"MASTER!" Wayzz shouted, grabbing Master Fu's attention. He turned around suddenly, seeing a giant, purple-filled hole that sucked up the miracle box. He leapt into the whole, with Wayzz flying in after him, as he landed in a replica of his own room. He turned to the miracle box, sighing a sigh of relief that it stood there proudly. However, Wayzz panicky flew out from behind him. "Master, quickly! We must find a new Cat Noir and Ladybug! I sense that the miraculous of the butterfly has been activated again."

Master Fu sighed, opening the miracle box and pocketing the earrings of creation and ring of destruction. Then, grabbing his cane, he stumbled out of the room.

A blonde-haired girl strolled down the street, waving at her friend across the street. Her name is Cassandra, and she's loved by everyone. Her pleasing smile attracted everyone around her.

On the other hand, a brunette walked up another street, pushing her hands into her pockets and muttering the song lyrics under her breath. Alexandra hunched over, her shyness and general scepticism of others created distance from the real world.

Two different worlds, two different lives, and yet, they somehow combine.

"Well, lookie here," Cassandra spoke, standing in front of Alexandra.

"Move," Alexandra muttered, staring at the ground.

Cassandra scoffed. "At least look me in the eyes if you wanna talk to me." Alexandra didn't budget, so Casandra lifted her chin. "There's a good girl, now what did you want to say to me?"

Alexandra slapped Cassandra's hand away. "Move."

Cassandra kindly stepped out of the way, grinning as Alexandra walked passed. Loud beeps got the pair's attention, as they both turned around to see an old man wobbling across the road and a screeching car stopping. Both girls turned to each other and sprinted into the road, with Cassandra taking the old man's hand to help him cross the street and Alexandra blocking the road, ensuring that no car would pass. As he stumbled onto the path, both girls made sure of his safety, before turning away from each other. Whilst they weren't looking, he slipped a black box in their bags.

"Thank you, ladies," Master Fu whispered, smiling as they pushed into each other while walking into their school.

As both girls walked in silence to their lockers, the students ran around them, completely ignoring Alexandra's presence, while flocking to Cassandra's side, engaging in mindless small talk. Cassandra smiled politely continuing the conversation, until she bumped into a certain green-eyed redhead.

"Hey Aibi," Cassandra greeted, signalling for a hug.

"Cassy!" Aibi greeted, pulling her in for a hug.

While this happened, Alexandra started to walk off, but Aibi pulled away on her arm, causing her to stop.

"What, you not going to say hi to your bestie, Alexi?" Aibi teased. Alexandra ripped her arm out, rubbing the red area from the tight grip on her arm.

"Hello Aibi," Alexandra greeted. "Now leave me alone." She walked off without a single thought.

"Ugh, what a weirdo, am I right?' Aibi said, causing Cassandra to giggle.

"Hey Cass," a quiet voice greets. This curly-haired brunette smiled as she approached. "Hi love," she spoke softly. A tint of blush appeared on Aibi's face.

"Hey," Cassandra grinned.

"Hi Tiara," Aibi smiled, pulling her girlfriend in for a hug. Aibi relaxed in Tiara's embrace, seemingly a little too comfortable. Cassandra smiled, rolling her eyes, and after a second, cleared her throat, signalling for the girls to separate.

They walked off, chatting as they usually do. Going to their locker as they usually do. Taking their stuff out as they usually do. Except this time, there was a hexagon box in Cassandra's bag, with red scribbles all over the top. She took out the box, not recognising it. She was about to lift the box but was interrupted by a shove. She regained her balance, seeing it was none other than Alexandra, and flipped her off. The bell went soon after, so she shoved the box in her pocket and walked off.

At the same time, Alexandra smiled at the black box she held in her hand. She recognised the scribbles on it.

At the end of the day, curiosity consumed Cassandra as she opened the box, in the isolation of her room. The flash blinded Cassandra, dropping the box to cover her eyes. As the flash disappeared, she heard a quiet voice.

"Hello, Cassandra."

Cassandra opened her eyes, saw a flying red creature. Then, she screamed. The creature blocked her ears, shouting reassuring words. As a result of the screaming, Cassandra's mum ran to her room, knocking on the door.

"Are you okay Cassy?" Cassandra's mum asked.

"I'm-" Cassandra started, but paused as Tikki shushed her. "-all good."

"Okay."

"Who are you?" Cassandra questioned. "What are you?"

"My name is Tikki, and I'm a kwami! I grant magical powers and-"

Cassandra burst out laughing. "I'm sorry, powers? I'm not five, I know those don't exist."

"See those earrings? Just put them on and say Tikki, spots on!" Tikki said, pointing at the earrings.

"I don't do earrings."

"How about a necklace?" Tikki asked as the earrings changed from a pair of earrings to a necklace. "Just pick it up and it'll transform into whatever you desire."

"Okay, what kind of trickery is this?" Cassandra asked, picking up the necklace. She examined it, as Tikki flew closer.

"See? I'm not lying," Tikki said, watching Cassandra put the necklace on. "Just the say words, and your life as you know it will change."

Meanwhile, Alexandra opened the box, staring intensely as Plagg appeared from thin air.

"Plagg!" Alexandra shouted, grabbing the ring out of the box.

"Yes…wait how did you know that?" Plagg asked, flying directly in front of her.

"Too long to explain. Plagg, claws out!"

Cassandra thought she looked ridiculous in red with black poker dots. But her mission was simple. Retrieve the miraculous of the butterfly, with the help of her partner. Her partner, whom she was going to meet.

"Hello there."

Cassandra turned around in an instant, throwing her yoyo at the figure. The figure moved her head, dodging the flying yoyo. She looked her up and down, taking in what was in front of her. She wore a black suit with green undertones, her hair pushed back with cat ears that matched her costume. Her suit stretched to her arms, bleeding into green fingertips.

