Chapter 9
Red Hot Battle

After defeating Kracko, the Lor Starcutter continued on its way through Another Dimension. Initially flying across the green sky of a grassy field, the spaceship had now entered a whole new area. The sky was red, while the land down below was full of lava pools and volcanoes, most of them active and spewing lava and fireballs nonstop.

Inside the weapon storage room of the Lor, a hairy dog-like creature called a Bernard had just finished providing the Nikke with star ammo. They were objects resembling translucent orbs with stars inside them, and they came in different sizes.

Following the Bernard's instruction, Anis put the star ammo she was given into her rocket launcher. "So… that's it?" Anis asked him.

"Yes. Now you can fire forever and ever and never fear about running out of ammo! That is until you remove the ammo yourself," the Bernard told her.

Blanc loaded her machine gun with the star ammo and said, "Wow! I have a hard time believing that something like this is possible! Bullets that can be used infinitely? This will make combat a whole lot easier!"

Liter picked at a small-sized star ammo she held in between her fingers and said, "Just what exactly is this thing? New technology? Previously undiscovered element?"

"Best not to question it, kid," the Bernard told her. "Star ammo works in mysterious ways, and people are content with that explanation alone! Any expert in sharpshooting can tell you that this is the best thing in the whole universe!"

"I'm not a kid!" Liter told him, sounding offended.

"I'm sure Belorta will love to have something like this!" said Mica, holding and looking at a star ammo larger than Liter's in her hand. She then put it into her rocket launcher.

"So I guess this solves our ammo issue, assuming it really is infinite," said Anis. "Is this lethal?"

"Depends on how you use it," the Bernard told her. "Distance fired at, where you hit, the size of the enemies, and such… It can be harmless or lethal depending on the way you use it. A real pro will know how to make the best use of it!

Kirby walked up to him and asked, "You came here from the Forgotten World?"

The Bernard was confused by this question though. "I beg your pardon…?"

"Never mind," replied Kirby before turning to leave, leaving the dog-like creature even more confused.

As they were walking out the room, Mica asked Kirby, "What were you trying to ask him just now?"

"I previously only met his kind in a different universe called the Forgotten World. At least that's what I call that place… Dunno the real name…" replied Kirby. "I was surprised to see his kind here on Dream Land, since they're not supposed to be native to this place."

"I guess you can thanks Gatekeeper for that…" said Anis under her breath. She shifted her eyes to the side and saw the volcanic scenery outside the window. Walking up to the window and looking outside more clearly, she said, "Geez, this place is hell, and quite literally…"

Mast looked out the window as well and said, "And the pirate ship valiantly sails through the sea of fire, unbothered by the heat! The fiery landscape burns around it, the cries of agony of the poor souls in torment from the flames of hell! Yet the brave pirate captain presses on, enduring the dangers all around him, for he knows that fame and glory lies in wait for him on the other end. It will be a journey worth taking!"

Anis stared at her and said, "You're starting to sound like Guillotine, you know that…?"

Mica, Blanc, and Liter looked out other windows, observing the fiery scenery out there as well. "I wouldn't to go out there without a good reason…" said Liter. "Actually, I wouldn't want to be out there for any reason at all…"

"Yeah, it's much safer in here…" agreed Blanc with a nod.

Mica noted a volcano in the distance that was erupting and spewing fireballs nonstop. "I've never seen a volcano in person before… It's both scary and fascinating!" she said. "I'm sure Belorta will find this interesting as well!"

"Well, they do look impressive from afar," admitted Anis. "As long as you don't get too close, it's okay, I guess..."

As they continued to watch the volcano erupting, they noticed one particular fireball being launched in their direction. "Does that fireball look like it's coming towards us?" asked Blanc.

"Yeah, judging by its trajectory, it does seem to be coming towards us," said Liter with a nod.

"I take it's going to hit us, right?" said Anis.

Kirby looked out a window and at the incoming fireball and said, "It looks like a giant meatball!"

The Nikke, initially having plain expressions on their faces, suddenly freaked out and shouted, "A FIREBALL IS FLYING TOWARDS!"

Talk about a delayed reaction...

The fireball collided into the Lor Starcutter, striking its wing on one side. The wing was detached from the impact, while the fireball bounced off and onto the ground below. The impact caused the Lor to be flung across the air fast and violently, and its passengers were screaming in terror. Inside the navigation room, Magolor and the navigators were panicking as they tried to get the ship under control. Dedede and Ludmilla were on their thrones, hugging each other tightly and screaming.

