Chapter 47
The Demon King
Ganondorf and Guillotine stood face to face atop the cliff that overlooked the battlefield down below. Noticing the Master Sword she was holding and knowing what it was, he said to her, "You're too young to be holding the sword of legends and even be on this battlefield. Leave now before you get hurt. This is me being merciful and giving you the chance to live, so don't force my hands."
"You look down at me because of my appearance, but such an underestimation will be the end of you, for my skills far surpass anyone my age! And I am older than I look! With the legendary weapon in my hand and the powers I have as the One-Winged Dark Lord, I shall slay you and bring peace back to this world! Hiya!"
With a shout, Guillotine charged at Ganondorf, who sighed and said, "Don't blame me for not warning you."

Getting close to Ganondorf, Guillotine swung the Master Sword, only for it to be blocked by Ganondorf in an almost casual manner with his own sword. Guillotine pulled back for a second before swinging again, but the attack was blocked as well. Not giving up there, she delivered multiple strikes, but each strike was effortlessly blocked by Ganondorf, who did not even budge a centimeter from his location.
Eventually, Ganondorf moved forward while continuing to block Guillotine's sword strikes, and she found herself being the one to move back as he drew closer. She leaped back a distance from him before running at him with her sword pointing at him, to which he countered by swinging up his sword to disarm her and knock her back on her rear.
The Master Sword came spinning back down, plunging into the ground next to her. She pulled it back out and got into fighting stance again. Ganondorf said to her, "You can see now that you are no match for me!"
"You don't know anything yet!" said Guillotine. Remembering what Link did when she saw him fighting in Nohr, she raised the Master Sword into the air, allowing the blade to glow, and then swung it down to release a sword beam that Ganondorf managed to block with his sword.
She ran around him, swinging her sword to shoot sword beams at him constantly, but he was able to block every single one of them. She then jumped high into the air and fell towards him. Ganondorf raised his sword, and their blades clashed against each other hard. Guillotine fell back onto the ground and rushed at him, pressing forward while swinging the Master Sword. Ganondorf blocked them and began taking steps back as she pressed forward.
Ganondorf's sword began to glow with purple light, and Guillotine sensed danger, so she jumped out of the way just as the Demon King brought down his blade to the ground and sent forth a dark energy wave that left behind a gash on the ground, much to her shock.
The sight of this made her tremble in fright, so much that she almost lost concentration on fighting Ganondorf. She hurriedly put her focus back on the Demon King just in time to see him shooting a ball of electricity out of his hand at her. Acting out of desperation, she swung her sword at the incoming projectile and batted it away to the side. Ganondorf dashed at her afterwards and clashed blades with her, and with his strength, he pushed her back at a fast speed.
The Demon King backed her up against a rock, and then with his sword still pushing against her sword, he pulled back his other hand and charged up his fist with dark energy before unleashing a powerful punch against her abdomen, one so strong that it shattered the rock behind her and sent her flying back.
Guillotine flew back quite a distance and tumbled onto the ground violently. She coughed in pain as she struggled to get up, but the pain was too immense for her to stand back up properly. "He's… He's too strong for me…!" she thought. "I should have brought my Unbridled Solitude with me! I'm better at fighting with that!"
"Now you realize that you're no match for me!" Ganondorf said while approaching her.
Guillotine looked at him with a face full of fear. Yet at the same time, there was a determination within her that told her not to give up, at least hold up until Link arrived. Not wanting to give up so easily, she mustered all her strength and courage to stand back up and got into a fighting stance, pointing the Master Sword at Ganondorf. "Don't… Don't underestimate me! I haven't even gotten serious yet!" she told him.
"You have fear, and that is natural when standing before an overwhelming enemy. Right now, you are either very persistent and courageous to continue fighting, or you are a fool to think you stand a chance against me! Either way, I have decided to end your life here. You only have your own foolishness to blame!" Ganondorf said to her.
"I told you not to underestimate me!" shouted Guillotine before charging at him. She swung her blade multiple times from different directions and angles, but each hit was blocked by his blade.
Ganondorf also fought back against Guillotine, and despite her best effort to hold her ground and block his sword swings, he struck with such a force that she almost fell on her back multiple times, and this was with her strength as a Nikke. Thankfully, she also had quick reflexes that allowed her to dodge blows that would otherwise be fatal.
In the midst of blocking and avoiding Ganondorf's blows Guillotine did something that wouldn't otherwise have been useful against a non-Nikke opponent like him, yet she did it out of desperation. She lifted up her eyepatch, revealing the eye she used stun and knock out Nikke. When she did so, the blade of the Master Sword unexpectedly let out a bright golden glow that in turn caused her previously concealed eye to glow in the same color as well.
