Chapter: Training...? Experiment...?

After he woke up from his fright, we returned to our Golden city to rest for a day. I prepared a plan to infiltrate God's land which is located in the half the height of Giant Jack.
The next day we woke up early before sunrise, got ready, and reached the giant Jack at the center of the golden city and started climbing it.
Since the Giant Jack is a huge twisted vine, there are some gaps between the twists, so I'm using this gap to climb, hidden from the guards. So I made another exit there, cutting the clouds in between two twisted vines of Giant Jack; it is difficult to find and difficult to access from outside.
We began climbing it. "They will be lethargic at dawn when they just woke up, so we will infiltrate then," I informed using my claws to climb easily. Scyther easily hid due to his color, but his whole body is stiff.
"We should be like a ninja, Infiltrate silently, retreat silently," I blurted out; obviously 'Past me' is watching videos related to ninjas. besides my body is quite suitable for ninjas or assassins.
I have placed my bet on the guard's mentality of 'who is stupid enough to infiltrate God's shrine from our defense,' and will be laid back in their defense. "We will raid and escape when they are assembling for war and God's stupid speech," I relayed to Scyther, thinking, 'Why do they give the same speech every day? Does it even raise morale by hearing the same words daily?'.
"It's been a long time since I have done rock climbing," I muttered, enjoying the climb. After an hour of climbing, we reached the ruins below God's shrine.
"Ah! This is the place Zoro fought Ohm?" I exclaimed in surprise at how different this place is from their fight. This place didn't look like an abandoned one shown in canon. Guards are roaming everywhere. 'They must use it as the guard's headquarters or something,' I guessed after observing for a while.
Scyther froze 'Gah! There are so many humans here,' in fear. To his horror, there was not a single thing in green color. His color will be conspicuous on this white background.
Even though most of the guards are lethargic, we laboriously infiltrated this place to find the armory; we hid as they are preparing for an assembly before the war.
We waited for them to move out and then found the armory; I knocked the guard guarding it and entered it. 'Huh? The humans are knock-out easily?' Scyther looked confused, not knowing about sleeping drugs.
I almost got blinded by the number of weapons stored here, even though metal is scarce in Skypiea.
We started searching before I found a weapon in the rack. It is a double-bladed weapon similar to what we are searching for, but it is like Hannyabal's weapon from Impel Down with the blade facing the opposite direction, not suiting Scyther.
Scyther called me and pointed at the weapon rack, where I found a weapon with a double-ended blade - looks like two thin double-edged swords connecting to the same handle.
[Which one?] Scyther asked, pointing at them. There is also another similar weapon, but with shorter blades.
"Take both of them; we need to test them," I proposed. "What if you cut off your wings?" I pointed out, picking the shorter one. Scyther shivered, looking at his wings.
"What are you spacing for? Quickly pick it up," I urged Scyther. Smacking him with the weapon, he quickly picked it up. We tied the knocked-out guards, placed them inside the armory, and locked it.
We made our way toward Gian Jack to escape. As I turned a corner, I came face to face with Pierre. It got flustered but I caught its beak before it could scream and we dragged it to a hidden place.
"Why are you here? Away from Gan Fall?" I questioned the bird, quickly identifying it as Pierre; Scyther put his forelegs on its neck.
"If you make a sound, we will barbeque you," I threatened it.
"I have not even eaten a barbeque for a long while," I grinned at Pierre, who looked with a betrayed expression.
'Why does it look like that? Did 'I' know it personally?' I looked confused before discarding the useless thoughts and thinking of a plan.
"Hmm, I will let you go if you bring us to the treasury in God's Shrine," I suggested pointing upwards, Pierre looked ready to refuse "All the alcohol inside it will be yours," I incited as my intuition suggest bribing it with alcohol.
"You can drink all of it and blame it on us, so you won't get caught," I instigate the bird, smiling calmly. Scyther shivered, looking at my smile.
After some brainwashing, Pierre agreed and flew me to the treasury in God's shrine with Scyther following us; we strode in openly as the guards didn't stop us, except glancing curiously at Scyther, who is following us stiffly in fear.
Due to being escorted by Pierre and combined with their over-confident in their security, we successfully reached the treasury. I got down from my hiding place -Pierre, and threw a small ball cloud containing sleeping gas, knocking the guards, and entered the treasury with the key brought by Pierre.
Most of the things in the treasury are from the Blue Sea. I saw some metal items, books, Sea king leather, etc. I looted the sea king's leather, some metals, sea stones, and some dials.
