My Hero Academia: Lion of Courage

After the mob of students had calmed down, everyone continued with what they were doing while the police escorted the media reporters out and arrested those who refused to leave. Everyone was already talking about the Exit Sign Man who helped calm down the situation. Though while Iida was humbled by the compliments, he wasn't a big fan of the nickname he had been given.
After Class 1-A returned to their homeroom, Midoriya prepared to address beside Yaoyorozu. When she and Takeo made eye contact, she smiled, causing him to look away and blush.
"Hello, everyone," Midoriya greeted. "I'm sure everyone was a bit startled by what happened during lunch earlier. Well…as a matter of fact, because of what happened, I realized something."
Bakugo wanted to hear Midoriya say that he was dropping out of U.A. He was enraged when Midoriya told him how he 'got his Quirk' from someone and hadn't been lying. Clearly, Bakugo was not convinced and swore two things after Midoriya told him this.
"I…I may not be the best now, but that won't stop me. I will BECOME the best and I'll beat every member of our class to prove it, including you, Deku, and especially IcyHot. Because that's what being Number One is: facing every challenge head on and not backing down. But don't you get comfortable, Deku: I will find out how you got that Quirk. I will find the truth and when I do, I'll expose you for the fraud you are!"
Bakugo learned the brutal reality of himself after the Combat Training yesterday. He could no longer simply say he was the best, not when someone like Todoroki could win without breaking a sweat. He was determined to prove himself above everyone else, to prove why he deserved to be Number One.
"I'm…I'm stepping down from being Class Representative," Midoriya informed.
Yaoyorozu's eyes shone a bit after hearing that. She silently hoped that Midoriya would give the position to her and the runner up could become Vice President. She wanted to show excitement, but remained calm and collected as she didn't want to feel like she was enjoying him standing down.
"But if you won't be Class Rep, who will?" Raionhato asked Midoriya, who looked at Tenya Iida in Seat 4.
"Iida," Midoriya addressed. "When the reporters broke into the school, everyone panicked because they thought we were under attack. We would've continued to panic had you not help calm everyone down. You said that a Class Representative needs to be a leader and earn the trust and respect of our classmates…and during that panic, you showed those qualities. That's why…that's why I'm offering you the position of Class Representative, if you'll have it."
Everyone looked at Iida, who looked at Midoriya. He was touched by Midoriya's words, claiming he embodied what it meant to be a Class Representative. During that panic, with Uraraka's help, Iida stopped the students from panicking and informed them that it was a false alarm. He showed the qualities he said a Representative must have.
Yaoyorozu's internal excitement died. While she did agree that Iida helped stop the panic from getting worse, she had hoped Midoriya would give the position to her. She couldn't speak out as it'd make appear as though she was discrediting Iida and she had no desire to do so, so her only option was to remain silent and hope Iida would turn it down.
"Midoriya," Iida replied as he stood up. "I thank you for your words of encouragement and I thank you even more for offering me the position as Class Rep. I humbly accept this responsibility and I give you my solemn word that I will continue to present the qualities you said I possessed."
"I had 3 more votes than him," Yaoyorozu whispered under her breath as the class cheered Iida as the new Class Representative.
Just when she believed she was going to get her chance, it was ripped away from her. She wanted the position for herself, believing that she had what it takes to be what Iida described: a leader and capable of earning the respect and trust of her classmates. She had certainly earned the trust and respect of two of them, otherwise she wouldn't have had three votes.
"Alright, alright, settle down," Aizawa said after he woke up from his nap. "Today, we'll be heading to the USJ. Does anyone here know what that stands for?" Todoroki was the one to answer.
"It means Unforeseen Simulation Joint," he explained. "It's a facility in U.A. to help train Hero Course students for natural disaster scenarios."
"Exactly," Aizawa replied. "It's not just villains Pro Heroes will be called to combat. Besides villains, natural disasters are the 2nd highest factor for endangering citizens. Rockslides, avalanches, tsunamis, plane crashes, earthquakes…you could be called for any situation and the USJ is to help prepare you for those. Not only will you grow familiar with how to respond to these disasters, but it'll help improve your decision-making skills, your teamwork, your ability to cooperate and communicate…all of these qualities are vital to becoming Pro Heroes."
