Chapter 2
Real Culprit

"MUSTANG?!" said the girls in shock when they saw that the owner of Casino Delfino was someone they knew well.

Mustang was curious about their reaction and said, "Why yes! The one and only! Surely you have heard of me and my fame that goes beyond the skies! It must be an honor for you all to lay your eyes on my fabulous good looks!"

Noir got in front of him and said at a fast speed, "Mister Mustang! It's me, Noir! You know me, right? I work at your casino back in the Ark! Please tell me you remember me!"

"Hmm? I don't believe we have met before? But my! What a pretty figure you have! You already have all the qualifications for working as a showgirl in this place!" Mustand said as he observed her voluptuous body from head to toe. "You're even dress for the occasion!"

Noir was saddened to hear this. "Like Quiry… You don't remember me…"

"Is something troubling you?" Mustang asked her. "I'd be happy to help!"

"It's all right. She just mistook you for someone," Rapi told him while putting her hand on Noir's shoulder.

"Hohoho! Guess I have the looks that is recognized by many! I hope you will find the person you are looking for soon!" said Mustang. "Now I have something I need to attend to…" He turned to Luigi. "Ah yes, you! I did request for your presence, did I not?"

"I didn't mess up your casino…" insisted Luigi, though his tone sounds like he gave up trying to convince anyone.

Mustang shrugged. "Maybe you did. Maybe you didn't. But now that you're here, you should do something useful. I may be generous enough to award you when you're done! Now come along! Let's get you ready as a janitor here!"

Mario patted Luigi in the shoulder and said to him, "Eet'll be all right! I'll make-a sure to prove your innocence!"

"Thanks…" said Luigi before following Mustang elsewhere.

After they were gone, Wario went off on his own. "Heheh! Time to earn some big bucks! This place better be ready to go bankrupt!"

"What do you want to do now?" Helm asked Mario.

"I need-a to continue searching for evidence that-a Luigi eez innocent in all theez," said Mario. "Eef things are indeed da same as that-a time back in my world, then eetz possible Peach herself will be in danger eventually…"

"Whoever is taking my place here better not lay a hand on Peach! I won't let anyone but myself kidnap her!" said Bowser in anger. He then turned to Peach and said to her, "Don't worry; I'll make sure you are safe and sound from your would-be kidnappers!"

"Um… Thanks…" said Peach, feeling uneasy about him.

"I'm going to see if Blanc is in this place as well," said Noir. "Even if she doesn't have memories of me, I still want to see her." She then went off on her own.

"I guess it wouldn't hurt to have a bit of fun in this place," said Syuen as she began walking off. "Making some cash isn't a bad idea, since we don't know how long we'll be staying here."

"Yeah! Time to show off my villainous gambling skills!" said Drake with enthusiasm as she followed Syuen.

Noir went around the place, observing every direction carefully. It didn't take long for her to come across someone managing a poker card game that is familiar to her. "Rouge…?"

The woman she recognized as Rouge looked up from shuffling cards and asked her, "May I help you? And how do you know my name?"

"Um… Nothing… Forget I said anything…" said Noir nervously while shifting her eyes left and right and twiddling her fingers. "Um… You're the manager of this table?"

Rouge nodded. "Yes! Anyone who wants to have fun with poker cards, I'll entertain them! Want a round?"

"No thanks… I'm looking for someone…" Noir told her. "Have you seen anyone here who is a bunny girl with white hair? Maybe an employee…?"

Rouge thought for a bit and then replied, "Can't say I have. I know every employee here, and I don't recall anyone with white hair."

"Oh… Never mind…" said a disappointed and saddened Noir. "Thanks for the info regardless…"

"Hahaha! No slot machine is going to make a fool out of me!" laughed Wario. Whereas everyone else was having problems trying to get rows of 7 on the slot machine, Wario was getting several of them several times in a row and as a result received a large amount of coins.

As he continued to play the slot machine, he looked to the side and saw two familiar people walking by. "Crygor and Waluigi?!"

Wario picked up his box of coins that he won and followed the two. He initially thought of calling out to them, but thinking that they might not recognize him, he decided to follow them in silence first and see what those two were up to.

Mustang walked up to Crygor and Waluigi and said to them happily, "Nice of you to be able to come here! I hope it wasn't too much trouble trying to find time to come here, since you are a busy man."

"Oh, it's not a problem at all!" Crygor said as he and Mustang shook hands. "My granddaughter Penny can take care of the company herself! She will be my successor after all!"

