Chapter: A Stupid case or a Brilliant Find...?

.

.

.

"So, this is not a real One Piece word?" I asked no one... or... Is there no one? Someone or something is watching me…?. I looked around warily. This is the conclusion I came to after squeezing my suspiciousness IQ, conspiracy theory IQ, and some otaku IQ, combined with Robin's research curiosity.

I breathed deeply, calming down. "It may be true," I muttered. "I found many abnormalities while reading the LOG," I revealed the reason for my doubt.

"At the beginning, I am confused about it, and cannot find a proper explanation for it, until I found a different approach," I muttered, noting them down on the watch.

"The abnormalities can only be explained if I assumed this world as a novel," I deduced. "And I'm a character created in it rather than transmigrated," I revealed, which is not believable even to me.

I mulled over what I just deduced. "No, now it makes sense," I nodded in realization.

"If I am just a character in a novel, then all the abnormalities are easily explainable," my purple-bordered Iris widened in realization.

"And I clearly do not have a proper memory of my past life. I only have knowledge of Extreme Sports, One Piece & its fanfics, and some common sense," I recalled.

"Who will only remember these things?" I huffed.

"What's my name? birth date, family? Etc., are unknown," I listed.

"Even if I consider that my memories of my personal information were erased. All the details of that world I remember are incomplete or vague," I expressed.

"It's like... a character created with a vague background in a made-up world or a background created by one lazy author," I concluded. 'If this is really a novel as I deduced, then there must be an author to manipulate things,' I thought.

"From the past life, I can only remember my goal of reaching space, even though that world has a FUCKING SPACESHIP," I continued as the purple in my eyes dimmed.

"If there is a spaceship, then why the Hell did I not reach Space using it. Instead, I created chaos in that world," I voiced out.

"Where is the logic in that? I became a 'villain' just like that," I protested, dumbfound at the stupid background. 'The author must have created... no, just thought vaguely about a new world for my background, so the world is incomplete in my memories,' I deduced.

"Due to it, an obvious made-up god conveniently brought me to this world," I sneered.

"Fuck! Author, Am I correct?" I glared up as if I could break through the Fourth wall and look at the author. 'If there is really an author, and this is a story, then I need to find a trace of it,' I decided.

"That vague world I remember is inconsistent, and there is NO Logic in that world. It is incomplete," I finished. The boat swayed roughly at my remark. My eyes lit up 'Is the author watching?'.

"If everything is normal, I would not have found these abnormalities," I scoffed.

"You just have to give me a weird, powerful body, along with a sci-fi watch, containing all the knowledge of a world," I pointed out.

"And after comparing the info on the watch with the vague world in my memory, most things are not common from what I remember," I compared. 'The world in my vague memory is more advanced than the world mentioned in the watch,' I reflected.

"Even if I ignore them and consider it as a Boon given by 'God', then following things are intolerable." I shook my head in wonder.

"Let's see," I began. "In the beginning, I was 'coincidentally' sent to Sky Island, where I got used to my new body peacefully. And met the helpful canon characters," I began. The boat rocked, and I heard Jinbe's yelling, as I continue to point out the flaws.

"Then, after leaving the Skypiea, 'I' once again 'coincidentally' met Brook. And there was even a new floating island made-up to send 'me' from the Skypiea -which is near Jaya Island- to Florian Triangle, located some distance from water 7. And there was also a 'story arc' in that Island," I indicated.

"It is like my path is pre-destined by someone," I accused. "And as soon as I left Florian Triangle. I super 'coincidentally' met Jinbe," I complained. I feel a storm forming outside.

"And what is he doing there at this time? He should be sailing with Sun Pirates, but he is all alone near Florian Triangle," I pointed out the apparent manipulation. The purple around my Iris is restraining my emotions.

"And even my past three years are filled with drama, difficulty, blood, and power-ups," I speechlessly recalled the things in the LOG.

"Just like the protagonists in those novels, so... I'm the MC of this fanfic?" I questioned, but there was no excitement in my voice. 'Now, I'm 50% sure this is fanfic,' I noted.

"I agree that most things in the past are done, due to 'my' awesomeness, but you drew a line. I just paved the path," I replied lethargically.