Takeo immediately thought to Yaoyorozu and Bakugo for separate reasons. He felt Yaoyorozu embodied those qualities very well from their Combat Training. As he stated, he felt it was ultimately her leadership and strategy that helped them win the round. She had set up multiple defenses and wisely had Takeo go on the offensive due to his superior martial skills; her only flaw was that she didn't know Zankoku's abilities.
Bakugo, on the other hand, couldn't be any further from these qualities. Even if he wasn't expelled for his monster blast attack, he displayed poor teamwork, a complete lack of cooperation and minimal communication. He was so focused on trying to fight Midoriya that he almost completely ignored Iida the entire time during his match.
"And another important quality is putting your own personal feelings aside," Aizawa stated. "You may end up working with someone you don't like, but that doesn't matter when innocent lives are on the line or villains are wreaking havoc. Smart villains will always look for a weakness to exploit and poor teamwork is one of the easiest to take advantage of. So whoever you end up with, I'll expect to work together and not get caught up in bickering. Every moment counts and one second may be the difference between victory or defeat, life or death. Never forget that."
Takeo felt Aizawa's words were directed towards him. He was starting to hate Bakugo with a passion, so much so that his other classmates had picked up on it. But as their teacher said, if they were to be Pro Heroes, they'd have to learn to put aside their own petty rivalries in the face of defeating villains or saving innocent citizens.
Would he be able to? Would he be able to work with Bakugo if they were teamed up together? As he said, Bakugo was uncooperative, volatile and overly violent. Could anyone work with a wild beast like him?
After ordering robots to rebuild the wall that was destroyed, Nezu had gone over the footage from other cameras to see if he could identify the man who destroyed the barrier and allowed the reporters to flood in. Unfortunately, he had done a good job hiding his face, leaving Nezu with ultimately nothing.
"What was he planning?" Ms. Midnight asked, the R-Rated Hero and the Modern Hero Arts History Teacher at U.A. "All he did was let the reporters in. What does he have to gain from doing something like that?"
"Well, unfortunately, the police were unable to find him," Sunstorm brought up. "As soon as the wall disintegrated, he left. This isn't just some spiteful prank; this is something else."
"Indeed," Nezu agreed. "As a precaution, I've asked Razor Shell to join Eraser Head, All Might and Thirteen at the USJ today."
"Are we expecting an attack?" Midnight asked.
"I'm hesitant to say," Nezu answered. "But we cannot disregard the possibility. If we're caught unprepared…there's no telling of what could happen."
Nezu didn't want to take extreme measures if this turned out to merely be an isolated incident, but at the same time, potential negligence could lead to disastrous consequences. No attack on U.A. could ever afford to be dismissed, but until they found out who this hooded man was, they could only take standard necessary precautions to avoid causing suspicion and potential worry.
"Maybe we should have the students not go to the USJ today as a precaution," Sunstorm suggested. "Tell them that it's need of repairs and we have to postpone until a later date."
"Principal Nezu has already asked Razor Shell to join up with the others at the USJ," Ectoplasm brought up. "Until we can identify who this man is, it's in our best interest to keep everything going normally. It's one thing to destroy U.A.'s defensive barrier, but infiltrating it is another matter entirely."
"I see your point," Sunstorm acknowledged. "Despite what we see in the footage, I doubt this hooded man would do something like this if he was acting alone."
"I have to agree with Ectoplasm," Nezu answered. "We don't know enough about this man and by himself, he doesn't have the means to infiltrate U.A. We should keep everything going normally to avoid causing unease."
Sunstorm and Midnight personally disagreed with this, but Nezu had made his decision. They didn't have enough information, didn't know who the hooded man was, or if he was alone or not. They'd have to keep precautions to a minimum for now until they learned more.
Open Palm was looking over Class 1-B during their martial arts class, using his Seismic Sense to watch their fighting matches. For today, he had forbade them from using their Quirks so as to gain an understanding on their hand-to-hand skills. To his surprise, several of them were actually doing very well.
