Chapter: Grim Reaper...?

After climbing the ship, I made eye contact with the eye socket of Brook and screamed in fright.

I let go of my hand and fell into the sea. 'Fuck! What is Brook doing here?' I cursed and swam to the other side of the ship and peeked out of it.

"Did I transmigrate to the One Piece world?" I muttered and found the blinking bracelet-like thing on my wrist.

I touched it as it projected the 'Reminder Note' on my forearm, and I understood my situation from it. "Shit! It seems there are some of my things still on that ship," I cursed, opening the watch to pinpoint the location of the earpiece.

I waited for a while without getting any response from the watch. "If Brook is here, then this is Florian Triangle? How can I find that ship?" I despaired at the thought.

'So? What should I do now?' I wondered. 'Meet with Brook? Then I will not leave him and take him out of here for sure,' I concluded, recalling Brook's loneliness.

'But it will disrupt the Canon so he won't be able to join the Straw Hats,' I conflicted with my decision. Not knowing that I had already disrupted the Canon in Skypiea.

"First meet him, then decide later," I decided, then thought of how to meet with one of the main characters. I grinned mischievously as a plan started forming in my head.

I sneaked onboard and then hid my bag in it before taking something from it. I saw Brook looking down at the sea from where I first climbed. Then I played ominous music and flew over the ship with my wings lit on fire, looking intimidating.

Brook heard me and finally spotted me with flaming wings approaching him, looking like a Devil and becoming rock-still as his body froze in fear.

"Who woke me from the slumber?" I rumbled, glancing at Brook.

Brook shook his head like a rattle. "No, I didn't," he stuttered in fear.

"Do you know who I Am? How dare you disturb me?" I demanded as Electro ran across my body, looking ominous.

"I'm Davy Jones, known as sailors' devil, the evil god of the sea," I boomed as Brook went pale- well, he doesn't have skin.

"And my job is to ferry souls to the underworld," I declared as Brook was petrified on-the-spot hearing this.

"Oh! A soul possessing a dead body," I commented after spotting the petrified Brook and acted as if I found something interesting.

"Oh! Then I will take you to the underworld," I remarked, landing on the deck.

"NOOO! Don't," Brook screamed back-pedaling away from me.

"Stay away, I don't want to," He screamed as tears rolled down his eye socket.

"Don't rebel and get out of that body," I demanded.

"No! This is my body," Brook protested. "I'm Dead Bones! Brook!" he introduced himself bravely, but he is standing on the other end of the ship, increasing the distance.

"Hmm! It seems I need to teach you a lesson," I muttered, taking a rope from somewhere.

"Don't come near," Brook wailed, ready to bolt, but I activated Electro and tied Brook, and hung him from the mast as he swung in it.

"Oh! I got caught," Brook cried in shock after finding out his situation.

"Jones-san, I'm dead yet alive," Brook pleaded, thrashing around swinging from the rope.

"I'm like this because of Devil Fruit," he reasoned. I slightly felt sorry but since I started it I should finish it, I snickered 'It may also be helpful for him,' thoughtfully.

"Shut up! I am the devil. When did I have fruit?" I snapped. "And come out of the body," I yelled at him.

"NOO! I won't, even if you kill me. Oh! But I'm already dead," Brook declined.

"Besides, I don't know how to do it," he stated calmly.

"YOU! How did you enter this body? How dare you lie?" I accused, reminding him of his soul form while he roamed the sea for a year.

"Yohohoho, I forgot to do it," Brook replied cheerfully.

"Besides, Jones-san, isn't this your job to extract souls?" Brook questioned calmly, swinging from the rope without any of his previous fear.

"Why you…?" I stabbed him with the thing I took from the bag.

"Yohoho! It's ticklish but I don't… haaaavvee… sskkkiinn…" he slackened, swinging from the rope weakly.

"Whaaaatt iiissss thissss?" he blubbered weakly.

"Hehehe! I'm the devil, so I'm taking my power back," I grinned evilly, touching him with seastone as Brook stiffened.

"Now, are you leaving this body or not?" I glared at Brook, who shook his head in refusal.

I smiled peacefully, then placed spikes made of paper below him. "These spikes can ignore your power. I made them with sea stones," I lied, pointing at the spikes, which are similar to a sea stone's color.

Brook tilted his head in confusion. "Why are you placing it below me?" he questioned in fear, looking at them below him.

"Hee, When I cut the ropes and these spikes will pierce you," I explained.

"Noo! Don't! I will die for real," Brook screamed in horror.

"You are already dead," I pointed out. "Now die again," I declared as Brook wriggled, swinging the rope as I placed my claws on the rope to cut it.

