A/N: Hello and good time-zone to you! To start things off, this 'fic' is intended to be a repository for the "Keywords" I have been designing for my Symphogear fanfic, Flower of Damocles. Since the story takes place five years after the end of the fifth season, there will be information aplenty regarding certain characters, factions, and pieces of equipment that will either not be conveyed through the story, or will only be elaborated on briefly. This entry exists to provide additional information for such things, all while showcasing certain art pieces that were either commissioned or provided for Flower of Damocles. Enjoy!

S.O.N.G.

Officially referred to as the 'Squad of Nexus Guardians', S.O.N.G. is a Paranormal Disaster Anti-Riot Taskforce that operates underneath the public supervision of the United Nations. Circumstances related to the Shem-Ha Incident have recently placed them under the purview of a collective of nations who actively funds, supports, and monitors S.O.N.G.'s efforts while their operations continue to expand outwards from Japan. As the organization remains steadfast in their constant vigil against paranormal threats, its Tactical Commander - Kazanari Genjuuro - maintains unending respect from his peers, such as the renowned professor, Elfnein Ficus Dienheim, and his two assistants, Shinji Ogawa and Tsuchiya Kagero.

The Adaptor Corps

Consisting of Candidates who are capable of wielding the specialized "Symphogear" system, the Adaptor Corps is a subdivision of S.O.N.G. that has played a key role in the organization's victories over the preceding years. Ever since the defeat of Shem-Ha Mephorash, the efforts of its Wielders have been redirected towards combating natural disasters and emergency rescue operations. Civilians have little to fear whenever an Adaptor of S.O.N.G. has arrived to assist them. But with the advent of a new world-ending threat in the form of the Distortions, the Adaptor Corps once again arms itself against paranormal natural disasters, all while guiding S.O.N.G.'s latest Wielder into its fold.

Clan Hida

Known by S.O.N.G.'s information network to be the descendants of an ancient ninja clan, Clan Hida operates under the command of Grandmaster Ogawa Souji, who's aligned interests with the paranormal taskforce have led to growing cooperation ever since the clan's attempt to directly assist them during the Shem-Ha Incident. Clan Hida's training process is rigorous and only a select few possess the means to be fully-accepted into its ranks. As a result, those who manage to complete their trials are often noted to be borderline superhuman, with Ogawa Shinji being one notable example among S.O.N.G.'s own ranks. Overall, Clan Hida is meant to resolve situations which S.O.N.G. normally cannot, leading to tasks such as protecting heretical technology from the hands of those who seek to use them for their own nefarious means.

The World Council

Few are aware of their existence. But any organization who operates under the U.N. still answers to them in one manner or another. Comprised of select representatives from countries across the globe, the World Council actively funds and supports all form of Anti-Disaster operations and relief efforts. Having been officially created as a result of the Shem-Ha Incident, the World Council's main purpose is to oversee all defenses against the paranormal, and enact strict measures to stymy any dangers towards Mankind as a whole. Communication with the council is conducted purely through the illusive Spokesperson, an individual who's identity is kept entirely classified to everyone except the World Council itself.

The Kazanari Household

Debates aplenty were held to determine the future head of Clan Kazanari after its previous leader was forever locked away. Whispers spoke of estranged sons returning from the horizon, and long-abandoned daughters who had been hiding in secret till the sentencing of Kazanari Fudou. When the dust settled, it was Kazanari Tsubasa who grasped the reigns of her family clan, causing cohesion within its walls to grow stronger under the leadership of an individual who had saved the world with her singing on numerous occasions. In contrast to her predecessor - who held a reputation for being a political 'monster' even before his crimes came into the spotlight - Kazanari Tsubasa has forged a distinction for cooperation, cordiality, and honour in her ongoing 4-year run as its chairwoman.

The Illuminati Remnants

The half-decade following the defeat of Adam Weishaupt and his triumvirate of Maestros has led to the evident decay of what used to be feared as the "Bavarian Illuminati." Every passing year means the continued erasure of its remaining cells. Some even predict their complete defeat to be within another half-decade or so. Nevertheless, the Illuminati Remnants' remaining assets has allowed its cells to brew anarchy wherever they still lurk. Continents once affected by their occult efforts look forward to an era devoid of the Bavarian Illuminati's sway. But anyone within S.O.N.G. knows full-well that such a time will not come so easily - nor so soon - without significant measures.

Cassandra Jiang Lanfen (Part 1)

Born on the 1st of April, 2027, to a Filipino father and Chinese mother, Lanfen spent most of her teenage years attending Lydian Private Music Academy, all while enduring what little bullying she faced as a transgender schoolgirl. The ensuing loss of her parents led to Lanfen being left with the responsibility of raising her little sister, as well as an immediate ostracization from their remaining relatives. Even so, Lanfen faced her challenges head-on, and eventually claimed a life where both siblings can live without worry for their circumstances. Throughout the half-decade, Lanfen has primarily relied on entitled financial-aid from the Japanese government in order to get by. She is not aware of what their parents' duties entailed for this support to be so readily-available. But such matters mean little to Lanfen in the face of securing Kai-Ming's future by any means.

