bites her nail. "I-I didn't even realize..." She says as Icarus gives her a confused look. "Until now Ivar's been swinging his axe with just one hand," Icarus looks down in shock as Ivar's free hand grips his gigantic axe a little lower on the handle than his other.

"You mean he's STRONGER than what we've been seeing!? But his strength in this fight is already surpassed how strong you told me he was!" He frantically asks, only for his question to be answered as Cthulhu confidently tosses up his toothed arms to block the strike, Ivar drives down his axe with the force of both his arms, seemingly exponentially stronger than before, slicing through Cthulhu's arm with ease, the same toothy armor that previously stopped him dead in his tracks, conquered with one strike! Cthulhu feels he didn't just get through one arm. He got through both, his axe jamming into the floor as Cthulhu managed to barely avoid his head getting slashed open. Cthulhu looks up quickly only to see Ivar already in the middle of the second double-handed swing, this one coming in horizontally. Cthulhu feels something he has never felt before in his life. This is an attack he MUST dodge! He could always heal any injury, but if Ivar is allowed to hit him here, he will die in an instant! He shoots a tentacle from his arm into the floor as hard as he can, sending himself flying into the air, the defenseless tentacle naturally getting chopped up with ease from Ivar's slash.

While Cthulhu is still mid-air, Ivar manages to grab hold of the remaining tentacle, pulling on it. "Get back here, coward!" Ivar yells yanking Cthulhu down towards him, having plenty of time to prepare another double-handed attack.

Lovecraft stands from his seat shaking. "This cannot be! Master!?" He yells as Cthulhu's arm begins to bulge up and he simply wraps himself up in a cocoon of tentacles, Ivar slicing at him with all his might, cutting through the eldritch limbs like the were vines. "No!" Lovecraft adds, falling back as suddenly Ivar feels no less than five punches to his stomach at the same time, getting flung back. Cthulhu hadn't wrapped himself in them! He created the ball and swung under it. While Ivar cut the sphere open he went underneath and created another five tentacles to strike with.

"Shut up, Lovecraft," Cthulhu says with a glare towards the human in the stands as the tentacles Ivar just cut fall to the ground, slowly disintegrating into a puddle of black blood. "I'm not dead yet!"

Lovecraft gasps, as their eyes meet briefly. "Y-yes of course!"

Cthulhu grits his teeth a little as more tentacles spawn from his arm, one at a time, looking like they burst out with much trouble. "You don't go down easily do you?" He asks as Ivar is still standing, not even having fallen from five strikes to his stomach.

"Finally. A point of agreement," Ivar says standing tall, panting a little, flexing his abs to 'reset' his ribcage.

Cthulhu's tongue extends from his mouth swirling around a little, seemingly for intimidation. He looks at himself, his arms and legs made of fresh blood-covered tentacles with tendrils accidentally spilling in places. "Not anymore," He takes a deep breath before screeching into the arena, everyone covering their ears. Cthulhu takes a few steps back as Ivar steps back forward. Cthulhu's arms begin bulging up more than they already were, Lovecraft gasping.

"M-Master… this is. Yes! Splendid!" He yells as another spectator grabs his shoulder.

"What do you mean!? What's he doing!?"

Lovecraft laughs a little. "He's ending it. This is the form my master showed me. Inspired each and every one of my works!" He says as the eldritch monster then begins charging, his left arm, twisting around his back merging with his right, growing larger and more out of proportion, teeth bursting out from every twisted tendril and tentacle. "ELDRITCH ABOMINATION: COSMIC HORROR!" Lovecraft declares cackling.

Ivar's eyes go wide and he raises his axe. He will not falter! To stand against the face of imminent destruction is how he has ALWAYS lived! He grips his axe tightly, swinging it from below, striking Cthulhu's gigantic attack straight on a tooth. It's harder than before!? He feels his leg bones cracking simply flexing his calf muscles to keep them in place, same for his forearms before managing to push Cthulhu into the air, falling back under the attack as Cthulhu plummets without regard, sliding across the arena, the humans in the stands fleeing from their seats seeing him approach, crashing against the side of the arena, crushing it and several rows of seats.

Ivar looks quite shocked as Cthulhu begins to reform from this abominable form his arms slowly returning, still blown WAY out of proportion. "Mighty is the fist you wield, Cthulhu," He says flexing his entire body briefly with a BOOM holding out his axe.

Cthulhu starts sprinting at him again. "Terrifying isn't it!?" Cthulhu shoots more tentacles towards the Viking, Ivar simply chopping them to pieces as people begin returning to their seats, assuming they weren't destroyed. Cthulhu prepares a strike, as does Ivar, holding up his axe for another two-handed swing.

Cthulhu sees the axe swing coming with ease, holding both his arms forward as they bulk up and up and up until it is a wall of tentacles that Ivar slams his axe into with all his might, his entire weapon getting swallowed up along with his right arm. Ivar tries pulling back as Cthulhu solidly plants his feet on the ground and reforms his arms, holding onto Ivar's axe with his grotesquely disproportionate fingers. The two get into what can only be called a tug of war, for Ivar's axe. Both of them strike at each other with their second hands. They share blow for blow, neither backing down even as blood of both red and black erupts from both of them in various places. Suddenly they both manage to counter each other with a punch to the face, sending their heads reeling back, Cthulhu's elastically shooting back as Ivar's neck-muscles bulge up and the two go in for what can only be described as an explosive headbutt. Neither of them even attempts to pull back, and instead both of them roar at the top of their lungs, Cthulhu's tendrils slithering out, as his screech sends gods trembling while Ivar's roaring shout is enough to give humanity chills. Neither fear the other, but all fear them both.