Five of them stood out: Itsuka Kendo, the newly elected Class Representative for Class 1-B, Kaze Yonaka, Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, Hinote Onkyo and Kana Hironaka. Even without the uses of their Quirks, they were very skilled in martial arts. Unfortunately, most of the class showed rather abysmal martial arts skills, including two of the students who had gotten in on recommendation.
After the matches were concluded, Open Palm stood to address the students.
"Now, I'm a blind man and even I can see some of you asking 'Why is this important?'," Open Palm spoke. "Would anyone care to explain why we have a martial arts class?" One of the students raised her hand, belonging to Kana Hironaka.
"Because some of us don't have really flashy Quirks, so we need to develop our close combat skills," she answered in a cheerful tone. Open Palm felt an overwhelming aura of attraction coming from many of the male students and directed towards Hironaka. He was already guessing that she'd be the belle of Class 1-B.
"Technically, yes," Open Palm confirmed. "Some of you only have Quirks that are good for mobility, support, strategy, but for not direct fighting. It's absolutely vital that you compensate if your Quirks alone aren't good for combat. Take me for example; my Quirk allows me to sense movement on the ground. Good for detecting enemies, but on its own, it's worthless in combat, hence why I trained in martial arts…and became the greatest martial artist in history." He smirked as he said that last bit.
"Is it true that you used to train with All Might when you were younger?" one of the students, Hinote Onkyo, asked.
"Sure did," Open Palm informed.
"Is there any chance I could train with him?" Onkyo asked. "I mean, I'm sure someone like me could-"
"With that kind of arrogance, not a chance," Open Palm interrupted. "Besides, the only way he'd take students is if he wanted to. If he doesn't want to, he'll show you the door." Open Palm felt the aura of disdain and annoyance from the class, directed towards Hinote Onkyo for his arrogant comment. Open Palm could only hope that Onkyo had the skills to back up his ego, but would give him credit as he did see that Onkyo possessed good martial arts skills.
"So your homework for this week will be spend around thirty minutes practicing your hand-to-hand combat each day," Open Palm responded. "Class dismissed."
After Class 1-B left, Open Palm decided to go back to his meditation, but was stopped when he heard the door open and then two arms wrap around his shoulders.
"Nemuri, we're on school time," he responded. "You remember what Principal Nezu said."
"But there's no one around," Midnight whined playfully.
"Nemuri…" Kenzo repeated firmly, earning a puppy-like whine from his girlfriend.
"Party pooper," she playfully insulted and sat next to him. Kenzo chuckled at Nemuri's playfulness, but until they were done with school time, they couldn't behave romantically…but that didn't stop Nemuri from trying.
"So, any students stand out to you yet?" she asked. "Anyone you'd want to take as your apprentice?"
"I have a few considerations, but nothing solid," Kenzo replied. "It's only the 3rd day."
"Oh," Nemuri replied before smirking. "In that case, any…any young love you could detect?"
Kenzo's blindfold hid his rolling eyes. He loved Nemuri Kayama, but he hated it when she got involved in students' love lives. She loved the sight of students being in love with each other and always made it a point to offer her advice whenever it was needed, whether it was just for daily life things…or romantic.
"Nemuri, every time I've told you, you try to get involved," Kenzo pointed out.
"Well, I just want to offer them what aid I can," Nemuri responded. "I just want the female students to know that I'm here to offer advice on how to seduce- I mean, win the hearts of any boys they like!" She looked at Kenzo with a sheepish grin while he just stared blankly at her.
"You are so lucky Principal Nezu didn't hear you say that," Kenzo stated.
"It just slipped," Nemuri claimed.
"Sure," Kenzo chuckled before he pecked Nemuri's cheek. "So, were we able to identify who the hooded man was?" Midnight shook her head.
"No and we have no idea where's he gone. Principal Nezu is strongly suggesting we don't treat this as an isolated incident as we often do."
"Well, good decision," Kenzo replied. "Destroying a part of U.A.'s defensive barrier is far more than just an isolated incident. But what is he after? Unless he has help, I doubt he could easily infiltrate U.A."
