*Nemo*
Hōraijima (Horai Island)
Variable Location.
1393
Xu Fu, a Chinese alchemist and explorer born in 255 BC in Qi, served as a court sorcerer in the Qin Dynasty. He was sent by Emperor Qin Shi Huang on two journeys between 219 BC and 210 BC to find the elixir of life from the immortals on Mount Penglai. Penglai is a legendary land of Chinese mythology. It is known in Japanese mythology as Hōrai.
In 1143, 1352 years after Xu Fu's final voyage and 42 years before the end of the Heian Period, the great mystics founded a new mystic island. This island was created to protect the peaceful human and yōkai couples, and their hanyō children. Protect them from both humans who saw them as a threat and pure blood yōkai who despised weak human hybrids. It's possible the founding was due to Abe no Seimei (921 – 1005), one of the greatest mystics of the Heian Era, and was believed to be the son of a kitsune (fox spirit).
Horaijima would vanish from the world for fifty years and then reappear to allow additional couples and hanyō to find sanctuary on the island. They also allowed people to leave, but that rarely ever happened with examples being a Yōkai widower leaving after his human wife's death.
Horai Island reappeared in 1193, 1243, 1293, and 1343 with very few people noticing.
1393. Horai Island was attacked by a group of yōkai led by the Shitōshin (Four War Gods).
*Nemo*
The Four War Gods are daiyōkai that used orbs of power to draw celestial energies from Four Celestial Animals. They used those energies to transform and transcend beyond their normal limitations, becoming actual threats to the rulers of the land.
As a result, Ryūra, Kyōra, Jūra, and Gōra have taken on the appearance of the Azure Dragon, Vermillion Bird, White Tiger, and Black Tortoise constellations. They wanted to destroy Horai for numerous reasons including a disgust of hanyō, a desire to test their destructive power, a nature affinity for war & violence and hence a hatred of peace, and the existence of teh Mystic Island preventing them from finding the true Horai and its elixir.
What the Four War Gods didn't expect was for the island to have strong defenders. They knew about the spiritualists and mystics led by shrine maiden Kanade who defended the island, but that group didn't possess the same level of power as their Heian counterparts.
What nobody could predict was the arrival of N2 Guild through a portal.
Nemo Drake dressed as a black-clad Samurai to hide his tar black skin. In his first life, he was an ordinary human who read and watched stories about the world he now stands upon. In his second life, he was born into a world of metahuman powers with a Quirk that made him need nothing to survive. He was nearly killed and turned into s monster to infiltrate a school of Heroes, but with the help of his friends took down his creators. He then spent over a century in a world of magic, transforming from a dragon-blood mage into the new Black Dragon. His existence has been strange since the beginning of life two, but he's enjoying it.
His wife Izumi Drake dressed as a noblewoman to hide her green coloration, a result of centuries of metahuman genetics in the world of Quirks. She was born Quirk-less like her twin brother Izuku, but while Izuku was given a chance to inherit the power accumulation Quirk One-for-All, it was Nemo who granted her spider totem powers using his mysterious Myriad Gamer power. Izumi was the Spider-Woman of that world of Heroes and followed her future husband to become the Spider-Mage of the world of Earth Land.
Irene Belserion is dressed as a Shinto Shrine Maiden with a very impressive, veiled hat. Irene was the Queen of a magic kingdom five hundred years ago, where humans and dragons coexisted in peace until evil dragons invaded. She was the first human who learned dragon slaying magic and joined the war known as the dragon king festival. Nearly four hundred years later, she regained her human form and gave birth to her daughter. After time imprisoned, she was saved by Nemo. After a century, she became Nemo's second wife, mostly by seducing Izumi.
Doctor Nobunara Oda is dressed as a nobleman. In his first life, he was Nemo's friend and fellow writer. He was also reborn in the metahuman world with a Quirk that granted him extraordinary intelligence while his eyes were closed. He grew up on the technologically advanced floating city-state of I-Island, proving himself to be a genius among geniuses. It was his technology that was used to destroy all incarnations of the villain/wannabe demon lord All-for-One. It was also that same technology that allowed him to change the world.
Doctor Melissa Oda is dressed as a samurai to hide her crimson coloration. Her Red She-Hulk form would get her mistaken for an Oni, but she is no mountain ogre. She is the genius daughter of the technological genius David Shield, a man famous for both his support gear and working with the number one hero All-Might. With Oda's help, she created advanced suits of powered armor and experienced having powers. Due to the Myriad Gamer, she got to experience magic and adventure in another world and ended up stuck in her red skinned form.
Himiko Toga is a beautiful girl from the metahuman world of Quirks. She was born with a blood-based Quirk that also gave her an obsession with blood. Instead of getting proper psychological counseling and learning to use her Quirk for good, her parents forced her to hide her Quirk and suppress her nature. With this Quirk to take the form of others whose blood she consumes, she could have become an espionage hero infiltrating criminal groups. With her Awakening she could have copied the powers of injured heroes in emergencies and even provided life giving transfusions. Instead, she lost her sanity and went on a bloody rampage after her mental welfare massively deteriorated. Himiko was on the villain path until Oda saved her from herself and, unwittingly, stole her heart.
The Six Arrive in the New World after spending over a Hundred Years building a Legacy in Earth Land. They arrive on a Beach to see burning buildings, injured humans and yōkai, and a clearly invading army of yōkai lead by four powerful daiyōkai based on the four symbols.

"We barely appeared in this world, and we already have a Quest." says Nemo.
With a sense of nostalgia tinged with determination, Nemo unleashes a dragon roar that transcends mere sound. This roar is not just a display of intimidation; it is a manifestation of his true essence as the black dragon king. The energies he releases are abyssal black, swirling with destructive force that tears through the invading army of yōkai at their very core.
The impact of Nemo's breath attack is cataclysmic. As the abyssal energies surge forth, they disintegrate the flesh of the invading yōkai in an instant, leaving nothing but remnants in their wake. Souls are shredded by the sheer power of Nemo's attack, purifying the air of monsters and restoring a sense of balance to the chaotic battlefield.
(Nemo 1st POV)
The Shitōshin pause their attacks at the sheer destructive power of my Black Dragon Roar.
"Who the hell are you!?" growls out Jūra, the white tiger daiyōkai having always been aggressive with a nasty temper. Ryūra, the leader and dragon daiyōkai holds him back.
"You can call me Nanashi." I say to four war gods. Nemo and Nanashi mean the same thing "No Name", "I just arrived to find a bunch of cowards."
"Coward!?" yells Jūra, "How dare...?"
"Four daiyōkai and an army of twenty-eight thousand yōkai attempting to slaughter innocent and peaceful humans, yōkai, and their hanyō children. A bunch of cowardly animals afraid to be hurt by real challengers. You dare call yourselves war gods, when you need an army to attack unarmed civilians? Pathetic."
Jūra breaks free of his companions to attack me, but to me he's moving in slow motion. I dodge his sword attack which generates howling winds that slice a path in the beach and into the forest. It's an impressive wind attack capable of chopping down trees, but I'm not interested in forestry techniques. I casually backhand Jūra across the face sending the tiger man tumbling across the beach at near the speed of sound sending up clouds of sand. When the tiger pulls his head from the sand, the side of his face is swollen and he's clearly lost one of his fangs, blood dripping from his mouth. The invading army pauses completely as they just watched one of the four war gods get casually backhanded like a disobedient young master.
"I can sense your spiritual power. You're a dragon, Nanashi." accuses Ryūra, "Why are you defending these filthy half-breeds!? Why are you trying to save this mockery?"
"I was trained as a Hero" I say truthfully, "I've gotten used of protecting the innocent from fools who believe themselves to be strong. Civilians don't need to fear because I am Here."
"We are Here." corrects Melissa and Izumi.
Ryūra, Kyōra, Jūra, and Gōra are all enraged, but before they can make any orders or attack themselves, Oda steps forward.
"I have an offer, Shitōshin. We could have a messy time-consuming battle, but it would have negative results for both of us. For us – N2 – while we are busy beating you, your soldiers could still attack the islanders. For you, you'll suffer countless losses, and your prey could escape." says Oda, "I propose we have a little tournament. To be fair, one member of N2 Group will face the Seven commanders of one of the war gods."
There is growling and sounds of anger from the army. The idea that seven of their elite against one of this "N2 Group" is considered "Fair" to the group was infuriating.
Within each of the Four Symbols, there are seven astrological "Mansions" (positions of the Moon). The same way the Shitōshin were able to enhance themselves with Four Symbols, they also infused their most loyal minions with the energies of the Mansions. Each of the commanders considers themselves second only to their daiyōkai masters, so the idea that a single enemy could kill seven at the same time is incomprehensible.
"One on One!" roars Jūra, almost literally. His mouth is releasing hot steam from both rage and regeneration. He's no longer bleeding, but his fang hasn't grown back yet. He will not stand such an insult to his pride.
"Very well, if you want such a big handicap." says Doctor Oda with a smirk.
*Nemo*
The Seven Dragon Commanders under the command of Ryūra are infused with the power of lighting and Chinese element of wood. Melissa is the one to step forward to cut down the forest of fools.
Jiao, the Thunderous Vanguard
The Horn of the Azure Dragon
Jiao, the Thunderous Vanguard, is a towering yokai warrior with green reptilian eyes that gleam with fierce determination. His dark green scaly skin is adorned with intricate patterns that seem to shimmer in the light, hinting at his mystical origins. Despite his imposing stature, there is a gracefulness to his movements as he charges into battle, exuding an aura of power and authority.
In battle, Jiao wields a Chinese sword with deadly precision, each strike executed with calculated skill honed through years of training and experience. His black mane flows behind him like a banner of war, adding to his intimidating presence on the battlefield. Jiao's combat style is a blend of brute strength and strategic finesse, making him a formidable opponent capable of turning the tide of any conflict.
I am the one to step forward and I can sense Jiao's fear. He will not back down with his determination, but he knows I'm a dragon at least at the same level as his lord.
"I won't use my dragon breathe. I wouldn't want to ruin this lovely beach." I mock, making Jiao grip the hilt of his sword with anger. He leaps towards me, creating a thunderous shockwave and a cloud of sand. His sword strike could slice a human samurai in full armor clean in half, but it merely creates sparks against the sheath of my Zanpakutō Kurayami. The sheath is not even lightly scratched, but I see damage to my enemy's sword.
"Thunderous Horn Strike!"
Jiao charges his opponent with incredible speed, using his prominent golden horns to deliver a powerful strike that releases a surge of lightning upon impact. I can imagine he's watched many opponents crushed by this attack or incinerated by the lightning. Jiao slides back and stares at me in complete shock at minor damage. In truth, it's only my disguise that is damaged as Oda didn't make it as durable as my N2 Armor.
"My turn." I say as I draw my sword and slash with enough speed to create a shockwave. To his credit Jiao is fast enough to block my sword slash with his own Chinese sword. Unfortunately for this fool the difference between the Zanpakutō of a Black Dragon and a yokai-made Jian is like the difference between Heaven and Earth. Jiao can only stare in disbelief as the blade of his sword is cut in half by my own. He doesn't even notice he himself was cut in half by the attack. His corpse collapses to the ground in a spray of glowing blood.
Ryūra growls at his commander's loss.

Jing - Phoenix Nobleman
The Well of the Vermillion Bird
Jing is a phoenix yokai like his Master Kyōra with vibrant red and gold feathers, which means he resembles an arrogant pheasant. Unlike the others which are dressed in armor, he's dressed like a nobleman with a feather on his head resembling a pompadour. I almost expect him to be saying "I am the Peng Clan's Young Master.". He could easily be Kyōra's spoiled chick, if Kyōra didn't look like he was too vain and arrogant to consider any woman worthy of him.
He looked down at Izumi with a sneer, his voice dripping with arrogance.
"Ah, a weak woman such as yourself dares to confront me? How quaint." Jing's words were laced with disdain, his tone mocking. "You may think yourself clever, hiding your identity beneath that elegant exterior. But I assure you, it is futile."
Izumi remained silent; her expression unreadable beneath the shadow of her hair. Jing continued, his voice growing louder and more condescending. "You may possess some powers. But against the might of a true yokai like myself, you stand no chance."
His arrogant speech is cut off when Izumi's well-trained fist strikes his well-cared for face. Jing face makes comical movements before he goes flying across the beach, tumbling on the Mystic Island's beach. He finally crashes with an explosion of sand particles and feathers.
Izumi is ready to show this arrogant peacock whose boss.
"A woman dares think she can defeat me...!?" yells Jing in anger and disbelief only to be cut off when a line of spider silk attaches themselves to his front and pull him towards her. I can almost hear MK Scorpion yelling "Get Over Here!". When Jing is close to her, she delivers a beautiful uppercut worthy of Hanzo Hasashi.
"Inferno Blaze!"
Jing's special technique summonses a massive inferno that engulfs himself and his enemies. Normally he uses it to incinerate large groups of enemies, but now he's using it to burn away the web line and attack the woman dressed in spider silk kimono.
Izumi's speed is amazing even to my senses. While Jing believes he has won, incinerating his enemy, he doesn't see her appear behind him. He does notice her feet slam into his back and nearly fold him in half. I can hear Jing's spinal column cracking from where I am standing and if the fool doesn't have regeneration, then he's already done.
"How dare you, you witch...? I am-" says Jing coughing blood onto the sand.
Jing is cut off again by Izumi wrapping a line around his neck and pulling while standing on the fool's back. Normally Izumi is the sweetest girl imaginable, a cinnamon bun like her twin brother, but she is also a mother and grandmother. Monsters attacking innocent children set off her inner predatory spider.
With one final crack of the spine, Jing dies, and the score is 2-0.

