This is the first chapter of my sequel to A New Day, which I plan to continue to give the comics more time to produce more content. Also, if anyone has any ideas for any supervillains, please send the message, providing their names, powers, and a bit about their backstory.

May Parker woke up one morning and found her twin sister April was already up and applying her make-up. In truth, she wasn't really her twin sister, but a clone or vice versa, but they treated each other like sisters either way.

May was, in fact, the daughter of Spider-Man, and she had been kidnapped shortly after she was born by her father's archenemy Norman Osborn. He then cloned her and ordered her termination, but thankfully, the man that Norman handed her over ignored that order and placed her in an orphanage.

Her parents discovered her five years later, a few months after they discovered April, and they adopted her. Both of them shared the best qualities of their parents, along with their father's superpowers. Like their father, they now save the city from crime as Spider-Girl and Wild Spider.

"Morning, sis," said April.

"Morning, but tell me, is there any real point applying make-up considering you're able to shape-shift?" May asked as she began to get changed.

As it turned out, Norman Osborn wasn't satisfied with making a clone of his archenemy, but he also injected symbiont DNA into her DNA structure. This was the same symbiont that caused their parents so much grief in the past. As a result, she was able to change her physical format will, but it made her far more aggressive.

"You know Dad doesn't like it when I shape-shift unnecessarily," April reminded her. "You know he didn't like it when I changed my hair to match Mom's."

It was true that recently April had changed her hair to match their mother's, and Dad nearly through a fit.

"I think Dad was more upset that you didn't warn him," said May.

"I know, Mom said the same thing."

"Well, I guess I'll see you at breakfast," said May, walking out of their bedroom.

She soon went to the living room, where Dad was already preparing breakfast. Dad had recently just grown a beard, though Mom wasn't quite taken to it, stating that it hid quite a bit of his handsome face. On the other hand, Dad wanted me to look more distinguished and mature.

"Hey, sweetheart," said Dad.

"Morning, Dad," said May as she set the table. "It was just implying her make-up."

"Don't know why she looks beautiful without it."

"I think she's just trying to impress Franklin."

"But they already like each other," said a small voice.

May turned and saw her little sister, Annie, emerging from a bedroom in her pyjamas.

"Oh, we know, but she doesn't want to be outdone by the other women trying to attract his attention," said May.

"But she's a supermodel and a superhero," Annie pointed out.

"A girl should always look her best no matter what," said their mother as she entered the bedroom carrying their two-year-old brother, Benjamin Richard Parker. "I was the same when I was her age, and I certainly had a lot of competition regarding your father."

"You make it sound like I didn't have any competition," Peter chuckled.

"And none of them were as amazing as you, Tiger," her mother winked.

May always for that, it was thought romantic that both her parents loved each other so much. Sadly, that sentiment was not shared by Annie, who looked like she was about to throw up when they kissed.

"Mom, Dad, really?" Annie moaned.

Their mother chuckled. "You'll understand one day."

"And how is my big man this morning?" May asked as she took Benji out of her arms.

Benji laughed.

"Your baby brother is just as energetic as always," Mom smiled. "Though I had to pry him from the ceiling again."

Like every single one of them, Benji had also inherited spider powers from their parents, but unlike them, he had developed organic web shooters, no doubt inherited from Mom. Mom was once a superhero named Spinneret; she had gained her powers during the Spider-Island incident.

"So, what are your plans after school?" Dad asked as he served them breakfast.

"Same as usual, go out on patrol and then come back home," May shrugged.

Dad sighed. "May, you don't have to go on patrol every single day."

"You did," May reminded him.

"That was a different time, but things are far different," said Dad. "That's why I decided to hang up my mask once and for all, as did most of the Web Warriors."

Dad and Mom used to be part of a group called the Web Warriors. Every single one of its members had people who had spider powers, and Dad was in charge of them. However, a few years ago, they decided to disband, and most of them went on with their lives.

"Dad, you know we can't just let criminals escape," said May.

"I wouldn't bother trying to reason with him, May," said April as she entered the living room. "You know as well as I that you want us to hang up masks and try to live normal lives."

"Look, I'm not going to stop you," said Dad. "I'm actually proud that you're going out there using your powers for good; I just want my girls to have a quiet life."

