Chapter: A Rain of...?

I panicked as the island neared. "shit… shit... shit... I not going to die before reaching the blue sea," I cursed frantically and pressed the button on the backpack to transform into the glider.

I spread my wings to reduce the speed and placed the huge ball cloud with luggage below me to cushion the fall. By the time the glider was formed, I'm already crashing into the trees of the forest.

The big ball cloud below me began to burst one by one and shrunk in size. The glider's wings got caught in the trees and became out of shape.

The momentum is reduced slightly due to the glider getting stuck, but the luggage ball got swept away, so I took the full brunt of the fall.

*creak* *crack* *click* I crossed my hands in front to protect myself from the branches. I activated the Electro to stimulate my nerve and increase my reflex. I twisted my body to avoid big branches on my way and *boom* *thud* crashed heavily on the ground at last.

I rolled, as soon as my feet touched the ground, to kill the momentum of the fall, and reduce the impact using the Impact dial on my suit, but it is still too much for my body.

I lay on the ground breathing heavily, staring at the dark sky through the gap I made in the forest's canopy.

"*Huff* *huff* *ha* Where the hell *cough* did this island come from, *OW*?" I grumbled before grimacing in pain from all over my body.

"Idiots! Look where you parked this island?" I cursed childishly.

"Think about people jumping from the clouds, GAAA!" I complained before recoiling in pain.

I caught my breath for a while, then removed my goggles and my mask and saw my swollen and bruised hands.

"Damn it…" I hissed, looking at my hands, then checked them. "At least it is not broken," I sighed in relief.

I slowly sat up before an intense pain radiating from my legs. "ARGH! What the...?" I yelled in pain, then looked at my crooked legs.

I stared at it for a while. "That IS definitely broken," I stammered, looking at the legs.

I removed my dress with great difficulty to treat my injuries. "Where the hell are my bags?" I searched around using a lamp dial to find broken branches & leaves, and my scattered luggage was among them after breaking out of ball clouds. I sighed, looking at the area.

I found the glider stuck in the tree; I brought it down using the Eisen cloud and opened the medicine compartment from one of its wings. It moved the compartment here after the backpack transforms into Glider.

"It's going to sting like hell," I grumbled, taking different water dials marked with various medicines.

Then I cleaned my wounds and dressed them. I used some branches as a splint for my legs, since I can't use my hands, I controlled the Eisen dial to do these things.

After bandaging myself, I felt a sudden pain in my back. I turned only to see my battered wings. "WHAT!? How should I treat this thing?" I shouted in panic, then operated my watch, which surprisingly fit my swollen hand.

I look at the file where 'Past me' stored data about the wings while experimenting with Bio-Feedback and found ways to treat injured birds.

"If anyone wants to treat me, they need knowledge of treating birds, animals, and fishes," I complained. I grimaced in pain while securing my wings in a splint with the help of Eisen Dial.

I looked around the forest, "Hmm...! I'm staying here more than an hour but nothing approached here," I examined the surroundings vigilantly for traces of animals or Humans.

"And it's dead silent," I noted. "Not even an insect sound," I added vigilantly, searching around using a lamp dial to find anything.

"Is this ghost island" I whispered, noting the eerie silence of the forest, except for my breathing sound I can't hear anything.

I ignored the uncomfortable feeling and "Let's search after sunrises," I yawned in the tiredness of my body and made a dome around me with Eisen clouds to rest in it.

-o-

After the sky brightened, I woke up in a trance, looking around. "Where Am I?" I muttered and looked at my body due to the pain I felt.

"Huh...? Don't I have STML (Short Term Memory Loss)?" I exclaimed in surprise.

"But I remember everything that happened yesterday," I cried, removing the dome and looking at the surroundings.

"Everything is the same as I remembered," I shouted, looking around the area.

"Is this an awesome Island that can cure my amnesia?" I wondered, standing up.

"Ow! ow! Shit," I grumbled, feeling pain all over my body so I made a wheelchair out of Eisen cloud; with spider-like legs instead of wheels.

