I took some snacks to regain some energy and gave them to still numb Scyther, who ate them subconsciously, not knowing what it was.
I looked at Scyther, having a numb look on his face. "Man! you look dead. After meeting that villain, does it remind you of your tragic past?" I patted, comforting him.
Scyther suddenly recovered from my touch and started waving his forelegs, signing something. I understood the gesture after a while. "What!? Your family is alive and well?" I exclaimed with eyes widened.
"You left your home to increase your sword skills," I asked, somewhat disappointedly that my guess was not true.
He continued to gesture as my eyes widened in surprise. "What!? That villain mantis is a princess of the Royal Family?" I asked in disbelief. Scyther nodded again affirmatively.
"I thought insects live freely," I muttered bewilderedly. "I feel that this world is getting weirder," I muttered dumbly. Scyther smirked triumphantly and looked at my dumb face.
"Wait, a minute! What do you mean, princess? That villain is a female mantis?" I questioned Scyther flabbergast. He nodded his head solemnly and panicked at offending the Royal.
"So you saying we just offended the ruler of your species?" I asked, annoyed at what they would do to retaliate against us.
"What the hell is wrong with you insects?" I roared angrily.
"Can't you live normally? Why the hell are you following what humans do?" I yelled at Scyther, who just shrugged at that.
I calmed down and then asked, "What about other insects? Do they also have royal families?" I asked hopefully for it to be false. Scyther nodded his head, positively shattering my hope.
He signed with his forearms. I got used to this sign language so I can understand it easily. "So each insect has their own capital," I summarized.
"In which no other insect species should enter without permission," I briefed in disbelief.
"But Everyone shares this whole Island and searches for food" I glared angrily after understanding the overall circumstance here.
"So there is a real 'Insect Kingdom' On this Island?" I concluded after his explanation.
"Then why do insects follow the annoying directional bird's order?" I asked confusedly to him. He signed 'only royals know'.
"Woah! Wait a minute! How do you know sign language? Do all the insects know?" I suddenly asked to clear my doubts which I postponed asking till now.
He shook his head and signed, [Only my family and royals know since my grandpa was an adviser and communicated with humans; he taught me some] Scyther signed.
He thought for a while [Grasshoppers may also know since they have feet which are easy to sign] He signed increasing my knowledge of this world's weirdness.
I sighed, then thought for a while. "Then you should apologize to your princess," I decided to avoid their nuisance in the future.
I ignored Scyther, who was standing dumbfounded by my decision, and took my watch to update the notes. "Maybe I should add a friend list, acquaintance list," I muttered and quickly created it.
I selected the camera option. "Hey! Say cheese." I pointed at Scyther, capturing his image, and then added it to my friend list.
"Don't worry, I will add you to the friend list so I will remember you quickly," I comforted the mantis whose eyes bulged out in shock who thought, 'What friends? It is Rival,'.
Scyther shook his head in denial, pointing at my sword, then his foreleg waving around in panic. "We will spar after finding a place to stay and learn to fight," I assured the mantis, who suddenly became depressed.
As I updated halfway to 'Take Scyther to the Royals to apologize' a familiar «BEEP» sound emitted from my watch and Scyther became vigilant looking around.
"Where Am I?" I yelled, looking around before finding a Scyther. "Gaah! An alien" I shouted, pointing at Scyther scurrying away from him, who looked dumbfounded at my weird reaction.
'I think this is his memory attack.' Scyther remembered my explanation.
'I should remind him to see that weird thing on his wrist as he instructed me,' Scyther thought, and then it slowly raised its forelegs to remind me to see the watch.
"Hey! Don't move, you will die a terrible death if you do," I yelled in panic, watching it raise its foreleg.
Scyther sweated at this lame threat and slowly pointed at my watch. I calmed down after feeling no malicious threat from the mantis and followed its foreleg to see a bracelet projecting a cool hologram.
I skimmed the 'Reminder Note' to understand my situation...

» We were attacked by a group of Mantis which turned out to be Royals... Yeah, a fuckin' Royals of Mantis. The leader had the same Villain-looking face from novels... after comparing its face and Scyther's I thought...*sigh* Well; it is irrelevant now.

''Whoa! I injured Nola in the morning and he saved me?' I exclaimed at my deed, then looked at the mantis standing some distance.
'He must be very strong to save me from Nola,' I concluded, looking at Mantis in a different light.
'So a villain-looking Royal attacked us' I hummed at the details.
'And there seems to be an 'Inside Story' between that Royal and Scyther,' I concluded, looking at how 'Past me' is reluctant to explain further.
I looked solemnly at Scyther 'It must be tragic,' I deduced from his depressing face.
'Oh! I need to take Scyther to Royals to a-... what?' I looked at the half-finished word in confusion.