"For now, we just keep precautions to a minimum," Nemuri answered.
All the teachers who knew about how the wall was breached were on edge. U.A. had dealt with all kinds of problems before; it was inevitable due to being Japan's most prestigious Hero School. Rejected students acting out of anger and spite, rival schools vandalizing, negative slogans against them…anything that could be named had been done against them.
But this felt like more than an isolated incident. Without the proper information, the teachers were left to wonder: who is this hooded man? What is his goal? What is he after?
The students of Class 1-A had now gotten into their Hero Costumes and were getting ready to board a bus that would take them to the USJ as Aizawa said earlier. Unfortunately for Midoriya, because his costume had been wrecked during the Combat Training with Bakugo, it needed repairs, so he wore his gym clothes instead.
Takeo sat near a tree, where he took out Lion Saber and then a grindstone to sharpen it. The amber-colored blade with a black outline seemed impervious to damage; no matter what Takeo hit the sword against, it never showed any signs of wear. Whatever Forge used to create his sword, bow and shield were high quality and were ensured to last him for a very long time, perhaps even last longer than he did.
"Whoa, cool sword!" one of his classmates, Denki Kaminari, commented. "Where'd you get that?"
"My mentor made it for me," Takeo answered. "And no, you can't hold it." Kaminari silently whined not being able to hold Takeo's sword.
"But seriously, I've never seen a sword like that before," Kaminari commented, pointing its beautifully unique blade. "How'd he make it?"
"In truth, I don't know," Takeo answered. "His Quirk allowed him to forge weapons and items out of any material he could. He considered this, along with my bow and shield, to be his masterpieces."
"Definitely looks like one," Kaminari confirmed with a smile. "So…name's Kaminari. Denki Kaminari."
"Takeo Raionhato," Takeo reciprocated. He suddenly wished he had his book on him so he could write down Kaminari's name and Quirk so he could remember later on. If he remembered correctly, his Quirk dealt with electricity, so he'd try to remember that until he could write it down.
"Man, I'm very happy with the class we have," Kaminari commented. "I mean, look at all the cute girls we have. Any of them catch your eye?" Takeo raised an eyebrow.
"How would they catch my eye? That sounds pretty painful." Kaminari just looked at Takeo with a goofish expression of confusion.
"Do you like any of the girls?" he clarified. "Wouldn't blame you; they're all really cute."
Takeo turned his eyes away in embarrassment, but accidentally ended up looking at the Class Vice President, Yaoyorozu. He then looked away before she could see that he was looking at her. He already had Sato and Kiyama teasing him about his potential feelings for Yaoyorozu; he didn't want Kaminari to join in that teasing.
Zankoku leaned against a nearby wall as the class waited for the bus to arrive. While they were waiting, the scorpion tailed man had checked all his poisons to ensure they were all viable. Judging by how they were, he'd have to create fresh batches soon, but doubted U.A. had the ingredients he needed.
"So…" a female voice asked, belonging to the pink female, Mina Ashido. "Are those all different poisons?"
"They are," Zankoku answered with a charming smile. "Some of them I derived from insects, like the bullet ant, fire ant…they weren't easy to come by living where I did, but I found a way. Other poisons, I made on my own."
"Made?" Ashido asked. "You're a poison maker?"
"The word you're looking for is 'chemist'," Zankoku answered. "Because of my Quirk works, I needed to learn how to make poisons and such. Some I could come across from animals, but the rest, I had to make on my own."
"I thought you…well, made the poisons from your body," Ashido asked, earning a chuckle from Zankoku.
"No, I cannot produce poison on my own. I can only absorb it from existing sources; once I've absorbed it, THEN I can reproduce the poison, but I need to absorb an existing source first."
"That's so cool," Ashido complimented. "Your Quirks kind of like mine, I'd say."
Zankoku was inclined to disagree. Ashido's Quirk allowed her to secrete acid from her body while Zankoku could absorb poison into his own and reproduce it. Having watched her during the Combat Training with her teammate, Yuga Aoyama, he suspected that she knew how to use it for speed, but struggled with using it offensively. It was acid, after all.