Kuí - The Wild Boar Barbarian
The Legs of the White Tiger
Kuí is a wild boar yokai with distinct physical features. He possesses gold eyes, sharp gray fur, and black spikes running down his head and back, resembling a mohawk. His body is muscular, and he has large tusks protruding from his porcine face. Kuí wears dark brown armor adorned with gold accents. This armor covers his entire body, leaving only his eyes and snout exposed. He wields a large Chinese polearm, which is made from the bone of some yokai.
"Gale Spear!"
Kuí harnesses the power of the wind to enhance his polearm attacks. He raises his weapon high above his head and summons a gust of wind to swirl around it. As he brings the weapon down, the wind intensifies, creating a powerful air vortex that damages enemies in a wide area. The wind also increases the reach and speed of Kuí's attacks, making him a formidable opponent in battle.
Kui lets out a very porcine squeal of rage, when the veiled Miko (Irene) blocks his attack with a barrier. He charges forward using the winds to propel himself and blade of the bone guandao pierces barrier, making the ethereal shield fully visible. As Kui pushes harder, the bone blade begins to break the barrier.
Irene doesn't look worried at all, just impressed at the spear able to break one of her barriers. As the barrier shatters, she dodges so quickly it looks like she fades away like an illusion in the mist. Kui turns to face where Irene is, but then realizes he has Ofuda slapped on his back.
Kui lets out a squealing roar of pain as lightning strikes him repeatedly.
"Lightning Talisman. Nice." I comment, "Even if it doesn't kill him, it slows him down by messing with the muscles."
"Thanks, Love." says Irene, enjoying my compliments. "Due to this pig's fancy armor, I'm going to have heat things up."
"Your woman?" asks Ryūra, out of curiosity and wanting a little distraction.
"Both of them." I admit.
"Nice." says the dragon daiyokai, sounding truthfully impressed.
Kui doesn't have a comment as he recovers from the temporary paralyze caused by the lightning talisman. His armor protected him from the majority, but Irene is the Sage Dragon who's spent nearly a century training her Onmyōdō. Without that special item, he would be electrically grilled demon pork.
Kui raises his bone polearm, and a vortex of slicing wind begins to form around the blade. Soon, there is a tornado of demonic energy around Kui ready to be launched, but he suddenly finds himself unable to control the winds around him.
Irene has launched five talismans that circle around the tornado, their movements uninhibited by the howling winds. The five talismans move slowly, but their magic words written on them glow brightly. Their magic contains the vortex of wind. Irene smiles and a complex magic circle appears beneath the vortex and Kui at its center. The magic circle glows bright red before shooting a pillar of fire into the sky, which combines with the winds to create a fire tornado.
The fire tornado lasts for a minute before dispersing and I'm impressed at what remains. The dark brown armor with its gold trim is barely scorched and a good craftsman could fix it with ease. The bone polearm isn't even stained by the ash or dirtied despite resting in the molten sand. As for the boar yokai, his fur is burnt away, and his charred flesh is falling off his bones. He smells like pork chops on a charcoal barbeque. The armor collapses to the ground as the yokai corpse can no longer provide any support.
"That's another one cooked." I say out loud to everyone. The score is 4-0

Dou the Alchemist
Southern Dipper of the Black Tortoise
Dou, a wizened yokai alchemist embodies the essence of ancient Chinese wisdom. His tall, gaunt frame, a testament to years spent in solitary study, is draped in simple, earthy robes. His eyes, like pools of molten gold, gleam with an uncanny intelligence, reflecting the secrets he holds within. His weathered face, etched with the passage of time, speaks of a life dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge. His silver ladle, a symbol of his craft, is filled with a luminous potion, its ethereal glow hinting at the potent concoctions he brews.
"Who shall be my opponent? One of the warriors? One of the Priestesses"
"How about us?" says two voices. The exceeds Rosemary and Ebon emerge from my shadow. The other soldiers almost laugh, but then the small felines transform into human forms.
Rosemary's human form with her long red hair looks like she could be Irene's daughter and is also dressed as a Shrine Maiden. She's an alluring beauty in her human form. Ebon on the other hand with his gold eyes, wild black hair, and very muscular body looks like a savage warrior and is dressed in furred lined clothing.
"Cats? I am not impressed. I will face both of you." says the arrogant alchemist.
"Luminous Elixir Blast!"
Dou hurls his ladle filled with the luminous potion at the enemy, creating a blinding explosion upon impact. The only man then moves with surprising speed and strikes both Exceeds with his ladle which has grown to the size of a large polearm. Dou has a smile on his withered lips, but then he notices something strange. Glowing symbols on the end of his ladle like foreign kanji. The ladle becomes extremely hot to the point it's covered in flames and Dou is forced to drop it.
"Let me introduce myself – Rosemary, Little Sage of the Scarlet Flames."
"Ebon the Savage." says Ebon appearing in front of the shocked Dou before beating the elderly yokai like a punching bag. He finishes with a punch that sends Dou skidding across the sound with the sound of crunching bone.
"You brats." says Dou, "Attacking the elderly, you should be ashamed."
"You're the one attacking innocent people." says Ebon, as he appears next to Dou with a burst of speed and delivers a kick that sends Dou into the air with broken ribs.
As Dou lands he pulls out a small bottle and uncorks it.
"I can't believe you brats are forcing me to do this."
The air crackles with energy as Dou, the Alchemist, drinks the contents of the bottle. A wave of heat washes over him, and his withered frame shudders. The once-loose clothing strains against his rapidly expanding muscles, threatening to tear apart. His skin, once leathery and wrinkled, becomes taut and smooth, the lines of age vanishing as if by magic.
The transformation is rapid and violent. Dou's bones crack and shift, his body contorting as it restructures itself. The process is painful, but Dou grits his teeth, enduring the agony with a stoic expression. He can feel his strength returning, his muscles pulsing with newfound power.
His white hair, once sparse and thinning, erupts into a thick mane of black, cascading down his shoulders. The silver strands on his chin lengthen and thicken, forming a full, dark beard. His eyes, once clouded with age, blaze with golden energy. The sclera, once a milky white, turn a deep, inky black, reflecting the power surging within him.
The transformation culminates in a final, explosive burst of energy. Dou stands tall, his youthful body radiating power. His muscles ripple beneath his skin, taut and strong. He looks around, taking in his new form with a mixture of awe and apprehension. The power within him is undeniable, but he knows that it comes at a price.
"We are done." says Ebon.
"Are you scared, miserable cats?" says Dou, his voice youthful and full of power.
"No. It's just while you went through your transformation sequence, Rosemary had plenty of time to cast. Enjoy the view, it will be your last."
Dou is surprised when glowing symbols appear on his body. He's even more surprised when he appears above the highest clouds and begins to fall towards the blue ocean below the clouds. He tries to find a solution, like a potion to transform into a bird or an elixir of the winds to levitate, but Ebon is not only a skilled fighter, but a skilled thief. Dou only has his body enhancement potions and that won't stop him from hitting the water's surface and exploding like a watermelon.

Kang, the Serpentine Enchanter
The Neck of the Azure Dragon
Kang, the Serpentine Enchanter, is a formidable warrior renowned for his strategic brilliance and mystical prowess. His piercing gold eyes exude an air of otherworldly wisdom, while his skin, adorned with shimmering white scales, hints at his elusive and enigmatic nature. In battle, Kang moves with a mesmerizing grace that belies his deadly efficiency, effortlessly weaving through adversaries with a fluidity reminiscent of a serpent's sinuous dance. Draped in flowing black robes that cloak his true potential, Kang exudes an aura of mystery and power that commands both respect and fear on the battlefield.
"Are you ready?"
Dr. Nobunara Oda isn't impressed and with good reason. Oda has created technological and Magitech wonders for over a century and witnessed his friends and family fight countless monsters and villains. He may be dressed as a nobleman, but he's currently the smartest man in the world.
"Always."
"Serpent's Shadow Bind!"
Kang summons shadows infused with the power of wood element, which wrap around his target, restricting their movements and draining their energy. Kang smiles for a moment, then realizes he isn't getting any energy from Oda. Kang moves close to Oda and stabs the man through the head with a sword that glows with toxic yoki (yokai energy), "Oda" dissolves into pixels and particles of light.
"An Illusionist?"
"An inventor." replies Oda behind Kang as the plasma blade of a lightsaber bursts from Kang's chest. Kang looks wide eyed at the glowing blade in his chest, then with some he bursts into a mass of phantasmal snakes that fly. The snakes move several meters before reforming into the injured Kang.
"I can't heal injuries from that blade. If I continue this fight, I will die." states Kang, "I... I surrender."
"And that automatically makes you smarter than the bulk of your cohorts," Oda hummed as he returned his Lightsaber, styled after Count Dooku's, to the folds of his sleeve.
The snake's dragon daiyokai master Ryūra is not happy with the weakness of his subordinate, even Tho the snake's logic is sound. A massive bolt of azure lightning strikes Kang and burns him alive for a solid half a minute. When the lightning ends, only ash and charred bone fragments land in the sand and twisted glass.
"Let this be a warning. No one is allowed to surrender," Ryūra yells, prompting Oda to shake his head with a disappointed sigh.

Gui - Red-Crowned Crane
The Ghost of the Vermillion Bird
Gui resembles the Red-Crowned Crane, also known as Tancho in Japanese. It is a majestic bird with a large wingspan and can live for more than 60 years. He's tall and slender with white feathered wings and a burning red flame on his head. He's dressed in loose clothing and light armor, which allows him to use his flight powers. He holds a long Chinese halberd.
Gui looks a little nervous that his opponent is a two-meter-tall samurai. The other members of my group are dominating their fights and Gui is being cautious. Gu decides to attack from a distance and leaps into the air, spreading his wings.
"Blazing Wings!"
Gui spins and unleashes a whirlwind of flames that incinerates anything in its path.
"Vermillion Darts!"
Gui then fires vermillion energy projectiles from his wings, sacrificing feathers to fire them. These projectiles are designed to pierce and explode inside the target. Blazing Wings is merely a cover for the follow-up attack. He's killed entire squads of armored soldiers by bypassing their armor.
Melissa claps her hands or more precisely performs a Thunderclap! She merely brings her hands together, but it generates an immense shockwave. The intense flames are blown away in an instant and the energy projectiles shatter, exploding like fireworks before they get within five meters of her.
While Gui is disoriented by the shockwave, she reaches and picks up a smooth stone from the sand. She holds it in her hand if testing the weight, then she tosses it at Gui. The stone breaks the speed of sound and makes a hole like a musket ball through Gui's body piercing the heart.
Gui's eyes widen in pain and alarm, but the power gifted by him by his phoenix master allows him to regenerate the damage before the audience's eyes. In a burst of smoke and steam, the hole closes and Gui's blood flow resumes. He then notices Melissa has picked up a much larger rock off the beach and gets ready to dodge, when she cracks the boulders into smaller jagged stones.
Gui's eyes then widen in horror as she throws all the stones and the unavoidable shotgun blast tears through Gui's body. The stones pierce his torso, his neck, his wings, and most important his head. Yokai are more spiritual than physical beings, but most still need their brains to do things and use techniques. Gui pathetically drops to the ground, bleeding all over the place and failing repeatedly to trigger his regeneration. One last thrown rock explodes Gui's head in full and his body collapses into flame and ash.
Ryūra, Kyōra, Jūra, and Gōra, especially Kyōra are upset at Gui's death. It wasn't because they respected or liked him, but because he died to thrown stones. An ugly inelegant death that shames them as his master.

Lóu - The Horse-Headed Yokai
The Bond of the White Tiger
Lóu is a distinct yokai that has the appearance of a horse-headed demon. This mythical being has a gray coat, black mane, and a horse-like head with two large, pointed ears. The armor worn by Lóu holds historical and cultural significance as it is reminiscent of ancient Chinese design.
The mythology surrounding horse-headed demons tells of Horse Face, one of the bailiffs at the first room of Diyu, the Chinese underworld. He and his partner Ox Head were responsible for manhandling intractable souls before Diyu's bench, throwing combative souls into deeper pits of torment, and pursuing would-be escapees. Lóu often proclaims to be the oldest son of Horse Face with pride.
The weapon of choice - a lasso made of horsehair made in Diyu. This unique weapon allows him to bind both the living and dead, capturing bodies and souls, while sealing away spiritual and physical powers. It's allowed him to defeat enemies far stronger, faster, and smarter than him by relying on the underworld magic.
"Fú Tóu Jùn Líng Lì Jiē Wǎng"
牠头骏灵力结网
"Horse-headed spirit power binding net."
"Himiko" is suddenly bound by the Lasso. She is tied tightly and so securely she can't move her arms, legs, or neck. The magic also prevents her face or fingers from moving, leaving her helpless.
"Impressive. Or it would be if you knew what you were doing." says Irene.
"What do you mean 'If I knew what I was doing'? This lasso has been in the family for eight centuries!"
"The Lasso is amazing, but if you knew a person's true name you could bind them without needing to stare or point at them. As you are now, you can only hit what you see."
"What's wrong with that!?"
"Deception is very important in combat." says Irene, "The whole secret lies in confusing the enemy, so that he cannot fathom our real intent."
"What are you talking...?" says Lóu but is interrupted when he feels someone touch his back. The real Himiko is standing behind the Horse-Headed Demon with a serene smile on her face.
"A human strategist named Sun Tzu said those words. You call yourself the army of War Gods, but Gods didn't create war." says Himiko, "Humans did."
Lóu has more questions, but Himiko doesn't want to talk to him anymore. Lóu's eyes widen as his heart explodes inside his chest, followed by Lungs, Liver, Kidneys, and finally Brain. The destruction of the brain makes the eyes bulge in a disturbing way and the corpse collapses to the ground.
The Lasso appears in Himiko's hand having claimed it from its original owner and her blood clone collapses and soaks the sand.

