Chapter: Bickering...? A Ship...?

.

.

.

On a tattered ship floating in a foggy Florian Triangle, two figures can be seen moving on its deck.

"Grim-san, bend your knees slightly, straighten your hips," a tall figure instructed, tapping on the small figure, adjusting the posture with his cane.

The small figure grunted and swung the two wooden swords in his hands mechanically. "Let's spar!" I grumbled, taking a stance facing Brook.

"Yohohoho! Grim-san, you have not even learned proper basics," Brook declined.

"I don't care. I will gain experience by fighting," I declared, urging Brook.

"For that, you need to learn how to use one sword," Brook pointed out.

"Well, 'You' have been practicing it for nearly a month," Brook stated, holding his cane to draw his sword.

"Let's test if your muscle memory works as you proclaimed," Brook suggested, drawing his sword.

"Oi! Are you using a real sword?" I exclaimed in shock. "I'm not all bones like you," I pointed out.

"What's wrong with all bones?" Brook bristled. "You wound my heart, even though I don't have one, yohohoho," Brook yelled, pouncing on me.

I sidestepped and slashed with the right sword; he easily avoided it and counterattacked. He is extremely fast as he proclaimed, and it is very difficult for me to keep up and is slowly pushed back.

Only the advantage of my short body, which is nearly 3ft, can I dodge it. Yeah, due to the high oxygen content in my blood, I had a sudden growth spurt, a large one at that.

I'm not happy about it. No one knows how I miss being in a 'strong' adult body and can act cool. 'I guess it can't be helped, if…' Brook's attack interrupted my thought.

"Grim-san, your shortness is very useful, yohohoho," Brook mocked the advantage of my shortness.

"You are so dead, virgin gramps," I roared, swinging my sword in anger for pointing out my shortness.

"Who is a virgin?" Brook yelled, parrying. "When I'm alive, I have seen countless panties," Brook proclaimed proudly, launching another attack.

"So you have 'only seen' them?" I jeered, deflecting the attack.

"Yohoho! It's 'adult' world, you 'Kid' wouldn't understand," Brook stressed, blocking my attack.

"Why? You!" I thundered, activating 'Electro'.

"That's useless against me," Brook taunted.

"Who said it's for you?" I retorted as electricity coursed over my body, stimulating my nerves.

"Let's find out if your speed can keep up?" I grinned, preparing for another round.

If anyone is doubtful of our fight, then the cause of it is 'Food'. Yes, the food reserve is nearly over, despite Brook not eating, which I didn't approve of.

And Brook is extremely worried about me starving to death or eating him after the food runs out. He does not want to experience either case, so he is moody.

*clang* *crack* *thud* *thunk* We fought continuously while mocking each other until we were tired. "*pant* *pant* yohoho! that's so intense that I can't breathe. Ah! But I don't have lungs," Brook stood panting slightly.

"*pant* *pant* you bag of bones *huff* you don't have organs or muscles *huff* How do you get tired?" I pointed, lying prone, panting hard, unable to move a muscle.

"Ah! I don't know," Brook stated, confused without any previous tiredness.

"*pant* I think it must be related to your Will *huff*" I deduced.

"You think you are alive so you can act like a normal human," I pointed out. "If you 'Will' in believing *pant* that you don't have organs *huff* then you will be a fighting machine," I reasoned as Brook looked thoughtful.

'Just thinking about how he can fight continuously without tiredness and push his body without limit brings me goosebumps,' I dreamed.

"You can use it as a sudden power-up," I suggested, thinking about it.

"Yohohoho, but I don't know how to do it," Brook sighed.

"It is just similar to your soul form," I pointed, sitting up.

"You just need to practice how to do it and turn back to normal," I reasoned.

"If you don't practice returning to normal then you will not be able to feel, taste, or get tired, etc, as you do now," I guessed.

"It is also the only thing that keeps you human, so be careful and take precautions. I don't want you to become an undead zombie," I suggested.

"I also think the way you have not eaten food these many years is also because of will," I deduced with slight anger. 'How can he be alive without eating if not…?' I thought.

Brook was left there in deep thought; I didn't disturb him and went into the cabin where I have been repairing the portable bag.

I am slowly upgrading it using the mechanical parts for the portable bag. Since the waver can only hold one person, I need to design a boat or a speedboat that can move using Jet Dials.

I also can build a vehicle to travel by air and land, but it will take a long time so I'm only making a boat for now. The progress is also slow because of memory loss and the intrusion of different personalities.