May and April looked at one another; they knew full well that Dad was not entirely thrilled that they followed him in his footsteps. He did train them at a young age, but when he took up a sidekick who had been roughly buried, she could find a reason to stop them.

"Dad, all the old supervillains may be either locked up, retired or dead, but there is still crime in the city," said May.

"She's right, Dad, we don't want another crime boss like the Kingpin muscling in," said April. "And you remember the chaos that ensued when the crime lords went to war with one another."

Dad looked as if he wanted to argue, but Mom then placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Peter, you have to let them make their own decisions. They're old enough now," said Mom.

Peter sighed and looked at the two of them. "I guess I just can't get used to the fact that my little girls have finally grown up."

"Dad, we'll always be your little girls," May smiled.

"He still sees me as a little girl," Annie grumbled. "I mean, he didn't even let me choose my own hero name."

That was true. Dad had given Annie the name Spiderling, and she hated it because it was a baby name.

"Once you're older, you can get another name," Dad promised.

"I better," she fumed.

"Anyway, I'll be gone for a few days," Dad informed them. "The president has invited me to Washington to go over security concerns."

"What kind of concerns?" Mom asked.

"Just security for that new supermax prison," said Dad.

"The Sphere?" said May.

Dad nodded. "He wants a second opinion, and he's asked for mine."

"Guess that means Harry will be holding down the fort at Parker Industries," said Mom.

Dad nodded. "I've already told Gwen, so she'll be around to help if you need anything."

"Doesn't she have a hands full already?" April asked.

"She knows how to multitask," Dad pointed out.

"I'm just saying she's already overworked with running the Research Development Centre, looking after her family, and her hero work with the Fantastic Seven."

"She does have a point, Tiger," said Mom.

"Which is why I'm counting on you girls to pick up the slack," said Dad.

"Don't worry, Dad, we've got this," May assured him.

"Can I help too?" Annie asked.

"Just make sure you don't get yourself into trouble in doing so, sport," said April, ruffling her hair.

"You know I hate it when you do that!" Annie glared.

May then looked at her watch. "April, we've got to go before we're late."

The two of them immediately grabbed their bags and quickly rushed over to the door.

"Bye, Mom, have a great trip, Dad!" April waved.

"Take care," said Dad.

The girls closed the door behind them, and Peter looked at MJ.

"It feels almost yesterday when we took them to school ourselves," said Peter.

"You make it sound as if we're old," said MJ.

"I'm just saying they grow up fast," said Peter.

MJ nodded. "I know."

May and April finally reached the school just before the bell rang and quickly made their way into class.

"You two were cutting it a bit fine," said Davida as they took their seats.

"We had time to spare," said April.

"Five seconds, to be precise," said May.

"Silence, class," said their teacher, Mr Stokes.

Everyone went silent.

"Good now. Today's lesson will be about mutant history and its impact on our present day," said Mr Stokes.

"Great, another lesson about Muties," Brad Miller grumbled.

May narrowed her eyes, Brad was rather good-looking, and May was ashamed to admit that she had a crush on him. However, her obsession with him quickly disappeared when she discovered he was a mutant hater.

"Not cool, Brad," said Wes.

"What? I'm just sick and tired of them," said Brad. "The only ones who seem to be doing anything about them is Orchis."

"Which is a human supremacist organisation," said May hotly. "Who I might point out that is under intensive investigation by President Rogers."

"Silence!" said Mr Stokes. "I'm glad this is producing a lively discussion. Let us concentrate on class."

After class, May and April, the rest of her friends gathered around.

"You're lucky you didn't get detention," said Davida.

"Come on, Davida, Brad was more or less supporting Orchis," Wes pointed out.

"Look, I don't approve of everything that Orchis and I'm not a mutant hater," said Davida. "I'm just against them using their powers for personal gain. I mean, look at Nancy."

Nancy had been a friend of May and April, and she was one of the star players on the basketball team. However, it was discovered that she had mutant telekinetic abilities. Brad had, more or less, led the new initiators against forcing her to change schools.

"Davida, there's no proof that she used her powers when she was playing basketball," May pointed out.

"And there's no proof that she didn't use them either," Davida argued.

