Please please please do not come at me for the inconsistencies/mistakes in the duels. I am not good at all at making real duels happen. I am very sorry about that...

R&R and enjoy Chap.2!

The city was eerily quiet, the dark streets offering no comfort as Yuto, Yuri, and Yugo continued

their frantic search for Yuya. Each turn, each corner they rounded, brought more frustration. The

three of them had split up hours ago, desperately hoping to find him, but Yuya's disappearance

had left a deep pit of unease gnawing at them.

"We should've seen it," Yuto muttered, running a hand through his hair. "He was cracking, and

none of us noticed."

Yugo was quiet, walking a few paces behind. His mind was racing with guilt, his thoughts

echoing with the harsh words he'd thrown at Yuya earlier. "I shouldn't have... I shouldn't have

said those things."

Yuri, ever the stoic one, glanced over at his two companions. "We can't change the past. We

need to focus on finding him now. We can fix this later."

But Yuto's eyes were shadowed with doubt. "Can we? What if we've already lost him?"

They walked in silence for a while, their thoughts heavy. But then, a chilling sound pierced the

air—a low, mocking laugh.

The three immediately snapped to attention. From the shadows of a nearby alley, a figure

cloaked in dark robes appeared. A Duel Disk, glowing with a sinister aura, flickered into view, as

the figure's voice echoed through the night.

"I've been waiting for you."

In the blink of an eye, the figure grabbed Yugo by the arm and pulled him toward the shadows,

their grip unyielding.

"Yugo!" Yuto cried, his eyes wide in panic. "No!"

But the figure was already walking away, dragging Yugo into the alley.

"We need to duel," Yuri said, his voice calm but firm, already reaching for his own Duel Disk.

"It's the only way to save him."

"Let's Duel!"

The shadowed figure's Duel Disk glowed darkly as they turned around and drew another card,

their smile more a sneer than anything else. "I summon Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite (ATK:

1600)." The wind swirled violently as the monster appeared, its wings fluttering ominously. "And

with Zephyros' effect, I return a card to my hand."

Yuto clenched his fists. This duel was not going in their favor "That's fine. I use The Phantom

Knights of Fragile Armor and The Phantom Knights of Shadow Cavalery to build the overlay

network! I XYZ summon! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon (ATK: 2500), in Attack Mode!"

A roar of darkness filled the air as Dark Rebellion appeared, its form crackling with energy. The

figure smirked, then flicked their wrist.

"Not so fast. I activate Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind (ATK: 1300), Special Summoned from my

hand!"

The winds howled as Gale appeared, it's dark energy mixing with Zephyros' to create a storm of

power. The figure grinned wickedly. "I tune Zephyros and Gale together to Synchro Summon

Blackwing - Nothung the Starlight (ATK: 2300)."

Nothung landed on the field with a massive crash, it's dark wings creating a shockwave that

reverberated through the ground.

Yuto gritted his teeth. "I activate Dark Rebellion's effect. I detach an Overlay Unit to halve your

monster's attack and add it to my own!"

Dark Rebellion roared, the darkness surrounding it intensifying as it absorbed the energy of

Nothung, boosting its attack to a terrifying 4100. With a fierce roar, it lunged forward, sending

Nothung crashing to the ground.

The figure's expression twisted with frustration. "You think you've won? I'll show you real power."

The figure placed another card onto their Duel Disk. "I summon Blackwing - Blizzard the Far

North (ATK: 1300). Now, I activate his effect to Special Summon Blackwing - Vayu the Emblem

of Honor (ATK: 1200) from my graveyard!"

The ground trembled as Blizzard and Vayu appeared in a flash of dark energy. "Now, I tune my

Blizzard with Vayu to Synchro Summon Blackwing - Armed Wing (ATK: 2300)!"

Armed Wing soared into the sky, ready to strike. "Go, Armed Wing! Destroy Dark Rebellion!"

But just as Armed Wing prepared for its attack, Yuri stepped forward. "Not so fast. I activate my

spell: Super Polymerization! I fuse Predaplant Flytrap and your Armed Wing!" Both monsters

rose up and fused together.

A swirl of dark energy erupted as Starving Venom Fusion Dragon (ATK: 2800) appeared.

"Your move," Yuri called out, his eyes still locked on the figure, knowing that they were close to

winning. But the mysterious figure, now desperate, drew another card.

"I activate Blackwing - Tamer – Obsidian Hawk Joe (ATK: 1700) from my hand! I'll special

summon him to the field."

Yet another Blackwing monster appeared, the wind growing stronger. The figure wasn't done

yet.

"I tune my Obsidian Hawk Joe with Blizzard to Synchro Summon Blackwing - Nothung the

Starlight (ATK: 2300), again!"

The battlefield rumbled with energy as the Blackwing monster reappeared. The figure's eyes

narrowed. "I then play my two traps, Spellbinding Circle, and Shadow Spell. These cards stop

both of your monsters from attacking, or changing to defense mode! You think you've won? Try

to stop me now."

But just as the two brothers braced themselves for the inevitable final attack, the ground shook

with the force of an unexpected energy surge.

A roar echoed through the alley. Suddenly, a massive, shadowy figure emerged from the

darkness.

Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon (ATK: 2500) landed in a flash of dark light, its form corrupted, the

familiar bright aura now replaced with a malevolent energy. It stared down the remaining

Blackwing monster with a sinister gleam in its eyes.

The figure's face twisted in confusion. "What... is this?!"

With a flash of light, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon unleashed a powerful blast of energy,

disintegrating Blackwing - Nothung the Starlight and sending the mysterious figure flying into the

shadows.

But the battle wasn't over. The explosion from the destruction sent a shockwave rippling across

the battlefield, threatening to overwhelm everything in its wake.

Just as the explosion engulfed Yugo, a sudden dark barrier exploded around him. Dark magic

pulsed in the air, wrapping Yugo in a protective cocoon of shadows that absorbed the force of

the blast. When the dust cleared, Yugo was untouched, standing in the same spot, wide-eyed in

shock.

The others turned to see the source of the magic: the shadowy figure of Odd-Eyes Pendulum

Dragon hovering above them, the dark aura swirling around it like a storm. Its malicious energy

flickered, its eyes now glowing with something darker, deeper than they had ever seen.

The figure vanished as quickly as it had appeared.

The three boys stood there in stunned silence. Their breaths were ragged, their hearts

pounding. The threat had been defeated, but there were too many questions, too many things

they didn't understand.

Before they could speak, they heard the soft sound of footsteps fading away.

They turned in the direction of the footsteps. A lone figure, silhouetted in the moonlight, walked

away from them.

"Yuya...?" Yuto whispered, but it was too late.

Yuya didn't answer. He just kept walking, his steps slow, heavy, and distant. His face was

hidden in shadow, but the silence around him spoke volumes.

And then, his voice, colder than it had ever been, broke through the quiet night.

"...I guess, in the end, it doesn't matter…"