Niu the Armored Ox
The Ox of the Black Tortoise
Niu is a formidable Chinese yokai warrior with a heavy armor ox Yokai appearance. Black eyes, black skin, and polished horns. His armor is a combination of Ancient Chinese armor and armor that resembles a hard exoskeleton, or shell, common to crustaceans. This suggests a connection to the crustacean variant of the ushioni, an aquatic creature from Japanese folklore
"I challenge you, woman. I will avenge my comrade."
According to the bio he's also a descendant of one of bailiffs of Diyu, Ox Head. His magic weapon was also created using his ancestor's horns in the Underworld.
"Shuǐláo shēnyuān"
水牢深淵
Water Prison Abyss
There is a surge of magical power and Himiko is imprisoned in a sphere of dark water from the depths of the underworld.
"This is for my friend." yells the Ox, as he points his spear at Himiko. "Cháo Xì Qiāng Rèn!"
Tide Spear Blade is the translation. Niu thrusts his harpoon-like weapon, unleashing a surge of water that pierces through enemies with immense force. It tears through Himiko causing her to explode inside the dark sphere. It's clear it was another blood clone.
"Zhī xuè yǐn wù, zài wǒ de zhǐ zhù." (Direct Translation: "With my blood bestowed, bound to my will.")
The real Himiko appears with a surprise on her face.
"Surprised? Thought I was just a brainless ox?" says Niu, sounding a lot calmer. "A Tao spell that catches the fool whose blade I obtained. Even if my prey escapes with a wound, I can bind them."
"I do see one problem with it." tells Himiko.
"Yes?" says Niu as he lines up his weapon to pierce her heart.
"It gets my blood on your weapon."
Himiko's blood staining the Tidal Spear glows brightly and releases a massive fiery explosion. The heat is intense forcing both heroes and villains to shield themselves from the flames, excluding those with nigh absolute immunity to fire. The [Blood of Kagu-Tsuchi] granted Himiko an advance form of Exploding Blood.
Soon the flames are extinguished, revealing a pool of molten glass in the beach's sand. Niu is still alive, barely. He's covered in severe burns and his armor is badly damaged. The heat is so great the spear exploded in Niu's hands and pierced his body as burning fragments. He's now desperately trying to transform into his true form, hoping the transformation can save his life.
"I don't like burning my enemies, not even child-murdering demons, but I love to watch blood being spilled." Himiko hums as she forms a new blade. In a movement too fast for most to see, the descendant of the bailiff of Diyu loses his Ox Head. The molten glasses hiss as the blood rains down.

(1st POV)
"Come on, lets speed things up." I shout to the army, pointing to two of the Azure Dragon warriors. This makes both warriors angry as I'm basically telling them that I need both of them to make this a challenge.
Di, the Verdant Guardian
The Root of the Azure Dragon
Di, the Verdant Guardian, is a remarkable yokai entity that stands out due to its unique composition. This plant-based being takes on the form of a humanoid male, crafted from dark green branches intertwined with yellow-brown roots. Despite its lack of a conventional facial structure, Di exudes an aura of power and authority. Its presence is striking, commanding attention as it moves gracefully through its environment.
One of the most distinctive features of Di is the wooden staff it carries. This staff is not just a simple accessory but an extension of its essence. Adorned with sharp thorns, the staff serves both as a symbol of Di's connection to nature and as a formidable weapon when needed. The thorns on the staff hint at the protective nature of this guardian yokai, ready to defend its domain against any threats that may arise.
Fang, the Thundering Oni
The Room of the Azure Dragon
Fang, the Thundering Oni, is a powerful and intimidating oni. He is easily recognizable by his distinctive physical features and unique armor. Fang stands out with his yellow eyes, forest green skin, and spiky gold hair that adds to his menacing appearance. His massive build exudes strength and power, making him a formidable opponent on the battlefield.
Moreover, Fang's armor sets him apart from other oni. It includes a large drum strapped to his stomach, which he uses not only as a weapon but also as a means of communication or signaling to other oni. The sound of the drum resonates deeply and can be heard from great distances, adding to Fang's fearsome presence
"Thorned Vine Whiplash!"
In this attack, Di extends his wooden staff, which transforms into thorny vines that lash out at his enemies, entangling and piercing them with sharp spikes. With my swordsmanship, I cut the vines to pieces before they can reach me. I also avoid the milky white liquid that sprays from the cuts, which proves to be the smart thing as the liquid hisses as it hits the ground.
As I'm dodging the vines and corrosive liquid, I hear another attack.
"Thunderous Belly Drum!"
Fang pounds on the drum attached to his stomach, creating powerful shockwaves that can knock back enemies and cause thunderous explosions upon impact. As the shockwaves hit me, not only do I slide back from the explosions but the vines explode into clouds of corrosive mist.
"Storm Pounder!'
Fang unleashes a concentrated shockwave infused with lightning, creating waves in the sands of the beach as it travels.
"Punishment Pillars"
As Fang releases his attack, Di summons wooded pillars from the ground covered in thorns to limit my movements so the attack can hit. I'm surprised at how well they work together. Even Tho they are part of the same army and command, I don't expect good teamwork.
There is an explosion and my enemies wonder for a second if they hit me. Then they realize I cut the pillars a second before the attack hit, creating a shockwave and debris to stop the Storm Pounder attack.
I then notice Fang is getting angry, just what I was waiting for. The oni gathers his power into a spherical ball of thunder ready to launch it as a single massive attack. Di is trying to get close to bind my movements so the attack will hit.
Instead, I throw a punch that creates my own shockwave. I send the walking thorn bush flying directly into his partner's attack. As Di's body collides with purplish-white energy sphere he cries out in pain, The plant yokai's body distorts and inflates, before exploding into a cloud of white liquid, wood splinters, and liquified plant fibers. The cloud of milky goo soaks Fang causing the Oni to roar in pain. He desperately tries to get the corrosive sap off him, even running towards the water to clean himself. He does not make it.

Izumi steps forward and gestures to her two avian enemies. The two bird yokai under the command of phoenix war god Kyōra.
"A Hawk and a Crow. Let's see what you two birdbrains can accomplish."
Izumi may be my sweat cinnamon roll, but she learned taunt her enemies and make them mess up like Spider-Man and the other spider totems. It only works partially, as the two birds are still cautious.
Liu - Black Kite
The Willow of the Vermillion Bird
As a Black Kite, Liu possesses the head and wings of a hawk. This gives him a keen sense of sight, allowing him to spot prey or enemies from great distances. His sharp, curved beak is capable of tearing flesh, while his talons can deliver deadly blows. The Black Kite is also known for its agility and speed, making Liu a formidable opponent in the air or on the ground.
Liu's sharp features and dark plumage further emphasize his predatory nature. His dark feathers are likely an indication of his villainous status, as black is often associated with evil in various cultures. His sharp claws on his hands and feet serve as a reminder of his fierce and deadly combat skills.
Xing - Karasu Tengu
The Star of the Vermillion Bird
Xing, the Star of the Vermillion Bird, is a formidable warrior with a large, hooked beak that could easily tear through flesh. His wings, though powerful, are more suited for swift, deadly attacks than sustained flight. His eyes, like those of a predator, gleam with a cold, calculating intelligence. He wears dark, tattered armor, adorned with the crimson feathers of the vermillion bird, a symbol of his fierce and destructive nature. His claws, sharp as daggers, are always ready to strike, leaving a trail of blood and chaos in his wake.
The birds don't say a word, neither taunting nor calling out an attack. Instead, they both leap into the air using their powerful wings, creating powerful wings with their yokai energies.
Liu swoops down from above, unleashing a barrage of razor-sharp feathers imbued with dark energy. Each feather is like a throwing dagger capable of magically piercing strong armor. The attack is extremely fast, to the point they surpass the fastest winds in the world.
Izumi with her spider sense dodges them with casual ease. She then leaps clear of the feathers as Xing forms a hand seal, her precognition has warned her of the spell. A spell which causes the feathers embedded in the ground and the feathers still in the air and passing by the space she was to explode like grenades.
Liu generates powerful winds using Yōjutsu, the art of manipulating Yōki also referred to as yokai magic. Xing does the same to generate powerful flames which are enhanced by The Star Mansion. They combine their attacks into a more powerful fire attack. The fire blast strikes the ground and spreads out in a massive AOE. It's clear since they can't hit her with projectiles, they are going for an attack that can't be dodged.
Izumi surprises them when she leaps into the air using her powerful legs. The Spider-Woman has only gotten stronger with age (and Oda's Magitech) so she's practically flying in the air. Both avians can't believe the female humanoid (despite the scent, there is no way they can believe her to be human) was willing to enter their territory.
"You're no match for me, human!" Xing roared, his voice a guttural rasp.
He summoned flames, licking tongues of fire that danced around his claws, imbuing them with a deadly heat. With a powerful beat of his wings, he plummeted towards Spider-Woman, his fiery talons aimed for her heart.
He's shocked when Izumi grabs his wrist without looking and then twists to deliver a brutal blow that cracks Xing's beak. She then jumps off him to launch herself higher into the air. Xing on the other hand is sent tumbling towards the ground after being used as a launch pad.
Liu is then surprised when Izumi vanishes using a combination of her supernatural stealth skills and the flash step technique she learned from me. With the latter technique, she can jump even in the air.
"Look out!" yells Xing on the ground, "Behind you!"
It's too late as Izumi places her hand on Liu's back. There is an electrical discharge and the paralyzed Liu falls from the sky, crashing next to the injured Xing.
Izumi then lands on the ground, barely making ripples in the sand. It's like she has the weight of an actual spider, instead of the weight of mature Spider-Woman. She waves her hand and the two birdbrains are wrapped in spider silk and bound together. Extremely adhesive spider silk and feathers sounds very painful to the birds.
"Do you surrender?"
The two birds look at each and know that even if they did surrender, Kyōra would incinerate both of them. They look at each other and then both form hand seals.
"jiē jìng rú zhēn" - "huǒ yàn wéi wǒ"
皆靜如鍼 - 火燄為我
"All becomes still as a needle." - "Let flames and fire be my servant."
Liu's spell is a curse that sacrifices one's soul to curse their enemy, sealing away the body's movement, the mind's thought, and the soul's power. Xing's spell is a curse that sacrifices the caster's flesh, blood, and life energy to create a devastating explosion of cursed flames. Since they are so close together, both souls are taken for a double needle curse and both bodies are consumed for a double-size explosion.
Liu's spell has several weaknesses that Irene could clearly see with the main one being someone Blessed by a God is immune to it. Izumi is protected by the Goddess Eilistraee's Blessing. As a result, the needle curse is reflected back upon the casters. The two birds are unable to do anything as Izumi alerted by her Spider-Sense escapes the range of the explosion their bodies make.
*Nemo*
Irene steps forward and gestures at two soldiers belonging to Jūra. The White Tiger War God is known as the Beast, so most of his men aren't known for strategy. The two bestial yokai charge towards Irene hoping to prevent the mage from casting her spells. It's a bad strategy when it comes to most spell casters, as most spells take time to cast.
Wei - The Ape Yokai
The Stomach of the White Tiger
Wei, the Ape yokai, is a striking figure with a distinct appearance. His fur is a pure white color, much like that of a Japanese macaque, and covers his entire body. This gives him a soft and fluffy appearance, which is further enhanced by the lining of white fur on his leather armor. The armor itself is made of high-quality leather, providing him with both protection and flexibility in combat.
One of the most notable features of Wei's appearance is his extra ears, which resemble those of a bat. These ears are large and pointed, and are capable of moving independently of one another. This gives Wei the ability to hear in multiple directions at once, making him a formidable opponent in battle.
Wei's leather armor is decorated with many bejeweled golden rings, adding an element of luxury and opulence to his appearance. These rings are not simply for show, however. They are enchanted with powerful magic, and can be used for both offensive and defensive purposes. One purpose protecting Wei from enemy spells.
Wei is mildly surprised with the ease at which Irene dodges his thunderous punch. The Japanese macaque yokai can tell with its multiple ears that she used the minimum of effort. This means she is a very skilled warrior, despite her sexy magician exterior.
Mao - Panther Yokai Commander
The Hairy Head of the White Tiger.
Mao, as a panther yokai, possesses physical attributes similar to the Panthera genus, which includes large cats such as lions, tigers, and leopards. However, as Japan's only native species of Panthera, Panthera youngi, has been extinct for 350,000 years, it is challenging to determine the exact species he resembles.
Mao maintains a human form, characterized by a mane of black-and-white hair, pointed ears, and fangs. His attire consists of vibrant robes and bone armor, providing a striking visual contrast. He is also depicted wielding two long swords, which are made of sharpened bone.
Mao transforms into a shadowy blur, striking foes with blinding speed and ferocity, leaving behind trails of darkness. The only sound he makes is the howling winds produced by his swords as they slice at Irene. Irene blocks each of the invisible slashes with her staff creating flashes of light in the mist created by the pressurized winds.
Wei causes the magic rings of armor to trigger. The magic rings produce a sound that interferes with the wearer's opponents, causing them to feel dizzy, nauseous, and disrupting their equilibrium, leading to vertigo. The wearer Wei is protected and can take advantage of his weakened opponents. Wei is confused when Irene merely smiles and it's Mao who collapses to the ground, vomiting. Wei jumps back and cancels the rings.
"What happened!?" yells Mao, recovering quickly due to his swordsmanship breathing technique.
"I don't know. My attack hit you instead of her." says the ape, his voice surprisingly high pitched.
"I used to suffer from Vertigo, so I studied sensory magic." says Irene, her voice clear in their ears, "I can not only change my senses, I can also change your own."
Irene begins to walk towards them with a step that is both loud and quiet at the same time. They watch as afterimages appear behind her, which begin to move at different speeds. The world around them begins to ripple like a mirage and Wei screeches in alarm. He's panicking because each of many ears is telling him a different story and he's never been more confused and unknowing as he is now.
Mao calls upon on his swordsmanship training. He steadies his breathing technique and seals away she senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. He stands in an empty world of his own making, then he erupts in motion to slash his opponent. In the blink of an eye, Irene is sliced to pieces and falls to the ground in a rain of blood.
As his senses return, he hears Wei's prayers.
"HI FU MI YO I MU NA YA KO TO MO CHI RO RA NE SHI KI RU YU I TSU WA NU SO O TA HA KU ME K NI SA RI HE TE NO MA SU A SE E HO RE KE"
"Why are you saying the Hi-Fu-Mi norito?" Mao asks as he turns to see ape comrade.
"It's a simple prayer for a simple fight." says Wei before he smiles and morphs into Irene. The world around Mao also shifts and he finds himself standing over the bloody remains of the real Wei who has a look of shock on his severed head.
"Impossible. I sealed all of my senses."
"All? You only sealed five."
Mao cries out as he feels as if his body was set ablaze.
"Thermoception: the sense of heat."
Mao screams as the sensation of heat is replaced by pain unimaginable
"Nociception: the perception of pain."
Mao collapses to the ground as the pain ends and stays down due to vertigo.
"Equilibrioception: the perception of balance."
Mao's vertigo ends but his body feels wrong like a broken puppet.
"Proprioception: the perception of body awareness."
Mao's body feeling returns to normal, but the world changes around him. He's in a blinding sunny desert, a vibrant rainforest, an erupting volcano, and finally a endless blue ocean.
"Sight also known as Vision. Detection of light patterns."
Mao finds himself back on the beach, but he hears things he doesn't understand. Rock n Roll music, the sound of cars and motorcycles, jackhammers, and planes taking off. The strange sounds scare the proud warrior.
"Hearing or Audition: detection of sound waves."
Mao's nose is assaulted by the foulest of orders and he can't stop them. Mundane cats have fourteen times the sense of smell of a human, let alone a panther yokai elevated with supernatural powers. To a panther yokai the smell of thioacetone is Hell.
"Smell or Olfaction: detection of chemical molecules in the air"
Mao's vomiting ends as the smell vanishes, but his mouth is filled with fire. He doesn't know what world record hot peppers are, but now he's tasting them and they hurt his sensitive tongue.
"Taste or Gustation: detection of chemical molecules in the mouth"
Mao's Chili head experience ends and finds himself being crushed.
"Touch or Tactition: detection of pressure, vibration, and texture on the skin."
"Why isn't anyone trying to stop you or end my humiliation!?"
"After you killed the Ape, your perception of time was also changed. Only a single second has passed in the real world."
"Perception of... Time? A second? Just one second?
In the real world, Mao is on the ground without a single wound but foaming at the mouth and eyes wide and empty. There is also a loud moaning sound and the smell of urine.
He doesn't even react when an enraged Jūra slices him to pieces with blades of wind.