'From reading the previous notes it seems 'avenge',' I deduced then finished the note with 'avenge'.
"Ahem…*cough*, Ok Scyther..." I embarrassingly looked at the Mantis, thinking about my previous actions.
"That was the memory attack that 'I' probably told you about," I explained to him, scratching my head.
"So you offended the evil-looking royal family?" I asked, diverting the attention; Scyther looked speechless at my shamelessness and nodded his head helplessly.
"Ok! We don't have much time, let's go," I proposed while climbing the weird vehicle. Scyther followed, thinking, 'They will probably forgive us if we apologize, right?'.
"We should just overthrow the Royal family. There should not be a royal with an evil face," I declared as Scyther face-faulted hard on the ground.
He scrambled up and signed, [What about the apologizing you proposed earlier?] questioning me [And why is looking like a villain your main reason?] Scyther signed angrily.
"Why should you apologize to those assholes?" I retorted back angrily, 'They are the ones who need to apologize to you,' I thought in pity.
"They are the ones who attacked me first so you...*ahem*... We need to avenge for us," I declared, righteously looking at Scyther. 'Don't worry, I will help you avenge,' I thought, deciding not to open his wounds of the past.
Scyther looked shocked with a 'what have I gotten into?' expression on his face.
I ignored his expression, "Let's move before they find us," I suggested, looking at the workings of this weird sleigh.
After some tests, we started moving in one direction. "Yeah! Do centipedes also have a royal family?" I asked suddenly since 'I' did not mention it.
Scyther denied and [They do not, they will attack anyone at random and don't follow rules] Scyther signed.
"Ah! They are like bandits," I concluded, thinking about it.
"Then why the hell did it attack 'me' yesterday? That bastard," I cursed, recalling the note written by 'Past me'.
"If I see one, I'm going to kill it," I vowed angrily, and suddenly a centipede burst out from the root of the nearby tree, pouncing on us.
I swerved away quickly. "Fuck! A stupid bandit arrived. Go and kill it," I asked Scyther as I took my Light gun to shoot from a distance.
The centipede has a dent mark and some slice marks on its exoskeleton, looking angrily at Scyther and me. "Why does this 'Stupede' glaring at us?" I muttered looking at the Stupid Centipede.
"Who cares! I will cover you," I assured Scyther, and drove above, reaching a vantage point, leaving the mantis flying.
I watched from above as Stupede attacked with mandibles, tails, and its legs, as Scyther flew around it, evading its attack and slashing back occasionally. I also shot at it when Scyther is in danger.
As the fight continued longer, there were many slash marks and dents on Stupede's exoskeleton and due to Scyther dodging all its attacks by flying around, he had no injuries for now except panting slightly.
I stood away from the fight taking a potshot at Stupede leisurely, overall no one has taken serious damage yet and it has become a stalemate.
"Why does he, who fought with Nola, take so long to fight this 'Stupede'?" I looked confused at this long battle.
I repeatedly shot the Stupede mechanically, slowly getting used to this process of aim, fire, reload, and started to get bored.
"Maybe I should use a bazooka," I thought, yawning in boredom before I reacted 'I just yawned!? I'm relaxed?... Shit, I thought before a «BEEP» sound rang from my watch.
Scyther and Stupede stopped their fight and looked over at the sound source. Scyther started to panic, thinking 'Not now!'
"Where Am I?" I yelled, waving the gun in my hand and looking around; I suddenly found two large insects looking at me.
I froze, looking at them, and understood the situation. "Um…! You guys continue, I will be on my way." I waved at them. "How does this thing work?" I looked at the control of the vehicle in panic and drove away quickly, leaving the mantis behind.
Scyther watched me leave dumbfounded and turned to look at the Stupede screeching happily. 'I'm so dead,' he thought, reading to defend.
I arrived at the river quickly. "Phew! They didn't follow me." I sighed in relief, slowing the vehicle.
I quickly discovered the blinking bracelet and started reading the 'Reminder Note' as a cold sweat formed after finding that mantis photo in 'Friend's List' and reading the details..

"Holy shit! That mantis is my student," I panicked, pulling the lever of the now named 'Nimbus' to return.
"Why is there no background? It must be a tragic story," I concluded, understanding the note.
"Pitiful student, I will fill it afterward," I decided when a huge sky lamprey burst out from the river trying to eat me.
"Fuck! Everything is trying to eat me," I shouted and dodged quickly then rushed the 'Nimbus' towards the fight between that Mantis and the Centipede.
I arrived in time to see the centipede was about to strike the mantis, so I quickly activated my Burn blade and slashed hard at one of its legs, cutting it successfully. The Centipede screamed in pain, dropping the mantis.
I quickly drove the Nimbus below Scyther and caught him. "Let's get out of here," I yelled and turned away quickly, but Stupede got angry and started chasing us.