"Whoa, let's not start a new argument," said Courtney quickly.

"I just don't like how she was chased out of school," said May.

"Good riddance, in my opinion," said a snooty voice.

May didn't have to look far to know whose voice belonged as it was none other than Simone.

"Well, no one asked your opinion," April glared.

"I'm just speaking the truth; we don't want people like that in our school, let alone in our city. Daddy agrees with me; he says President Rogers will run this country into the ground."

"I think he's confusing him with Donald Trump," said Wes.

"And my Dad supports him as a good majority of the country," said May.

"Only because he was Captain America," said Simone. "But soon everyone will see what a mistake they made when they elected him."

She then turned on my heels and walked away.

"I really hate her," said April.

"Easy, sis, she's not worth it," said May. "Besides, after this year, we'll never see her again."

"Come on, we better get our next class," said Courtney.

Annie was also at school hanging out with her friends, including her cousin Jack Jameson, Felicity Thompson, Stanley Osborn, and Jermaine Grant.

"You know, I can understand our parents' insistence that we go to school," said Stanley.

"I think it's to make friends," said Annie.

"Yeah, if you didn't come here, you would never have met me," Jermaine pointed out.

"I guess, but we do hang around with kids our age," said Stanley.

"And how many of them aren't rich, have superpowers or political friends?" Felicity asked.

"Okay, point made," said Stanley.

"I don't have a problem with going to school," said Annie.

"I could probably bear it if it wasn't for everyone looking at us," said Stanley.

"Well, your folks are pretty famous," said Felicity.

"Says the girl whose mother is a famous art dealer and whose father is a Colonel in the United States Army, who has the ear of the current president," said Jermaine. "Yet, I'm just your typical nobody. I mean, I don't know who my dad is, and my Mom is back in the Daily Bugle."

"As chief editor," said Jack. "I can tell you that my grandad is happy that the Bugle is making a comeback."

"Hey, I hear your big brother is going on another space exploration," said Felicity.

"He's only flying to the moon base; there's a good chance that he is going to be the first man on Mars, at least according to my grandad."

"No offence, Jack, but your grandfather has a habit of running his mouth off," Stanley reminded him.

"That is a fair criticism," Jack admitted.

"Speaking of outer space," said Jermaine, looking at Annie. "Isn't your dad going to reveal that new supervillain prison? Rumours say that it is completely escape-proof."

"That's what they said about the Vault and the Raft," said Felicity.

"Ah, but this new supervillain prison is completely state-of-the-art, and you're not going to believe where it's going to be based," said Stanley.

"Stanley, we're not supposed to talk about it," Annie hissed.

"Right, sorry," said Stanley.

Annie looked at the others. "Sorry, guys. We've been given strict orders not to talk about it until it's officially announced."

"Any idea when it will be announced?" Jermaine asked.

"I don't think it won't be too much longer; that's why Dad went to Washington to discuss things with the president."

After school, May began doing her routine patrols around the city, and nothing really stuck out so far. That, of course, was good, but May wished something exciting would happen, even if it was a simple mugging.

Then, as if on cue, she suddenly heard screaming coming from a nearby alleyway and immediately swung over. There, she found a bunch of punk kids wearing goblin masks terrorising a couple.

"A little early for Halloween, isn't it?" said May.

"It's Spider-Girl!"

"The daughter of the great defiant!"

"This is our chance to exact vengeance upon the spiders!"

May looked at them strangely. "Okay, I don't know what kind of juice you guys have been taking, but I suggest you surrender before you get hurt."

"Never!" they cried.

They charged in, and May easily took them down with just a few small hits and then webbed them up.

She then turned the couple. "You two are right?"

"Yes," said the young man gratefully. "We can't thank you enough."

"Were they trying to mug you?"

The young woman shook her head. "No, they wanted us to join their cult, and when we refused, they became violent."

"Cult? Goblins? I don't like the sound of this."

May hung around in time for the police to arrive and take them into custody. Among them was police Commissioner Yuri Watanabe, who had just taken statements from the couple.

"A goblin cult, I thought we had heard the last of any goblin," Yuri sighed.

"My Dad may just come out of retirement for this," May sighed.