Oda walks forward and gestures towards two oddballs in the service of the Black Tortoise Gōra - The Strength of the War Gods.
Nu [?]
The Girl of the Black Tortoise
Nu's sea-green eyes, like the depths of the ocean, hold a captivating mystery. Her long, flowing black hair cascades down her back, each strand shimmering with a hint of moonlight. The elegant kimono she wears, a masterpiece of silk and embroidery, whispers tales of the sea. Delicate waves, crashing against the shore, are woven into the fabric, while golden fish, their scales shimmering like jewels, dance amongst the currents. The kimono's sleeves, long and flowing, brush against the ground as she moves, creating a gentle rustle that echoes the whispers of the ocean breeze.
Oda's eyes narrow at the beautiful girl.
Xu the Corpse-Caller
The Emptiness of the Black Tortoise
Xu's appearance is striking, almost unnerving. His skin, the color of a washed-out sky, is taut and pale, giving him the appearance of a drowned corpse. His eyes, wide and white, stare blankly ahead, devoid of life. His black hair, matted and tangled, hangs limply around his face, adding to the impression of death.
He is draped in black robes, the fabric heavy and somber. Dark blue embroidery, reminiscent of swirling smoke, adorns the robes, hinting at a connection to the supernatural. The robes, combined with his tall, pointed hat, give him the air of a priest or sorcerer, a figure both revered and feared. In his hand, he carries a ringed staff, a shakujo, its polished wood gleaming faintly in the dim light. The staff, a symbol of authority and power, adds to the mystery surrounding Xu, leaving those who encounter him unsure of his true nature.
"How disappointing." says Oda.
"Disappointing (?)" says Xu, his voice sounding like sounds of insects imitating a human voice. Oda doesn't know if Xu is actually talking or merely parroting his sounds. He still decides to answer the possible question.
"I gave you two on one odds, but the girl ran away."
"What!?/What are you talking about?" comes the voices of Ryūra, Kyōra, Jūra, and Gōra, sounding confused.
Nu's body breaks into a school of phantasmal golden fish. There are tens of thousands of tiny translucent fish and sparkling scales, passing through solid objects like immaterial ghosts. The Four War Gods look for the real Nu amongst the illusion, but the real one isn't present.
"That coward." says Gōra, his turtle face somehow displaying rage, "Next time I see her I'll slice her into Sashimi and feed her to the first humans I find."
"Woah. That's the most you have said in all the years I've known you." says tiger Jūra.
"Kill the nobleman, Xu, or you will join Nu's fate." roars the dragon-turtle-island yokai.
Xu raises his ringed staff and chants a dark incantation, summoning a whirlpool of absurdly dark black water. The waters are so black, the edges can't be scene making it appear to resemble two-dimensional shadows more than water.
Nìsǐzhě de Shēnyuān
溺死者的深淵
"Abyss of the Drowned Dead."
Upon activation, the water around him explodes outward for a radius of a hundred meters, forming a black sphere encompassing himself and his target, Oda. Inside the sphere, the radius is significantly larger, creating an entirely different world—an endless dark abyss where the corpses of the dead are bound in spiked black chains and fall into an infinite watery grave. The water's depth inside the domain is impossible to determine, as it appears to be bottomless.
Upon entering this domain, one's senses are immediately overwhelmed by darkness and the haunting spectacle of countless drowned souls trapped within their watery prison. The ambient sound consists of muffled cries and whispers from the deceased, echoing throughout the abyss. The temperature within the domain is cold, a painful cold that pierces victims to the core of their bones. The spatial characteristics of this domain are unique because it creates an entirely separate world within its boundaries. Within this world Xu's death inducing attacks will always hit.
Oda doesn't feel pain as he floats in the Abyss bound by chains.
Oda doesn't feel scared at the horrors of the Abyss around him.
Oda doesn't die when Xu's death curses hit him.
Oda then poofs into a teddy bear.
Xu's jaw drops in disbelief, almost falling his rotten corpse face. He just pulled out his most powerful technique, the most powerful cursed technique that can be used. He brought forth the inner world of his corrupt soul and overwrote part of nature to attack Oda. Instead, he ending up attacking an ursine toy, a toy bear that a young child would hug to stave off fear of the dark.
Xu lets out a screech of rage, his jaw opening far wider than should be possible. It creates ripples in the dark cold waters of his own domain.
The Teddy Bear explodes.
Outside the technique, the black spherical shell of Nìsǐzhě de Shēnyuān explodes into a cloud of vanishing dark mist. Xu stands where the center of the dark sphere was located and Oda appears from where the edge was.
"The problem with projecting one's soul into the real world is it makes your soul vulnerable. If someone shatters your world with enough force, your soul is damaged. I'm telling this to you, the audience, because Xu won't be able to respond."
The soulless corpse that was once the greatest Tao sorcerer in recorded history - Xu the Corpse-Caller - The Emptiness of the Black Tortoise – crumbles into a pile of salt and dust, Xu's wet clothing falling on the pile of debris.

Two more commanders step forward to face Melissa. They have already created barriers against projectiles as they saw what her merely throwing rocks could do. They are also cautious about getting too close as they believe Melissa is far stronger than them. If they knew how strong Melissa actually is, they wouldn't want to fight her, let alone be on the same continent as her.
Xin, the Chimeric Scourge
The Heart of the Azure Dragon
Xin, the Chimeric Scourge, possesses a unique and striking appearance that sets her apart from other yokai. Her body is covered in dark green scales that shimmer in the light, giving her an almost ethereal quality. The lupine head atop her shoulders exude a sense of primal ferocity, with sharp fangs and piercing yellow eyes that seem to glow with an inner fire. The dragon's tail that extends from her lower back is long and sinuous, ending in a deadly scorpion stinger that glistens menacingly.
One of the most captivating features of Xin is the pulsating green glow emanating from her chest. This eerie light adds a mysterious and otherworldly aura to her already menacing presence, hinting at the immense power that lies within her. The way the light dances across her scales creates an entrancing spectacle, drawing attention to the heart of the Azure Dragon that beats within her.
Wei, the Lizard Monk
The Tail of the Azure Dragon
Wei, the Lizard Monk, is a unique and formidable humanoid reptilian yokai. His appearance is reminiscent of an Okinawa tree lizard, with scales covering his body, sharp claws that can easily tear through opponents, and a long, prehensile tail that adds to his agility and combat prowess. Despite his reptilian features, Wei is not a wild animal but rather a disciplined soldier with a strong sense of duty and loyalty.
Wei's ascetic monk attire conceals his true nature as a skilled warrior. He possesses deadly combat skills honed through rigorous training and experience on the battlefield. His agility in battle allows him to swiftly maneuver around opponents, utilizing both his sharp claws and tail as weapons to strike with precision and speed.
Xin and Wei move with superhuman speed until they stand opposite sides of Mellssa. Melissa tosses a couple stones to test their defenses and those stones moving faster than bullets bounce off invisible barriers. Xin's glowing heart shines and he raises his hand releasing bolts of lightning that travel to Wei's hand. The lightning goes through Wei's body before being released from his other hand and returning to Xin. The lighting forms a circuit that imprisons Melissa. It's not a bad idea as electricity can be used to disable someone with superior strength; the basis of a taser.
The problem for them is Melissa is also very aware of that potential weakness and she often works with electricity during her experiments. A weakness she'd trained with Izumi extensively to overcome.
Xin is surprised when Melissa jumps towards her despite the lightning technique and decapitates her with a single blow. Normally this would the end of the yokai commander, but Xin is not a normal monster. Xin's body explodes into a mass of thorny vines and a humanoid head replaces the discarded lupine head. The thorny vines wrap around Melissa and attempt to pierce her with thorns sharp enough to cut steel. Xin's eyes widen when the toxic thorns pierce armor and clothing only to be stopped by red skin. Xin responds to the lack of skin penetration by pumping in miasma and other toxins, all capable of melting fully armored warriors in seconds.
Melissa stays completely calm, even as her armor dissolves and waits until she spots the pulsating green glow. Melissa's crimson hand then explodes out of the thorny vine cocoon and pierces Xin's mass of vines. She pulls out the pulsating glow, which turns out to be Xin's heart-like core. Xin's eyes widen in horror before Melissa crushes the core in a spray of glowing green liquid. Xin collapses to the ground, the vines withering away.
Melissa is then surprised when Wei strikes her in the back with a glowing fist. The destructive energy of the attack is immense and Melissa ends up with a large burn wound on her back. Wei lost his arm to release that attack, but his trump card is revealed to be high speed regeneration. In seconds, Wei's arm is regenerated completely, but much to Wei's horror Melissa's back is also healed.
Wei is about to run, not carrying if he'll be on the run from Ryūra for the rest of his life. He's clearly no match against the red she-hulk and he has no intention of dying for War Lords. The only thing that distracts him is Melissa, whose clothing and armor has burnt away completely to reveal her two-meter-tall red-skinned beauty. Wei watches as she summons her futuristic N2 armored bodysuit that clings to her body like a second skin.
Wei is then punched by Melissa's fiery fist and the headless corpse collapses to the ground.
*Nemo*
Two Vermillion Bird Commanders under the command of Kyōra infused with the power of Chinese element of Fire. Two warriors who have killed a countless number of human and yokai, men and women, young and old. Two warriors known for being fearless and ruthless. Two warriors who internally scared for their lives and nervous enough to shed feathers.
The bloodlust they are sensing from the human in front of them is maddening. They haven't been this scared since they were chicks in their nests, scared of the world beyond the sticks and the warm feathers of their mothers. When they respectively gained [The Extended Net] and [The Wings] from Kyōra, they felt invincible, but before Himiko Toga they feel like those fragile chicks again.
Zhang - Owl Yokai
The Extended Net of Vermillion Bird
Zhang is an Owl yokai resembling a Japanese Scops Owl with grey-brown plumage, wide red eyes, and prominent ear tufts. What makes him different is outside his wings and legs ending is wickedly sharp talons, Zhang also has long feathered arms each ending in three fingers and an opposable thumb, which are tipped with talons. As he moves, he doesn't make a sound which makes him mysterious. He's dressed in a robe and straw-hat that hides his avian form.
Yi - Falcon Yokai
The Wings of the Vermillion Bird
Yi is a Falcon Yokai, with streamlined form and keen eyes. He has the head, claws, and wings of a Peregrine Falcon. Peregrine Falcons are known for speed, literally punching other birds out of there air at 240 miles (386 km) per hour. A yokai version of an animal is able to surpass the speed of its mundane counterpart, making Yi one of the fastest of flying Yokai.
He's dressed in a simply vest and pants, showing his prominent chest muscles. His weapon other than his fists is a huge bow on his back with a quiver of special arrows made from his own feathers.
"Silent Blaze" Zhang whispers the name of his original technique.
Zhang harnesses the power of fire in a silent but deadly attack. He releases concentrated bursts of invisible flame from his wings, creating a stealthy yet destructive assault that engulfs his enemies in flames without making a sound. Most of his enemies wouldn't have a chance to scream, they would just turn to ash inside an invisible fire. Only the rippling of the air from the heat would show the fires existence.
Himiko isn't like most people. She dances through the flames with a grace beyond cat yokai. Zhang doesn't understand how can dodge the flames that only he should be able to see.
"Vermillion Rain!"
Yi channels his power into his huge bow causing it to blacken and become covered in glowing cracks. Finally, the bow's outer layer shatters and a new bow composed of flames. This original technique sacrifices the bow for one final attack, but according to the Falcon yokai's instincts he won't have another chance. He pulls back the red string of the flame bow and a single arrow composed of blazing fire appears. He fires the arrow into the sky, which then explodes into s hundred arrows, which then explode into ten thousand arrows. Soon the sky above Himiko is red as the arrows blot out the sun. The heavy shower of flame arrows
Himiko continues to dance in the flames and the two avian commanders are filled with dread. Three questions run through their heads.
Is she toying with them?
Is she immune to fire?
Were they doomed from the beginning of the fight?
Himiko answers those questions, when she appears next to the two bird yokai clad in a strange black-and-red priestess uniform. She's also wielding a halberd resembling a farmer's scythe. It's blade burning with flames far hotter than anything they could accomplice together.
The point of contact vaporizes the bird monster's flesh instantly, creating a burst of superheated steam and a blinding flash of light. The surrounding air is superheated, causing a shockwave that knock back most of the spectators. The monsters are disintegrated, leaving behind only a small amount of ash.

