Heimdall stands in the middle of the arena, once more holding up his Gjallarhorn. "After such a splendid display of skill and sportsmanship! We are onto the fourth round of RAGNAROK!"
Pandora stands up in the stands, frowning as she looks around. "Where's Icarus…? He should be here?" She mutters to herself. Heimdall holds out his arms as he is about to announce. "Now I suggest that for this bout… we alter the spectator's seats a little!" He snaps his fingers and the entire arena starts to change. The spectators' stands all detach and begin to float further away from the arena now.
Humanity seems rightfully confused. "What's going on?" "Why're we being moved?"
Heimdall nods and raises his Gjallarhorn. "However I, your faithful announcer shall remain RELATIVELY close!" He says hopping into a little floating booth. "Now! The reason for these precautions is simple! It is because of THIS god!" He declares pointing to the hallway for the gods. "He is amongst the most feared being in all of Heaven and Earth. His mere name sends people into fits of primal fear and cowardice! Even the proudest of gods would not stand against him without sufficient reason!" He declares as Sobek comes walking out of the hallway, holding Sett out in front of him like he's a stray cat and he's trying to avoid getting bitten. Sett is wiggling and writhing in his grip like he's trying to forcibly free himself, but Sobek's got a firm grip on his collar. Simply upon seeing him the entirety of the gods' audience goes pale, a few of them getting up.
"N-no! NONONO!" "Why would you bring him HERE?!" They cry out and soon at least half of the gods' audience has retreated to the back of their booth in spite of the added distance.
"A god so feral, so wild, so DEADLY he had to be locked away out of fear of harm for anyone around him! A god so excited by violence he single-handedly turned the white desert of Duat into the red desert, in possibly the most violent battle in the history of Heaven. The red sands from which all known life strays! Out of fear of meeting him!" Sobek sets Sett down on the floor as Sett looks up, seeing Ra looking down at him and he almost instantly calms down, his eyes welling with tears.
"Great God Ra…" He mutters, muffled by his muzzle.
"Once a great and honored leader, an HEIR TO THE DUAT, now a fallen, savage CREATURE of pure violence! A god so ferocious, he must be restrained even within his own home, The palace of Duat! EVEN HERE! At this great stage of Ragnarok, a place for gods and men to unleash their full power, to release him from his bandages would endanger every man, woman, god, goddess, and child in this stadium! Make no mistake! His bandages are no mere cloth! Created from the hide of Apophis to restrain him they are said to be as unbreakable as the Gleipnir itself! Nothing less would hold this god back! BEHOLD humanity! Your demise is nearing with the appearance of HIM! The god feared even by the gods themselves! The god of the red desert! THE FERAL GOD-KILLER! THE DUAT'S FALLEN PRINCE! SEEEEEEEEEEEEEETT!" He declares as Sobek lets go of Sett making him briefly fall to the ground. Sett slowly stands, staring intensely up at Ra who simply smirks upon seeing Sett again.
All of humanity sit in silence. "He's… going to fight with so much restraining him?" "That just means we will have an easy victory! R-right?" However, an air of unease befalls humanity. In spite of his restraints, it is clear to everyone. This fight will be anything but easy. Sett glares up at them all, his eyes brimming with hunger. He lays his eyes on a mother sitting with her baby, the child starting to uncontrollably cry at the mere presence of Sett.
"T-there there now. Don't worry sweetie. N-no need to cry. Come on now," She tries but to no avail, children all around are clutching to their mothers, fathers, and guardians, unable to contain their tears. Soon the entire arena is filled with the sound of screaming children.
Heimdall looks unsure of how to continue as he holds up his Gjallarhorn. "E-excuse me. Could we have some silence in the arena?" He tries but to no avail.
However suddenly all crying ceases, and Sett's ears perk towards the gate of humanity. A mellow and calm melody echoes out, played on a violin and the children stop crying. In the crowd, many of the great musicians feel tears brimming in their eyes almost on pure instinct. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johannes Bach, even from modern times, the likes of Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, and Louis Armstrong. "I-is that? That cannot be. Such… beauty," They mutter, unable to hold it in as it truly elevates the hearts of everyone in the stadium, the children ceasing their crying, some even falling asleep nearly instantly in the arms of their parents.
The gods seem equally moved and shocked. "Is that… the music of… Hermes himself?! W-what is he doing at the side of humanity!?" They call out.
However, Heimdall is there to clear things up. "Dance! RHYTHM! MUSIC! These are cornerstones of humanity's existence, seeped deep into tradition! From ancient times, when dances and music would be played to call on the rain, to festivals celebrating joyous occasions, to the modern mother or father, singing their children to sleep with a lullaby! Music, in essence, is found in EVERYTHING humanity has! Among all of humanity, however, there is only ONE MAN, whose passion for music and skill in the craft could elevate the entire art to heights never-before-seen!" He calls out as the creator of the soothing melody appears from the darkness of the corridor, Beethoven stepping into the arena, calmly playing on a violin, Sett tilting his head curiously as he looks at the human. "In life, he was credited as the greatest composer to ever live! In death, he was immortalized as such! Never before, nor ever since has a human shown us skills such as his! Even with a dark cloud of sadness looming over him all his life, his symphonies, each and every one, have endured the test of time and brought a joyous clear sky to all who listen! With a stroke of his keys he births beauty! With a stroke of his bow, he instills calmness! With each blow of his flute, he brings forth glee! With each flick of his quill, he creates ART!"