"We're going to crash!" a Sword Knight told Magolor in panic.

"I know!" replied Magolor. "Try to at least find a good spot to land!"

The navigators continued to take control of the spaceship, and against all odds, they were able to find an empty area down below for it to land. The Lor "belly flopped" onto the ground hard and slid across the rocky terrain some distance before finally coming to a stop.

Inside, the navigators sighed with relief that they managed to land safely. "We… We did it…!" said a Blade Knight.

Magolor wiped his forehead and said, "Never underestimate the Lor…!"

Dedede sighed with relief and said, "That was intense… I thought we were all going to die… Is… the ship all right…?"

Magolor checked the ship's computer for its status. "The left wing was been separated, and we cannot take flight until we put it back on."

"Is it going to be hard?" asked Ludmilla.

"As long as the wing is still in one piece, we can attach it back to its original spot and take flight again," said Magolor as he observed the computer screen more. "Normally, there is a component akin to a homing device on the wing that allows it to come back when it gets separated. While fighting Kracko, we had the ship throw its wings to attack him, and the homing device I said is the reason the wing flew back to the ship after being thrown. The fact that it didn't come back after falling off means that component got damaged…"

"So what must be done now?" asked Dedede.

Magolor turned to him and said, "We can find the detached wing and fix that component, and then it can be called back to the ship. The ship's computer can track every part of its body, so we can know where to find it. I say we send out a team of experts to find the wing, fix the homing device, and then we will call it back to the ship."

Dedede nodded. "If that is what you say, then so be it. Who do you suggest that we send?"

No words could describe how frustrated Anis's feeling right now. When she first saw the fiery landscape through the window, she hoped that she never had to step outside. Yet here she was, traveling alongside a group chosen by Dedede and Magolor to go out into the lava-filled place to look for the Lor Starcutter's missing wing.

Accompanying her were Blanc, Kirby, Meta Knight, Hammering, Drilley, and several other Dream Landers.

Anis had her jacket off, leaving her upper body in just a white tube top. "Ugh… Way to hit the jackpot…" she grumbled as she walked alongside the others in a slouched position. "I can't believe they want me to come out here…"

"They wanted people who are skilled in combat, and we fit the bill," Blanc told her.

"Mica, Mast, and Liter also know how to fight… Why not call them instead…?" said Anis.

"Some people need to stay behind to defend of the ship," Meta Knight told her. "I'm sure the king decided wisely that we should be the ones to retrieve the lost wing. He needed people with combat skills, and you girls have just that. Furthermore, Blanc said she has healing and shielding abilities, which will definitely prove useful, especially in an unknown place where you'll never know how you'll get hurt. Hammering and Drilley are geological experts whose skills should be useful if there are rocks that need to be removed to retrieve the wing. And then we have skilled technicians among us to help with fixing the wing. The king surely has made the correct decision in choosing us!"

"I dunno… Dedede was never really one to make wise decisions… He's pretty dumb at times…" said Kirby.

"Hey! Don't say bad things about the king!" a Gim that was part of the group said to him angrily.

Anis turned to a Sir Kibble who was holding a phone-like device and asked him, "How far are we from that thing we're looking for?"

"It's still a bit of distance away, but shouldn't take more than thirty minutes of walking," replied the Sir Kibble as he looked at the device.

"That's still quite a lot… I just want to get out of this heat as soon as possible…" grumbled Anis.

"We're more tolerant to heat compared to normal humans, so it's not that bad," Blanc told her.

"Doesn't mean it's comfortable though…" said Anis.

The Sir Kibbled continued to look at the device, and he noticed something and told the others, "The radar is indicating that there are a large number of things approaching our direction. Be on a lookout, everyone…"

Hearing this, everyone stopped moving and got into defensive positions while looking around to see what it was that was approaching them. "Guess it's time to put this star ammo thing to use..." thought Anis as she readied her rocket launcher.

A loud sound similar to that of screeching could be heard, alerting everyone, but Anis and Blanc were more surprised than anyone else when they heard this sound. "That sounds a lot like… like…" said a surprised and nervous Blanc.

"Raptures!" said Anis loudly, finishing her sentence for her. No sooner after she said this, a large amount of four-legged machines appeared all over the place, coming out of hiding from behind rocks and also on top of them.