I sat on it and controlled the dial to manipulate the legs to move around the rugged terrain to scout the surroundings and confirmed that there was no danger around. I then gathered all my scattered baggage in one place.

"Hmm..., let's hide the gold, clothes, and some food here," I decided, taking the food for a month along with me and hiding the other things properly.

I also left my portable vehicle backpack since it was damaged during the fall. I have a big travel bag full of medical supplies, food, and Dials; the bag is stored behind the wheel...Er-...Crawlchair.

I controlled the Dial to crawl the chair toward the only mountain present at the center of the island. "WHAT!? Where is Skypiea?" I exclaimed in alarm after finding it missing above.

"I clearly didn't fall for too long for the Skypiea to completely disappear," I recalled the shortfall.

"Then this island is moving," I deduced at last.

"Whoever is driving this, don't let me get my hands on you," I gritted in anger for bringing this island on my path.

I ate food on my way to the mountain, then re-examined my injuries and sighed at the amount of damage my body has taken from the fall. "What a weird forest," I mumbled, looking around at the different types of trees and plants.

I reached near the mountain after a while of roaming around; the area around the mountain is surprisingly a grassland with sparse trees. "Why does this mountain look like a sphere?" I gawked at it.

"Is this place really artificial?" I recalled the perfect circular shape of the Island while falling.

I surveyed the mountain before I found a cave. The cave is a perfect semicircle in shape. "Don't bother, don't look," I restrained myself from entering it and continued to crawl along the mountain and I found another similar cave.

I inspected the entrance of the cave. "As expected, it looks artificial," I deduced and peered inside the cave for any details.

I quickly thought of something, then I crawled away from the mountain into the plain facing the cave. After I got both the cave in my sight, I looked at the entire mountain. "Ah! It looks like a skull" I gasped at the mountain in the shape of the half-buried skull; Not noticing the ground I'm standing on changed from grass to rubble.

I crawled back to get a clear, full view of the skull, oblivious to the ruins that appeared around. "I need to go high ground to confirm whether it is a skull," I exclaimed in excitement and rushed towards a mound.

"It's time for my boring Logbook to have something exciting," I announced. I removed the watch, stretched it to show a blue holographic screen, and idiotically wore it over my eye like a sunglass.

"Wow! It fits perfectly. I only tried on impulse," I gasped in excitement as the display appeared in front of my eyes.

"Er- it's distracting, other than fighting it can be used other times," I analyzed, then started to record videos.

"There is nothing alive on this island, so I need to pass time until my injury recovers," I pondered, looking at the skull.

"I will explore this island before entering the suspicious eye of the skull," I decided, moving my Crawlchair around.

I finally noticed the ruin all around me. "Shit! I didn't notice the change in my environment in my excitement." I scolded myself for my negligence.

"What is this place, anyway?" I examined the ruins around me standing on top of the mound.

"Oh! Then this is an altar," I deduced and looked at the ground by feet, which has many designs on it. I went to the center of the altar and found a circular clock design on it.

"Why a Clock? Other than being useful as a trapdoor, it's of no use on the altar." I scoffed at the useless design moving to the center of the clock.

I snickered, looking around the altar, which looks like an altar where they request wishes from God in movies. "O! Great noble stupid God, give me a chance to kick your ass," I prayed shamelessly from the altar.

Suddenly I heard a clicking sound only for the clock to vanish below me and I dropped into the abyss.

"AAHHHH! This is really a trapdoor," I screamed.

"Go and die, you stupid god," I screamed, submerged in darkness.

-o-

*groan* "Ugh!" I regained consciousness after a while, and I blinked in surprise. "It is surprising, I didn't get a memory attack again," I muttered lying on the cloud of my Crawlchair, which protected me from the fall.

I looked around the area to find the bottom half of the skull in the distance. I can see the lower half of the eyehole, a triangular gap in the place of the nose, and below it can't be viewed since there is an elevated structure in the middle blocking the view.

"Huh! The underground of this island is hollow," I exclaimed; I can find roots of trees covering the roof of this place and the hole I fell from is no longer present.