Hearing this, Waluigi let out a silent grumble. Wario heard what Crygor said and thought to himself, "From the sound of it, Crygor has his own company in this world… I'm assuming that Waluigi is an employee there…"

Crygor pointed his hand at Waluigi and said to Mustang, "This is my secretary Waluigi!"

"Bonjour! Nice to meet you, Sir Waluigi!" Mustang said to the tall and lanky man while shaking his hand. "It must be an honor to be the secretary of the CEO of Cyber Ware Incorporated, a popular toy and video game company!"

Waluigi's attitude changed to a smug one as he said, "Why, you speak too highly of us! Our company still has ways to go before competing against the top dogs! I'm doing my best to help the company reach greater heights!"

"Cyber Ware… Bah! Come up with a better name instead of ripping off mines, will ya?!" Wario said in his head while grumbling in annoyance.

"Come to my office! We have much to discuss regarding the future of entertainment that we talked about working together!" Mustang said to Crygor as he led him through the place.

Wario watched those three leave and said to himself, "Looks like they're doing business together… If Crygor's company really does involve toys and video games, then I guess this Mustang guy wants to branch out into those products for his casino… Didn't know Crygor had it in him to start his own company… And forming a partnership with a casino… Hmmm… Maybe I can try something like that when I get back to my company..."

Meanwhile, Syuen and Drake were playing the slot machine, and the former struck the machine with her fist in frustration. "Darn it! This is the nineteenth loss in a row! Why can't I get a three of a kind even once?!"

"Ha! I won again!" said Drake with excitement as three cherries showed up on her slot machine.

Syuen shot a glare at her and said, "How come you're getting all the wins?! I'm your boss! How is that fair?!"

"Don't blame me. Blame the machines for rigged!" Drake told her.

"Argh! If I don't get anything by the time I'm done, I'm going to file a complain for faulty and obviously rigged slot machines!" said Syuen as she tried her luck again. This time, however, things started to look good for her. Two 7s appeared side by side, and a smile appeared on the Missilis CEO's face as she focused her attention on the third slot. "Yes! Yes! Be a 7! Be a 7! Please be a 7!"

Suddenly, the entire place went dark, and all electrical devices connected to plug outlets stopped working, including slot machines. The third slot on Syuen's slot machine froze just as the third 7 was about to line up alongside the other two. "ARGH! I WAS ALMOST GOT IT!"

The emergency lights lit up, providing the place with enough light to make out their way around the place. Mustang reappeared in the room and said out loud to everyone, "Please, ladies and gentlemen! Please calm down! Panicking will only bring harm to yourselves! Our technicians will now look into this blackout and get the lights back on in a second! Please stay…"

"It's a Boo!" shouted a woman from among the crowds. This grabbed everyone's attention, and all looked up to see what she was referring to and saw a white spherical ghost floating in the air.

Rapi and Helm were both surprised when they saw the Boo, with the latter, saying, "Is… Is that a ghost?!"

"It's a Boo!" clarified Mario. "Yes, eet eez a ghost! What are they doing here? Wait a minute… I rememba what happened last-a time, so theez means…"

"Are they dangerous?" Rapi asked him, interrupting him.

"Some Boos are simply mischievous and only try to scare people, but some can be very malevolent and cause harm," replied Mario. "Honestly, I've run into more evil Boos than simply mischievous ones..."

More and more Boos appeared in the place, laughing in high pitched voices that sounded mischievous. Mustang looked up at them and said, "My dear little ghost friends, it is not nice of you to show up and scare people like this! I welcome everyone, but if you are going to use your usual spooky antics to frighten everyone, then I'm afraid…" He was interrupted by a Boo materializing in front of him and screaming into his face with a wide open mouth. "EGADS!"

The shock caused Mustang to fall over on his back, and then everyone began screaming in panic as they tried to rush out of the place.

Peach's servants surrounded her, making sure that she was safe. "Don't worry, princess! You're safe with us!" said Toadsworth, right before he got unwillingly dragged out by the crowd running past them. "Hey! Let me go!"

The remaining servants huddled close to Peach, but all of them, including the princess herself, eventually got shoved out of the place by the crowd. The chaos died down eventually, and what was left was a large amount of mess and a seemingly unconscious Mustang lying on the floor with footprints all over his body due to being trampled on by the running crowd. The Boos laughed at their job well done evilly.