The single eyes, or cores, of the Raptures glowed brightly as they made screeching sounds while advancing in the good guys' direction. The good guys gathered close to each other with looks of nervousness on their faces and got ready to defend themselves.

"What are these strange creatures?!" asked Drilley

"I've never seen anything like this before!" said Hammering

"These are the Raptures that you spoke of?" Meta Knight asked Blanc and Anis.

Anis nodded. "Yes… What are they doing here?! This is the last place I expect them to show up in!"

"Maybe the strange light that brought us here brought them here as well?" suggested Blanc.

"It's coming for us!" shouted the Sword Knight.

The Raptures fired energy blasts at the good guys. Acting fast, Blanc crossed her arms in front of herself, and in doing so, a white force field was generated around her, covering the others and protecting them from the projectiles, which disappeared when they hit the shield.

"Wow! That was cool!" said Kirby in surprise.

"You can count on me to keep you all safe!" Blanc said to him with a wink.

"All right! Blast them all apart!" shouted Anis before firing from her rocket launcher. She took aim at some of the Raptures and pulled the trigger to fire star-shaped projectiles that exploded on impact, blasting them away, though some actually got blown into pieces. Anis kept on firing nonstop, taking out as many as Raptures as she could, and she was surprised that her ammo never ran out. "Infinite ammo is real! All right! I'm loving this!"

Blanc fired from her assault rifle at the Raptures standing in front of her, and when any of their projectiles were about to hit her, she swiftly got out of the way. In fact, Blanc was moving around often as she fired at the Rapture, and moving so fast that none of them could get a clear shot at her.

Meta Knight spread his wings wide open and zipped through the air at an incredibly fast speed. He dashed from one Rapture to another, taking out each of them with swings of his sword. When some Raptures fired at him from the distance, he avoided the attacks and then swung his sword to unleash a crescent-shaped energy beam that soared through the air and struck them.

Drilley fought by opening up her drills, revealing guns inside them that she used for firing rapidly at the Raptures. Hammering used her large hammer to run up close to Raptures to either flatten them from above or send them flying with side swings.

Kirby jumped around to avoid the projectiles fired at him. He eventually made his way close to a Rapture and began inhaling it. The Rapture fought back against the suction, but eventually, it lost its grip on the ground and went into Kirby's mouth. Kirby swallowed it, and in an instant, blue and white armor appeared on his body, along with an orange visor.

Seeing this, Blanc said in surprise, "Whoa! What happened to you?!"

Kirby looked at himself and said, "Cool! It's the mecha ability! I didn't expect swallowing a Rapture would give me this!" He turned to some Raptures standing at the side and fired energy blasts from cannons on his back at them, blasting them into pieces.

More Raptures charged at Kirby to attack him, and he blew them away with his cannons too. One was going to pounce into him from behind, but quick as a flash, Meta Knight dashed at that Rapture and sliced it in two.

The two puffballs stood back to back and faced the Raptures that were surrounding them. "Ready to roll?" Kirby asked him.

"I'm always ready," replied Meta Knight.

The two puffballs then let loose in fighting the Raptures. Kirby fired energy blasts in various ways at the Raptures and even took into the air using rocket engines to take aim from there. Meta Knight moved around at speeds to fast for the Raptures to catch up with and sliced them down before they could realize what was happening. Despite being outnumbered, the two of them had little effort taking down the Raptures.

After blasting away a Rapture, Anis turned to those two and was in awe at how well they were fighting the Raptures. "Wow! Those two are good!"

Hammering noticed this as well and said, "Huh! They really are pros!" A Rapture approached her from behind, but she spun around and sent it flying with a swing of her hammer against its side.

Kirby and Meta Knight took out a large amount of Raptures by themselves, and the number soon dwindled to only a few, and those were eventually taken out by the other Dream Landers in the group. Thinking they've won, they raised their arms in triumph and exclaimed victoriously.

But their celebration was short lived, as something jumped down from a nearby cliff with a thud. Turning their attention to the newcomer, they saw that it was a large Rapture with orb-like structures on its body, and extending from its sides were arms ending with cannons.

As the Dream Landers were asking in shock what that was, Anis said, "It's a Lord-class Rapture! Cucumber!"

"Where? Cucumber?" asked Kirby, looking around for a literal cucumber.