"Hopefully, it's just a group of hooligans; it's not completely uncommon," said Yuri.

"Since when have we ever been that lucky?" May asked.

"That is why I am going to have my police force keep a close eye on it, and I expect you and your family to alert me if you find anything," said Yuri.

"You'll be the first to know, Commissioner," May promised.

Meanwhile, Peter was in the White House speaking to President Rogers and with them was the new director of SHIELD, his sister Teresa.

"Is everything going according to schedule regarding the new prison?" Steve asked.

"We haven't encountered any hiccups," said Peter.

"Good, creation of this new prison night finally able to stop supervillains from escaping," said Steve.

"Very creative creating a space station out in space to prevent criminals from escaping," said Teresa. "Even if they do escape their cells, they'll have nowhere to go."

"Not to mention, a prison break is just a hop, skip and a jump to Avengers City," Peter added. "Plus, with it being in outer space, it will be very difficult for accomplices to try and bring them out."

"And I'll be sure to put some trusted men in charge of maintaining that prison," Teresa promised.

"Then the only thing left to do is to announce this to the public," said Steve.

Peter then heard his Webware beeping and saw that it was May. "May, I hope it's important I'm speaking with the president."

"Dad, I just encountered some talks wearing goblin masks, and the way they were talking sounded as if they were in some sort of cult," May informed him.

"You sure it's not just some gang?" Peter asked.

"I think the two I dealt with were just some punk kids, but with goblins involved, I thought to contact you."

"You did the right thing, May, but I think this can wait until I get back home."

"Okay, we'll keep a lookout in case we run into any more of these goblins."

"Sounds like a plan; just look after yourself, sweetheart."

"We'll do, Dad."

Peter then switched off his Webware and looked back at Steve. "I do apologise, Steve."

"It's nice to hear that your daughter has been dwelling hand and knows who to call when she needs guidance," Steve smiled.

"Yeah, though she could have called me that much more opportune time."

"Should we be concerned about these goblins?" Teresa asked.

"After Norman Osborn died, Harry and I searched for all goblin equipment and destroyed it. I'm sure these goblins are nothing more than a ragtag group just latching onto something, but just to be safe, I'll check to see we didn't miss any equipment and check if Norman had any more known associates that had access to his goblin gear."

"I honestly thought we heard the last of any goblins," Teresa sighed. "Do you plan to contact the rest of the Web Warriors? I know we disbanded, but this is the sort of thing they should know about."

"I'll warn them if there's any concern, but we all have our own lives now."

In an unknown facility, a group of people in green robes had gathered and were bowing before the picture of Norman Osborn.

"My children, long have we been in the shadows, but very soon we will venture into the light and follow the dream and ideals of our founder, Norman Osborn," said the cult leader. "We shall exact vengeance upon the spiders that destroyed him and reclaim what was taken from him by his treacherous son."

The entire cult cheered.

Then, a woman wearing a green robe approached the cult leader.

"Master, two of our newest initiates have been apprehended by the police," she informed him.

"How did that happen?" he asked.

"Apparently, they believed that they could convince a few people to join us. I told them that that would not be necessary, but they failed to heed. Spider-Girl apparently caught them in the act, and they believe they could take her down."

"Fools, the great Norman Osborn cannot bring down her father. What made them believe that they take down his offspring," he scoffed. "What troubles me is that now Spider-Girl is aware of our cult."

"Those two fools were new members. They would know nothing."

"That's not the point; the point is she will now investigate this cult. It is common knowledge goblins and spiders are mortal enemies; show no doubt, inform her father, and he may very well inform the rest of his entourage."

"So long as we don't make any more missteps, they may just dismiss the cult as a band of hooligans, and we could try to reinforce that statement. Make it seem as if we are nothing to worry about."

"It could work, but despite our numbers, I do not believe we have enough to throw them away as sacrificial lambs. Even if we use our newest recruits, the odds are that one of them will talk about our cult, which will defeat the purpose."

"Leave it to me, Master; I'll keep the spiders off our backs until we are prepared."

"Very well, but know that failure will not be tolerated."

The woman nodded and walked away. The cult leader looked at the other cultists.

"Fear not, Norman Osborn, you shall be avenged, and we will bring the truth to this world as you ordained."