When Ganondorf was exposed to the light, the Demon King found himself stunned and in pain from head to toe. Screaming, he backed away some steps and felt his entire body becoming numb and rendering him a hard time to move.
Guillotine herself was surprised by what she pulled off, as this was not supposed to happen against an opponent like him. Rather than simply being still and wondering what happened, she used this opportunity to close in on him and swing her sword, slashing him across the body and knocking him on his back.
After that, Guillotine looked at the Master Sword while holding one hand on her once again concealed eye. "What… What just happened? I felt as if the legendary sword resonated with my eye…! What manner of sorcery is this?!" she wondered.
Despite the wound inflicted on him, Ganondorf stood back up like nothing actually happened. "What was that trick you pull off just now?" he asked her.
Pretending to be in the know, Guillotine sported a smug look on her face and said, "Are you surprised by that? You have just witnessed the power of the One-Winged Dark Lord!"
"Looks like you have some tricks up your sleeves, but that won't be enough to save you!" said Ganondorf.
Guillotine put her hand on her eyepatch and readied to remove it again, but then she remembered what would happen if she used it too often in a short period of time. "No, I can't keep on using this. I still don't fully understand what happened just now, and if anything, it may do more harm to me than good and turn me into an Irregular…" she thought.
"What's the matter? Not going to use your secret weapon again?" Ganondorf asked her as he ran up to her and clashed blades with her.
Guillotine once again found herself fighting desperately for her life. She swung her sword wildly, albeit still with a bit of skill, against Ganondorf's blade, but at the same time found herself being pushed back with no chance of properly fighting back.
Ganondorf eventually pushed her back with a strong shove of his sword against her blade and then stomped the ground to unleash a shockwave that sent her flying into the air. While she was still in the air, Ganondorf lunged at her and thrust his sword at her, aiming for the chest. She hurriedly tried to deflect the attack, but was only able to partially do so. Instead of going for her chest or anywhere in the center, she was able to make tilt Ganondorf's sword to the side so that it cut a bit of the side of her waist instead.
She tumbled onto the ground, crying in pain with her hand on the part that cut. Though small, it was still a painful blow nonetheless. Not stopping there, Ganondorf leaped into the air and fell towards her with his sword pointing down at her to impale her, and he would've been successful had not Link suddenly leap into the scene literally, clashing the Light Brand with Ganondorf's sword and creating an explosion of light that propelled them in opposite directions.
Ganondorf looked at Link and said, "And you are?"
Rather than answering him, Link got down next to Guillotine in concern and said, "Are you all right?"
"Don't worry; something like that won't put down a Nikke like me at all," said Guillotine, trying her best to ignore her pain as she got up on one knee. She then handed him the Master Sword. "Here, you can have it back."
"Thanks, and you're probably want these two," said Link as he not only handed her the Light Brand, but also a machine gun.
"That's my gun! Where did you get it from?" she asked him in surprise.
"I brought it along before we left and kept it in the Master Cycle's item compartment, thinking you may probably be more comfortable fighting with this," he told her.
"You have a point. Nikke are more suited for fighting long range after all," said Guillotine, taking both weapons from him after giving him the Master Sword.
Looking at Ganondorf, Link said, "C'mon, let's take him down together!"
"It doesn't matter how many of there are you! You will not be winning this!" said Ganondorf with confidence.
"I have experience dealing with you, so this won't be too hard for me!" said Link before charging at Ganondorf.
Both sides clashed their weapons against each other and were engaged in an intense sword fight where neither side seems to be getting the upper hand. Guillotine was too impressed by their fight at first to do anything, but then she returned to her senses and decided to help. Running behind Ganondorf, she took aim with Unbridled Solitude and open fired at his back.
Ganondorf cried in pain when he was shot and was distracted from fighting Link temporarily, and this gave latter the chance to hack and slash away against his body. Ganondorf hurriedly backed away after receiving multiple hits that should be fatal or at least make him be in too much pain to stand any longer, yet he remained on his feet.
"Dragon of the Deep!" shouted Guillotine as a purple "magic circle" appeared at the front of a purple, and then a mass of energy resembling a dragon was fired at Ganondorf. The latter held up his sword for defense, but an explosion rocked him on his back when it collided with him.
Link then leaped at him with his sword raised over his head, ready to bring it down onto the Demon King. Ganondorf acted fast and rolled away, getting back on his feet. Link immediately turned to him after landing from his jump and swung his sword like crazy, striking the Demon King's blade multiple times nonstop.
Both sides kept this up for a while until they eventually backed away from each other, and Ganondorf said with a smile on his face, "I haven't had a thrilling battle since forever! You must be the real chosen hero, the one prophesied to defeat me! Very well, I shall grant you something even more challenging than this!"