I'm not motivated to work on it if it is not Franky, Usopp, and my normal personality. I checked the previous repair by following the recorded video instruction to continue the repair and upgrade of the portable bag.

Soon music drifted here from the ship's deck, which was played by Brook. A calm silence followed in this eerie fog. Time passed as I concentrated on the upgrade listening to the music.

«SNAP» a snapping sound of a rubber band is heard from the watch as blue color bordered my pupil. I blinked, looking at the scattered mechanical parts, and hurriedly stood up, scanning the surroundings vigilantly. I became alert after hearing the music suddenly stop and a footstep neared me.

I warily waited for the owner of the sound to arrive, readying my foot to kick if it was dangerous. The footstep stopped in front of the door which that person pushed and entered.

As soon as that person… er- skeleton entered, my eyes widen and went for a kick subconsciously. *Klick* the skeleton blocked it with the cane as if expecting it and took a half-step back from the momentum.

Before I readied for another kick, the skeleton showed a pendant. As soon as I laid my eyes on it, I calmed down and stared at it. Then I noticed that the skeleton is somewhat similar to 'Brook' from One piece.

"Brook?" I blurted subconsciously as the skeleton sighed in relief.

"Yohohoho, yes I'm Brook. I'm relieved that you can remember me," Brook expressed with a twinge of worry.

"Where am I? How did I get here? Are you real? Why am I short?" I demanded the skeleton.

"You want to see 'that' to get all your answers," Brook blinked -like hell he can- at the series of questions fired and advised by pointing at my wrist.

"I heard a 'Pop' sound while playing music due to my sensitivity to sound, even though I don't have ears, yohohoho," Brook explained before getting out of the room. I operated the blinking thing on my wrist.

«REMINDER NOTE »

» Ah! You FINALLY saw the watch after defeating 100 giants single-handedly. Oh! you can't remember it, I will clear your doubts. It's because you have short-term memory loss (STML), due to being hit in the head while fighting a Dragon. I know you don't need this Note so I prepared it just in case.

» You must have already met Brook. It's the same Brook you are thinking about. Why is he here? Because You are in One Piece World. What!? Did you get I-can't-relax-till-I-explore-this-world disease?

» Oh! update the Note after each adventure. I changed some settings on the watch to «SNAP». Why? You ask? Don't know, just felt like it. I left the changes of the hologram as it is. Change it if you want. If you are confused about why this Note is written like Usopp, check 'Details of personality' below.

I read the 'Reminder Note' to learn about my situation, "Oh! I'm dead?" I muttered without any surprise.

I picked a nearby steel wire and bend it in the desired shape and placed it in my mouth to act as a cigarette. 'What a shitty 'note'? it feels like a bad story,' I continued to read while reaching the ship's deck where Brook was waiting.

I observed the broken ship in the foggy sea area in awe. "Yohohoho, Grim-san, do you like this gloomy~ sea," Brook asked.

"Shit! Who will like this crappy sea?" I retorted angrily.

"Don't worry, Grim-san, there are only spiders in this ship," Brook comforted me.

I got a chill going down my spine. "S-spi-spidersss?" I croaked, looking around in fear.

"Oh! Are you afraid of spiders?" Brook's question, I can feel mischief in his tone.

"They are disgusting. They have these creepy hairy *ugh* legs," I blanched, thinking about it.

Before Brook could respond *GROWL~* interrupted us, as I held my hand in my stomach.

"Shity skeleton, where is the kitchen? I'm going to cook. Is it hygienic?" I asked Brook, frowning at the tattered ship.

"There is nothing in the kitchen," Brook explained while unwinding the bandage on his head.

"There is only this amount of food," Brook says, taking a small bag from his skull.

"What the…?" I stared wide-eyed. "How did THAT fit in?" I asked in disbelief. 'I know he stole the Ponyglyph's rubbing from the Big mom like this, but seeing it for real is weird,' I complained about the weird physics of this world.

"And WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE KEEP THE FOOD?" I raged, kicking Brook as he spun falling to the ground.

"You are cruel. My eyes are spinning. Ah! I don't have one," Brook mumbled, 'yo-ho-ho-ing'.

The food bag is sent flying out of Brook's hand. I ran below it readying to catch it. Before it fell to my hand, it weirdly change direction mid-air like getting knocked by something and falling aboard.

I stared shell shocked. "What the shit just happen?" I cursed and ran to jump after it.

'The God is really trying to annoy me?' I fumed, reaching the edge, noticing this Brook swiftly held me back.

"Don't! Grim-san! You will get lost if you jump now. The ship is caught in the sea current," Brook warned, holding me.