I calmly walk forward with absolute confidence. My opponents don't have as much confidence.
Bi - Ox-Headed Yokai Commander
The Net of the White Tiger
Bi is an Ox-headed Yokai resembling the Greek Minotaur. He's a giant standing two and half meters tall with a very muscular body. He has red eyes positioned in front of the face to see his prey instead of at the sides like prey animals. He has sharp teeth meant to devour human flesh instead of the rounded teeth of herbivore. The tough skin is the purest black and his horns are like obsidian with gold rings. He's dressed in the armor of a Greek warrior. His weapons are a trident-like spear and a net much like those of a gladiator- an armed combatant who entertained audiences in the Roman Republic and Roman Empire.
I use my Analyse on him because I have one question.
Bi - Ox-Headed Yokai Commander
The Net of the White Tiger
Bi was born Biatas (Βιατάς) - A Greek word meaning 'violent' or 'fierce', which can emphasize the strength and wildness. He has an attempt by a Greek Alchemist to recreate the legendary monster - Minotaur Asterion. He wasn't easy to control and eventually killed his creator to be free, killing several other people in the process. One of the people killed was a Hero who after several months nearly killed Biatas. Biatas faked his own death and escaped Greece, eventually following the Silk Road to China, where it encountered the Four War Gods.
[Minotaur Physiology] [Alchemy] [The Net] [Yokai]
[Binding] [Thunderous Charge]
That's how a Greek minotaur ends up in Sengoku Jidai era Japan. The unique technique raises my eyebrow. It allows him to call lightning and then deliver a charged charge at his opponent.
Zi – Black Beast Commander
Turtle Beak of the White Tiger
Zi is a bestial, black-furred humanoid monster with a mane of white spiny fur on its head, arms, and back. He's dressed in heavy leather armor composed of many different animals and yokai. He even wears manacles with broken chains as bracelets and his entire body is decorated with numerous bone charms. His face is covered in a metal mask that resembles a turtle beak, which just adds to its SCP appearance. Zi's weapon of choice is a Chinese Battle Axe composed of a black alloy decorated with gold. I can sense the magic as his skills include [Magic Axemanship].
Bi raises his trident and lightning crackles across its surface, but I don't miss a faint purple glow flowing through the fibers of the net.
"Binding!"
Bi throws his net which moves unnaturally in the air, almost like a living creature. It's almost mesmerizing to watch the movements, like watching a lava lamp, but the only person that can tie me up is Izumi. I draw my sword and in three quick movements, I slice the glowing net to pieces. A four slash is not meant for the net, but Bi manages to block with his trident.
"Impressive. Most weapons don't have what it takes to stop my sword."
"My trident is one of many weapons forged by Hephaestus."
Suddenly, I sense an attack from behind me and I push Bi away from me. Metal spikes shoot through the space we were occupying and Zi continues to fire penetrating sprays of metal needles.
"I don't want to hear your banter; I want to see your blood!" yells Zi, near insane with bloodlust. He's firing those metal spikes from his mane.
Zi's spikes are moving faster than bullets, but they might as well be in slow motion. With one clean movement, I draw my sword and slice through Zi's waist, while he's attempting to run towards me. I mildly surprised when Zi doesn't die.
His spiky mane is sliced, but the remainder erupts into two-meter-long spikes to pierce me. I slice the spikes before they can reach me and slice Zi in half with my sword, but he doesn't fall.
Zi's sliced mask falls away to reveal a bestial face with a snout, many sharp teeth, and four green eyes. His leather clothing is also cut, revealing unharmed dark skin underneath.
"It won't work, swordsman. I'm immortal." says Zi, his eyes glowing an eerie green.
I scan his skills and find the source of his immortality with my gamer Analyse and find it.
[Stolen Lives] - Zi gains a life every time he kills a sentient being. Zi can negate any death or permanent injury by sacrificing a life. Life Count: 45,866.
It actually reminds me of Alucard from Hellsing: Ultimate; the vampire was immortal because he absorbed the souls of all the people whose blood they drank. At the end of the series, he had four million souls that he removed due to Schrödinger's sacrifice messing up his system for thirty years.
Bi attempts to attack me, while I'm distracted by my thoughts, but I reflectively block his attack. Zi swings his axe and a spectral axe many times the size of the real one strikes both of us. Due to my own spiritual pressure, I'm merely knocked across the sand like a beachball. Bi on the other hand is sliced apart and falls to the ground in a messy display.
"Why?" manages Bi, blood pouring from everywhere.
"I don't need you to hunt my prey. You're prey yourself." says Zi with disgust at the minotaur.
"αἰὲν ἀρούρα (aièn aroura)" say the minotaur reverting to his native tongue, before dying - "always cursed". The minotaur's body then turns to stone, a polished stone like the finest marble in all of Greece. He makes a very realistic and sad statue.
"Myriad Shadow Slice"
My darkness washes over the surprised Zi and it's over in an instant. Inside the darkness my speed is infinity and I slice Zi thousands of times, each slash instantly lethal. When the darkness clears, Zi cries out as the damage hits him. Zi dies 45,866 times, his body emitting a huge cloud of green particles before he collapses to his knees. His eyes are wide with shock. It's ironic, but the only reason he's alive is because he killed his own comrade before I delivered my attack.
Life Count: 1
"I am a predator. I kill to survive. To survive I kill. Their lives feed mine. I can't die. I must kill. I must survive. I am a Hunter." rambles Zi and it's clear his mind is breaking down. I'm unsure if it was the shock of dying over forty-five thousand times in mere seconds, his powers being pushed passed their limits, or some other form of mental illness.
I slowly walk over to him and pierce his head with my blade. All movements and sounds instantly stop, as he freezes like statue. As the counter reaches 0 an eerie green light ripple across Zi's body. Zi's flesh and bones crumble to dust and blow away, leaving decaying leather and manacles to fall into the sand of the battered beach.

Wei the Merchant
The Rooftop of the Black Tortoise
Wei has a frail and gaunt appearance, with long, spindly fingers and a crooked smile. His skin is ashen, and his eyes are a piercing, unnatural red. He has long, wild hair, which is streaked with gray, and always wears a tattered, dark robe. Hanging from his waist is an ancient, weathered leather pouch, which he uses to store various mysterious items.
Wei's frail exterior is a strategic move. His long, spindly fingers are perfect for intricate tasks that require a steady hand and precise movements. His crooked smile, while unnerving, is a disarming tactic that puts others at ease, making it easier for him to manipulate them. His ashen skin and wild, gray-streaked hair add to his mysterious and otherworldly aura, further enhancing the deception.
Wei pulls out a small gold puzzle box from his pouch and moves his fingers with precise movements. As the puzzle box opens, it begins to grow and grow until the puzzle box that could fit in his withered palm is now bigger than the old merchant's entire body.
Humanoid figures dressed in white masks and robes emerge from the box. They move like living creatures, but after a century of observing Oda's puppetry, she can tell a living humanoid from an animated construct.
The Twelve Puppet Soldiers are all identical. Each one is 160 centimeters tall with lean builds and dressed in white robes that make them look like clergy of some religion. There limbs are wrapped in white bandages secured by metal rings and their bandage wrapped faces are featureless white masks made of porcelain. The only differences between them are collars around their necks with different kanji.

"Normally, I would spread my wares among the enemies. Cursed items and poisons that would either spell the slow deaths of my foolish customers or bring them under our control. Since you can't be deceived, I will show you my greatest show." says Wei, laughing with villainous glee.
What he's doesn't expect is for a nigh invisible thread of spider silk attach to his chest and then yank him towards Izumi, leaving the Twelve Guardians standing where they were summoned. As he flies towards the beautiful Izumi, she casually slaps him into the sand. Wei tries to recover only to realize there is an ofuda on the side of his face and he can't move. Wei is now terrified as either Izumi will kill him now that he's helpless or War god Gora will kill him for his failure.
"Shi, a little backup please." he yells, badly broken.
Shi the Black
Encampment of the Black Tortoise.
Shi's appearance is unsettling, a stark contrast to the vibrant world around him. His body is not flesh and bone, but a viscous, black tar-like liquid, constantly shifting and undulating. This liquid, though seemingly formless, is contained within a suit of black and gold samurai armor, a stark contrast to the fluidity of his form. The armor, though ornate and intricate, is marred by the constant dripping of the black liquid, creating a sense of decay and unease.
The armor itself is a testament to Shi's past, a reminder of his former life as a human warrior. The black plates are etched with intricate patterns, reminiscent of ancient Japanese calligraphy, while the gold accents gleam with a sinister brilliance. The armor's design is both elegant and menacing, reflecting Shi's dual nature as a warrior and a creature of darkness.
Shi's weapon, a Guandao, further emphasizes his unsettling nature. This massive polearm, also known as a yanyuedao, is a symbol of power and authority in Chinese culture. Its long, curved blade, reminiscent of a crescent moon, is capable of delivering devastating blows.
He doesn't say a word and it's unknown if he's mute by nature or doesn't having anything to say. He merely pierces the sandy surface of the beach 12 times.
The black tar-like ooze erupts from the sand near the Guardian puppets and flows into them. There white robes are stained and turn an ash grey. There white bandages turn black and the masks darken and develop red-purple cracks. The Guardian puppets develop a sickening aura of malevolent energy and take stances similar to Shi the Black. Black liquid erupts from the palms of Guardians, forming and hardening into weapons.
"You bastard. Stealing my favorites..." says Wei, his body withering as his power is stolen with his puppets, "You didn't even make a... deal."
The air crackles with the energy of a hundred battles as the Twelve Guardian puppets, twisted and corrupted by the black tar, launch themselves at Izumi Drake. Their movements are a blur, a chaotic ballet of limbs and blades, but Izumi is a whirlwind of her own. Her spider sense, honed over a century of battles, whispers warnings in her mind, a symphony of precognitive whispers guiding her every move.
Izumi, a blur of crimson and silver, dances through the onslaught. She is a spider weaving a web of impossible movements, dodging each attack with a grace that belies the deadly intent of her foes. The puppets, once guardians of peace, are now instruments of chaos, their eyes burning with a malevolent light. Each one is a deadly arsenal, their bodies concealing hidden blades and explosives, their hands ready to unleash a torrent of magical energy.
But Izumi is not merely dodging; she is countering. Her movements are fluid, a seamless blend of martial arts and supernatural agility. She weaves through the puppet's attacks, her own strikes landing with the precision of a surgeon's scalpel. Each blow is a symphony of force and finesse, aimed at disrupting the puppets' movements and exploiting their weaknesses.
The first puppet, a hulking behemoth with a spiked club, swings its weapon with brutal force. Izumi, anticipating the attack, leaps over the club, her hand flashing out to strike a pressure point on the puppet's neck. The puppet stumbles, its movements faltering as the force of the blow disrupts its internal energy flow.
The second puppet, a nimble figure armed with a pair of poisoned daggers, lunges at Izumi, its blades glinting in the dim light. Izumi, her spider sense tingling with the threat, spins away, her legs blurring as she executes a series of acrobatic maneuvers. The daggers whiz past her, leaving only a whisper of danger in their wake.
The third puppet, a wiry figure with a staff tipped with a glowing orb, unleashes a wave of magical energy. Izumi, her eyes narrowed in focus, deflects the attack with a swift movement of her hand, the energy dissipating harmlessly around her. She then strikes, her fist connecting with the puppet's chest, sending it crashing to the ground.
The battle continues, a whirlwind of motion and energy. Izumi, a spider in the heart of a storm, weaves her way through the chaos, her movements a testament to her mastery of her powers. Each puppet falls, their corrupted forms succumbing to her relentless assault.
As the last puppet collapses, its eyes dimming, Izumi stands amidst the wreckage, her breath coming in ragged gasps. Her body aches, her muscles screaming for rest, but her spirit is unbroken. She has faced the darkness and emerged victorious, a testament to the strength of her will and the power of her spider totem.
Shi the Black attempted to join the battle on the side of his puppets, but the undead yokai found himself caught in a web of invisible silk threads, each one many times stronger and more elastic than steel. As Shi attempted to escape the web trap, Izumi took care of the puppets with relative ease.
Oda then sends a secret message with a hand signal that makes the others grin.
The tar is very flammable.
Izumi releases an electrical blast, either a bioelectric venom blast or lightning infused into one of her invisible web lines. It doesn't matter the method of generation as the end result is the same. The tar violently ignites with surprising force. Fire is a very common power among yokai and even civilians tend to use fire against strange monsters. Nemo is wondering how this tar monster has lasted this long. Even the twelve guardian puppets linked to their new master burst into flames.