However, he could see how their Quirks were similar: both of them had the potential to be very deadly if not used carefully. Both of them could be considered 'insect-like', especially since Ashido looked like she was part-bug with her insect-like horns and Zankoku had a scorpion tail. Though in the end, their Quirks were rather different, at least according to Zankoku. Both of them still had work to do since they had ended up losing their matches yesterday.
"So, Ashido, what do you think of our class so far?" he asked.
"Everyone seems really great, except for Bakugo," Ashido stated. "That guy…that guy's just straight up vicious, especially after what he did yesterday. I'm honestly surprised he wasn't expelled."
"Is that the common opinion?" Zankoku asked with some hints of cynicism. "Both Bakugo and Midoriya screwed up yesterday. Maybe the teachers were feeling gracious and decided to give them a second chance."
"I guess," Ashido responded reluctantly. "But did you see Todoroki's Quirk? Man, he's probably the best in our class."
Zankoku didn't share Ashido's opinion. When he saw Shoto Todoroki standing by himself, he felt nothing but contempt. In the eyes of U.A., he was practically royalty due to being the son of the #2 Hero, Endeavor. While his Ice Quirk was powerful, practically winning his match all by himself yesterday, Zankoku thought it was way too soon to determine who the 'best student' was.
Why should it be the brooding pretty boy who didn't speak to anyone and seemed very uninterested in anything or anyone? Was it just because he was considered the 'hot boy' of Class 1-A? Was it because he was the son of the Flame Hero: Endeavor? It was undoubtedly fueled by his own personal disdain for Todoroki, but he didn't think he was the 'best student' in their class.
"You okay, Zankoku?" Ashido asked.
"Hm?" he replied before smiling. "I'm fine, Pink Rose."
"Pink Rose?" Ashido repeated before smirking. "You're a charmer. I like you."
"The feeling's mutual," Shin responded.
Soon, the bus arrived and everyone climbed aboard. Takeo between Sato and Midoriya, along with Tsuyu Asui and Eijiro Kirishima.
"So, Raionhato," he heard Midoriya ask. "What exactly is your Quirk? It looks similar to Yaoyorozu's."
"Not exactly," Takeo answered. "It's called 'Inventory'. I can store items away and summon them again later, but I can only store up to a certain weight. As you probably saw during my match yesterday, if I exceed that weight, my body starts cramping up."
"Like an RPG," Midoriya deduced. "Considering that, I could see why you and Yaoyorozu would work well together."
Kiyama smirked mischievously as she sat with Yaoyorozu and Uraraka, sensing Takeo's body temperature rise a bit. She looked over at Yaoyorozu to see if there was any change in her body temperature, but there was very slight. That clearly meant she wasn't embarrassed by the situation like Takeo was.
"What about yours?" Takeo asked Midoriya. "I've never seen a Quirk like that before."
"It's similar to All Might's, if you think about it," Tsuyu brought up. "That kind of raw power is something we've only seen from All Might." Midoriya panicked a little after Tsuyu's comment.
"You told him?" All Might asked after Midoriya admitted to telling Bakugo how he got his Quirk.
"I didn't tell him I got it from you," Midoriya answered. "But…" He sighed.
"Kacchan knows I was Quirkless before I enrolled in U.A. He thinks I've been hiding it from him this whole time."
All Might could understand where Midoriya was coming from, but couldn't condone it. As Bakugo said, he intended to discover the truth and then expose Midoriya as a fraud. If Bakugo learned the truth of One For All and intended to carry out his threat of exposing Izuku Midoriya…
"Young Midoriya," All Might addressed. "Do you truly believe that if Young Bakugo learned the truth of your Quirk, he'd expose you?"
"I…I don't know, to be honest," Midoriya answered. "He's always admired you, but…me? Even though I considered my friend, he…"
For years, Bakugo had made Midoriya's life as miserable as possible. He always viewed 'Deku' as he called him as a worthless insect that he could crush underneath his foot whenever he wanted. Now that they were in the same school together, Bakugo couldn't comprehend the idea that someone he once considered worthless was now competing with him at Japan's most prestigious Hero School.