I sat there silently for a minute. "Then all the accident that happened, when 'I' try to act cool, is a gag created by you to add comedic effect to your story?" I reacted, seething with anger.

"So... to get the story famous, you have been making fun of me?" I roared angrily as the purple around my eyes dimmed.

"And you made me talk aloud, even while I'm all alone," I gritted in anger. "It is to make 'your' story a little interesting. And to info dump through my mouth, so as not to make the story bland?" my eyes widened.

"You made me act like a clown," I roared. I don't know whether I'm hallucinating, but the storm out there sounds like a burst of laughter.

"Listen, you stupid, idiotic author," I bellowed as everything came to still. I can't hear the storm or the struggle of Jinbe controlling the boat. I can only hear my heart beating crazily.

I gulped audibly. I can feel pressure on myself. 'Oh! you finally showed up,' I thought as I felt the pressure increase but my stubbornness did not give up. "Listen carefully," I notified solemnly, breaking the silence.

"Just so because you created me, or brought me from another world, I'm thankful," I thanked him.

"But, I don't give two shit about your fanfic. It can go on hiatus for all I care," I warned sternly. "So, don't even think about controlling me again," I threatened.

I waited for any reaction. "Just because I can't hurt you, don't think I won't retaliate." I grinned evilly.

"I guess you don't know about my background completely since you didn't even bother perfecting them," I sneered.

"But I remember the memories clearly. It's totally different from actually experiencing them than just writing about them," I scoffed.

"So I'm an experienced 'Villain'. You are just a person who sits all day on his ass and writes things," I sneered. "I can deal with such people easily in reality," I continued to intimidate. "Even if I'm only a character, don't test my patience," I warned.

After a moment of tense silence, everything returned to normal. I'm somewhat relieved after hearing the sound of the storm and the struggle of Jinbe.

"If the plot continues normally, then what will be the next approach?" I wondered, brooding. "Will I meet another Straw hat? I already have met Brook and Jinbe, then will it be Franky next?" I speculated.

"And that video recorded on that mysterious Island, my personality change all of them foreshadows my mingling with Straw hats in the future," I deduced.

"Did 'he' want me to meet all the straw hats...? Then is his plan to make me join the Straw hats?" I guessed in surprise.

I thought silently, "Hmph...! Just because 'you' planned it, I won't do it," I vowed. 'Anyway, the plot was destroyed ever since I met with Brook and Jinbe. After I save Brook, everything will be uncertain,' I lamented.

Thinking about Brook gives me a headache, and suddenly I got an idea. "That's it…! I will join Gecko Moria, hehehe," I decided. "He has a big ship, which is convenient in searching for Brook. Hehehe, and he will stay at Florian Triangle in the future," I reasoned. 'I can only use a ship of that size to explore the Florian Triangle.' I nodded.

I laughed creepily just thinking about it. "So my next stop is West Blue. I just need to find where Cindry is," I planned. 'Then wait for that pervert Hogback,' I thought.

"Hmm...! But paradise only has East and South blue on its sides across the Calm Belts, so I need to reach South Blue and find a way to West Blue," I decided.

"I still have a chance of meeting Robin, but it is better than East blue," I muttered, wondering. 'Why am I suddenly against meeting Straw Hat? It is all 'that' numbskull's fault,' I complained.

"I will find a way to break the fourth wall and beat the shit out of the author," I mumbled.

'If my guess is right, the watch cannot be used by anyone without my permission. So it is my tool to fight against slavery, *ahem* manipulation,' I deduced. Then I prepared to save the things I just recorded into a proper folder.

'I'm extremely infuriated, even in Robin's personality. I wonder how I will react in other's personalities,' I thought, grinning evilly.

I created a folder named [Secret of the World] and moved the newly discovered 'records' into it. When I prepared to enter the password, the wave threw the boat up, interrupting me. After gaining my footing I found that the folder was successfully secured and I entered a random password due to the accident.

"FUCK...! sonnova..." I cursed in rage, looking at the secured folder, whose password was unknown. "I just warned you, but you didn't take it seriously," I bellowed, blaming the author for the wave.