The war gods are getting angrier and angrier with time, there auras filled with rage becoming visible. They have lost the majority of their commanders in minutes. Each of the War Gods only has a single commander left!
Ji, the Hidden
Winnowing Basket of the Azure Dragon
Ji, the Hidden, cuts a striking figure amidst the mysterious realm of yokai. Clad in dark green garb that envelops him like a shroud of the forest, his presence is shrouded in enigma and intrigue. His attire, reminiscent of the traditional attire of a tengu, hints at his enigmatic nature, blending seamlessly with the shadows in which he roams.
The centerpiece of his visage is the hauntingly beautiful yet menacing plague mask that adorns his face, transforming him into an otherworldly being that strikes fear into the hearts of those who dare to cross his path. Behind its intricate design lies eyes that gleam with ancient wisdom and a fierce determination, betraying the depths of power and knowledge that lie within.
Ji's form is lean and agile, a testament to his skills as an archer unparalleled in the land. His movements are as graceful as the dance of the leaves in the wind, yet as deadly as the strike of lightning that he commands. As he notches his bow and draws back the string, an aura of crackling energy surrounds him, heralding the devastating power that is about to be unleashed.
Zhen - Eagle Yokai
The Chariot of the Vermillion Bird
Zhen, as an Eagle Yokai based on a Steller's Sea Eagle, has a massive build with broad wings, measuring up to 8 feet across. He has a striking appearance, with his plumage predominantly dark brown, except for a white tail and yellow beak. His eyes are a piercing yellow, reflecting his keen vision. His size, undoubtedly, makes him an imposing figure among the Vermillion Bird war god's servants and warriors.
Zhen dwarfs his fellow yokai, his wingspan easily exceeding that of a human. His massive frame is covered in feathers of a deep, rich brown, with hints of white on his head and tail.
His talons are razor-sharp and capable of tearing through flesh and bone with ease. He uses them with deadly precision in combat, striking with lightning speed. Zhen's eyes are piercing and sharp, capable of seeing details that are invisible to the naked eye. He can spot enemies from miles away, making him an excellent scout and strategist.
Zhen's face is a mask of fierce determination, his beak slightly open as if ready to unleash a powerful cry. His eyes are filled with a burning intensity, reflecting his unwavering loyalty to the Vermillion Bird.
Shen – The spiked armor
Three Stars of the White Tiger
Shen, the weirdest of the Seven Commanders of the White Tiger, is a creature of striking and unusual appearance. He resembles a mass of spiky black fur, clad in samurai armor that seems to meld seamlessly with his body. His most striking feature is his three eyes, which glow like white stars, each one radiating a powerful, almost otherworldly light.
His body is long and lean, with two long limbs that end in three long, blade-like claws. These claws are sharp and deadly, capable of tearing through flesh and bone with ease. His thick, bipedal legs end in three short claws, providing him with a powerful and agile gait.
Shen's fur is thick and bristly, providing him with both insulation and protection. The armor he wears is a testament to his warrior nature, crafted from a material that is both strong and flexible. It is adorned with intricate carvings and symbols, hinting at his ancient lineage and the power he wields.
Bi the Magician
The Wall of the Black Tortoise
Bi is a small ogre, approximately the size of a child's doll, floating on a black scroll. He has gray skin, gold eyes with black sclera, and a bald head with five small horns forming a crown. He wears doll-sized clothing, suggesting a playful or whimsical nature despite his ogre origins. His lack of physical prowess and reliance on magic further emphasizes his unique and unconventional approach to combat.
He floats in the air resting on a huge scroll. The scroll, crafted from the finest silk, is a testament to the artistry of the Three Kingdoms era. Its surface, a deep, rich crimson, is adorned with intricate patterns of gold leaf, depicting mythical creatures and celestial bodies. The scroll itself is massive, measuring approximately six feet in length and two feet in width. It is rolled tightly around a wooden dowel, secured with a silken cord adorned with jade beads.
Ji glows with a fierce blue-green glow before he fires a glowing arrow that would impress the Archer Servants of Nasuverse. The arrow fueled by the life force of the forest shines like a meteorite and shakes the earth.
Irene conjures a swirling mystic fire that disintegrates and absorbs the arrow.
Zhen glows with a Vermillion aura and Zhen's feathers look like they are composed of sparkling white ash. He then releases a brilliant fireball that melts the sands beneath its path as it streaks towards its target.
Irene conjures a wall of sandstone from the beach and the enchantments cause it to absorb the heat and flames of the yokai's attack before it can detonate.
Shen glows with a white aura that makes wind and sand swirl around him. He strikes the Earth and metal spikes charged with ethereal white energy erupt from the surface of the sandy beach. A path of those spikes streaks towards Irene in an attempt to impale her ten thousand times.
Irene conjures a barrier of water that acts like impossibly strong acid. The instant the spikes try to penetrate the barrier to pierce her, they instantly dissolve into the water.
Bi glows with a sea blue aura that waters droplets of water swirl around him. He then moves those droplets until they form six black spheres. Those spheres then release high pressure water jets capable of slicing metal with ease.
Irene raises her hand and the water jets are pulled into a sphere of water held above her palm. The water ball then becomes a stream of water and ice that hits Zhen like a missile. The water and ice extinguish the Eagle yokai's fire powers and the force of the attack extinguishes the last Vermillion Bird commander's life.
Irene releases her own fiery blast towards Shen, blasting through all of his spikes before colliding with his body to create a massive fiery explosion
Irene uses her enchantment magic to gather the metal fragments and creates sawblades. She then spends those rotating blades at supersonic speeds at Ji. Ji The Hidden could dodge a barrage of ten thousand arrows, but not Irene's ten blades which slice him to pieces.
Irene then causes the sand to become a sandstone hand that closes around Bi the Magician. Bi is able to create a spherical barrier to protect himself, but it's clear the barrier won't hold long as glowing cracks appear in the translucent barrier. He cries and begs the war gods for help, but the four war gods are more concerned with their bruised egos to care about the little ogre, Finally, the barrier shatters and stone hand finally closes. Bi is crushed into a fine paste which stains what remains of the magic scroll.
The War Gods have lost. All twenty-eight commander, excluding the one that ran away, are dead.

Ryūra is silent and unmoving, but it's clear he's angry. His eyes are filled with rage and faintly glowing, which arcs of yoki-fueled electricity crawl across his body.
Kyōra is surrounded by raging inferno that pulsates with heavy breathing. He's trying to be beautiful and elegant, but all he wants to do is incinerate everyone with his rage-fueled flames.
Jūra lets out a thunderous roar of rage, veins visible on his skin.
Gōra is shaking with rage, creating massive waves with his giant body. He looks like he's a minute away from bombarding the entire island until it sinks into the ocean.
"Let's do this." I comment before we pick out our dance partners.

Ryūra, the Dragon Warlord
Azure Dragon of the Eastern Woods
Vs
Nemo Drake
Black Dragon Swordsman
Ryūra and I speed towards each other at speeds no human eye could comprehend. As our blades collide there is a visible shockwave distorting the air. A shockwave tainted by the faint blue of ionization caused by my spiritual pressure and his like lightning-based abilities. Hi demonic swords Fūjinga and Raijinga control wind and lightning respectively. My own Zanpakutō Kurayami counters with darkness and spirit.
Our blades continue to clash at supernatural speeds, creating a storm of sand, darkness, and lightning around us as a mere side effect. My own swordsmanship is clearly superior, but Ryūra could have could have centuries if no millennia of experience and I'm not used to fighting a dual-wielder.
"Impressive, Ryūra." I say as I hold his blades back with my own, enduring several lightning strikes and wind slashes generated by the demonic blades. "But there is one thing you don't know."
"And what's that, nameless foreign dragon?"
"I'm way stronger than you."
I knock him back with my full strength and he tumbles through the air out of control, digging a trench in the beach when he hits the surface. He gets to his feet, but he's bruised, scratched, and dirtied by sand and mud. He looks at me at complete disbelief.
Seriously, the yokai of Inuyasha can be powerful, but their strongest physical acts are lifting trees and boulders, not the nuclear-level punches of My Hero Academia. With my Fairy Tail Super-Dragon strength I could probably lift a castle even in human form.
"Tenryūjinrai!"
Tenryūjinrai or Heavenly Dragon Blade Lightning or just Dragon Lightning is Ryūra's personal attack. Ryūra points the tip of his thunder blade towards the sky and it calls down a lightning bolt directly from a cloud to electrocute his opponents. I could dodge the lightning bolts as they aren't the fastest attacks I've faced, but I decide to endure them as it will demoralize the arrogant blue-haired wannabe god.
My sword collides with his and he's sent flying by the force of my blow. I then flash step into his flight path and strike him again. I continue to this playing a one-man game with Ryūra as the ball. My final blow sends him flying into the forest with enough speed to snatch the thickest trees like chopsticks. Ryūra is bleeding badly from my combo and his swords look like they are damaged.
"Sōryū Hatō!"
蒼龍破濤
Azure Dragon Storm Wave!
The Ryūra who Inuyasha fought against was a weakened version who was not only without his power sphere for a long period of time, but was also hadn't been in battle for the same period of time. Ryūra was a lot weaker than he used to be and Inuyasha was able to defeat him, the same way he was able to kill the weakened dragon daiyōkai Ryūkotsusei.
Ryūra raises his sword and a vortex of blue-green energy swirls around the blade before erupting into pillar of white lightning. He'd brings the blade down as if wielding a kilometer long sword. It looks more like a Prana Burst from Nasuverse's Fate series than a Inuyasha attack. It's powerful enough that I feel pain as I'm sent flying back. When the attack ends, I'm on my back with regenerating burns and molten glass instead of beach sand beneath me. Ryūra is surprised when I jump back onto my feet.
"Kokuryūha!"
黒龍波
Black Dragon Wave!
Ryūra's eyes widen as I send out a wave of abyssal darkness and malevolent energy. He also underestimates the speed of the attack as it strikes him. He's fast enough to block with his crossed swords, but the damaged Fūjinga and Raijinga crack and explosively shatter in his hands. The black dragon wave like a blade of darkness continues its path of destruction and slices Ryūra in half. The dragon daiyōkai can't even cry out as he disintegrates.
I do notice the Azure Dragon Power Orb containing Ryūra's soul fly off, but I'm not worried about the D&D style soul jar (phylactery or Horcrux). I have family.

Kyōra, the Phoenix Warlord
Vermillion Bird of the Southern Flames
Vs
Izumi Drake
The Spider Woman
Irene
The Scarlet Hope
Kyōra is the most arrogant and self-absorbed of the four war gods. Kyōra, like the rest of the Shitōshin, is extremely sadistic. He has a penchant for battle and loves the slaughter and destruction that goes along with it. He hates the weak and will slaughter humans and peaceful yokai without a care. Despite his barbaric lust for carnage, Kyōra is very refined in manner and appearance. He is soft-spoken and carries himself with grace and sophistication.
"Flame-haired beauty, you carry yourself like nobility and I sense the power of a foreign dragon. Why do you help weaklings, when you are so far beyond them as they are above ants?"
"I was the Queen of a Kingdom five hundred years ago." says Irene as the air around her glows with red particles. "It was a human kingdom that I dearly loved and I fought for the peace of humans and dragons. That kingdom may long be gone, but I still fight for my family and friends."
Kyōra is about to ask more questions, when Izumi cuts off his words with an upper cut. The force of the punch is enough to launch Kyōra into the sky and if the Bird daiyōkai wasn't as powerful as he was, her punch would have torn his head off. Kyōra knew the Spider woman had stealth abilities, but he wasn't able to detect her until her fist was breaking his jaw.
Kyōra waves his Burning Demon Fan (Kujakusen) to unleash a storm of giant birds composed of fire. The bird daiyōkai watches as Izumi dodges with superhuman grace despite him manipulating each bird to attack with more precision. He admits her movements are mesmerizing and the same part of him not consumed by battle lust is envious of the black dragon Nanashi.
Izumi avoids each bird of fire and gets close to bird daiyōkai and deliver a bone-crushing blow. The war god is hit again and again, juggled by Izumi's punches as she moves faster and faster to deliver them. Kyōra unleashes his immense demonic power in order to push Izumi back and get the pain to stop.
"You dare think you can stand against a war god?" says Kyōra as fire erupts around him and his body generates immense heat. "My flames shall...!"
"Grand Enchantment: Sealed Domain: Flame Zero"
Kyōra's eyes widen when a dark power erupts from Irene and everything within ten meters is sealed in dome (possibly a sphere if the field goes below the ground surface). Inside the sphere everything is grayscale and Kyōra's flames are gone. No matter how much he struggles he can't summon them.
"All flame is extinguished. No fire can be ignited. All powers that summon flames are sealed." says Irene, "I ask you war god Kyōra, how strong are you without your flames."
"I am still strong." says the bird, his eyes glowing as Izumi gets close to him. He unleashes a storm of red lightning whose thunder creates a visible shockwave. He hopes the surprise attack will at least disable Izumi and disrupt Irene's concentration so he can get hid fire back.
Instead, he watches as Izumi absorbs the red lightning and accelerates to become a red blur. Faster than he can comprehend, Izumi's hand pierces his chest at thousands of times the speed of sound. All he knows is pain and light, as the flesh and bones of his torso are vaporized. There would be fire is the fire wasn't sealed within the domain of the Queen. Next moment, the bird daiyōkai is sent outside of the collapsing domain with such force he becomes a vermillion streak of light. The daiyōkai's body is disintegrated, mostly by the initial attack and the path, and what remains impacting the stones and trees like buckshot. All that remains is the Power Orb containing Kyōra's soul which flies away.
Irene considers sealing the orb, but she doesn't have a need for pet birdy.