"Young Midoriya, I am not angry, but I am disappointed," All Might told him. "You cannot tell anyone else about how you got your Quirk. For your safety and the safety of the world, One For All must remain a secret. Do not tell Young Bakugo anything further. Understood?"
"With all due respect, All Might doesn't constantly break his bones whenever he uses it," Yaoyorozu spoke. "To be blunt, Midoriya, you need to learn to gain better control over your Quirk."
Zankoku silently sneered at Yaoyorozu, feeling that her criticism was condescending rather than a genuine desire to help him. He saw that she was frustrated that he became Class Rep while she was only Vice President. Was she taking the opportunity to twist the knife at Midoriya's lack of control over his Quirk?
"Well, one thing is for certain," Kirishima spoke. "If anyone has Quirks that are best suited for pros, it's Todoroki and Bakugo."
"As if," Takeo responded. "Bakugo's Quirk may be impressive, but considering he's always angrily screaming and stuff, there's no way he'd ever be popular."
"What the hell did you just say!?" Bakugo barked angrily, rising from his seat with an extremely angry expression on his face.
"Yeah, he's right," Tsuyu agreed. "Bakugo's always gets angry at every little thing."
"Watch your mouth, Frogface, before I come over there!"
"Ooh, we're so scared," Shiruku mocked. "What, do you think that just because you shout and scream all the time that we're supposed to be intimidated by you? You practically act like a toddler who throws a temper tantrum just because you don't get whatever you want." Bakugo's angry expression worsened.
Even though he wasn't chosen as Class Rep, he still expected everyone to respect him as he had always been throughout his school years. But instead of being intimidated and backing down, all they did was continue to mock him for his temper and arrogance. He was the one being ostracized now while Midoriya was the one being praised.
"What did you tell them, Deku!?" Bakugo shouted. "What are you trying to-"
"Stop blaming Midoriya for everything, you beast!" Takeo interrupted. "Do you honestly think that you can mistreat us however you want and we'd just treat you like a prince? Back off, you beast!"
"Don't tell me what to do!" Bakugo shouted.
"He's got a point, you know," Kaminari agreed. "This is only the third day and we know your personality is basically a hot steaming mess mixed with garbage."
As the teasing and mockery towards Bakugo continued, Midoriya was shocked by this sudden change. In their middle school years, whenever Bakugo acted like this, everyone would either back down or simply turn a blind eye to it. Even the teachers would do nothing because of how amazing Bakugo was, academically and athletically.
Now, his childhood bully was being mocked and teased by the class for the same reasons everyone else would've either backed down or ignored. Just as Shiruku said, he appeared as nothing more than a toddler throwing a temper tantrum because he didn't get whatever he wanted. Even though Midoriya acknowledged that Bakugo was a temperamental jerk, he thought he'd immediately become the most popular member of Class 1-A. But instead, he was becoming their most disliked classmate.
"This is becoming a vulgar conversation," Yaoyorozu spoke. "Bakugo is foul-mouthed, sure, but does Raionhato really need to degrade him as a beast? Do we all need to gang up on him like this?"
"Okay, everyone, that's enough!" Iida spoke up. "While I disagree with some of Bakugo's actions, that does not mean we should gang up on him like that. He is still our classmate and today, whatever ill feelings are felt will need to be put aside as Mr. Aizawa stated earlier."
Midoriya wasn't the only one shocked by this; Bakugo as well was confused and unsure. Kirishima said that he possessed one of the best Quirks in the class, besides Todoroki, which was common knowledge to Bakugo. He had developed his Quirk to where he felt he was an unstoppable force and an unmatched fighter. He expected everyone to fawn over him as they always did, but instead, he was met with mockery and teasing.
To him, there was only one explanation: Deku had turned the class against him. Deku said he wanted to compete against him, to no longer be the 'scared, little wimp' that Bakugo had always demeaned and mistreated. But as soon as he blamed Deku for his predicament, he was shut down by Kitty Boy, who had clearly developed a strong hatred for him.