"Don't! Nooooo!" Brook screamed as I cut the rope he fell on the spikes screaming.

"Nooooo!" He continued to yell and remained motionless after hitting the spikes.

"Noooo, I'm dead," I saw the yellowish-green soul of Brook wailing, floating above his body.

'Oh! He learned his soul form due to fear.' I nodded my head at my success.

"Shut Up! You are annoying," I yelled at the soul.

"Aren't you inconsiderate? Look, I'm dead," He shouted angrily.

"Then how are you talking?" I pointed out.

"What do you… hmm! I'm alive?" Brook yelled in surprise, flying around his body.

"Yohohoho! I'm dead but alive~" Brook sang cheerfully. I watched deadpan at the change in his emotions.

"Have you enjoyed yourself? It's time to return to the underworld," I reminded as Brook's soul froze wide eyes.

"NOOOOO! I won't come," he cried with a tear-filled face… er… soul rushing to my front. «BZZT» the watch as I blanked for a moment before my pupil glowed slightly pink, and then I blinked to see a ghost in front of me.

"AAaaaaaaHH!" I screamed. "Gyaaaaaa!" Brook screamed along as I black-flipped and hid behind the mast.

'What the hell? Where Am I?' I sweated in panic. 'Is that a ghost?' countless questions appeared in my mind.

"Yohoho, you are hiding backward," Brook reminded.

'What! Backward?' I wondered and found myself hiding with only my head, as other parts were visible.

'Shit! Why am I hiding in Chopper's style?' I cursed, adjusting my posture.

"You ghost! What do you want?" I asked.

"Whaaat!? G-g-ghost? Where?" It yelled in a panic, looking around in frantic.

"It's you, asshole," I yelled, annoyed.

"Me?" it asked, emerging through the mast in front of me.

"It seems I'm a ghost," it commented in awe. I punched it in reflex, but my hand passed through it.

I backed quickly to find the ghost was somehow familiar, Then I realized 'Isn't this Brook in soul form?' and confirmed it after finding Brook's tied-up body.

'So I'm in One piece world, but what I'm doing with Brook? And he already learned soul form." I looked confused.

"Who are you?" I shot a series of questions as Brook looked dumbfounded.

"Yohohoho! I'm 'Dead Bones Brook!' A pleasure to meet you," Brook's soul introduced. "And you said you are Davy Jones…." Brook explained happily since it's been a long time since he spoke to anyone.

After hearing his explanation, I understood everything 'it seems 'I' was messing with Brook and made him realize his soul form,' I smirked, then looked at Brook mischievously.

"So you want to go to the underworld?" I asked Brook as he stiffened.

"NOO! I don't want to," he yelled, moving away from me.

"Eh eh eh! I'm kidding" I laughed, waving my hands.

"I was just messing with you. I'm not Davy Jones," I revealed as Brook sighed in relief.

"You are strong right, then why did you let yourself get caught?" I asked in doubt.

Brook floated silently for a while. "I don't know! I somehow know you are not hostile and felt like I knew you for many years," Brook replied thoughtfully.

'Why did he feel like that?' my pink dominant eyes widen in confusion. "Besides, I have not met any living beings for the past forty years," he revealed sadly.

'Forty years? Not Fifty?' I noted.

"So I didn't want to scare you, even though you are a Devil," Brook stated as I nodded.

"I am a HUMAN asshole," I yelled after realizing what he said. "Yohohoho! You are funny," he laughed, rotating in the air.

"Why you? Get back into your body before I break it," I threatened angrily.

I watch Brook returning to his body, and popping out, in… out… in… out, and started playing. Ignoring him, I operated the watch and read the 'Reminder Note,' and learned everything.

'The Hell! I will read the Logbook later to understand what happened,' I thought after reading these incomplete Notes.

'So now is the year 1511, eleven years till Luffy meets Brook,' I concluded.

"Get me out of these ropes; it is stopping my blood flow. Ah! But I don't have blood, yohohoho," Brook yelled, rolling on the deck tied up. I digested all the information, then released Brook from the ropes.

"Excuse me, gentleman," Brook sprung to his toes cheerfully. "Are you real? Or am I hallucinating again?" Brook asked with a tinge of nervousness in his voice.

"I'm real," I ensured.

"Yohohoho! Really?" Brook laughed happily.

"Then let me introduce myself properly. I'm Dead Bones Brook, acting captain of Rumbar Pirates," Brook introduced himself again.

"Oh! Hello, I'm… Grim Reaper," I introduced myself with a new name I just came up with.

Brook looked speechless at my name. "Did you just come up with that name?" Brook asked quietly.

"Yeah, I don't remember my name since I have Short-Term Memory Loss," I revealed and explained about STML as he looked shocked at hearing it.

