a young adult butterfly critter grabbed her purse, lightly kicking the counter. she was a soft light yellow butterfly critter with bright orange and black wings. she wore desaturated blue overalls that had the straps overlapping between her wings along with a pale orange sweater with a large hole in the back.
with a flutter of her wings she listened for the toaster finishing the toast inside.
she grabbed the toast and quickly ate it up.
a knock on her door surprised her slightly.
when she opened it, she was shocked to find a stroller with two children in it. the younger child was a baby who couldn't be older than a year and was fast asleep. the eldest child was a toddler no older than two and was clearly confused and distressed.
the baby was a macaroon yellow chicken critter with three tufts of feathers on top of his head. he wore an oversized tangerine orange t-shirt.
the toddler was a rose pink pig critter with her hooves and the inside of her ears taffy pink. she had rubine red stripes on her arms, legs and tail. she wore the same outfit as the baby but her t-shirt was grayish dark pink.
"are you kids okay?" the young adult asked.
"mama said we were going to stay wth her frwend for a whiwe. are you Dawsy?" the toddler nervously asked.
"oh, yes I am. your mama never said anything about this but I'd be happy to take care of you two. I was actually just about to go out to apply for adoption but I would gladly postpone it for you two sweetie pies" the young adult, Daisy replied.
she walked behind the stroller and rolled it inside.
that was when Daisy noticed the top half of a letter was under the stroller.
she went to pick it up, only for the wind to blow it away.
"oh shoot. that was probably information about them" she said to herself.
"what happened?" the toddler asked.
"there was a letter but it blew away" Daisy replied.
"are you hungry?" Daisy asked.
"yeh! mac n cheese pwease!" the toddler responded, clapping her hooves.
Daisy walked over and unbuckled her from the stroller and helped her onto the couch.
tossing her purse onto the kitchen counter, she began getting ready to cook.