She swore that the masked figure looked familiar. She knew those eyes from somewhere.

"Hey, you must be the partner my kwami told me about. I'm C-"

"Stop, don't say your actual name," the figure interrupted, moving out from the shadows. "Come up with a superhero name, like mine. I'm Kero Neko, nice to meet you."

Kero Neko stuck out her hand, inviting Cassandra to shake it. She took her hand, shaking it.

"Coccinelle. Nice to meet you too," Cassandra, or Coccinelle, replied.

"Well m'lady, care to join me?" Kero Neko said, extending her stick and leaping off to the next tower. Coccinelle looked down at her yoyo, before sighing and throwing it at the building. It wrapped around a wall, and as she pulled on it, it broke, crumbling to pieces in front of her. Kero Neko sighed.

"We've got some work to do…" she muttered, leaping back over to Coccinelle.

An hour later both superheroes were leaping from building to building, Kero Neko watching carefully as Coccinelle got used to her powers. She talked her through the whole process, transforming, secret identities and the supervillains.

"Hey Kero, wait can I call you that?" Coccinelle asked, swinging past a wall.

"Yeah, of course," Kero Neko replied, vaulting over the wall.

"Can we stop and talk? I'm confused about the whole secret identity thing," she asked, causing Kero to stop in her tracks.

"Always," she said, vaulting over to the edge of the building, inviting Coccinelle to sit by her. She took that invitation, crossing her legs and sitting to face her. "Well it's simple. Our true selves need to stay a secret, and never be revealed. If one of us were to ever get akumatised, the villain would only need to figure out that we are who we are to get to the other person. We can never risk that."

"But," Coccinelle started. "If one of us were to get akunatied, wouldn't we still lose our miracles?"

Kero snorted, before apologising. "Akumatised, and miraculous. But yes, we would. It's not so much a big deal if I lose mine compared to if you lose yours."

"That still doesn't really make sense. I thought you said we were partners?" Coccinelle asked. "Why is losing mine a bigger deal?"

"You have the power of creation. You fix everything in the end."

There was a pause, filled with silence. "That's a lot of pressure."

"I know, but you have me. We can get through this together. Partners?" Kero Neko asked, holding up her fist for a fist pump.

"Partners," Coccinelle smiled, fist-pumping her partner. Suddenly, there was a beep in Coccinelle's yoyo. She picked it up, watching half of it slide down to reveal the touch screen. On it, it showed a notification for a message from her phone. "So I'm guessing our phones connect to the miraculous?"

Kero Neko looked over the phone. "That's new. I don't know if that's gonna be good or bad."

"Well, whatever it is, it's reminding me I have to be home soon. The sun's already setting and the library closed half an hour ago," Coccinelle laughed, leaping to her feet. "Are you leaving too, Kero?"

The girl nodded, and Coccinelle extended her hand, pulling Kero Neko up to her feet.

"See you tomorrow?" Kero asked, leaning on her stick.

"You bet," Coccinelle smiled.

"Any chance I can get your number, m'lady?" Kero questioned, giving her stick to Coccinelle.

"I thought our identities were supposed to remain a secret," she laughed, typing in her number. "And what's with the m'ladys?"

"I never give my number out, so you wouldn't have it unless you're my parents." She took the stick back, turning away from her partner, but looking back to face her. "Yin and Yang, m'lady. And do me a favour, watch some episodes of Miraculous, would ya?"

And with that, she leapt away.

When Cassandra arrived home, she fell backwards onto her bed, watching as the red kwami flew in front of her.

"Hi," she whispered, looking at Tikki.

"Hi Cassandra," Tikki greeted.

"This is weird," Cassandra muttered, pocking Tikki. She flew backwards, just out of Cassandra's reach. "Are you gonna become my new best friend?"

Tikki laughed. "I think so."

Cassandra looked over at her phone, contemplating whether she should pick it up. At that moment, as if she manifested it, her phone lit up, and a silent ding filled the room. She looked at Tikki, before reaching for her phone. On there, was a message from an unknown number that read 'watch it'. She asked what she meant by Yin and Yang. The reply was 'you're Yin, i'm Yang. Watch miraculous and find out.'

She smiled, before saving her number as Yang.

At the same time, Alexandra was staring at Yin. She sat up in her bed, waiting for a reply. But when it was obvious she wasn't, she threw her phone down. Unfortunately for her, she got a message from Yin. Plagg swooped down, picked up the phone and threw it at Alexandra.

It read, 'Have you seen this?' and provided a link to a YouTube video named 'Who are they?'

Alexandra opened the link, watching the video of the two superheroes sitting down on a roof, chatting. She zoomed in on herself, seeing herself smile like she hadn't in a while with Coccinelle. Then she zoomed in on Coccinelle, feeling herself smile, hearing her laugh. Suddenly, the video switched to an old friend, Noah, who sat up straight with a microphone in his way.

"At first, I thought it was fake, but then I saw them. What are they? Costumes? Furries? Cosplayers? SUPERHEROES? I guess we will find out! Stay tuned to the Super Bug and Cat channel while we try figure who this mysterious pair are," Noah explained, moving his arms as he spoke. The screen then switched to the heroes again, before fading out.

She stared dumbfounded at the screen, unsure of what to say. She switched her screen over to messages, staring at Coccinelle's message longer, before she received another message.

"Guess we have a fan, huh?" Read the message, causing Alexandra to smile slightly.

"This is going to cause a lot of trouble for us," replied Alexandra to her message, watching as the text changed from delivered to read, and the three dots popped up.

"Great."

She knew that was sarcastic.