BGM: Vs. Darpa-Dippa-Dupas (Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe)

The Rapture known as Cucumber fired three bombs out from one of its arm cannons. Seeing this, Blanc fired from her assault rifle at the bombs, destroying them as they were heading in their direction. Cucumber pointed its other arm cannon at her and fired a red laser beam. She acted fast and crossed her arms together to protect herself with an energy shield.

"Eat this! Pinpoint Missile!" shouted Anis as she took aim and fired a swirling star at Cucumber, hitting it in the core.

The Rapture took a step back from getting hit, and then its core began to glow brightly in red color. Shocked to see this, Anis turned to the others and shouted, "Quick! Run for cover!"

"Don't worry! I'll protect everyone!" said Blanc as she held up her force shield.

Everyone backed away to a safer distance and also hid behind rocks they could find. Cucumber fired a larger red beam that struck Blanc's shield. The shield was able to nullify the beam, but it was also destroyed, causing Blanc to be blown backwards and landing on her back.

"You all right?!" Drilley asked her while running up to her.

Blanc sat up and rubbed the back of her head, saying, "Yeah, no big deal…"

Anis continued to fire from her rocket launcher at Cucumber. As she was doing so, Kirby and Meta Knight both dashed past her and headed for the Rapture. "Hey! Don't get too reckless!" she called out to them.

Kirby covered his mechanical fist in energy and slammed it against Cucumber's core, while Meta Knight swung his sword at one of its arm cannons, but he failed to cut through it.

Cucumber slid back from the powerful punch to its core. It aimed the arm cannon Meta Knight tried to cut off at Kirby and fired a beam, but the latter jumped out of the way. It aimed at Meta Knight next and fired, only to miss as well.

Kirby fired from his cannons several energy balls, blasting it in various parts of its body, while Meta Knight slashed the air at a fast speed multiple times to fire several sword beams. The onslaught of projectiles chipped away Cucumber's metallic skin, making it look more and more damaged.

Cucumber leaped up high into the air and landed in another place to get away from those two's attacks. It charged up its core and readied to fire its stronger laser beam attack.

"You're not the only one who can do that!" said Kirby as his cannons began charging up.

However, Meta Knight knew that Kirby wouldn't be able to charge up in time before Cucumber finishes, so he took flight at the Rapture as fast as he could. Moments before the Rapture was going to fire its beam, he thrust the tip of his sword against its core. This disrupted Cucumber's attack and also created an explosion that propelled Meta Knight away. Cucumber awkwardly took several steps back with its core damaged quite badly, and red electricity was leaking out of it.

At this point, Kirby was done charging and let a pair of powerful beams from his cannons. "HIYA!" The beams traveled across the air at a fast speed and collided with Cucumber, pushing the Rapture backwards across the place and burning its entire body with plasma energy until it exploded.

KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Everyone was amazed that Kirby and Meta Knight managed to defeat the Rapture. Meta Knight struck a victorious pose with his sword, while Kirby danced in a manner that largely involved jumping around.

The others ran up to them and praised them nonstop about their incredible combat skills and victory.

"Wow! That was awesome! You two are da bomb!"

"You defeated that monster with ease! You're awesome!"

"You rock!"

"The opponent wasn't strong, that's all," said Meta Knight in response to those praises.

"Always happy to help!" said Kirby happily.

"Wow… I didn't expect someone like you to be able to destroy a Lord-class Rapture…" said Anis in disbelief.

"You two were really awesome! It's like you have lots of experience in combat!" Blanc said to them.

"Well, I have been fighting for a long time to save Dream Land and such," said Kirby. "I guess I did get a lot of experience from that."

"I've chosen the path of a warrior, so I must make sure to hone my skills at all times," said Meta Knight.

After they were done praising Kirby and Meta Knight, the group decided to press on to look for the wing.

After several more minutes of walking through the fiery landscape, the group eventually came upon the Lor Starcutter's missing wing. It was embedded into the side of a large rock. "There is it," said the Sir Kibble, looking up from his phone-like device.

"Great! Now get this thing patched as soon as possible so we can return to the ship soon! I'm going to take a cold shower once we're back!" said Anis impatiently.

Hammering and Drilley approached the wing and observed how it was embedded into the rock, and then Hammering turned to the others and said, "Stand back. I'm going to demolish this rock so the wing can be removed."

"Be careful not to destroy it!" the Gim told her.