As one of the Boos continued to laugh, Mario jumped at him and threw a punch into his face before he could realize it. The punch sent him shooting across the air until he disappeared in a puff of smoke. Mario landed from his jump, and the other Boos turned their attentions to him in shock at what he did. The girls were surprised at what he did as well. "Did he just kill a ghost with a punch?!" asked Helm.

"And he jumped so high just now…! Humans shouldn't be able to jump that high!" said Rapi in awe.

The Boos made angry noises as they charged at Mario, intending on ganging up on him. Mario jumped into the air when they closed in on him from all sides, causing them to ram their faces into each other instead. Mario then fell back down butt first, crushing the Boos underneath.

The other Boos in the room charged at Mario, who stood back up and moved around swiftly to avoid getting hit by them and occasionally throwing punches to destroy them. Donkey Kong cheered from the side. "Go Mario! Knock them all out!"

Bowser and Wario, on the other hand… "Take down Mario! Beat him up! Teach him a lesson!"

Mario continued to fight the Boos until all of them were gone. Looking around and thinking that the coast was clear, Mario said while dusting his hands, "And that's-a that!"

Another Boo appeared behind him and was going to attack him, but a bullet pierced his head from the side, killing it. Mario looked to the side and saw that Helm fired from her sniper rifle at the Boo. Looking up from the rifle's scope, she said, "I didn't think that would actually hit the ghost…!" Mario then thanked and praised her with a thumb up.

The lights came back on again. Noir and Syuen peeked up from the reception table they were hiding behind of the whole time, and the latter asked, "Are the ghosts gone yet…?"

Just when they thought it was over, they heard a somewhat deep and sinister laughter, getting them on their toes. "Now what?" asked Drake.

"That-a voice… I don't-a like-a eet…" said a worried Mario.

Out of nowhere, a large Boo shot up from the floor. Other than being larger, this Boo also wore a golden crown on his head, has blue eyes, and also has a long tongue. Noir and Syuen screamed in terror at the sight of the large Boo, and the former, probably out of instinct due to fear, tossed herself at Syuen, squeezing her body tightly and falling onto the floor with her. Syuen could be heard screaming in pain from behind the reception desk afterwards.

"A giant ghost?!" gasped Rapi in shock.

"It's King Boo! What is he doing here?" asked Bowser.

"Eetz just-a like last-a time! King Boo attacked Casino Delfino, and I had to deal with eet!" said Mario. "Howeva, that-a King Boo was actually a drawing brought-a to life by Bowsa Junia's magic paintbrush that-a he stole from E. Gadd."

"Right, I remember," said Bowser with a nod. "I think we have even more proof that Junior is behind this, but I still don't know who the father is…"

Everyone looked at King Boo in wary, wondering what he was going to do next and what they should do themselves. Luigi peeked out from behind the door leading into the staff room and looked around. "Are da ghosts gone yet?" But when he saw King Boo, he shrieked loudly before hiding in the staff room again.

BGM: Vs. Boss (Super Mario Sunshine)

King Boo let out a sinister laugh before lunging at Mario. He lashed out his tongue like a whip to hit him, but he jumped out of the way. King Boo continued to use his tongue as a whip against Mario, but the plumber skillfully dodged them with acrobatic movements.

Knowing that she can hurt ghosts with her gun, Helm took aim again and fired at the side of King Boo's head. Though the ghost was shot, he didn't die but simply felt pain. He angrily turned to Helm and then lunged at her, which spooked her. Rapi got in front of Helm fast and open fired from her assault rifle into King Boo's face, pushing him back with each shot. King Boo eventually flew back higher into the air while crying in pain with his stubby hands rubbing his face. Mario used this opportunity to jump high into the air, punching him hard.

King Boo went spinning through the air. When he stopped, he angrily thew fireballs at the good guys, and they began running around to avoid them.

"Hey! Don't play with fire, you villain!" Drake shouted while dodging the fireballs.

While Mario was dodging the fireballs, King Boo went over him and dropped down to crush him. Mario was able to leap out of harm's way, but the ghost dropping down created a shockwave that hit and propelled him away. King Boo laughed, seeing that he hit Mario, but before he could float back higher into the air, Donkey Kong lunged at him and punched him hard in the face, sending him through the air.

King Boo recovered from the punch and cried in anger. With a roar-like cry, purple lightning shot down from the air above Donkey, who got zapped badly by it. King Boo continued to summon lightning bolts that rained down all over the place, causing everyone to run for cover. However, one person did not run for cover and instead seemed rather excited at what was happening, and that is Drake.