"Hey! Can you block its attack for some seconds?" I asked Scyther guiltily, who huffed angrily standing at the back to block the attack of the angry 'Stupede'.
I became anxious as the Stupede neared us, running on the milky dial as we reached the river.
I quickly saw a shadow in the river and an idea formed. "Hold on," I warned Scyther, just when a sky lamprey jumped out towards us.
I suddenly turned left and pulled the rope connecting to Burn bazooka's trigger, firing it and boosting the Nimbus away from two giant organisms.
The centipede behind me slightly got hit by the bazooka and got stunned, so Sky Lamprey caught it, but it quickly reacted and started fighting back, turning it into a brawl.
"That was pretty close," I sighed in relief, wiping the sweat from my forehead and looking at the distance fight 'Teeth vs. Legs', I wish to stay and watch it but we need to get out of here quickly.
I looked at Scyther, who was sulking at the back. "Hey! Come on, you already know I will forget randomly," I apologized to him.
"Anyway, the master returned to save you, right? So you should stop sulking now, my student," I comforted him.
'What Master? What student?' Scyther look flabbergast at this news.
"Don't worry, this master will train you so you can get revenge," I proclaimed confidently, then gave him snacks.
He looked at me and the weird-looking snacks for a while, thinking 'First a Rival, then Training Partner, a Friend, and now an apprentice, as his mind became blank.
'I should clear his misunderstanding,' he decided, then took the snacks subconsciously and ate them, then quickly conquered by their taste.
'It's so good. What was I thinking just now? It seems to be important,' Scyther tried to remember.
He looked at the snacks in front 'Who cares! Finish these first,' he discarded the thought and started savoring the snacks happily.
Our journey was easy from there, with some minor problems occurring now and then, which were solved quickly by us.
We got close to the destination since I can find the huge landmark in the distance; we stopped to eat lunch before proceeding. I found a rabbit and felt sympathy for it to live in this dangerous forest, so I gave it a painless death and cooked it, relieving it from suffering.
The trees here are sparse and we can spot many ruins around after we had our fill. We moved towards the destination silently without being noticed by anyone.
Finally, the ground changed into a cloud with many ruins scattered on it. I searched around to find a hiding place. Then chose the most intact, broken building among the ruins and hid in it.
"Well, let's stay in this place temporarily," I informed Scyther, looking around the building as a plan started forming in my head.
I quickly deduced a place where the ruins will not fall and I started cutting the clouds below using the CloudCutter and used the cut clouds to strengthen this building.
I cut it in the shape of steps so it is easily assessable. We cut for an hour, Scyther's helped not knowing why I am doing it.
After some cutting, the next cloud we currently cutting fell through. I got excited at this and returned above to the building and took the Sleigh and confused Scyther down the stairs, reaching the final gap.
I made a hole at the side of the cloud, near the bottom of the stairs, then secured a rope in it. And then I threw the rope down through the gap I cut.
I started the vehicle and drove into the hole and we started to free-fall for a moment before the milky dial started to create clouds preventing us from splattering on the ground.
I looked around excitedly, seeing the golden city of Sandora in its original beauty. "WOW!" I exclaimed, stopping the vehicle in mid-air to admire it.
Scyther looked dumbfound at the city which was below the surface. "Hahahaha, I'm the first to find the golden city," I yelled happily, looking around.
The city has buildings coated in gold and many plants and trees are growing here, making this place colorful. Huge fireflies are flying around further, making this place mesmerizing.
Four golden altars are having their roofs submerged inside the clouds positioned with the Giant Jack at their center.
I took my watch and started taking photos & videos "This will be my home for a year or two," I exclaimed landing the sleigh at the base of an altar and started roaming around the city enthusiastically.
"Woah! This place is bigger than I thought," I exclaimed, looking around. "Now I can train here all I want." I satisfyingly nodded.
Scyther looked around the city mesmerized and excitedly looked around to explore before his enthusiasm was dampened by "Scyther, this place is the start of your revenge story," my words.
I went into a building near the altar then started cleaning to use it as a house and I dismantled my awesome 'Nimbus' and then stored the bag in the building.
By the time I set up the house, it was already nighttime. Many fireflies fly here as a source of light, making this place look pretty with shiny golden buildings.
"I have a lot of things to do from tomorrow," I muttered and prepared my first dinner in this awesome place.
"Oh! I need to update the notes since the main task is over," I realized, taking the watch to edit.
"So, what to do next?" I read the notes, then understood the details.
"Train my student to get revenge," I decided, and looked at Scyther, readying to explore the city.
Then continued to look at the notes. "Make the Insect royals vanish," I added in the note.
"Find about hidden things of my body and also start to train" I finished the notes satisfyingly then slept peacefully after finishing the food, as Scyther roamed around the city.