Jūra, the Tiger Warlord
White Tiger of the Western Winds
Vs
Doctor Nobunara Oda
The Phantasmal Genius
Jūra is extremely sadistic and arrogant, and has no regard for life. He also has a temper and is prideful, so any insult to him or his brother is taken seriously. This is why he practically foaming at the mouth with rage after Oda's creative insults.
"You..."
Jūra's list of insults is getting longer and more explicit with his rage. The latest insult even raises his eyebrows. His language became especially bad when Oda stole Jūra's favorite weapon and the tiger daiyōkai yelled like a child whose favorite toy was taken.
He also transformed.
Jūra In his second form, Jūra becomes a lot more muscular, causing him to lose all of his clothes, except for his pelt. He sprouts three spikes from each of his shoulders. All of his limbs grow a great deal. It makes him look more grotesque and inhuman. It also makes him stronger and far faster as he's fully tapping into his true animalistic side.
Jūra's supernaturally sharp claws coated in the slicing wind tear through teddy bear after teddy bear. He attempted to shred Oda, but every time he attacked his claws would pass through Oda's illusionary doppelgängers.
"Coward!" roars Jūra, his skin and fur soaked in dark liquid. As he tore apart Nemo's toys, they sprayed oil or lubricant-like blood, which did little to soothe the tiger's rage. He's not sticky and smelling foul with the liquid which is causing a hurricane of wind due to his rage-fueled aura.
"Fool." says Doctor Oda and this time the tiger smells the scent of a living person over the spell of the oil and metal smells. He charges towards Oda with wild abandonment, only for a wall of metal bars to appear from the ground around him. The tiger attempts to break the weak bars, only to learn too late they are highly conductive and electrified.
As Jūra cries out and temp paralyzed by the shock, the electrical arcs ignite the oil soaking his body. The extremely flammable oil mixture burns hot and his attempts to summon his powers only feeds more oxygen into the flames. After several minutes, Jūra collapses to the ground.
Oda isn't a fool and causes metal spikes to shoot upward impaling Jūra through all of his vitals. Jūra's corpse finally collapses into ash and blackened bone. The only thing remaining is the power orb containing his soul that flies off.
Oda considers sniping the orb out the air, but he's curious about the End Boss.

Gōra, the Turtle Warlord
Black Warrior of the Northern Waters
Vs
Melissa Oda
The Iron-Woman
and
Himiko Toga
The Blood Dancer
Gōra is not a strategic genius. He's not humanoid like the other war gods, so he didn't develop combat skills or martial arts over thousands of years. He's a dragon-turtle yokai the size of a small island whose main attack is large scale bombardment. When you only have a hammer to swing, you learn to swing your hammer good.
To be fair, Gōra did manage to keep the two women away from him for several minutes by firing off a barrage of energy attacks. If he wasn't focused on firing on the two women, he could easily carpet bomb the entire island in rubble. The turtle's attacks are not very accurate, but until this point he's never faced opponents possessing such supernatural agility having left those fights to his band of brothers.
Gōra cries out in pain and panic as Himiko ignites a cloud of her blood to create a blinding light like a flash bomb. When his eyes have mostly healed, he finds the two female attacks have vanished from his senses. All that remains is a red mist spread across the water's surface smelling of human blood.
Then he notices Melissa is standing on the back of his shell, the same mist clinging to her red-skinned body. She's also holding a huge metal mechanical device. In its center is strange smooth metal rod the size of a small tree – 20 feet in length and six inches in radius. He knows the item is an extremely dangerous by instinct alone. Gōra with his limited knowledge of technology and this being 15th century Japan wouldn't recognize the device as an electromagnetic launcher. He also can't read the English Letters on it that read "Danger", "This way forward", and "High Voltage.". It also has a name plate in English reading "THUNDERSTRIKE TITAN Mark V"
The machine is humming and making mechanical sounds that make the aquatic beast nervous. They are like the heartbeats of a malevolent god of fire and metal. The so-called War God fears the wraith of a far darker god. The weapon lets out a hiss of steam and the bone-shaking sound can be heard throughout Horai Island.
The sound reaches 180 dB according to the gauge on the side, which is well above the threshold of pain for human ears let alone the enhanced hearing of an aquatic Yokai. The science of the sound is not as important as, the impact of the rod hitting its target at hypersonic speeds, and the resulting shockwave propagating through the air.
The metal rod, propelled by the force of the coil gun/piledriver, moves through the air at high speed. It cuts through the air, creating a sonic boom that can be heard from a distance. The rod's trajectory is aimed at the hardest point of the shell of Gōra.
The Turtle daiyōkai cries out as his once invincible shell is broken sending a geyser of blood into the sky and creating immense waves in the ocean. Gōra can feel the damage to his organs and knows even with the Power Orb feeding him the power of the ocean, he won't survive. He can even see the waters around him darkened with his own spilled blood. Gōra raises his head and attempt to detonate his body, but he feels something freeze his body.
Himiko soaked by the Turtle daiyōkai's blood is also crouched on his broken shell with a large smile that scares the massive monster. Her eyes are filled with joy at the bloody geyser as if it's one of most beautiful works of art in mankind's history. To the blood-loving Himiko that's not too far from the truth. She decided to preserve the work of art.
"Blood Art Crystallization!"
Gōra can't even cry out as every single drop of his blood crystalizes. The giant monster's entire circulatory system becomes a solid crystal structure from the heart to the smallest capillaries. The crystallization even extends into the marrow of bones and the broken shell, causing them to petrified which makes the cracked shell look opalescent like the inside of an oyster shell.
Melissa and Toga watch as Gōra's crystalized corpse sinks to rest at the bottom of the bey. Gōra is so massive even resting on the bay's bottom, it's long necked head and shell are still above the water.
Melissa and Toga also watch as Gōra's Power Orb leaves the new bay statue in an intangible state containing Gōra's intangible soul. It streaks to where the other three orbs are circling each other on the beach.
*Nemo*
The four orbs finally reunited streak into the sky and create a blinding golden flash. Then a purple sphere of evil energy appears before streaking into the ground as lightning.
A New War God is born from the souls of the previous four. The Shitōshin is a chimeric asura-like demon. It has a humanoid body like Ryūra, Kyōra, and Jūra, but possess the dark reptilian skin of Gōra and possesses both Ryūra and Jūra's arms. He's wearing armor made of Gōra's shell with spikes taken from Jūra and Kyōra's scarfs. He's also holding Ryūra's fully regenerated swords which were probably recreated by his evil energy. As he roars, he releases large arcs of lightning from his body which create burning trails and cause structures and trees to explode on contact.

Goraishi, the Final Warlord
Shitōshin Daiyōkai
The Four War Gods attained their power by stealing the powers of the Four Symbols, they also stole the power of the Yellow Dragon of the Earth, the divine beast manifestation of The Emperor. Not able to divide it or willing to share it, they sealed the Dragon Orb using the Four Symbol Orbs. Only when all four were dead, would a Fifth be born to avenge them. The rumor of this form's existence led people to believe they were actually a single being separated into four demons with Goraishi bring there "true form". Due to Ryūra being the dominant as the leader, he became the base of the body and its powers are most lightning dominant.
[[List]]
"Fools," he begins, his voice dripping with disdain. "You dare to stand against us, the Four War Gods, the rightful rulers of this world? You, weak and pitiful creatures, think you can defeat us, when you cannot even comprehend the power, we wield?"
He gestures towards the seals that bind the Dragon Orb, his smirk growing wider as he continues. "You speak of peace, of harmony between humans, yōkai, and hanyō. Yet, you are blind to the truth. The world is meant to be ruled by the strong, by those who possess true power. And we, the Shitōshin Daiyōkai, are the embodiment of that power."
His gaze falls upon the heroes, his expression darkening. "But I grow tired of your insignificance. It is time for you to learn your place, to kneel before your masters."
His speech is cut short when Melissa's crimson armored fist punches him in the jaw of his main Ryūra face. The arrogant war god goes flying across beach, creating explosions of sand as he skips across the surface like a stone skipping on water. He finally collides with a boulder that explodes into gravel, but slows him enough to stop.
"Hero Tips: If the villain is monologuing, he's distracted and open to attack," says Melissa quoting one of Izumi's Hero Magazines. She then adds a line from an American Hero Magazine, "If your villain is a racist a-hole, don't bother listening to his speech as he won't have anything intelligent to say."
Izuku and Izumi had a 5-hour debate about listening to villains. They came to agree that in some cases listening to villains can help deescalate a situation, while other times a good punch can end a fight.
"You consider yourself a Hero? Then save them!?" yells Goraishi, before launching a lightning strike towards a cabin. Inside, a human mother and yōkai father are shielding their hanyō son Shion. Oda failed to evacuate them because this part of the beach is a different side of the island than the one facing the four war gods, but this battle has travelled a long way.
Goraishi's attack is stopped with an Izumi swings on a web line into the path of the attack. There is an explosion of smoke and flame. The war god smiles at first thinking, he's killed one of the Heroes, but then Izumi emerges. Much of her clothing has burnt away and her green hair is glowing and sparkling like a thunder god's mane. It was at this moment, Goraishi knew he fucked up.
"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." says Izumi, appearing in front of Goraishi, "Let's see if I can teach you."
Izumi becomes a blur of motion, striking Goraishi at speed surpassing anything the other war gods encountered. Goraishi hears a terrible noise, it's the sound of thunderous strikes, breaking bones, and screaming. The latter two are him. He's juggled in the air by the attacks, unable to counter. When the attack ends, he's falling back towards the beach head first.
"Musūkagekiri"
無数影斬り
Myriad Shadow Cut!
I attack with my Dragon-Slaying swordsmanship, brutally cutting off Goraishi's arms and causing his body to spray blackish blood before hitting the sand. I look down at the crippled yokai lord and is reminded of the wannabe demon lord Clayman. In the series "Reincarnated as a Slime," Shion is responsible for chopping off Clayman's arms during their battle before Clayman's Pseudo-Awakening transformation. Shion's sword Hercules' Edge also looks a lot like the Inuyasha's sword Tessaiga.
Goraishi leaps to his feet, his limbs regenerating in a burst of demonic power thanks to Kyōra's phoenix regeneration, but I punch him on reflex sending him flying back, where he's grabbed by Oda's teddy bears.
"Did something happen?"
"I got distracted by how pathetic he is!"
"You son of a..." says Goraishi, before his rage makes him go nonverbal. He lets out a thunderous roar louder than any he or Jūra has ever made. He also sends out lightning so powerful it overwhelms and destroys Oda's furry automatons. Barriers erected by Irene and Oda protect everyone else, with Izumi soaking up any rogue sparks.
Goraishi starts screaming and releasing blast after blast of demonic energy.
Himiko dances between the attacks calling upon the blood of Kagutsuchi. As she dances with passion, her body is filled with heat. A normal woman would be sweating from the sheer effort of the dance, but instead of sweat her body produces a red mist which is her own blood. The blood mist glows a crimson before it ignites into supernatural flames. The divine flames follow the will of the Kagura dancer.
"Crimson Dance of the Fire God!"
Irene claps her hands together almost like she's praying. It causes five talismans to fly out of her priestess robes and float in front of her. Each talisman is glowing a different color and is marked with the names of different gods associated with different elements. Irene inhales and five talisman disintegrates into their auras and are sucked into Irene's mouth much like how Natsu or Igneel would consume fire. She exhales steam slightly and prismatic light can be seen in her mouth.
"Five-Element Dragon: Sage Dragon Roar!"
Irene's Onmyōdō-enhanced dragon roar breath attack combines with Himiko's divine flames in a Unison Raid. A blast of brilliant white flames surrounded by swirling iridescent lights.
"Ame no Ohabari!"
天之尾羽張
"Heaven-Point-Blade-Extended"
This attack is seriously overkill.
In the original timeline, when Inuyasha and Kagome fought a weaker version of this Shitōshin Daiyōkai , the heroes managed to pierce Goraishi with a single sacred arrow and then destroy him with a combination of the Backlash Wave and the Adamant Barrage.
This beam of dragon-fueled magic enhanced by nature and divine flame isn't stopped by the war god's barrier. It's not even slowed down as the barrier doesn't last a tenth of a second. The beam of unimaginable destructive energy pierces Goraishi's body completely and keeps going. It even pierces the time barrier surrounding the island and hits the coast of feudal Japan. It causes a mushroom cloud and I wonder if future scientist will be wondering about meteorite strikes or extraterrestrial nukes.
Goraishi has a look of disbelief on his face as blue flames spread from the hole in his torso turning his body into a statue of ash, before the ash itself collapses releasing a burst of blue-and-gold flames.
"Overkill."

