a young adult bulldog critter yawned, stretching as she walked into her kitchen. she was a pale blue with her paws and whole left leg a slightly darker shade of blue. she wore a dark blue nightgown and white socks.
she switched on the coffee maker on the counter with ease, sighed with fatigue.
a knock on the front door caught her attention.
she walked to the door and opened it, shocked at what was on the other side. on the other side was an adult cocker spaniel critter holding a toddler cocker spaniel dog critter and a baby sun bear critter, each no less than a year apart.
the adult cocker spaniel dog critter was a cyanish light blue with the lower half of his face and his paws a different shade of light blue. he had sun yellow stripes on his arms, legs and tail. he wore a white ankle-length robe and a pale yellow off-shoulder cape held on by an 11-spike orange and yellow sun charm.
the toddler cocker spaniel dog critter was a tiger orange with the lower half of his face and his stomach butter yellow and his paws and ears yam orange. he had matching stripes to the adult cocker spaniel dog critter, color and all. he wore an oversized daffodil yellow t-shirt and nothing else.
the baby sun bear critter was a crimson red with her upper lip, paws and stomach pale red. she had garnet red stripes on her arms, legs and back. she wore the same outfit as the toddler, only her t-shirt was a rose red.
"Warmth? what are you doing here? its been years! who are they?" the bulldog critter spoke as she pointed to the two sleeping children in his arms, immediately recognizing the adult cocker spaniel dog critter while confused about the situation.
"there's no time to explain Stratus! I need to hide these kids and your the first one I thought of. please, take care of them. they're important to our whole world. I'm not just saying that because the boys my son" the adult cocker spaniel dog critter, Warmth replied, gently but urgently passing her the sleeping children. she instantly knew he wasn't lying about the last part when she felt the warmth of the toddler. the amount of heat from him would've been worrying to her if he didn't have his fathers stripes.
"but what are their names?" the bulldog critter, Stratus asked.
"thats not important. I just need you to promise me you'll keep them safe. treat them like your own. and please, don't tell them about me, or any of the other gods" Warmth responded, repeatedly looking over his shoulder.
Stratus looked down at the baby bear critter before looking back at Warmth.
"is she, Eros' daughter?" Stratus asked.
Warmth nodded before gently grabbing her shoulders.
"promise me you'll keep them safe" he repeated.
"yes. I promise" Stratus replied before he pulled away.
Warmth waved goodbye as he ran away into the woods.
Stratus looked down at the sleeping children in her arms before sighing.
"what have I gotten myself into?" she thought aloud.