As I was packing the loot, I spotted a weird dial. "What's this?" I observed it and pressed its apex, which didn't budge an inch. "What the...?" I confusedly looked at it before I feel something slippery on my hand.
"Agh!" I look surprised, before chuckling at the thing that came out of the shell.
"Hehe, what do we have here?" I grinned at Transponder Snail.
"I can do many things with it," I muttered, searching for its receiver and dialing mechanism.
'I can try to contact it using my watch to see if it works,' I experimented, before finding two more transponder snails. I finished packing them up, ready to get out of there.
I saw Pierre drinking alcohol from a barrel, which Scyther tried, liked it, and joined the bird. I smacked Pierre. "Fly me out of here," I menacingly ordered.
"I know this is not the true treasury," I pointed out as the bird gulped nervously; I glared at Scyther, who reluctantly put down the booze.
Pierre flew me out with Scyther flying behind us, Pierre returned quickly after dropping me off, "He is going to get caught like this," I opined, picking the sack.
"We should leave before they find things are missing," I suggested as Scyther nodded drunkenly and flew away, not afraid of being spotted by humans. We circled around, returning to our home secretly.
I got a huge haul from that raid. The amazing things I got are Rare Dials; like three Eisen Dials, five Thunder Dials, Jet dials, Ball dials, etc. "I wish there was a reject dial," I muttered disappointedly; if someone heard it, they will probably kill me in jealousy.
I updated the note and started experimenting with the Dials. After experimenting with Eison Dial, I had a spark of inspiration. I became excited thinking about its use. A «BEEP» sounded before I could note it down.
"Where Am I?" I asked, looking surprised at the golden buildings around me before finding a hologram hovering from my wrist.

I calmed down after reading the reminder note. "Oi! Scyther, try both the weapons and see which suits you," I advised, moving all the goods to a safe place.
"Get used to it quickly because we are going to try new things," I grinned maliciously, looking forward to it.
-o-
It took Scyther two days to get used to the weapon. He chose the small one since it was easy to maneuver in the forest. I also tried it but it is too big for me and I can't customize it to my size, like my spear and staff.
"Even though you got used to a weapon now, you won't know for sure until you fight," I pointed to Scyther. [I know, I will get used to it] he signed nodding his head in understanding.
"Are you ready Now? for my expe… New training?" I asked excitedly, with a gleam in my eyes. Scyther paled in fright, looking at my expression and combining it with my slip of the tongue.
[Didn't you try to say experiment?] Scyther signed desperately. 'Shit! I normally know what he says; I can't understand the hard words,' he lamented.
"What do you mean?" I denied acting clueless. "You are an insect. Where do you learn such silly words? There is no such word in a dictionary," I replied in fake confusion.
"If you want? I can teach you," I advised him with a kind smile.
'Like hell, I will ask you,' Scyther thought and planned to learn the human language quickly. 'I shouldn't have slacked off during grandpa's teaching,' he regretted.
"What I'm going to train you is about Haki," I revealed solemnly. Scyther listened attentively after listening to my seriousness.
"It is a mysterious power used to utilize our will for various purposes," I explained to Scyther about Haki with little knowledge I have about it.
"All living beings in the world can learn Haki; however, most people do not notice it or fail to awaken it," I continued. "So I'm going to test whether an insect can awaken it," I explained to him.
'There are even mysterious powers in this world? Is this why the humans are stronger?' Scyther nodded in understanding, resolving to be the first insect to learn about it, not realizing how much his mentality had changed.
"Well, there are three types of Haki; Observation Haki - Presence, Armament Haki - Fighting Spirit, and Conqueror's Haki–Intimidation," I explained, extending three fingers.
"The Observation Haki will allow you to find the presence of others even with your eyes closed," I explained further as Scyther nodded.
"Armament Haki will coat your body with armor; it will allow you to hit logia types," I explained seriously.
"But..." I stopped, and he leaned in to listen, what I'm going to say "I don't know how to train it," I finished, Scyther face faulted.
I ignored him "Lastly, Conqueror Haki, which is rare and only some people have it," I revealed, looking at Scyther in disdain. "You are only an insect, so you won't have it," I despised him.
[What? do you look down on insects? asshole] Scyther screeched angrily, and I admitted truthfully.
[Yeah, and to whom did you lose your claws?] Scyther mocked, Even though I forgot who did it, I became annoyed.
