Sett has broken through his last restraint, his straitjacket, and is standing in the middle of the arena, faced down by the Metal Orchestra Crescendo. He laughs maniacally as the multitude of sand blades form around him, sending a chill down the spine of everyone in the arena. This is fear. But it's not fear of the unknown like Cthulhu invoked. Or even fear like what a man like Ra or Zeus instills. The kind of fear that demands respect. This fear. This is the fear of knowing EXACTLY what kind of creature, what kind of THING, is in front of you and how utterly meaningless your life is to it. In the most basic terms… A walking sandstorm. And staring him down is a single man. A man who has yet to display any fear of Sett. Ludwig Van Beethoven, a musician that Sett has just deafened after breaking free, and yet here he stands, seemingly unfazed, simply holding out his arms and his orchestra, moves, and jitters, ready to follow his every instruction.
Unlike before Sett is not the first to move. Instead, Beethoven flicks his baton and unleashes the pianos and violins, along with the brass section, each instrument blasting at even greater volume now, hurling musical notes at Sett. METAL ORCHESTRA: CHORDOPHONE + LABROPHONE: ACCELENADO FORTISSIMO! The Egyptian god's grin only seems to be getting wider by the minute. "Beautifuuuuul…" He says as he's struck by the very first note, not seeing how fast it was before it's too late, only managing to get his arm up to block and he's pushed back. "Stronger… KYAhahaha…" However, before the next couple of notes strike the god, the compressed sand blade around him shooting forward as well, along with Sett, each blade clashing with a musical note, knocking them off course and thus away from Sett. As Sett approaches Beethoven blasts off another assault, mixing in the wood-wind instruments to create a barrier for Sett, each strike moving faster than before, forcing Sett to move back a little. "KYAHAHAAA! You're amazing! Even with burst ears! You're still keeping up! You're even STRONGER!" He calls out laughing as he throws his entire body back to avoid a note. "Give me some more fun, human…" He coos as he swings his sand-covered arm and even more blades form in the air around him. GUARDIAN'S BLADES! The blades start firing off, at rapid speeds, striking Beethoven's attacks down.
Icarus grips the railing. "What's HAPPENING down there!? Beethoven's attacks are still… in perfect synchrony! And his attacks are STRONGER now?!"
Pandora smirks and crosses her arms. "Fufufu. You see, Icarus? I told you it'd be fine. Beethoven, during most of his life, was deaf. He can FEEL the music. The vibrations in the air!"
"But how is he so much stronger now!?"
"He was hurting himself if he went over a certain level of noise! But now he can't play as loud and proud as he wants! GO BEETHOVEN!"
"... he's deaf now. He can't hear you."
"The thought is what counts! Go go!" Pandora cheers.
"Hmpf…"
Sett springs around, dodging the notes, with his crazy level of flexibility and instincts, and he suddenly lowers his position into what can only be described as a tiger about to strike. "Here I come…" He grins. "BEETHOVEEEEEEEN!" He screeches so loudly even Beethoven felt it in his body as he shoots forward disappearing for a moment, before appearing in front of Beethoven to strike, sand forming around his hand, forming into a large golden khopesh. GUARDIAN'S EDGE! However Sett's head tilts as he sees Beethoven's already finished a command while Sett was moving towards to him, suddenly spinning his khopesh around and stabbing it into the ground, just in time for the drums to blast out, LAUNCHING Sett back with an incredibly loud booming sound. It's driven deep into the ground, yet Sett's hand is not strong enough to keep a hold of it sending him flinging back, correcting himself midair, grinning happily as Beethoven blasts notes towards the god before he even lands. GUARDIAN'S BLADES! Sett launches equally countless blades off with howling laughter, striking the notes in the middle of the arena as the two stand in nearly perfect equilibrium, Sett's eyes locked onto Beethoven.
Sobek shivers a bit, seeing Sett's face. "Damn… I forgot how terrifying Sett's magic is. That's some power."
Ra nods. "He is worthy to reside within The Duat."
"Even if he must be restrained at all times."
Elsewhere on the gods' side Izanagi and Izanami are sitting, looking rather stunned at Sett's true power. "That kid is quite powerful. The Duat is not to be taken lightly. Their magical capabilities are truly amongst the greatest in all of Heaven," Izanagi says crossing his arms.
"But I must say… his mindless attacks, powerful as they are, they're not landing. Such a shame." Izanami adds putting a hand on her cheek with a slight frown.