"Is the distance between me and the skull increased?" I wondered, recalling the distance between the skull and the altar in the ruins from which I fell down.

"Why am I dropped here?" I huffed angrily at the ceiling. 'Is it because of cursing God? No way,' I thought and slowly re-created the Crawlchair.

I crawled and found that I'm standing in a raised place and a path was leading me down toward the elevated structure in between the skull and me.

There are many huge pillars supporting the underground. I had an odd feeling after observing it. "I feel like I'm in treasure hunting," I grumbled in annoyance.

"I don't want to go treasure hunting in this state," I seethed, glimpsing at my battered body.

I sat properly in my Crawlchair, checking the things available to me. "I only have some food, medical supplies, Impact Dials from my suit, water dial, flame dial, flavor dial," I complained.

I checked the bags on my belt, to find a lamp dial, water Dial, Flame Dial, and finally the Eisen Dial I'm using as the Crawlchair.

"What should I do now?" I wondered, observing the terrain, and smirked. "I could just fly over it…" I figured, "If only my wings are useable and my vehicle backpack is here," I despaired at the current situation.

I laid down all the things I have in front of me, to make a plan, "Hmm...! I could use a ball cloud to float around…. then use an Eisen cloud to make a platform to stand over it… Argh! but I don't have a Jet dial or Breathe dial for acceleration," I grumbled in frustration.

"Oh…!" I looked at the remaining dials.

"Hehehe, I can use flavor dial and flame dial to make something similar to burn bazooka." I grinned at the idea and started making a crude vehicle.

I looked at the vehicle, which was in the form of a hover car floating with the help of four-ball clouds. I stood nearby with the support of the spear since Eisen Dial was used to make this vehicle.

"Let's see if it works?" I muttered, getting on it. I controlled the Eisen cloud to form wings and control it to change direction.

I turned on the crude burn bazooka made from flavor dial and flame dial, pushing the vehicle forward.

I flew away from the raised place where I stood and followed along the only path that leads to the elevated structure which has a cave at the end of the path.

"Why the hell would I enter it? If I can go over it," I muttered, peering at the cave leads further down.

"If I go further down, won't I fall off the island?" I protested after observing the cave. I controlled the vehicle to fly above the elevated mound structure containing the cave.

As I flew above the mound and was about to cross it, *t'chi* *thunk* I felt something hit the vehicle, startling me. I turned to find an arrowhead only some inches from me being stopped by the cloud of mesh wires replacing the windows.

My eyes bulged wide. "Holy shit! I nearly died!" I cried in panic as cold sweat formed on my forehead. I controlled the Eisen dial to strengthen the clouds on the windows and windshield *thunk**clang**clink**swish* before getting attacked by more arrows.

"What the hell? It feels like being shot from a gun," I exclaimed at the power of the arrow.

I controlled the vehicle to dodge the incoming arrows as much as I can, but it still got hit due to the speed of the arrow. *PUFF* "Shit!" I cursed as one of the ball clouds keeping the vehicle afloat burst, which made the vehicle off-balance.

I tried to control the vehicle but as if finding the vehicle's weakness; the arrow started to aim at ball clouds, increasing the burden on me.

I was in full concentration, dodging the arrows, but they suddenly stopped firing. "What happened…?" I blinked in confusion and began to reinforce the vehicle.

*thwish* *whooosh* *swish* *swish* *swish* *swish* Then I heard the sound of wind splitting to see a thousand arrows flying towards me. "Sonnova…" I cursed, firing the Burn bazooka, and then reinforced the windows and front with the Iron cloud.

*thunk* *trunk* *thud* *swish* *swish* got hit by the arrows from all directions, some bounced off, some started denting it, some struck in small gaps, and some burst the ball clouds which made the vehicle off control in this rain off arrows.

The vehicle spiraled off control and is descending rapidly. I quickly formed clouds to protect myself from the crash. "My legs are already bust, I don't want to get any more injured," I screamed in fright as the vehicle hit the ground *BOOM* *CRASH*.