I calmed down after finding it was no use. "For your story to succeed, you need an alive MC," I voiced, grinning evilly. 'If I'm an MC, then I will have an 'unkillable halo'. Let's check it.' I gleaned.

"What will happen to the fanfic if an important character is dead before the story even begins?" I threatened. The storm suddenly calmed down, and my grin widened. I can even hear Jinbe's surprised voice due to this sudden turn of events.

I waited vigilantly for anything to happen, but the sea was calm as time passed silently. I looked around suspiciously before reacting, *bang* I hit myself in the wall.

"Fuck! I nearly had an STML, that's dangerous," I complained, as my adrenaline surged.

"Don't think this will stop me. Try to prevent my death if you can *hmph*," I challenged, rubbing the aching head.

"Hey! Are you alright?" Jinbe asked, looking through the door.

"Yeah! I hit my head," I lied, getting out of the room. As soon as I spotted Jinbe, I got a new idea of how to finish my 'death' mission easily.

'I thought of many ways of dying awesomely, in a short time, but because of my unique body, I can't die easily,' I lamented. 'The Only solution I have is to infuriate Jinbe so much that he will kill me,' I decided, looking at Jinbe eagerly.

Jinbe backed up warily after looking at my expression. "Do you know what happened here?" he asked.

"I don't care," I waved dismissively. 'Who cares about that? It's time for me to die an awesome death,' I thought eagerly to get revenge on the author.

Jinbe looked speechless. 'What do you mean, you don't care? We nearly died, a huge sea monkey created a tsunami and chased us. Didn't you hear its laughter? Didn't you feel the pressure of the tsunami when it is falling on top of us? At least, you must have felt the silence when I entered the Green Room of the tsunami,' he complained inwardly. If I listened to this then, 'Well played author. You perfectly covered all the loopholes of your appearance,' I would have complained.

'*sigh* At least, I get to drive this awesome boat,' Jinbe comforted himself.

"Oh!, yeah, what is your name, kid? I forgot to ask about it," Jinbe asked suddenly.

I'm taken aback by this question, as I was seriously plotting a plan. Then I thought about a name, then grinned, "Ah! my name is Deadpool," I introduced myself. 'It's a perfect name for breaking the fourth wall.' I grinned maliciously.

Jinbe blinked. "What a stupid name is that?" he blurted, subconsciously.

"Then what a stupid name is Fisher Tiger," I retorted, finding my chance quickly. "Is he a tiger or a Fishman?" I sneered.

Jinbe is shocked at my sudden outburst, then becomes angry, "How dare you talk bad about Bro Ti?" Jinbe glared angrily.

'Ha! It's working,' I cheered. "What about him? He is just a selfish and narrow-minded guy," I remarked.

"How dare you!? You know nothing about him," Jinbe stomped towards me, infuriated. 'It's not enough,' I concluded.

"I know! He scaled the Redline and saved the slaves from there. I appreciate he did things others would dare not," I revealed. Jinbe continued to stare at me.

"Then he created Sun Pirates and started hunting humans. What's the difference between you and other pirates?" I exaggerated to anger him.

"We are not like that," Jinbe snapped. "You will know, after meeting with them," Jinbe denied the claim.

'What!? Do you want to take me to your ship? Are you trying to kill me? Even though I'm trying to die now, that's not how I envisioned my death,' I thought, glaring at Jinbe.

"No way I'm getting near that 'Racist' Arlong and 'that' Macro," I bellowed, to Jinbe's surprise.

"I will probably kill them if I see them," I warned. 'I will definitely try,' I added, knowing I cannot defeat them.

"What!? you have a grudge against them?" Jinbe asked in surprise. "I can understand Arlong, but what about Macro?" Jinbe probed.

"It's the silent ones that are dangerous. You will know about them in the future," I waved. 'Wait! I'm trying to anger him. Why does the topic change? It must be 'his' manipulation,' I glared at the sky.

"Speaking of Sun Pirates, it is the worst pirate crew," I provoked, increasing Jinbe's anger. I nodded in satisfaction.

Before Jinbe could refute, "Does your crew have a goal or a Dream? What is the difference between you and the pirates that Loot, murder & pillage?" I question, silencing him.