Ra glances across the stands at Izanami, sitting quite far away, and scoffs. "Just wait, mother-in-law,"
"Hm? Excuse me, lord Ra?" Osiris says but Ra ignores him looking back at the fight.
Sett sprints around slashing notes to pieces with his khopesh whenever they manage to get through his onslaught of sand blades. He suddenly springs forward again, ducking under a flurry of music, only to be stopped by the drum again, Beethoven swinging his baton to launch Sett back. However, in midair Sett tosses his khopesh at Beethoven, forcing the man to dodge and he glances down at the blade before quickly snapping back to Sett! Sett flies through the air, nearly hurtling out of the arena when his sand forms a large ornate shield behind him, which he lands on. GUARDIAN'S BULWARK! As he prepares to blast off the bandages wrapped around his body and grabs hold of the shield, Sett presses his legs against the shield as it jerks around, letting him dodge Beethoven's onslaught. It suddenly shoots forward, and the bandages let go of Sett, allowing him to extend his legs, shooting him like a bullet. "GIVE! THAT! BACK!" He screams with a laugh as Beethoven once more forces him back with his drums. "KAH! SO LOUD! KYAHAHA!" He yells laughing as he lands on his shield again and fires himself back forward. And again, the same thing happens. And again, and again and again. In the end, everyone is staring as it appears Sett is merely another of his own sand blades, shooting back and forth. No matter where Beethoven knocks him away he comes back equally as fast the next moment! But it's not without injury as Sett is continuously slammed with random notes that slip through his defense and the drum beats feel like he's striking a wall every time.
Pandora clasps her hands together worried. "This is… so strange… He's not making any progress! Why is Sett doing that!?"
Icarus flutters his wing a little. "If I had to guess… Sett's simply got no plan. He's throwing himself at Beethoven over and over again because he's enjoying himself."
"He's… enjoying himself?"
"Yeah. But if Beethoven's machine can keep playing music forever the victor is already decided."
Pandora frowns a bit. "That's… a little sad. For Sett…" Icarus grits his teeth. Sympathizing with the gods? Of course…
Beethoven gently shakes his head, closing his eyes and his attack ceases for but a moment, as he swaps to another instrument, the woodwind! As Sett blasts forward he finds himself striking down at incredible speeds next to Beethoven, swinging his arm around to slice the human's head off in one swoop, but his strike is blocked by a metal wire striking down between them, and as he tries moving back, another strike, blocking his foot slightly, then another, and another! Repeatedly until suddenly Sett finds himself completely blocked off by wires, trapping him in an immovable web! METAL ORCHESTRA: AEROPHONE: CAESURA! Beethoven opens his eyes once more and turns his head to face Sett. "RAAAAWR! Trapping me!? AGAIN!? I WANT TO FIGHT MOOOOORE! KYAAAAA!" He screams at Beethoven seemingly forgetting he's the one who made him deaf, to begin with.
"... … …" Beethoven steps up and pokes Sett's forehead with his baton before pulling back. "!.!.!.!.!" He suddenly does nearly a full spin, seemingly putting a large amount of effort into this and he swings his baton away from himself like he's trying to cut something with it! Sett's instincts make his eyes dart toward the Metal Orchestra's main drumset which starts rumbling almost. In the next moment, silence. And then… METAL ORCHESTRA: MEMBRANOPHONE SEMIBREVE FORTEISSISSISSIMO! A singular beat of his drum blazes through the air. A strike so loud, Heimdall is blown from his flying chair, the audience is nearly blown from their seats.
MUCH further away, a man is walking across the land, wearing a large ragged cloak covering most of his body, clinging to it with a hood over his eyes, barely able to see the arena in the distance, as a mere speck. But the noise reaches even him. "Hmpf. Ragnarok huh? Good."
Even at Babel, minutes later, the walls would gently shake, according to Thoth it created quite a ruckus.
However, none feel the effects of this move more than Sett himself. If he had to describe it, it is the equivalent of being struck by a living pyramid. The wires disappear moments before contact, Sett bracing with his bandages ll flicking into the ground to steady, using his sand to create large blades which he stabbed into the floor, leaning forward as best he can. However it is not enough and his hand is forced off his blades, his bandages tearing at his flesh before snapping! His arm crackles as he keeps a firm hold with all his might. Until his skin starts tearing at his wrist and elbow. "NNNNNNNGRAAAAA!" He screams before he's is FLUNG across the arena at the speed of sound, crashing through the wall around the arena.