A red aura appeared around him, and then a large amount of burst out around him, causing his hair to glow brightly in red color as well as becoming longer. Guillotine was surprised by this and commented about the final boss entering his second phase, while Link remained unfazed, having witnessed this before.
"No more playing around! This time, I'll be taking both your heads!" said the powered up Ganondorf.

Raising his sword into the air, Ganondorf created and fired balls of dark energy that spread out in every direction. Link and Guillotine dodged them, and the latter ran towards the Demon King while firing from her machine gun. Though some of the initial bullets struck him, Ganondorf was unfazed for the most part and merely took a couple of steps back before using his blade to deflect the rest of the shots.
He charged at Guillotine, swinging his sword at her, but she leaped out of the way while still firing at him. Link swung his sword at him from the side, but he blocked it in time and then engaged in a sword fight with him. This time, he swung with blows stronger than before that made Link almost lose his footing, but he planted his feet firmly against the ground.
Ganondorf's blade glowed with dark energy, and sensing danger, Link hurriedly rolled to the side as Ganondorf swung his sword to unleash a dark energy wave. Link then did something similar, making his blade glow with bluish-white light before swinging it to shoot a sword beam at Ganondorf, who easily deflected it before leaping at him with his sword raised over his head. Link got away, and when Ganondorf landed, a powerful shockwave was created that blew the former farther back.
Ganondorf swung his sword against the air again, this time shooting several energy balls at once at him. Link pulled his sword to the side, and when they were close to hitting him, he performed a spinning sword attack that managed to send the projectiles flying in different directions, some of them flying back to Ganondorf, who held up his sword and arms for defense. He actually felt pain from getting hit by his homecoming attack.
This gave Guillotine the opportunity to get close to him from behind. With her Light Brand in her hand, he leaped at his back and stabbed him in the shoulder, making him cry in pain. He thrashed around a bit until she was shaken off, and then she immediately switched to her machine gun upon landing and fired at him from a close range.
Despite getting shot constantly, Ganondorf still closed in on her for the kill, and in response, she swung her Light Brand, creating a flash of that blinded him as well as firing a light blade that struck him in the chest.
Link closed in on him next, slashing him once across the body before he clashed blades with him, ignoring his pain. As they pushed against each other, Guillotine let loose bullets on Ganondorf from the side, and though his biology as the Demon King kept him from dying from all those gunfire, it was still painful to be shot like this.
Link pushed him back several steps and then held up the Master Sword to let it glow before slashing the air to fire a sword beam, striking Ganondorf. In rage, Ganondorf leaped at him and slammed his sword against the ground, creating a shockwave that both Link and Guillotine jumped over. The both of them then closed in on Ganondorf, attacking with their swords together with great intensity. Because of his injuries, Ganondorf was having a hard time keeping up the pace.
The two eventually jumped back from him and pulled back their swords, letting their blades glow so that they could fire projectiles at Ganondorf. Though he managed to block it with his sword, the power the sword beams almost made him fall over. As he was struggling to regain balance, the two charged at him together, slashing him in both sides of the body.

Ganondorf screamed in pain, and yet he remained standing, refusing to fall over. He was filled with rage as he said, "Enough! I'm not going to lose to mortals like you! If I have to give up everything to destroy you, then so be it!" He then grabbed the piece of jewelry on his forehead all this time and forcefully yanked it off.
When Link saw what he was doing, he was shocked. "The Secret Stone! He's going to…!" Without finishing his quote, he rushed towards Ganondorf just as the Demon King put it into his mouth. "Oh no! I'm too late!"
After swallowing what Link referred to as the Secret Stone, a large amount of black and red fire appeared around him, blowing Link back. He fell to the ground with a look of horror and said, "Not again!"
"What… What's happening?! I have a bad feeling about this!" said Guillotine with a look of shock.
Back in the rest of the battlefield, the battle against the arm of monsters continued to rage on when suddenly everyone's attention was directed to a large explosion of energy coming from atop a cliff. Everyone turned to look at what was happening, and where surprised to see a column of purple light rising high into the air.
"What… What is that?!" said Crown in shock.
When the column of light died down, a large serpentine dragon clad in black was seen floating high in the air, letting out a loud roar that could be heard for miles and even shake everyone to his or her core. All were in shock, including the monsters, at the sight of the massive beast as it began snaking around in the air.
Seeing this, Exia said, "That… That must be the final boss!"
On the ground directly below the dragon, Link and Guillotine looked up at it with looks of shock and horror. "The Demon King has unleashed his final and ultimate form!" said Guillotine in awe.
Memories came back to Link in regards to how he previously defeated Ganondorf. Putting aside thoughts of frustration that history was repeating itself, Link said, "Not the first time I've dealt with this, so we can definitely win this, no matter what it takes!"