Jinbe doesn't know how to react to this question. "All the Fishman dream of living under the sun, you guys have half achieved it. Instead of adventuring the world, you are fighting with humans," I reasoned with him.

"Isn't your captain an adventurer? Why didn't he do it now? He gets to see the world but did not take you guys. He is just selfish," I continued to insult.

"Shut Up! You are unreasonable and know nothing about Bro Ti," Jinbe fumed in rage. 'Who cares if it's true or not? I only need to infuriate you. Now come on, hit me, kill me, mwahaha,' I looked elated at his reaction.

'What will you do Author, If he killed me?, hehehe' I sneered.

"Am I wrong? Since you know nothing about humans, you could have just learned about them while sailing," I indicated.

"Who wants to learn about them?" Jinbe exploded. I rolled my eyes at his indecisive behavior.

"Selfish and narrow-minded, just like your captain," I sneered at him.

"I won't forgive you if you don't shut up," Jinbe warned. 'That's what I want,' I cheered.

I ignored him. "At least your Queen thinks about the future of Fishman," I emphasized, to which Jinbe calmed down, to my surprise.

"She's trying to bring Fishman back to the surface, but because of your captain's selfish attack on humans, it further deteriorated your relationship with humans," I explained.

"Maybe her efforts are futile in the present, but it will definitely help in fifteen or twenty years," I pointed out.

"In a way, what you guys are doing has made her struggles vain, and also blocked any future chance for her," I revealed. Jinbe looked thunder shocked at my revelation. 'Oi! I want you to be angry. What's with your expression?' I complained.

"It will also change the Fishman's opinion on humans," I pointed out. "What!? Don't believe it? Let's see...," I thought for a while.

"You guys attack the humans and brag about them after returning to Fishman Island, but this will make others think Humans are so-so," I explained. Jinbe looks with a 'What's wrong with that?' look.

"But you guys don't know anything about humans. How do you know there aren't any stronger humans?" I demanded. Jinbe looked speechless and started sweating.

"On top of that, because of your 'tales of beating humans,' the Fishmen will hate humans not knowing why they are hating them," I clarified. Jinbe turned pale...-Er light blue, hearing this.

"Then the hatred will pass from generation to generation, even if they don't meet any humans personally," I solemnly finished.

Jinbe looked totally shocked after hearing this and slumped on the floor, sweating heavily. 'What's your reaction? Come and kill me, I have used all my techniques to anger you,' I began to panic at not getting revenge on the Author.

As I was lamenting, Jinbe was confused and depressed, brooding over the things I explained. Jinbe suddenly stood up, eyes shadowed, looking determined. 'Yeah! This is it, come on! Let's fight to the death. It is the only cool way of dying. Stupid Author! Let's see what you will do,' I grinned, readying for Jinbe's attack.

"You said that you will teach me about humans. I have decided to take on that offer," Jinbe decided.

"Huh...!? Ehhh...!? Ehhhhh...!?" I am shocked by this response. 'Where did your anger go?' I screamed inwardly.

"Aren't you angry?" I probed hopefully.

Jinbe breathed deeply, then looked at me. "What you told was the truth, so why should I be angry?" he asked calmly.

'No! this isn't in the plot I envisioned. Where is the fight?' I looked stupid. 'This must be the author's doing,' I blamed.

After thinking carefully, I sighed. "OK! But as a fee, you need to teach me Fishman karate," I proposed as Jinbe nodded in agreement.

"What to do next?" Jinbe asked, looking in the direction of the Florian Triangle in the far distance.

"Look for another way to die," I blurted, to Jinbe's shock.

"What!? Die?" Jinbe blinked. "So, you purposefully angered me to get killed by me?" Jinbe exclaimed.

"Ara? Forget what I said," I blinked. 'Robin's dark humor works properly,' I sighed.

"You are the one with memory loss. Not me," Jinbe's eyes widened. "Don't think low of me. I won't kill you just because of this," Jinbe complained.

"Yeah… yeah… It's a joke. Forget it," I soothed him. 'You didn't look calm earlier,' I complained.

Jinbe looked at my dismissive attitude and tried to explain, but I cut him off. "I need to go to the blues, so drop me near the Calm Belt. I have a way to cross it," I revealed, putting aside my revenge plan.

