Chapter 14: Deuce's Tsum II

Sometime later, Deuce and Ace arrive in the Heartslabyul Dorm's Kitchen. Of course, the Tsum accompanied them as well.

Seeing Trey in the kitchen, Ace says, "Hey, guys. Just finished taking the Tsum for a walk."

"Welcome back. We're already setting stuff up for the unbirthday party," Trey says.

Then Deuce apologizes, "Sorry we're late. The Tsum kept running this way and that, and we lost track of time chasing after it…"

The Deuce Tsum stares.

Deuce stares at it back and says, "This is your fault, you know. Well, yours, and the guy who egged you on."

"I've got no idea who you're referring to. Anyway, I gotta go paint the roses red. You can handle the Tsum yourself," Ace says, and soon takes his leave.

Deuce sighs, "Sheesh... Well, I'll get to work too, Trey!"

"You can sit this one out, actually," Trey says, "The headmage puts you in charge of tsum sitting, right? I hear they can be a real handful to look after, so just focus on that today."

But Deuce says, "No, I insist! I don't want to shirk my duties. Tsum Sitting or no, it wouldn't be fair if I was the only guy skipping out on the work!"

Suddenly, Deuce hears something, "What's that noise?" Then turns to see his Tsum, "Tsum?"

What Deuce sees is the Tsum stacking plates on itself and carrying it.

Trey is surprised, "Whoa... It's stacking plates on itself. And somehow actually staying balanced."

Deuce then asks his Tsum, "Do you want to help?"

The Deuce Tsum nods in response.

"Okay then, we'll work together! I'll take the dishes out of the cabinet. You can carry them out to the tables," Deuce says.

The Deuce Tsum happily agrees.

And Trey says, "Just...try not to overdo it, okay? That goes for both of you."

"Got it!" Deuce says, and the Tsum nods in agreement.

And with that, the two begin to do the dishes.

Sometime later, Trey and some of the students have finished making a cake. Of course. Trey has finished most of the cake.

Trey says to the students, "The sponge cake's cooled enough. I went ahead and frosted on the whipped cream, but would you handle the finishing touches?"

"Yes, sir! You want strawberries and sugar decorations, right?" the Heartslabyul Student says.

"Yeah, that works. I'm gonna go see if the pies are done," Trey says.

That's the last of them. I'm impressed you managed to carry all of those without breaking any.

Then a student walks to Deuce, "Hey, Deuce? The tea tin's empty. Where do we keep our stock of loose leaves again?"

"Should be on one of the upper shelves," Deuce says, "Hold on, I'll get it…"

However, Deuce notices that his Tsum is acting up.

Deuce asks, "What is it, Tsum? Why are you wriggling around?"

And then suddenly, the Deuce Tsum jumps high in the air.

"Whoa! It jumped!" Deuce reacts in shock.

Deuce watches in shock to see the Tsum has grabs hold of the cabinet handle, and dangling there.

"Wow, you managed to grab onto the cabinet handle... But what's the plan now, hm? Just dangle there?" Duce says.

Deuce walks over and calls out, "Get down, Tsum. Let me—"

But to Deuce's shock, he can see the Tsum trying to pull the cabinet open by shaking the handle.

Deuce calls out, "Whoa, hey, don't try to shake it open! You're gonna topple everything!"

But the Tsum continues on.

Heartslabyul Student panics, "Wait... Oh, no…"

And with that, the cabinet begins to fall.

Deuce panics, "The cabinet's falling over! Aaah!"

And soon, the items gets fallen over.

The shelf's like a seesaw with all the tins tumbling to one end…"

And the Deuce Tsum gets flinged as the cabinet falls to its side.

Deuce cries out, ""The Tsum was on the other end and got flung up from the force of the shelf tipping over! Did it PLAN for this to happen?!" But soon notices, "Hold on, it's flying right toward a light fixture…" and now the Tsum ends up clinging on to the light fixture, "It's clinging to the light fixture as hard as it can with its little stubs! All's well that ends well, I guess...?"

The second Heartslabyul Student says, "No—look. The light's swinging back and forth from the impact."

And the Tsum is swinging around.

Soon, Cater rushes into the kitchen, "I heard a crash—is everybody okay in here?" And notices the cabinet, "Whoa! Why's the cabinet on its side?!"

Deuce cries out, "Cater, get back! The Tsum hit a light fixture, and it's still swinging...!"

And soon, the Tsum ends up knocking into the pots and pans.

Cater cries out, "Whoa, it's raining pots and pans!"

"Sorry, Cater! I'll get this under control!" Deuce says.

The Tsum continues hanging on, but is struggling to hold its grip.

Cater notices, ""Hey, uh, the tsummy's clinging hard to that light, but it looks like it's starting to lose its grip."

Deuce rushes over and reaches his hands out, "Tsum, let go! I'll catch you!"

And with that, the Decume jumps.

Cater and Deuce cries out, "It jumped before slipping off?!"

And the Deuce Tsum bounces off the ball.

"And then it parkoured off the wall!" Deuce says.

And with that, the Deuce Tsum ends up getting splattered on the cake.

Deuce cries out, "Ack... Now it's...on the cake Trey baked…"

"The one he already put whipped cream on…" Heartslabyul Student says.

Cater says in worried, "Hoo boy... This is some major trouble."

And the Deuce Tsum shrinks into a small size.

"Hey, don't just shrink down to shoulder-riding size and hide!" Deuce cries out, "What do I do? There's no time to fix it…"

But it's too late, Tre walks into the kitchen, "Okay guys, all...ready?"

And stops to see the mess that's been left behind.

Deuce flinches, "...Erk."

The Deuce Tsum hides and shrinks further down.

Trey then calmly asks, "What happened? I had a feeling there'd be trouble and baked an extra pie just in case, but geez… How is it that cabinet's collapsed, the floor's strewn with pots, and the cake topper is a...tsum? And he may look like he's smiling on outside, but inside, Trey is furious."

Deuce cries out in fear, "I AM SO SORRY!" as the Tsum bows and apologizes in fear.