"Hum! I thought of starting your training slowly, but I discarded it." I shook my head, sighing heavily. Scyther paled after hearing this "Someone's body is itching," I muttered leaving behind a despaired insect.
Scyther dragged his body unwillingly after I finished my set up "The guards are still searching for the thieves so we better stay here for some days before setting out," I informed Scyther, giving a finishing touch-up to my setup.
"Here, use it to cover your eyes and stand in the circle," I instructed, throwing a cloth at him, and pointing at the circle. How he is going to tie it? I won't bother thinking about it.
Scyther looked at the setup around the circle and paled [What the hell is this?] he signed in panic and finally used a curse word other than 'asshole'. or 'stupid'.
"Well, it is to help you with training observation, Haki," I grinned, looking at the setup.
The setup looks ordinary, with many stones of varying sizes hanging from the strings. The strings are created from Eisen Dial using which I can control to change the length of the string, direction of its movement, etc., moving the stones at random.
"The dials are easy to manipulate," I mused, holding an Eisen Dial, Haa… 'Past me' suffering is not in vain.
"Ugh! This dial is difficult to precisely control. Maybe after using it regularly, I can be proficient." I frowned, concentrating on creating a string.
"What are you gaping at? Get inside it," I yelled at the shell-shocked Scyther.
After he stood inside the circle "Well try to dodge these," I shouted and manipulated the dial to move the strings, hitting him with the stones, starting Scyther's next round of torture training.
-o-
It's been a week, and I got frustrated as there is no progress from Scyther, even though I know it is difficult to learn Haki but I somehow feel that I'm missing something.
The only good thing is I can control the Eisen dial easily. I have formed a dome-shaped structure using Eisen cloud; Scyther is inside it as I manipulate clouds to manifest in different shapes and attack him.
I can watch him through a window made of a mesh of strings. I used two Eisen dials to form this structure, which is very tiring to concentrate on.
"Did I do anything wrong?" I whispered, staring intently at the beaten-up Scyther. He reacts to some attacks, but it's his natural reaction, not Haki's. As I continued to observe him, I suddenly reacted and facepalmed at my idiocy.
I quickly switched off the Dial. "You can take rest now," I informed Scyther, looking guilty; Scyther also looked frustrated at failing to even dodge one attack.
[It looks like I can't even dodge one] Scyther signed depressed. [I thought I can be the first insect to learn this Haki thingy, even God looks down on us] Scyther sighed feeling negative.
"Don't be an idiot! Haki can't be felt in one or two days," I comforted him.
"Besides, I think it's my fault," I confessed, looking away guiltily.
[What do you mean?] Scyther signed, squinting doubtfully.
"Ah! Well... It's… just" I stuttered, playing with my fingers nervously.
"You promise not to get angry?" I asked him.
Scyther nodded, grinding his teeth. 'I don't know why, but I feel like I'm going to be extremely angry after hearing it,' he thought.
"As I explained before observation, Haki is to sense the presence of living things," I stated nervously.
"So if an attack is indirect, then it won't work. So…" I explained, looking flustered.
[But you have been beating me up indirectly for a week] Scyther finished heavily as murderous air originating from him.
[So I got beaten for nothing] he signed calmly.
"Who said it was for nothing it...?" I retorted. "It increased your endurance and reflex," I pointed, not even believe it myself.
"Besides, I learned more about Eisen Dial because I got so excited about this Dial, I forgot about the important things," I revealed the reason.
"Sorry about that," I apologized.
"Ha... Haha… haha" I laughed awkwardly as the murderous aura increased from Scyther.
Scyther also started laughing with me starting with a chuckle "skri..." then full-blown laughter "SKRISKRIKRIRI..." before he laughed maniacally ".͞.҉̛́S.̸̸̡̕?̶̀͞͞͠K.̵͘.̸̸̡̕?̶̀͞͞͠K t̛͘͠͝RR.̶͟I.̸̸̡̕?̶̀͞͞͠ S.͏̴͘҉.̢̕͝K.̸̸̡̕K?̶̀͞͞͠R.͞.҉̛́R.̵͘I.͞.҉̛́I.̵͘.̸̸̡̕?̶̀͞͞͠ .҉̛́S.͞.҉̛́S.̵͘ì̴̡S.̵͘K.͞.҉̛́K.̵͘ì̴̡K.͏̴͘҉.̢̕͝R.̸̸̡̕?̶̀͞͞͠R.̸̸̡̕I?̶̀͞͞͠I".
"Holy shit, I think I broke him." I paled in panic and started running away.