Cynthia Jiang Kai-Ming

Born on the 11th of December, 2032, Kai-Ming is a girl who has maintained a burning love for Tokusatsu ever since her exposure to the medium in her youth. She is a second-year student of Yaman Private Music Academy, an aspiring musician, and is a fan of live-action superhero shows such as Zesshou Sentai Valkyranger. Intent on emulating the fictional heroines she admires, Kai-Ming holds onto the determined belief that everything will be alright as long as she has an reliable older sister standing right by her side. Although five years younger than Lanfen, Kai-Ming harbours unspoken (but significant) concern for her sibling, believing that her sister sacrifices too much for Kai-Ming's own sake.

Kagero Tsuchiya

Born on the 19th of January, 2021, Kagero is a transgender man who was handed the familial duties of serving Clan Hida upon reaching the age of eighteen. After proving himself to be one of its most promising students, Kagero excelled to the point of becoming the right-hand man (and eventual paramour) of the clan's leader, Ogawa Souji. His duties would change in the aftermath of the Shem-Ha Incident, leading Kagero to officially transfer over to S.O.N.G. to act as a second aide to its Tactical Commander. Such a heavy duty was taken up without hesitation. But Kagero still has much to learn under the personal tutelage of his secret lover's youngest brother, Ogawa Shinji.

The Spokesperson

Every sliver of information related to their identity is obscured to all except the upper echelons of the World Council. Known first and foremost to be the representative of the council when dealing with organizations such as S.O.N.G., the Spokesperson is an individual with a cold, immovable desire to defend Mankind. Every transmission conducted with them utilizes a voice modulator to hide their identity, and only a few truly know where they operate from. In the end, the Spokesperson holds considerable sway over all Anti-Disaster efforts, and is solely responsible for conveying every direct request from S.O.N.G.'s overseeing forces.

SG-r04 Sword of Damocles (Part 1)

Created from a relic fragment that was officially awarded to S.O.N.G. for their success in the Shem-Ha Incident, the SG-r04's primary purpose is to exist as a countermeasure against rogue Symphogears within and without the organization. In order to access the resources that could assist in repairing six destroyed Symphogear pendants, Professor Elfnein struck a bargain with the United Nations exactly four months after battle against Shem-Ha Mephorash, thereby officiating the Sword of Damocles' lengthy development cycle. Expectations surrounding its possible success varied among those who were aware of its existence. But the stated purpose behind the SG-r04's creation had been solidified nonetheless: The Sword of Damocles was to showcase the first utilization of the Sakurai Theory through the United Nations' gathered think-tanks.

Unfortunately, the SG-r04's relic pendant would end up being completed without any explanation behind the clearance of the prototype Symphogear's persistent defects. All anticipation surrounding its development would also be overshadowed when a new paranormal threat loomed over the horizon. In spite of its successful deployments against Distortion forces thus far, the Sword of Damocles now hangs over the heads of those who desired its protection, all to ensure that situations such as the Frontier Incident can never again be repeated.

Distortions (Part 1)

Officially designated by the public as a new form of natural disaster, the Distortions are speculated by S.O.N.G. to be beings from another dimension akin to the Noise which lingered within the Treasury of Babylon. All Distortions appear to be suits of animated armour, and their arrival is carried out by opening one-way rifts in the skies over seemingly any location on the planet. These battle automata can also be classified into multiple 'Types' to determine their purpose on the battlefield, and 'Categories' which estimate their ability to influence a combat situation. When slain, a Distortion's hollow body will break down into fine, colourful particles of silicon dioxide. Arguments aplenty have risen worldwide surrounding the actual origins behind the Distortions. Merely four days after the global attack had ended, rumours began to circulate, claiming that the Distortions are machines of human design despite the global declaration that had been transmitted on the time of their advent.

Category-1 Distortions

Category-1 Distortions are considered to the basic rank-and-file of any incursion. Though individually weak in the face modern military, their considerable numbers and physical prowess makes their presence a threat nonetheless, especially when combined with the Distortions apparent capabilities to generate their rifts wherever they desire. Due to the Distortions rifts' ability to shut down any incoming aircraft within the radius of several kilometers, Humanity's lack of air superiority grants these simplistic battle automata far more sway in a battlefield comprised of aircraft, tanks, and firearms, leading to numerous discussions surrounding the measures which must now be taken to effectively deal with the Distortion menace.

Zesshou Sentai Valkyranger

Produced by Toy-A Company, Zesshou Sentai Valkyranger is a 50-episode television series that had been funded in order to raise the spirits of young children across Japan. It primarily centers around a cast of six young women who have been bestowed great powers by the Valkyrie Queen, granting them the abilities they need to fight back against ancient evils and monsters of modern science alike. Despite turning out to be a pop culture phenomenon across the globe, efforts by Toy-A Company to extend its reach into international markets through subtitled releases and toy exports have been far and few in-between, causing the franchise to be primarily known within Japan through continued collaborations with IPs such as The Amazing Singing Hood and Cloaked Calvary.