"Hey ugly! Try and hit me if you dare!" she shouted at King Boo while holding up her shotgun.

Taking her taunting as a death wish, King Boo summoned a lightning bolt onto her. Drake was struck with the full blunt of the lightning bolt, much to the shock of Mario. However, Drake remained standing with a grin on her face. Rather than being harmed by the lightning bolt, she felt energized by it. "Yeah! This is what I'm talking about! I'll show you the power of a villain like me!" she said loudly with excitement as she aimed at King Boo with her shotgun and fired. Rather than bullets, she fired a spread of electric beams.

King Boo was blasted by the projectiles, getting both zapped and blown back. He eventually fell down on his back onto the floor, looking tired. Drake ran and jumped at his face that was looking upwards. As she fell towards his open mouth, she pointed down her shotgun and fired blasts of electricity into it. When the projectiles entered King Boo's mouth, the ghost immediately swelled up and then exploded.

KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

BGM Ends

The explosion released a large amount of smoke as well as brown and white goop that splattered all over the place. Drake came out of the mass of smoke with her shotgun on her shoulder, smiling victoriously. "That's one point for the villain! Haha!"

"Wow… That-a was amazing!" commented Mario in awe.

Syuen, who was looking up from behind the reception desk, smiled proudly. "Of course! That's Matis for you! Missilis's Nikke are the best quality, especially Matis! You can rely on my Nikke to get anything done all the time!"

Looking around, Rapi asked, "Everything is over now, isn't it?"

"Yeah, eet seems so," said Mario, also looking around.

Donkey Kong sat up with a charred body but was otherwise unharmed. "Felt like an anvil hit my head just now…" he said while rubbing his head.

Helm looked at him with a surprised look and said, "How are you all right from getting hit by lightning…?"

Donkey looked at her and replied, "I'm just that tough!"

Crygor and Waluigi entered the room from a door. They were in Mustang's office the entire time for their safety. "What happened here?" asked Crygor. "I heard what appeared to be fighting going on out here and was too afraid to come out and check!" He saw Mustang sitting up from the floor and so ran up to him in concern. "Mustang! What happened to you? Are you all right?"

"I had the fright of my life, but I also saw most of what happened," replied Mustang while rubbing his head. "These brave fellows saved the place from the Boos!"

"We're sorry about da mess…" Mario said as he walked up to them.

"It's all right. What matters most is that you're all safe and that you managed to keep this place from getting annihilated! You really surprised me with your talents!" Mustang said to him happily.

A large amount of policemen then rushed into the building all of a sudden. "Everyone! Don't move!" shouted the officer in charge.

Soon, the authorities had taken over Casino Delfino, looking into what happened and also cleaning up the mess. Ambulances had also arrived to check up on anyone who got injured. There weren't anything serious however.

Bowser looked around and asked, "Where's Peach? Is she safe?" He looked around until he saw Peach's head poking up from behind some people. Smiling happily, he was going to walk up to her and see if she was all right, but then someone snatched Peach from behind and ran off with her. "What?!"

Peach's servants were shocked when they saw what appeared to be Luigi with a body covered completely in blue coloring running off with the princess carried over his shoulder. "Help me!" cried Peach, flailing her limbs and trying to get off her captor's grasp.

"PRINCESS!" cried Toadsworth in horror as he gave chase.

Bowser ran past him at a fast speed after the captor. "Get back here! Only I have the right to capture Peach!"

The Luigi lookalike ran at a fast speed. He also displayed incredible jumping skills to get over anything that was in the way, even though he was carrying a person.

Toadsworth stopped running to catch his breath, being elderly after all. The Toad servants gathered around him to help him up, and Mario and the others appeared as well. "The princess… Someone took her…" said Toadsworth with a heavy breath.

"Dont-a worry! I'll rescue her!" Mario assured him before going after the captor.

"Capturing a princess? That's evil! Totally like a real villain!" commented Drake.

"What… What do we do?" asked a nervous Noir.

"We're going to help her as well," replied Rapi before going after Mario. Helm and Noir went as well, and so did Drake after thinking about it for a few seconds.

"Hey! Don't go!" Syuen shouted at Drake. "You can't leave me here!" Initially not wanting to go, Syuen decided to run after them because she didn't want to be left alone in a world unfamiliar to her.

