Naruto hummed. He flipped another page of his book as his eyes strayed over to the door in almost anxiousness. Why was it taking so long? His monthly supply of groceries and additional supplies were taking much longer to get to him.

He paced the room in anticipation, and sat down on his bed. Then stood up. Then sat down. Then stood up again and then sat down.

Then he groaned full of impatience and tapped his foot. Usually they were always on time with the delivery. So what was taking so long? He looked at the time to see it at 2:00p.m. and he sighed then plopped himself on his bed. Someone knocked on the door and Naruto released a relieved sigh.

He ran to his door with his face bright in joy and he flung the door open. The blonde found no one as always and took everything in. He smiled brightly as he packed his food in the refrigerator and in the cabinets. He then placed the books on the table and the additional clothes in his small closet.

Naruto then looked at the paint he requested and a large grin materialized on his face.

"Hehehehe" this was going to be fun.

Naruto started to try and move his furniture with his miniature strength. The he stopped looked at his two small hands in disdain, and he sighed. Okay. This was not going to get him anywhere. Then again he was four years old and he had only recently started eating well so it was normal for him not to have the strength and even if he did, he couldn't possibly move so much furniture.

The blonde sat down in contemplation and looked at the ceiling.

"hmm..what to do? What to do?"

After a few minutes, a light bulb went off on his head and Naruto bolted up and ran to the kitchen and opened his cabinets and he smiled when he found what he was looking for. Plastics.

Laughing joyfully, Naruto took the large transparent plastics and started covering all the furniture with it. His smile grew larger and he couldn't help but grin as he continued covering everything with plastics. Naruto then rolled up his sleeves and tied plastics around himself then he snickered.

"Super plastic to the rescue!!" Naruto squealed out, happily as he posed for himself then gave a satisfied huff. He nodded his head and looked at his wall. He put on his goggles and grinned. It was time.

His hands dipped the brush in the dark red paint and Naruto grinned. He loved red. Especially this dark one. Touching the surface of the wall, he began to paint his room full of vigor and determination.

He would make sure to utterly transform his apartment and make it home, since he did plan to stay here for more than a little while.

A few meters away, the ANBU dog, clenched his fists as he watched his "charge" keep on painting without a care in a world. It had been about a couple hours since the essentials and other things had been dropped and his charge would not stop painting.

He was moving fast as well, now in the kitchen, climbing over the cabinets. Falling. Tumbling and ...happy.

Dog didn't get it, but he was happy for it. He continued to watch his charge almost carefully, whilst his hand wrote the report which would undoubtedly go to Inoichi, the head of Interrogation, amongst other things. He looked at the other ANBU besides him who wrote the same report and he couldn't help but feel slightly annoyed.

The third Hokage had questioned his professionalism since that incident because almost everyone aware of it, was expecting his charge, Naruto to be severely traumatized or get revenge by pranking, rather than the sudden silence and quiet appreciation of his own time and space.

It was unexpected. So dog understood why he was questioned about it weeks back, but time had already passed since then. He had been nothing but honest about his review, and even though it was still surprising, dog was happy for it. He of course been slightly worried, but he had grown to accept it. As long as Naruto was safe. Dog was happy. Being happy was nothing more than a bonus, since with the life his sensei had condemned Naruto to, being happy wasn't something expected.

"I'll report to the Hokage" The other ANBU said and dog nodded, whilst he continued to watch Naruto who had opted to paint his own hands and place them on the refrigerator.

His own lips quirked at that and his faint heart ached slightly. Dog hoped things would get better from now with Naruto's changed mentality, and when things got better, he at least hoped Naruto would be civil towards him. Because at the way he was behaving assured dog that Naruto would decisively cut off anything that disturbed his peace.

After all, Naruto had asked the third Hokage to stop visiting him. What more dog who had done nothing, but watch the blonde without doing anything.