Beethoven stops playing his music as something comes rolling after him. A gigantic ornate bell-shaped object, several times his own size, stops behind him and he gently places the violin into a slot on the side, which quickly folds away. "He now stands here! On the most prestigious stage in existence; Ragnarok; to give humanity, the gods, and his opponent but a small taste of what it TRULY means to LIVE through music! GIVE IT UP FOR! Humanity's Greatest Musician! The bringer of rhythm! THE DARK MIND OF MELODY! THE ARBITER OF MUSIC! LUDWIIIIIIIG VAN BEEETHOOOOOOOOVEEEENNNN!" He yells out as Beethoven gently bows to the crowd and smiles up at humanity.
Ra scoffs lightly. "So she sends the musician. Foolish. Sett will dismantle him with ease."
Osiris pokes his lips a little, Sobek having joined the two by Ra's side. "I'm not so certain we can rule this Ludwig Van Beethoven out just yet."
Sobek glares at Osiris. "You dare question lord Ra's opinion?!"
Ra holds up his hand. "I would like you to be silent."
"Y-yes lord Ra."
Pandora looks quite nervous. "Please. Please don't die! Beethoven!" She yells out and Beethoven's ear perks back a little bit. He turns his head and spots Pandora, giving her a single wave and another forced smile. "Y-you got this!"
Beethoven looks around the arena, seeing all the kids have calmed down and Pandora seems more calm, now turning his attention towards Sett. The two silently stare at each other. "..." One with the calmest, cold eyes, the other with eyes of fiery anger.
Heimdall looks at Beethoven, then to Sett. "Hm? Usually, there's some banter," He whispers to himself before he holds out his Gjallarhorn. "Then I see no reason to stall anymore! LET THE FOURTH ROUND OF RAGNAROK… BEGIN!" He declares however Sett stands in silence, Beethoven not moving either. "Um… I said… BEGIN!" Again. Nothing.
Ra smirks. "Sett. Kill him," He orders and as if on command, Sett locks onto Beethoven his pupils constrict and he springs forward, leaping up for a kick.
Beethoven pulls out the conductor's wand he got from Pandora's Box and sways it towards Sett in a single perfectly smooth motion, causing the gigantic bell behind him to unfold rapidly! The unfolding reveals a massive number of instruments, each attached to various metal arms from top to bottom of the giant construct in the formation of a standard orchestra. He raises his hands and gently brings them down as Sett approaches, which causes a row of drums to all be hit at once, sending a soundwave out, so violent and powerful that Sett's kick is weakened. The next beat weakens it further. And further. And further. Until Sett feels like he's hit a wall before he's flung back with a final powerful BEAT! As he's flung back, he does a full flip, to land on his feet. The god looks a little confused, with a rather abrupt and wondrous head tilt. Beethoven leans his head back with a stoic look on his face, holding his wand and free hand out as if he's ready to direct an orchestra. GREAT SYMPHONY MACHINE: METAL ORCHESTRA!
Sett's ears flicker a bit, and he blinks a few times. "... heh," He mutters into his muzzle before he runs forward again, Beethoven swaying his wand, calmly causing various pianos and violins to begin playing, Sett seeing each of them firing out metallic musical notes towards Sett. METAL ORCHESTRA: CHORDOPHONE MODERATO! Sett hops left and right, almost in tune with the melody Beethoven plays, dodging the incoming notes, ending up close to the human again, Beethoven crosses his arms, causing every trumpet and brass horn in the Metal Orchestra to join in the cacophony of sounds coming from it, sending shockwaves out in perfect tune with the current melody. Sett is slowly pushed back as he is hit again and again, however, this time the god slams his feet into the ground, burrowing the soles of his metal shoes into the arena, and he slowly steps forward, leaning against the shockwaves, his ears folding down due to the loud noise.
"!?" Beethoven looks somewhat shocked as he leans forward, which makes the trumpets be joined by the rest of the brass section, Sett feeling his upper body getting pushed back harder than he can keep himself straight. METAL ORCHESTRA: LABROPHONE FORTISSIMO!