Bowser ran as fast as he could, and he was surprisingly fast for someone with a large build and a shell on his back. "Dang! That guy sure can run!" he said as he continued to give chase, making sure to keep an eye on "Shadow Luigi's" movements to not loose track of him.

Mario caught up with him moments later. "It's da same thing all over again, when your son polluted this place and framed me!"

"Yeah, yeah! History is repeating itself, except I didn't plan anything this time!" said Bowser frustration. "When I catch the guy doing this, I'm going to give him a peace of my mind for ripping off my idea!"

They followed Shadow Luigi through the entrance of an amusement park. The people within the park were shocked and confused when they heard a screaming woman being carried on the back of a blue person, and with a group of people chasing after them.

"This must be Pinna Park, and that-a can mean only one thing…" observed Mario, looking around while still giving chase.

The captor jumped into a shallow pool of water and ran to the center of it. Bowser, Mario, and the others stopped in front of the pool, watching the villain holding the still struggling Peach. "All right! End of the line, pal!" Bowser said to him in a threatening tone.

Shadow Luigi stuck his tongue, which was colored red like normal, before the place began shaking. "What…?! And earthquake?!" said Noir in shock, looking at the ground.

The floor of the pool begin splitting apart, causing the water to drain. The Luigi and Peach dropped into the hole created, and what appeared to the sound of rising elevator could be heard. "This is da part where a giant robotic version of you appears," Mario reminded Bowser while keeping an eye on the opening pool.

"And I'm going to sue him for using my likeness once I get my hands on him!" said Bowser in anger.

Something large rose from the where the pool once was. Instead of a gigantic version of Bowser like Mario and Bowser were expecting, however, the giant robot that appeared before them resembled that of a crocodile. Its right hand is an arm cannon, while the left hand is a drill.

This sight left Mario and Bowser confused. "What the heck is that?!" they said in unison.

"That's look familiar…" said Donkey Kong while scratching his head.

BGM: Boss (Donkey Kong: Jungle Climber)

The robot pointed its arm cannon at them and began firing a rapid burst of energy balls that made them scatter in various locations to avoid getting shot. Visitors to the park were, needless to say, fleeing for their lives out of the place already.

Mario and Rapi both jumped behind an ice-cream cart for protection. "You stay behind me!" Rapi told Mario before looking up from behind the cart and began firing from her assault rifle at the robot.

Mario, who was crouched down behind her, found himself staring right at her panty-clad butt, which was jiggling nonstop due to the constant recoil of firing her gun. Widening his eyes, he said, "Mamamia…!"

Helm, Noir, and Drake also took cover behind anything they could find to avoid the gunfire of the robot, and they would occasionally look up from their hiding spots to fire at the robot. Their gunfire managed to make dents as well as occasionally boring holes on the robot's body, and sparks and smoke came out from them. Even so, the robot continued to be functional and would fight back by firing at them. The Nikke had to run out of the way, lest they get blown up along with their coverings.

Syuen was hiding inside a teacup ride, cowering in fear with tears in her eyes. "Why did I come all the way here just to die?!"

As the robot was continuing to shoot all over the place, Wario waited for its aim to go elsewhere before charging at it. "Here I come!"

Noticing the fat man approaching, the robot thrust its drill hand at him. Wario avoided it by jumping into the air, and then he ran up the arm as high as he could before leaping towards the body to slam his head against the chest hard. He headbutted the robot so hard that the entire thing actually shook.

Donkey Kong ran to a tree and jumped and grabbed onto one of its branches. He swung in complete circles over and over multiple times, gradually building up speed until he let go of the branch and launched himself towards the robot's head, or at least try to. He didn't manage to fly to the head like he hoped for. Instead, he crashed into a blue plate-like cover high up on the chest, close to the neck. The impact caused cracks to appear on it. As Donkey fell back down, he grabbed onto one of the parts that were sticking out of the robot's body and held onto it.

"I remember now! I've faced this before!" he said to himself as he climb to the blue plate. He slammed his fist against that part over and over, making the cracks larger. However, he lost his grip and fell off when the robot shook its body. Falling back down onto the ground, he backed away from the robot and shouted to the others, "The blue plate I hit! Aim for that spot! That's the weak spot if I remember correctly!"

"Got it!" said Helm as she aimed at that location with her sniper rifle. She pulled the trigger and let loose a bullet that struck the blue plate, shattering it and revealing a glowing red light inside.

"Knew it! It's the same robot as before! K. Rool created this robot using the power of the Crystal Banana!" said Donkey, finally remembering when he last saw this robot.