"Yohoho, I'm very happy today," Brook laughed cheerfully.

"It's been so long since I have spoken to anyone," he explained.

"I couldn't tell the difference between today and tomorrow. I've been really lonely that I thought of dying," Brook finished. Even though I know everything, I felt sorry for him.

"That's why today is a wonderful day, Yohohoho" Brook spun around the deck happily.

"What are you doing on the ship? Why are you a skeleton?" I questioned, to avoid doubt.

Then Brook explained his past of how he was a pirate, then got attacked and died before reviving due to Devil Fruit. And how he lost and found his decayed body.

He also explained about Laboon and his promise to it. I listened to everything silently, examining Brook. At least I met him now or he will only meet another person in six or eleven years. 'Moria or Straw Hats' I thought.

"So, what are you going to do now?" I asked him, Brook blinked… I think…

"What do you mean? Grim-san," Brook asked confusedly.

I felt weird hearing that name. "Did you become an idiot since you don't have a brain?" I yelled at him.

"Yohohoho, But I have an Afro," Brook gushed patting his afro.

"How is it relevant?" I shouted angrily as the pink in my iris slightly reduced. I calmed down. "Since I'm here, you can leave this ship," I proclaimed proudly as Brook stood there jaw-slacked.

"Really! Yohoho, my heart feels so warm even though I don't have one," Brook laughed happily.

"Grim-san, before that, where did you come from? How did you arrive here?" He asked as I blinked.

"Oh! I came from the sky," I revealed, pointing upwards.

"Whaaat!? So you are really a Devil?" Brook yelled, pointing at me.

"I'm a HUMAN asshole," I yelled angrily as my iris was back to shades of pink.

"Yohohoho, then I'm not dead," Brook retorted, looking at my body.

"You will pay for it," I warned, then introduce myself.

"It's like this like this," I recalled to him.

"What do you mean 'like this, like this? How do I know what 'this' is?" Brook yelled, annoyed.

"Now you know what annoying is?" I retorted and began explaining the things I read from 'My Short History' from 'Reminder Note,'

"I'm from Skypiea, a sky Island," I explained to him about it and how I arrived.

"What! You jumped from 10000m height?" Brook yelled in shock.

"If it was me, I would scream my lungs out, but I don't have lungs, Yohohoho," Brook stated.

"You are very brave, Grim-san," Brook praised me.

"Shut up! I won't be happy if you compliment me, asshole." I blushed just a step away from dancing weirdly.

'What is happening to me? Why am I acting like Chopper?' I thought, confused.

"Yohohoho, you are funny, Grim-san," Brook laughed. "Grim-san… Grim-san, are you alright? You don't look good," Brook asked worriedly after seeing my expression.

"Oh! it's nothing, I'm thinking something," I waved dismissively. "Are you sure you have not seen me before?" I asked, to clear my doubt.

"I have not seen you before," Brook replied, knowing the reason for my doubt.

"But I somehow felt trusted enough in allowing you to take care of my body even though I'm all but bones, yohohoho," Brook explained, confusing me further.

'What the hell? I will get the answer if I read the Logbook,' I decided, putting away my thoughts.

"But after seeing you placing sea stone spikes scared the soul out of me… literally, Yohohoho," Brook laughed cheerfully.

"The hell I need your bones for," I cursed, and then I ignored Brook's stare and searched around the ship, finding my bags with Brook trailing me.

I dropped the bags, then opened the travel bag, taking some food to fill my stomach. "Here…!" I offered some to Brook.

"Is it for me…?" he asked in surprise.

I nodded as he received it cautiously as if it was an illusion. "Yohoho! it's been a long time since I filled my stomach, even though I don't have one," Brook ate them cheerfully.

I smiled as I filled my stomach. "Ah! What is this? *burp*," Brook asked in surprise, pointing at the Dial.

"It's a Dial," I replied, already knowing his shock.

"Yohohoho! *burp* I also have it," Brook replied, opening his skull. Despite knowing that he can do it, I was shocked and watched it star-eyed.

"See, this is a tone Dial which was brought from a merchant," Brook should the Tone Dial. "But I can't believe I'm seeing so many of them in one place. Yohoho! but I don't have eyes yohoho," Brook laughed in disbelief.

I saw the Tone Dial, which is the familiar one I saw in the canon, "This contains the last song my crew sang," Brook explained, slightly sad.

"Can I play it, Grim-san?" Brook asked expectantly.

"Why are you asking me? You are this ship's owner." I smiled in amusement.

"Ah! I forgot, Yohohoho!" Brook cried out and turned on the Tone Dial as music played from it.

Yohohoho~yo-ho-ho-ho~