"Calm Belt? Then it will take about two months. We can't sail directly since we can't find the direction. We need to reach an island near it first," Jinbe explained.

"Oh! You can teach me Fishman karate for the next two months. On the way to Calm Belt, I will also show about the humans," I suggested.

"Okay, I will tell my crew about this," Jinbe accepted easily.

"Hmm...! Let's go," I yelled before «BLOOM» a sound of petals blooming is heard from my watch. The already dim purple/violet bordering the Iris vanished.

I blinked my yellow-dominated eyes to look around. "Where Am I?" I muttered. "Ah! ONI!," I screamed, backing up. Jinbe looked dumbfounded, "Again?" he yelled, losing his cool.

"What again? Don't come near me. I warn you I have killed 500 Onis with just my pinky," I warned, waving my pinky.

Jinbe's expression became blank. "Don't believe me, I have 800 million underlings working for me," I threatened.

"Wahahaha, You are funny," Jinbe laughed at my antics.

"Of course. Who do you think I'm? Even a dumb person will laugh at hearing my jokes," I bragged, straightening my back, and looking proud.

"I scanned the area to find that I'm in the middle of the sea, on a cool white boat. I observed Oni, who looks exactly like Jinbe from One Piece.

"Um! Deadpool...?" Jinbe probed after I became silent.

"What a stupid name is that?" I blurted subconsciously.

Jinbe stared speechlessly at the familiar sentence. "Come Again? I didn't hear it clearly," Jinbe asked menacingly.

I looked at angry Jinbe as my yellow-dominated Iris gleamed, 'Why is he angry? It looks like he will beat me if I denied the name,' I processed quickly.

"Nothing, Nothing at all," I denied, "I'm Deadpool. It's a nice name," I adapted quickly to my situation.

Jinbe stared at me for a while, then sighed. He then pointed at my wrist and asked me to check it to understand my situation. I followed his advice and checked it to find the 'Reminder Note'.

I understood everything from it. 'This is the One Piece world, but whose butt should I kick? It is not clear.' Examined the words carefully. I also found that the notes ended abruptly and were encrypted. I tried to read it carefully, but it is without any progress. 'Why is it encrypted? And it is not my doing… Whatever,' I shrugged.

I went near Jinbe, who is driving the boat. "Are you really Jinbe?" I asked him.

Jinbe frowned, "Yeah, I'm Jinbe," he nodded.

"Don't lie, you look like an angry Oni and an impatient mafia boss," I bluntly pointed out.

"And who is the reason for that?" Jinbe snapped.

I backed down, "You have ten years to return to normal," I looked at him in pity.

"Why are you looking like I'm having a disease?" Jinbe glared at me.

"Nothing," I rattled my head.

After that, we traveled in silence as I was reading the Log roughly. I got bored quickly and went to Jinbe. "Oi! Jinbe, I heard Goldfish have a short memory," I asked as Jinbe nodded.

"So does your Queen also have a short memory?" I asked curiously.

Jinbe rolled his eyes, "You are asking about others' memory problems?" he asked, speechlessly. "And who are you mocking? Do you need a beating?" Mafia Boss Jinbe yelled.

"Gyaah! Murder," I ran screaming. "Don't just watch, help me," I yelled.

"Who are you talking to?" Jinbe asked, curious.

"Obviously the readers...?" I replied, confused.

"What readers?" Jinbe asked suspiciously.

"Don't know, I blurted what came to my mind," I shrugged, not knowing the reason.

And thus the 'stupid case' came to an end with the addition of a new folder in my watch and a 'slight change in me'. But no one knows that the insignificant folder 'Secret of the world' will make a big impact in the future.

.

Author: *Phew* He nearly found me. Well, the Combination of his already high I.Q. & Robin's personality is dangerous. He nearly got out of control. Should I praise his 'Brilliant Find' or praise myself for escaping from this? I don't want to even think about what he will do with his 'Unkillable Halo' if he found the truth. Hmph…! But he still doesn't know that I write the story from his perspective, so I will know whatever he is thinking. I can't change the notes on the watch, but I can hide them. He can't escape from my control. Muwahahaha!