"Let me go! shitty bones, that's FOOD you are talking about," I bristled.

"I won't waste food," I yelled as the blue in my eyes brightened.

"No, I won't let you, even if I'm beaten black and blue," Brook declared solemnly. "Ah! But I don't have a skin, yohohoho," he added, breaking his serious self.

"I will make a soup out of you if…" I threatened before Brook cut me off.

"I will go and check it first. You jump only after wearing that safety rope," he stated, pointing at the long rope nearby, which 'past me' used to avoid getting lost while swimming in the sea.

I grudgingly accepted before he let me go, then he pops out in his soul form as his body fell on the deck.

"I will check the area around," he declared, floating out of the ship's range.

"Forget it! You will get lost in the fog again," I jeered at him.

"yohohoho, my heart warms me even though I don't a heart," Brook replied after being surprised for a while 'How do you remember it after a memory attack?' look.

"Don't worry! I won't go far," Brook promised as he floated towards the sea. As I looked at the dark sea, I get an urge to challenge it again… again? Why did I say again? I shook my thoughts aside as the blue in my eye dimmed, then I picked up the safety rope so I can jump into the sea fast.

After securing myself with some thought, I skimmed through the Log Book to understand the overall situation. "So 'I' didn't tell Brook about knowing about the future knowledge," I muttered thoughtfully, recalling Brook's shocked expression.

As I was thinking, Brook's soul rushed towards the ship in the distance yelling "GRIM-san… ship" something.

"Grim-san, there is a pirate ship nearby," Brook yelled excitedly.

"Really? Then let's raid it," I declared enthusiastically.

"WHAAT!?" Brook yelled, bewildered at this instruction.

"Shut up! Shitty bones and hear the plan," I snapped and expressed my plan, ignoring his look.

Brook looked weird after listening to the plan. "Yohohoho! this is exactly what you did to me, Grim-san," Brook claimed happily.

"Oh! Then you know what to do," I confirmed again.

"Ok! Lead the way, let's rob some bastards," I announced, jumping into the sea.

A chill spread over me as soon as I touched the dark, cold water. The bottom of the sea is dark despite using night vision. My body automatically switched to gills which are located on both sides of my neck.

I surfaced my head and nodded at the floating Brook, who took the lead as I closely followed. After some minutes I spotted a ship's back with a black flag flying, but I can see the Jolly Roger clearly due to the fog.

As we neared, I can hear the restlessness of the crew due to sailing in this area. 'This is going to be easy,' I cheered and signaled Brook to take action.

I watched Brook ghosting into the ship's wall in awe. 'He can easily peek… bah! What am I thinking? It's all Ero-cook's fault,' I shook the distracting thoughts, then swam to Ship's side and secured the rope tied to me on it.

After a while, I heard a commotion on the ship. I smiled as Brook began taking action. I can hear screams and yelling like 'ghost', 'help', 'I'm gonna die', 'Stay away', etc.

*thud* *thud* *mutter* *muffled screams* can be heard from the ship along with a familiar 'Yohohohoho!'. "W-what a-are you-u? Wha-at do you-u wa-ant?" a stuttering voice asked in a panic.

"Yohohoho, I'm Davy Jones, sailors' devil, evil sea god, who ferries souls to the underworld," Brook declared as there were gasps of surprise from the deck.

"Since you woke me, are you ready for Davy Jones' Locker?" Brook's voice boomed, resulting in silence.

"We didn't wake you," a voice squeaked in terror.

"Did you say something?" Brook demanded at the person who spoke.

"Nothing," He shrieked at being pointed out.

"I usually take away the souls of those who wake me up…," Brook spun tales as the pirates gasped in horror.

"But…" a voice asked hopefully.

"But I'm in a good mood, so…" Brook floated around, then hovered above a boat.

"Fill this with your food supplies," Brook ordered as they looked at the boat.

"Oh! You can keep some," Brook graciously agreed, which I emphasized because I can't allow others to be hungry.

The pirates looked at each other silently. "What are you waiting for? Hurry up," Brook bellowed. "Or give me your souls, muwahahahaha!" Brook roared, finishing with a perfect villain laugh.

I snickered, hearing this laugh. I heard people rushing around the ship placing the supplies on the boat. After placing all the things, they looked at the floating soul, waiting for their judgment.

"What? I can't touch it since I don't have a body, yoho *ahem* lower it to the sea," Brook coughed, stopping himself from saying a joke.

'Did they ask you?' I facepalmed.