"I'm a pro, so you can bet that I won't!" said Hammering as she readied her hammer. Drilley moved away from the place as Hammering pulled back her hammer as far as she could before taking a swing at the rock. With a single strike, large amount of cracks spread across the rock. Hammering gave it a second strike, finally causing the rock to break apart completely, while the wing fell to the ground. "Done! That was easy!"

The other Dream Landers ran up to the wing to inspect it. A Capsule J2 observed a specific part of the wing and said, "Yep, the part responsible for making it return to the Lor is damaged, but from the looks of it, it's not very serious. Shouldn't take long to get it fixed…"

"That's good to know," said Anis. "The sooner we get this done with, the…"

Before she could finish speaking, something jumped out from a pool of lava nearby and landed close to them with a loud thud. Turning to the thing, the group was surprised to see a fat, round fish-like creature with horns. "What is that?!" asked Blanc in surprise.

"Hmmm… Looks like a lot like a monster I've fought before…" said Kirby, trying to recall what it was.

BGM: Hot! Elemental Boss Battle (Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe)

The fat round creature known as Fiery Puffer took a deep breath and then breathed a large stream of fire in their direction. Blanc hurriedly got in front of everyone and crossed her arms to form a shield that protected them.

After Fiery Puffer was finished breathing fire, it puffed up to grow to a larger size before rolling towards them like a bowling ball. Everyone screamed in shock as he or she hurriedly got out of the way to avoid getting run over by him.

"I don't who or what you are, but you better not make things more annoying than it already is! Eat this!" said Anis in anger and frustration as she fired stars from her rocket launcher at Fiery Puffer.

The stars exploded when it hit Fiery Puffy, causing him to bounce back some distance. The fat fish landed with a thud and bellowed loudly before bouncing high into the air and in her direction. Anis looked up in horror before running out of the way. Fiery Puffer landed hard and created a fiery shockwave that sent her flying.

"Yeow!" cried Anis as she hit the ground. There was a bit of fire on her body, so she slapped the burning spots fast and hard to put them out.

"You monster! Take this!" said Hammering loudly as she ran towards Fiery Puffer and hit him with her hammer from the side. Fiery Puffer was knocked away into a rock, but he bounced off it and into the air, falling towards Hammering, who got out of the way to avoid getting crushed, only to ended up getting injured the same way as Anis.

Still with his mecha ability on him, Kirby used rocket engines to fly into the air and fired energy blasts from his cannons at Fiery Puffer rapidly. The fat fish bellowed in pain as he took those hits to his body. He took in a large gulp of air to inflate his body several times, and despite Kirby still shooting him, he no longer seems to be in pain, as if the inflation of his body made his skin tougher as well.

Fiery Puffer let loose a massive stream of fire in Kirby's direction, and the puffball desperately flew away. The fiery fat fish moved the flamethrower after him, and the others found themselves having to run as well, though some of them ended up getting engulfed in flames and burned. As Fiery Puffer continued to spew fire, his body gradually shrunk in size until he was back to normal, and then he stopped the attack while panting heavily.

Kirby landed from his flight and said, "Phew… That was close…"

"Kirby! Your back is on fire!" Meta Knight called out to him.

"Huh?" Kirby looked around to see what Meta Knight was talking about, and then he felt fire burning on his back. He screamed while running around like crazy, trying to put out the fire somehow. "YEOW! HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT!"

He ran around aimlessly and recklessly, eventually tripping on a rock and rolling forward at a fast speed until he hit a larger rock and came to a stop. A star popped out of his body as his mecha ability disappeared, and the rolling also managed to put out the fire. "Ow… That hurts…" he groaned while rubbing his head.

The Gim and the Sir Kibble were both burned by Fiery Puffer's flamethrower, though they managed to put it out by rolling around on the ground. However, they were left badly burned and in great pain. "Oh no!" Blanc gasped when she saw their condition. Running close to them, she said, "Don't worry; I'll bring your health back to normal!" She then proceeded to blow a kiss using both hands, releasing white glowing hearts when she did so.

The white hearts floated over to the Sir Kibble and the Gim, instantly causing their bodies to glow and their burnt wounds to disappear. In just a few seconds, they felt themselves more energetic than before. "Wow! I feel much better than before!" said the Gim in surprise as he jumped back on his feet and swung around his yo-yo.

"Thanks a lot, Miss Bunny Girl!" the Sir Kibble said to Blanc.