"Come ooooooooon…" Sett mutters before he's blown off his feet again. Beethoven does not cease his music, firing up a couple of pianos which burst forth with perfectly synchronized notes, striking Sett midair as he gets knocked further back, before twisting his body to correct himself kicking the notes away with a rapid disorganized assault with one leg. "RAAAAAAAAAAAWR!" He screams out angrily as he strikes them all away before landing. He smiles a little as Beethoven's music dies down to a pleasant melody, never completely ceasing, Beethoven merely guiding his music more calmly. Sett keeps his foot raised, ready to strike. "Mmm…" Sett looks at the metal shoe which has been loosened and dented by Beethoven's attack. Sett sets his foot down and suddenly RIPS the shoe off revealing a clawed somewhat furry foot. He struggles for a little bit with nudging the other shoe off. "Come on. Get off of meeeeee!" He screams angrily.
Meanwhile, in the tower of Babel, Thoth is still working without much care for Ragnarok when a small Sphinx comes up to him, with a pink and blue similar to a pharaoh's Nemes, fixing her tiny glasses. She is clutching a book, which looks like an imitation of the large book Thoth carries. "Excuse me, L-Lord Thoth?" She asks gently tugging at his skirt. standing at about half Thoth's height.
Thoth pauses his work and looks down at her, before kneeling to face her properly. "Yes, Giza? Is there a problem? Do not tell me it is those boys from the Alexandria section again?" He asks glaring over the edge of the bookshelf they're standing on.
"N-no, Lord Thoth! They got the message last time, sir. It's just that… a lot of us REALLY wish to see Ragnarok."
Thoth glances down at her, standing and turning back to his work. "It will be documented. You can watch it later."
"But… watching it live is much more exciting! A-and Lord Ra has sent out Sett! It should be an exciting match! Right? Sir?" The tiny sphinx insists stomping her tiny foot.
Thoth sighs. "Sett huh? Very well. But you must still work. I cannot have my secretary of all people falling behind." Thoth snaps his fingers, as screens appear all around the tower, and everyone cheers. "Silence," Thoth reminds them as he looks at the screen seeing Sett struggle to get his other shoe off. He stomps on it and claws at it with his free foot.
Giza gulps seeing Sett so aggressively jamming his heel into his own foot. "Lord Thoth. He can't just… get his restraints off right?"
Thoth flips a page in his book. "Not without harming himself."
"Oh thank goodness…"
"But knowing Sett… self-harm does not bother him," Thoth mutters rather matter-of-factly, making Giza gulp.
Back at the arena, everyone starts to wince as they hear the sound of tearing flesh as Sett slowly but surely lifts his foot out of his restraint. "Haaaaaaaah…" He coos as he sets down a bloody foot.
Thoth glances up at the screen. "So he stomped his foot to pieces along with those shoes? As expected."
Giza gulps and gently tucks at Thoth's skirt again. "Lord Thoth… you LIVED with that guy?"
Thoth gently pulls her closer like she's a scared child. "Long ago. If it scares you, then stop watching, Giza."
Sett happily laughs as he jumps around a little. He raises his foot practically straight into the air, looking at his furry, clawed foot with a look of pure bliss, despite of the amount of blood dripping from it. He runs forward once more, Beethoven once more waving his wand around calmly, like water flowing gently down a stream. In response Metal Orchestra fires up the piano once more, firing the metallic notes towards Sett, pausing briefly and headbutting one of them sending his head careening back. He's hit once more, and again, and again, being pushed into the floor as Beethoven gracefully flicks the wand, the brass section and string instruments joining the symphony! The brass horns each fire out a shockwave, while the strings add more metal notes to the flurry of attacks. Each wave from a horn perfectly striking a note, boosting its speed, each of them slamming them directly at Sett's location, leaving a massive crater. CHORDOPHONE + LABROPHONE: ACCELENADO! Beethoven holds out his arms and pauses his symphony with a stoic look on his face, which hasn't changed since the battle began.
"Such ferocious power displayed by humanity this round! Is such a weapon even classifiable!? Is it over already for Sett!?" He declares everyone looking at the crater.
Ra scoffs. "Had Sett been so weak, I would not have chosen him. Do not disgrace me Heimdall," He says Osiris snickering a bit as Heimdall feels a cold sweat run down his spine.
"I-It was never my intention, lord Ra! I just wished to provide good commentary!"
As the dust settles, Sett is lying on the ground, a large crack in his muzzle mask. His mouth is covered but judging from his eyes. He's shocked. "Heh… hehehehe! HAHAHAHAHAAA! KYAAAAAAHAHAHAAA!" He sets his feet against the ground and stands up from there in an almost creepy snake-like manner. As he stands up fully, the mask starts to fall apart, revealing his face underneath. A feline face with a snout and sharp teeth. The clip holding his hair up also falls off as his hair flutters out to the sides like a mane. He lets on a bright and creepily gleeful smile. "You," He says pointing to Beethoven with his clawed foot. "You're something else. This is going to be SO much fun!" He says, slowly building from a chuckle to a loud cackle with Beethoven putting up his guard as he sees something strange! The bandages around Sett's body begin to shift and move, extending behind him as the tips slowly warp and change into a purple-ish color and form several snake heads.
"?!"
