an adolescent human ran through the woods, occasionally stumbling on the rocks, dried leaves and unearthed tree roots. she had white chocolate skin, curled shoulder-length honey blonde hair and teary brown eyes. she wore a light brown shirt, desaturated red shorts and black sneakers.
she jumped over a crevasse with expertise and a panicked expression.
"oh gosh, they're after me, they're going to kill me" she muttered under her breath as she stopped running, leaning against a tree trunk.
she sat down, curling up into a ball before beginning to cry her eyes out.
"are you okay miss?" the human looked up, shocked to find eyes with apple pupils meeting her black oval pupils. the strange eyes belonged to a white lizard critter holding something wrapped up in a pale pink blanket. the lizard critter wore a fold over off shoulder pale green dress with a leaf pattern on the skirt part with an rubine red apple charm on the folded over top of the shirt. besides her eyes, the most unusual part of her was the rubine red stripes on her arms, legs and tail.
"n-no. I ran away from the only family I've ever known and now I'm homeless and scared" the human honestly replied, holding back tears.
the lizard critter looked down at her condescendingly before kneeling down to meet her eye to eye, revealing the pale pink blanket was wrapped around a sleeping rose pink pig critter no older then a year. her hooves and the inside of her ears were taffy pink and she had rubine red stripes on her arms matching the lizard critters. the human went and assumed the baby was the adult's child.
"so you need somewhere safe to stay?" the lizard critter asked.
the human nodded.
the lizard critter looked down at the still sleeping baby before looking back at the human.
"what's your name?" the lizard critter asked.
"Delia. Delia Delight" the human replied.
"are you a member of the god-killers miss Delight?" the lizard critter asked, making something click in Delias mind. the lizard critter was the flora god! and the baby is her heir, next to rule the very plants around them.
Delia gulped before replying.
"I used to be. but I realized their beliefs are wrong. cruel. so I left. I'm not one of them anymore. I promise on my life you can trust me" Delia spoke, tightening her hands grip on her knees.
the flora god stared at her with a stern look, glancing at her heir.
"follow me" she finally said, standing up.
Delia stood up as well as the baby yawned in her sleep.