Hearing this, Bowser said in surprise, "K. Rool? That fat crocodile?! If this robot belongs to him, does that mean…?" He was interrupted by energy balls fired by the robot at him.

"We can talk about who's responsible later! Let's deal with this first!" said Donkey as he ran to a nearby tree to swing on its branches again. However, he didn't get to build up enough speed before the robot blew up the tree, sending him in a random direction instead. "Yipes!"

The robot thrust its drill hand at Noir, who was hiding behind another tree. Noir rolled out of the way, and before the robot pulled away its arm, she leaped onto it and ran up it. "The joint must be the weakest spot!" she thought.

The arm lifted into the air and shook, trying to get her off. Noir almost lost her balance, and in her panic, she leaped towards the joint and slammed onto it using her butt. Surprisingly, a shockwave was generated from the impact, making cracks appear on the joint and the area surrounding it, not to mention pushing the arm downwards.

Noir pointed her shotgun at the cracked joint and fired at point blank, destroying it and separating the front part of the arm from the rest of the body. Noir was blown back into the air by the recoil as well as the explosion created when that part was destroyed, and she landed in some bushes.

"Nice going there, bunny girl!" commented Wario as he ran to the drill hand that fell down. He picked up the severed end of it and began spinning in circles. "Wild Swing Ding!" After swinging multiple times, he let go of his grip and tossed the hand drill first at the robot, impaling it in the belly.

This alone caused major damage to the robot and almost made it fall over. Rapi and Helm then aimed and fired at the red light nonstop until it was destroyed. With that part destroyed combined with the drill impaling its body, the robot malfunctioned and released a large amount of smoke and sparks before various parts of it began bursting in flames.

The cockpit of the robot opened up, and Shadow Luigi jumped out of it with Peach still on his shoulder. He landed safely from his jump and tried to escape, only for the good guys to block his way, making him nervous.

The robot behind them suddenly exploded.

KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

BGM Ends

The shockwave of the explosion sent everyone flying as well as messing up things in the surrounding area badly. Rapi groaned as she got up and then looked around, saying out loud, "Is everyone all right?"

"Everything okey dokey…" said Mario, groaning in pain a bit.

Shadow Luigi slowly sat up, and he looked around for Peach. When he saw her lying on the ground not too far away, he rushed over to her. He was going to touch her when Bowser suddenly grabbed him from behind and flung him away into a signpost. "Not on my watch!" the turtle said to him. The others gathered around Bowser and glared at Shadow Luigi, ready to attack him if he made a move. "All right! Who are you? Out with it already!" Bowser angrily said to him.

Shadow Luigi began 'melting,' revealing his true identity underneath. Even though Mario and Bowser were ready for the possibility of this outcome, they still widened their eyes in shock. "Bowser Junior?!"

"Grrrr! I would've gotten away with Mama Peach if it weren't for you pests!" said the young turtle that is the true identity of Shadow Luigi.

"Eet really eez you afta all…" said Mario. "Everything eez really happening exactly da same as that-a time…!"

"This doesn't make sense! If Junior exists in this world, then does that mean a version of me exists too?" said Bowser in confusion. "Who do you work for? Who is your father?"

"Why'd you ask? It's obvious! My father is the one and only King K. Rool, leader of the Koopa-Kremlings!" replied Bowser Jr.

Not only was Bowser shocked to hear this; Donkey was shocked to hear this as well.

"K. ROOL?!" gasped Donkey.

"KOOPA-KREMLINGS?!" said Bowser loudly.

The crocodile robot they fought is Mega Amp, a boss from Donkey Kong: Jungle Climber. You actually fight it twice, and this one is based on the second battle.

I gave attacks from Luigi's Mansion 3's King Boo to this Mario Sunshine version of King Boo. This allows for more variety in combat, as you saw in this chapter.

I will be taking creative liberty in portraying how Nikke fight. In-game, you only get to see them fire from their guns and nothing else, and it wouldn't be much of an exciting fight if that's the only thing they can do in the story, so I'll try giving them fighting styles and attacks that I think may suit them. Similarly, I will also be taking creative liberties in portraying Burst skills, trying to imagine how they may look like in "real life." While fighting Mega Amp, when Noir created a shockwave with a butt slam, that's supposed to be her Burst where a giant rabbit falls onto the battlefield. I imagined that the rabbit is actually a representation of Noir herself literally jumping at her enemies to crush them with her butt.