Takeo sat down where he was and noticed a rather disappointed look from Yaoyorozu. Not angry, only disappointment from the Vice President, but it wasn't merely directed towards him. She looked at all the classmates who participated in mocking and insulting Bakugo with disappointment. They were training to become Pro Heroes and Pro Heroes couldn't engage in such behavior, even if Bakugo was very difficult to be around and prone to temper.
"That was wrong, Raionhato," Yaoyorozu spoke.
"What?" Takeo asked.
"Calling Bakugo a beast," she clarified. "I know he's difficult and temperamental, but…he's not an animal. He's a person and he deserves to be treated with respect any human does. You're better than that."
Takeo let out a quiet sigh, looking away from Yaoyorozu with some hints of regret, though that regret was more from disappointing Yaoyorozu than how he viewed Bakugo. While he understood what she said, he couldn't promise he'd stop hating Bakugo, not if he continued behaving like this.
Upon arriving and entering the USJ, the class was greeted by a person in a spacesuit. Some of them, especially Uraraka, immediately recognized her as the Space Hero: Thirteen, a famous Pro Hero who specialized in disaster relief. Uraraka was so overwhelmed with fangirl-like joy, she accidentally caused herself to start floating in the air and had to be brought down by Mezo Shoji, a tall masked student with multiple arms.
Next to her was the Snapping Turtle Hero: Razor Shell. Midoriya immediately recognized him and stated his Quirk gave him the abilities of an Alligator Snapping Turtle, including superhumans strength, dermal armor, an extremely powerful jaw, claws, and a nearly impenetrable, spiked shell.
"Welcome, Class 1-A, to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, or USJ for short," Thirteen greeted, her voice altered by her helmet. "I'm sure Eraser Head has already told you today that you will be participating in Rescue Exercises."
"Where's All Might?" Eraser Head asked. "He was supposed to meet us here."
"All Might's running behind," Thirteen answered, holding up three fingers. "He'll hopefully join us soon, but until then, Razor Shell is here to help us out."
"Hello, everyone," Razor Shell greeted. "As you can see, we have six different zones: Ruins, Landslide, Mountain, Conflagration, Flood and Downpour. Thirteen will explain how we'll proceed today."
"Thank you, Razor Shell," Thirteen replied. "But before we do, I want to say to all of you: up until now, you've used your Quirks for combat. While it is a necessity for our line of work, that doesn't mean Quirks should be alone used for destruction and violence. There will be many times when our Quirks, no matter their nature, will be used to save lives." She then looked at her right hand.
"My Quirk, Black Hole, is capable of killing. It sucks anything in front of it or near it and disintegrate it into dust. But even with that, I've used to rescue countless people during my time as a Pro Hero. When I became a teacher here, I asked Principal Nezu to develop this facility so I could do two things. The first was pass my knowledge of rescue operations on you students, so you'd be prepared for any situation. The second is to show you all how your Quirks can be used for rescuing and assistance rather than just fighting."
Everyone thought of how their Quirks could be used to rescue people rather than just fight. Some of them, like Yaoyorozu, Iida, Raionhato and Shiruku could fully understand how their Quirks could be used to help others, while others struggled, including Ashido, Kaminari, Aoyama, and Kirishima. Only Bakugo didn't bother to think of how his Quirk could be used to help others.
"I'm going to have you divided into six teams of four," Thirteen started. "You'll each have-"
Everyone saw a large black emerge in the plaza, catching everyone, including the teachers, by surprise. Razor Shell and Eraser Head looked down to see what it was, to see if it was dangerous.
"Is that a warp gate?" Razor Shell asked. "None of the faculty here have that kind of Quirk."
Their fears were proven right when villains started walking out of the warp gate by the dozens, quickly filling up the USJ Plaza. They numbered at least two hundred, with the last ones emerging being a creature of black fog and a disturbing young man with light blue hair and his face, head, arms and torso having dead hands attached. The dead hand mask obstructed the young man's sadistic smile from sight.
"Now the fun begins," he spoke. "Game on."
