This might feel like the 1996 movie Matilda with Mara Wilson and Danny DeVito. If it does I'm turn the fic around and make it into the TV series.

Leaving his therapist always left him in a bad mood. Leaving the city limits, Bucky drove his motorcycle down the familiar driveway to the house outside the city. At the house, Bucky instantly felt a presence. Kicking the kickstand and turning off the engine, he dismounted his bike and carefully walked up the sidewalk towards the house.

Spotting the flowers, potted plants and bags of soil. Bucky looked around. "Sam?" He call. Somehow he didn't believe Sam was a gardner, he was too busy. Bucky moved to the house carefully. "Whoever's trespassing, come out right now!" He orders.

From the open front door, a young woman with shoulder length blonde hair slowly walked into view with her hands held up to her chest, palms outward.

Bucky's surprised. "You're definitely not Sam. And definitely wrong gender."

"I'm sorry." She apologizes. "I, I didn't know."

Bucky quickly took note of the nasty bruise on the woman's right cheek. "You ok?" He asked. "You get that bruise from here?"

The blonde woman slowly lifted her hand to her bruised cheek. "Um, n, no." She kept her hands raised, scared.

Bucky slowly moved to the porch. "You can relax, I promise I'm not gonna hurt you."

The woman lowered her hands.

"Who are you?" Bucky asked, trying to keep the suspicion out of his voice.

"Jennifer." She answered as Bucky eyed the nasty bruise.

"Come into the kitchen." Bucky offers as he side steps, Jennifer bites her lower lip and slowly moves to the walk into the house, passing the man. Once inside, Bucky closes the door behind them before he leads her to the kitchen.

Bucky then lowers Jennifer down at the table. "Who did that to you?" He questions as he moves to the fridge and opened the freezer.

Jennifer watched as he pulled out an ice pack. "Does it matter?" She asks.

Bucky shrugs. "Probably not." He turns back to face her. "You got that somehow, and if someone did it, then it is my problem cause it'll be domestic abuse." He turns to grab some paper towels, setting the pack down on the towels he rolled the ice pack up. Then moved to Jennifer. "Here." He held out the pack for her.

She eyes the pack curiously but takes it gently. "Thank you. Why the paper towels?" She asks gently as she gingerly placed the pack on her cheek.

"To cushion the ice." Bucky answered. "I'm James." As he moved his dog tags moved under his shirt.

"My aunt did this." Jennifer told him, making his raise his eyebrows.

"Your aunt?"

"She's a mean and cruel woman." She explained as she gingerly kept her ice pack in place. "She's raised me since I was 5." She didn't mean add that part, but she did. She looked down. "I still live with her." She hesitantly added.

Bucky felt his eyebrows raising up higher. "I'm not going to pray." He looks around the kitchen. "You should put charges on her." He moves to the counter and leans his back on it, folding his arms.

"I can't. Too scared to. I'd loose the house, my father's house."

Bucky turns a little, he picks up a pen from the counter and writes down an address and two numbers. "Here." He turns back around as he comes up to her and gives her the paper. "This has my address, my number and my friend Sam's number."

She gently took the paper, and looks at it, studying the address and numbers. She looks up at him. "Thank you."

An hour later, Bucky pulled his motorcycle into the circle drive in front of the big house. "Wow." He looked up at it. "Pretty big."

Jennifer climbed off the big behind him. "My dad's house. After he died, the house and lawn looks like this."

Bucky nods as he straightens up on his bike. "You have my number now. If you ever need me. Day or night, and I don't care what time it is. You call me. The same goes for Sam."

She turns to him. "I don't think your friend would." She trails off, then studies him. "Thank you."

He nods with a slight smile. "You're welcome."

Jennifer moves to the front porch and approaches the front door, opening it, she watches as Bucky leaves drives down the driveway.