"Always happy to help and bring you good luck!" Blanc said to them with a wink.

The Fiery Puffer attacked his fire breath again. Meta Knight dodged it and flew along its side towards the fat fish, slashing him in the side of the body. Fiery Puffer let out a painful cry as he stopped the attack, and while his mouth was wide open, Anis fired a star into it. The star exploded inside his body, causing him to expand in size comically and then shrink back down to normal again.

Hammering ran at Fiery Puffer afterwards and swung her hammer into him, knocking him quite a distance into the air. While the fish was in the air, Drilley got below it and fired both her drills at him. The drills spun rapidly as they rose through the air until they collided with Fiery Puffer, resulting in a large explosion.

KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

BGM Ends

Fiery Puffer was nowhere to be seen when the explosion disappeared, and everyone cheered happily over finally defeating the monster.

"Yay! You did it!" Kirby said to Drilley as he walked up to her.

Drilley placed her hands on her hips and said with a smug expression, "That was nothing!"

Anis approached her and noted the now drill-less mechanical pack on her back. "That's cool and all, but what about your missing drills?"

A new set of drills seemingly appeared out of nowhere in the once empty spots immediately after Anis said that. Drilley looked at her and asked, "What do you mean?"

"Oh… Um… Never mind…" said Anis, seeing that her question got answered already.

For the next several minutes, the Dream Landers with engineering skills busied themselves with fixing the Lor's wing, while the others kept watch of the place to make sure there weren't more enemies.

"It's done!" said the Capsule J2 as he moved back from the wing. "Contact Magolor and let him know we got it fixed."

"Got it!" said the Sir Kibble. He then used the device he was carrying as a phone to contact Magolor. "Magolor, it's us, the team sent to find the Lor's wing. We found and fixed it! Yep! Try calling it back now."

A few seconds after he made the call, the wing suddenly took off into the air while spinning and headed back in the direction they previously came from, the direction where the Lor is.

"Whoa…!" said Blanc in surprise as she watched the wing disappear into the distance.

"And there it goes!" said Kirby.

"Well, that's a wrap! Let's go back to the ship and not let the others wait!" said the Capsule J2.

"Yeah, the sooner we get out of this heat, the better…" said Anis.

"Great job!" Dedede said to the team after they returned inside the Lor Starcutter. "You valiant heroes did well fixing the ship! I hope everything wasn't too hard."

"Easy as cake!" replied Kirby.

"Could've gone better…" replied Anis.

"Magolor said the ship is now functional again. It's all thanks to your efforts! You deserve a nice prize!" Dedede told them. "Chef Kawasaki made some cold treats, so treat yourself to them as much as you like! It must be hot out there, so you'll definitely want something cold and delicious now!"

"Yay! Cold treats!" said Kirby happily as he ran off by himself in the direction of the kitchen.

"Don't eat up everything yourself!" Anis called out to him.

Soon afterwards, Anis and Blanc are back in one of the living quarters, eating shaved ice that Chef Kawasaki made. The other Nikke were there as well, also eating shaved ice. "Surprised to hear that Raptures are here as well…" said Liter while eating orange flavored shaved ice.

"Maybe that strange light also transported them here," said Mica while eating strawberry flavored shaved ice.

"You really should've seen Kirby and Meta Knight take down a Lord-class Rapture! They totally rock!" Blanc told the others. She was also eating strawberry shaved ice.

"Yeah, I'm honestly surprised by how good they are in fighting…" said Anis, who had cream soda on her shaved ice. "You can't tell at all because of their round, cartoony bodies… They really weren't kidding when they talked about how good they are at fighting!"

Curious, the Nikke got up and left the room to go into the hallway. Looking out the windows, they were surprised that the Lor Starcutter was no longer flying across a red sky of a land filled with lava, but instead, a blue sky of a land filled with ice and snow.

Mica's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Wow! Look at all the snow!"

"Out of the furnace, into the freezer…" said Anis in disbelief.

Since Raptures are machines, I figured giving Kirby the mecha ability makes the most sense before of all the energy-based attacks he can use, similar to Raptures.

Blanc's in-game skills involve healing and creating shields, hence you see her doing those things in this chapter. I think I did a pretty good job trying to portray how those skills are used in "real life." Blowing kisses to heal people does fit her character if you ask me!

Will there be more Raptures showing up? And in every world/arc? Let's just say it's something you should be anticipating in a story about Nikke!