Beethoven himself, however 'safely' he stands compared to his music is not unaffected either as he tumbles into the middle of the arena, standing up and dusting himself off. "..." He nods at the hole in the wall leading down several hallways, with more holes in the walls, ending in a big pile of rubble. He nods and bows a little.
The entire arena, even Ra looks somewhat stunned at this display of power from Beethoven, however, it appears the drum which made the beat has burst! "What… the HELL… was THAT!?" Sobek says gripping his ears. "GAH! My ears are still ringing!"
Osiris looks at the hole in the wall. "Where's Sett!? Did that… get him?" He looks down at the sword stuck in the ground, his eyes widening. "Is that…" The handle still has Sett's hand gripping it, ripped off at the wrist clutching it tightly. "Sett's hand!?"
Ra leans himself back in his chair with an annoyed grunt. "..."
Pandora was knocked back slightly, Icarus managing to stand his ground. "You're KIDDING! That was insane!"
Pandora gets up and pats herself down, tapping her ears. "WHAAAAT?" She yells stepping up. "HE'S REALLY STRONG! I TOLD YOU!"
"Stop yelling!"
However, Pandora's eyes widen as she looks back down at the arena. "N-no way…" She whispers, unable to even hear herself at the moment.
Beethoven turns around to walk back to the Metal Orchestra before he suddenly feels rumbling coming from behind him. "...? …!" He spins around seeing Sett mere inches from his face and it's as if time slows down for him.
Sett's arm is fully wound back for a punch even though he has no hand on that arm and his eyes fixed on Beethoven's face, his entire body bloodied and some skin has even ripped off to the bone in places and strangest of all his smile has somewhat as he's deadly focused on landing this punch! Beethoven throws up his arm to block, Sett's punch coming in too fast! "Nice hit! HERE'S-" He lands it, striking with the stump where his hand used to be! "-MINE!" The first proper strike on Beethoven since the match began! LAUNCHING the human backward, shattering a few ribs as Beethoven strikes the Metal Orchestra and coughs up some blood. "KYAAAAAA! That felt so gooooood!" He starts slowly walking towards Beethoven his blades forming as he sees Beethoven crawling towards his baton which was knocked out of his hand when he impacted.
"LUDWIG!" His teachers all call out as Beethoven grits his teeth getting his hand onto the baton just in time for Sett to flatten it with his foot.
"Haaaaah… Nooooow you're done it, human," He says as he crushes Beethoven's hand with his foot causing some audible cracks to echo through the now silent arena.
"You…"
Sett pauses a bit as he jerks his head behind him, "HAH!?" He looks around frantically, gripping his head, seemingly hearing something. his guardian blades all point down at Beethoven ready to kill him, yet he almost looks… confused, though he's still quietly laughing. "Yeah!? YEAH! A fitting end! THIS!" He holds out his arms looking up at the Metal Orchestra, seemingly beginning to compose his own symphony, mimicking Beethoven's movements, still standing on his hand, Beethoven reaches forward with his other hand to grab his baton, but it's too late! Sett's blades! For the first time fire ELSEWHERE than Beethoven! His Metal Orchestra! It blasts away at it like a storm of strikes, knocking instrument after instrument loose, to the loud sound of laughter. "Beautiful musiiiiic…" Sett coos as Beethoven's face sinks seeing his weapon begin to crumble so unceremoniously before him. Sett tilts his head as the grand piano which has caused him so much trouble falls, and the entire thing comes crashing down atop of them, jumping back with a huge backflip, the piano landing directly onto Beethoven along with metal debris with a loud yet oddly silent thud. Sett lands and laughs. "THANK YOUUUUUU!"
Pandora gasps. "N-no. Beethoven. Sett can survive that easy b-but not him. no! nonono! Not again! NOT AGAIN!" She runs to the railing and grabs hold of it. "BEETHOVEEEEEEN!"
Beethoven's teachers all sit back in silence. "no… no it's not… possible… Not our best student!"
Christian's eyes well up in tears. "No. You still… you have to find it…" He mutters and suddenly a hand erupts from the debris!
Sett's triumphant look to the skies sinks back down to stare as Beethoven rises from the debris, huffing, and puffing as he glares at Sett in anger. "!.!.!.!" Not. Yet. NOT! YET!