Horai Island
1493
A small boat slowly approaches Horai Island, passing through a complex barrier that prevents those with evil intentions from coming close to the island. Any fool that tries to force their way onto the magic island suffers a fate determined by their intentions. Those who are merely greedy or arrogant find themselves lost in a faraway land, but those who intent to harm the people of the island will not leave alive.
On the boat is a beautiful Miko with long black hair and dressed in the traditional white and red robes. She also has a long bow and quiver of handmade arrows. Her companion is far more interesting as he's an inu hanyō (dog half demon). He's an average height, standing at 168 cm, with a lean, wiry frame that belies his massive strength. He also has gold eyes with odd pupils, waist long silver hair with short bangs, sharp claw-like nails, and sharp canine teeth. He also has two adorable dog ears on the top of his head. He's dressed in red robes made from the fur of the fire rat.
"Are you sure about this, Kikyō?"
"According to legends, Horai Island is a safe place where humans, yōkai, and hanyō can live together in peace. After meeting you, I decided I wanted to see such a place." says the priestess.
"That annoying flea Myōga said the island was invaded a hundred years ago." says Inuyasha, "Daiyōkai from Shina attacked because they were looking for the true Horai found by Jofuku, they considered hanyō weak, and despised peace."
Suddenly, they find themselves past the barrier and their eyes widen in surprise.
Horai Island has changed in a century of time due to its new residents. The island with its sandy beaches and verdant forests has expanded in size and now has an ethereal paradise. While it was once just a normal island hidden by magic, it's now a truly magical island matching the true Horai of legends in fantastical elements.
It's not just magic, there is advancements in technology. There are beautiful well-built buildings, paved roads, and a port with several boats. There is also a huge stone structure on the island that would make Osaka Castle (which won't be built until 1590) look tiny in comparison.
Inuyasha notices movement on the wharf. They have been noticed by a father and son duo who were fishing with poles. The father is a tall, muscular oni-like being with gold eyes, red skin and small horns. His hanyō son looks like he's ten with gold eyes, brown skin, and white hair. Their clothing is a much higher quality than normal peasant clothing.
"Greetings, Welcome to Horai." says the father trying to sound official, "I am Hiroto and this is my boy, Renjiro."
"Hello." says the boy, sounding a little shy.
Kikyō has a pleasant look on her face. Even if she is crying out the little boy is adorable in her mind, she always tries to keep a stoic persona. Inuyasha tries to be pleasant to new people, but he's experienced a lot of prejudice from both humans and yōkai
"This isn't what I expected. This island looks... wealthy." says Inuyasha sounding awkward.
"Inuyasha." says Kikyō, sone embarrassment leaking through her stoicism. Hiroto just laughs.
"Inuyasha!" says the boy suddenly excited, "The second son of the Great Dog General Tōga, the former Beast Lord of the Western Lands. Your mother was a human princess named Izayoi!"
"Huh?" says Inuyasha confused at how the natives know about his history, "Wait! How did you know about me!?"
"We learned about you in history class at school." says the boy proudly.
"School?" says both Inuyasha and Kikyō.
"I'll explain." says Hiroto, "A century ago, the island was invaded by a group of Daiyōkai Shitōshin who tried to exterminate everyone, but we were saved by Lord Nanashi and his Family. Since then, they have lived on the island, improved things, and set up a school to teach people."
"Lord Nanashi?"
"He's amazing!" says the boy Renjiro, "He's so strong even in human form and he once showed us his true form – a black dragon like those from foreign lands in the West!"
Kikyō raises her eyebrow at that. Thanks to Portuguese and other Europeans brought stories from their own lands of Western Dragons, unlike the Ryu of her own land, the dragons of Europe are depicted as greedy, violent, and malevolent. Of course, not all creatures are the same. There are exceptions of course, Hiroto would be considered complete odd ball among traditional Oni.
"Lord Nanashi's family have high educational standards." says Hiroto, interrupting his son's hero worship, "Lord Oda has provided our children with math, science, history, and many other topics. Even the greatest scholars of Heian-kyo, Heijo-kyo, and Naniwa would be beaten by our kids in duels of wit."
A/N: During Japan's Sengoku Jidai, Kyoto was called Heian-kyo, Nara was known as Heijo-kyo, and Osaka was referred to as Naniwa.
"Who is Lord Oda?" Inuyasha asks.
"The smartest man in the world." says both father and son, before Hiroto continues, "He's over two hundred years old, looks like he's twenty and human. He can build anything including these metal puppets and toy bears that act as servants."
"So, what does Lord Nanashi and Lord Oda get for all the help they give." says Inuyasha sounding cynical. Nothing in life is free is a lesson he harshly learned.
"I asked him that!" says Renjiro, surprising his father, "He said that it was a matter of pride. He rules an island of the smartest, healthiest, and happiest people in the world and it's due to his efforts we are like this. He says Horai and its people are his Treasures."
Kikyō thinks about that. Western Dragons and even Eastern Ryu are known for their pride. They are also being of extreme greed who horde vast treasures to themselves to the point they taint the gold. If this island is truly a source of pride and treasure to the Dragon, she can understand Nanashi's actions.
"So, the island is Nanashi's personal garden?" asks Inuyasha. He also understands a rich merchant, nobleman, or powerful yōkai doing eccentric stuff to satisfy their ego. He remembers when he was attacked by another yōkai for having more beautiful hair than him despite being a hanyō.
"That's one way of seeing things." says Irene a she appears on the wharf in her Miko disguise. Inuyasha is alarmed at the sudden appearance of a person with such a powerful aura, but Kikyō doesn't sense any hostile intent,
*Nemo*
Irene took Inuyasha and Kikyō to a large building in the town. As they travelled, they saw many people.
As they travelled, they saw a multitude of humans, yōkai, and their children. Healthy happy people with the exception of one workman who hit his thumb with a hammer when he got distracted by the three. After which his wife berated him for his lack of safety. It's funny watching a seven-foot fierce looking apparition get cowered by a barely five-foot woman.
As the three sit down at a Cafe table for tea, Inuyasha hears something odd from the crowd. He's also surprised at the look of bliss on Kikyō's face.
"Danjuro's tea blend number three." says Irene, also taking a sip, "He's a master whose tea can please even the gods. Unfortunately, he's on another Quest with his wife Minami and our friend Kaina. They are training and hunting culinary delights. Due to a difference in time, it may be centuries before they return to the family."
"Why are they on such a Quest?" asks Inuyasha, suspicious.
"Danjuro is a master of Tea, but he wants to expand his cooking skills. Where he is now, cooking is a literal matter of life and death."
"Cooking?"
"Where he went, Cooking is a Serious Business."
"I have another couple questions." says Inuyasha after getting over his confusion, "Why do the children known about me from school? Also, why did I hear those children talk about the Shikon no Tama (Jewel of Four Souls)?"
"The history of hanyō is an important topic to the children. It was Abe no Seimei, a kitsune hanyō, that led to the creation of this island. Your father also opposed the four war gods and was one of the few daiyōkai to have a hanyō child, the only Beast Lord. You never knew your father before he died, but he deeply loved you and your mother."
"And the Jewel?" asks Kikyō, concerned about people knowing of its existence.
"The Shikon no Tama was a creation of desperation. Numerous yōkai fought against the Heian miko Midoriko and in the end they fused together into a more powerful composite demon that overwhelmed her. In her last moments, she grabbed both of their souls and expelled them as that crystal. She and the demons continue to battle inside the Jewel." says Irene before taking another sip. "Only fools seek it for power as it's a trap."
"A Trap?"
"The Jewel is cursed and selfish wishes will go wrong. Trying to change yourself with the Jewel just allows the Jewel to control you. It's one of the reasons daiyōkai have never wanted the Jewel, it's not like they don't want more power, but relying on such an item is foolish." says Irene, "There is literally only one wish that can be made safely – the destruction of the Jewel. Only by completely rejecting the Jewel's allure can the world be free of it."
Both Kikyō and Inuyasha become lost in their thoughts.
Kikyō wanted Inuyasha to become human, so the Jewel could vanish and they could be together. She wonders now if she was being selfish wanting to be free of her responsibilities and deluded herself into believing the Jewel would vanish.
Inuyasha originally wanted to steal the Jewel to become a full yōkai and after he met Kikyō, he considered becoming fully human to be with her. Finding out the wish-granting Jewel would control him is devastating.
"We have told the children of the Jewel because it's a threat to the people on this island. This is why after you have enjoyed our island and rested this night, you must leave. When that wretched Jewel has vanished from the world, you will be welcomed back to Horai."

Kaede Village.
Musashi Province
Tokyo
1543
I've arrived at the Musashi Province.
The Plot has begun.
50 years ago, Inuyasha and Kikyō were deceived by the composite demon Naraku. Naraku had once been the thief Onigumo who had ended up horribly burnt trying to escape his perusers and ended up under the care of Kikyō. Onigumo ended up desiring both the power of the Shikon no Tama and the beautiful priestess. To obtain both he called to a countless number of lesser yōkai to devour his body, fusing together to form the composite demon Naraku. Naraku injured Kikyō in Inuyasha's form and attacked Inuyasha in Kikyō's form. Inuyasha ended up sealed to the sacred tree for 50 years, while Kikyō died of the injuries she sustained. What Naraku didn't predict is Kikyō had her sister Kaede burnt the Jewel with her.
That wasn't the end, only the beginning. Kikyō's soul was (or will be) reborn in 1981 as Kagome Higurashi. For 15 years she didn't know she was reincarnation of Miko that lived 488 years ago, she was just an ordinary schoolgirl. Then a centipede demon pulled her into the Bone-Eater's Well near her family's shrine. She was transported back in time and the only way to survive the demon attack was too free Inuyasha from the seal.
They are currently travelling together after one of Kagome's sacred arrows shattered the Jewel into numerous dangerous fragments during a fight with a bird demon. Overtime the group has gathered a group of companions.
Shippo is a young fox demon an illusionist whose father was murdered by the Thunder Brothers. He wanted to be stronger and sought the jewel, but Inuyasha and Kagome helped him avenge his father and have become almost surrogate parents to him.
Sango is a sixteen-year-old demon slayer (Yōkai Taiji) whose primary weapon of choice is a giant boomerang. Her clan hunted malicious Yōkai with armor and weaponry made from bones and materials of Yōkai and Sango is even accompanied by the former companion of Midoriko the shape-shifting beast Kilala. Her entire clan was wiped out by the insidious Naraku, so she wants revenge and to save her brother Kohaku.
Miroku is an eighteen-year-old lecherous and intelligent Buddhist monk who travels performing exorcisms and exterminations. His grandfather attempted to destroy Naraku, but ended up cursed with a black hole like wind tunnel in his hand. This hole expands over time and eventually consumes the user, and has been passed down to son and grandson.
Naraku is an annoying pain in the ass.

You have obtained a fragment of Shikon no Tama.
Return it to Inuyasha and Kagome in Musashi Province.

"Jewel Shard. Shikon Jewel Shard! Give Us the Jewel!"
I look up see a group of Oni approaching me. They are not impressive. They are two-meter-tall humanoid ogres with oddly colored skin and a various amount of hair on their heads. They each have one or two horns on their heads, sharp claws, tapered ears, and wide mouths of sharp teeth. Most of them are barely dressed in animal skins and carrying either primitive weapons or discarded weapons from blood-soaked battlefields.
There is one attacker that's different from the others. He's tall and more muscular standing two-and-a-half meters with dark red skin, gold eyes with black sclera, and a silky mane of black hair that flows like a cloud. He also has a beard and five curved horns forming a natural crown on his head. He's dressed in black clothing and dark red armor of a monstrous samurai and carrying a Kanabō - a spiked two-handed war club which is basically a straight bat covered in spiked bands of iron. It's obvious he's the leader of the group and the only one not yelling like a barbarian.
This isn't a fight, it's a massacre. They aren't misguided or corrupt humans like the villains in the world of Quirks or demon worshipping murderous fools like in the world of Magic. They are malicious uncivilized monsters that I don't need to hold back against.
My blows are so quick, that the Oni don't realize they are dead before there mutilated bodies hit the ground. While mortal creatures are spirits limited by their physical forms. Yōkai have physical forms determined by their spirits. This means they can survive damage which should instantly kill a normal animal with biological systems. The stronger the Yōkai, the more damage they can survive. A couple of the Oni can survive a few minutes as severed heads on the ground.
The Oni leader lets out a fierce roar flaring an aura of murderous intent. This kind of intimidation attack can leave a group of hardened Samurai paralyzed with fear, but it just annoys my enhanced hearing. He swings his Kanabō which is glowing with an aura of yoki (demonic energy). It's an attack powerful enough to kill a fully armored Samurai in a single blow, but much to the Oni's shock and horror I catch the bat with one hand. The Oni Leader struggles hard but he's can't move the bat an inch let alone get it out of my grip.
The Oni leader jumps back while release a torrent of demonic fire. The hellish flames could destroy the bones of mortal creatures, but I barely consider them warm by dragon standards. It does mess up my clothing a little which is annoying.
The Oni leader raises his hands and begins chanting, creating a sphere of fire. The Oni actually known a bit of advanced Yōjutsu. Yōjutsu are supernatural powers yokai are able to cast with advance users able to cast magic spells using the energy manipulation. The human equivalent would be chi wizards in Jackie Chan Adventures, using one's own life/spiritual energy to cast magic instead of an external source.
I toss his Kanabō back at him, breaking the fireball spell and tearing a massive hole in the Oni Leader's body. The hole is so big that one of the leader's arms falls to the ground as there is no shoulder left for it to be attached to. Purplish blood sprays everywhere and the Oni cries in pain, collapsing to his knees.
"That's the problem with weak trash. They get a little power and goes straight to their head. You're not a major character or a side character, in the story of this world you're barely a Redshirt."
The Oni leader begins to rapidly regenerate his chest and arm, but I thrust my fingers into his chest and leader's eyes are full of panic. He grabs my arm and desperately tries to prevent me from retrieving what I detected. He doesn't succeed as I pull out pull out another Shikon jewel shard from his body. As the jewel fragment leaves his body, the Oni's flesh disintegrates leaving his lifeless bones. With a flick, I scatter the bones and place the jewel shard in the container with the other one.
As Inuyasha's gang arrive, I flick the bottle at Kagome who awkwardly catches it. Inuyasha points his sword – The Tetsusaiga – at me. He's acting more aggressive than usual, must be a bad day.
"Who are you? Why are you here? And why do you have the Jewel Shards? You better answer."
"Sit Boy!"
The beads around Inuyasha's neck glow and he's faceplanted into the ground.
"Sorry about that. He's been in a bad mood recently."
"It's fine, Kagome Higurashi." I say with a smile under my mask, "To answer Inuyasha's Questions. I am Lord Nanashi of Horai. I am here to give the jewel shards to you. I possessed those shards because you broke the jewel with your sacred arrow and one of the shards ended up in a town I was nearby."
"Lord Nanashi of Horai!?" says Inuyasha, getting up, not even looking mad at Kagome for making him eat dirt.
"Horai. As in Mount Penglai, the island of immortals and mystic creatures. I thought the mountain was located somewhere at the eastern end of Bohai Sea." says Miroku.
"That's the original Horai found by Jofuku when he was searching for the elixir of life. Our Horai is mystic island paradise where human, Yōkai, and Hanyō can live in peace and prosperity. It was founded by the followers of Abe no Seimei, but it became my territory 150 years ago when my family saved it from a group of rampaging daiyōkai." I explain to the monk, "It good that you are active again, Inuyasha. Sorry to hear what happened between you and Kikyō."
Kagome gives Inuyasha a confused look.
"Kikyō and I visited Horai Island 50 years ago."
"And I warned you about the Jewel."
