Spider-Man: A Dark Plot
First chapter of a Spider-Man story I'm planning to try, going to be the first of a trilogy, anyway, I hope you enjoy it, as a side note, Spider-Man, Black Cat and two other characters will be OCs, along with their respective families, however most everyone else, especially villains, will be Spider-Man characters ;)
Disclaimer: I don't own Spider-Man or its characters.
Chapter 1
Night had fallen over New York City, but as usual the famous city that never sleeps was still going through the usual hustle and bustle. Yet in one building, the lights were off and it was indeed locked up for the night. That being the Mayor's office, where the current incumbent had held their position with pride, but also, many thought, with great secrecy in their true dealings. But the whispers of corruption were, at the time, just that, for without evidence there could be no proof. That was what one group of mercenaries had been hired to find out as they managed to open the doors to the outer office and, weapons at the ready, advanced in, not taking any chances.
"Go, get the door." The leader said.
One of his men hurried forwards and began working on getting through the secure lock on the door to the personal office of the Mayor, where he kept his safe, their target. The others fanned out around the room and kept watch.
Keeping his weapon ready the one stationed by the leader turned to him.
"Aren't we being a little overly cautious boss? The police won't get here in time and any security has already been dealt with." He queried.
The leader shook his head. "I think you're forgetting one important thing, Spider-Man."
The other swallowed nervously, realising now what the boss meant. When he hired them their benefactor, the one they were doing this for, had warned them of the possibility of the young albeit talented super-hero making an appearance, if he did, it would not be easy for them, that was for sure. What they didn't know was it was already too late, Spider-Man was already present, hanging upside down from a web-line from the ceiling, observing them. A fit well built young man, his actual appearance was hiding behind his trademark black and red Spider-Man costume, complete with mask.
'Well what have we here?' He mused. 'Eight goons...eight very well armed goons, with seven of them posing an immediate threat...let's try and thin their numbers before a fight starts.'
With that he carefully dropped onto the metal rail that was used to suspend the lights and crept along it, waiting for a chance.
He soon took it and quietly webbed one merc up and had him cocooned in web, suspended from the rafter. He took out two more without trouble in the same manner. Then thing got interesting, as the disappearance of the three men was noticed.
"We've got trouble, find them." The leader demanded, before growling to himself. "It's gotta be the Spider, dammit, how'd he even get in."
Immediately the other four on guard duty began to search the room, guns raised. This time it was harder but Spider-Man, having dropped from the rafters into the shadows of the room, came up behind one and tripped him then webbed him to the floor.
"He's here, form up!" One shouted.
The three quickly did so, standing back to back in a triangle formation. This prompted Spider-Man to get back up to the rafters and move above them.
'They always look so peaceful wrapped up like that...let's get you to join them.' He thought with a smirk.
He then sent out a trip-wire web before using a web-line to pull one of the men away and up into the rafters to join the first three.
"Hey!" One of the remaining two shouted. "I got him boss."
He then rushed forwards only to get caught by the trip wire and webbed to a nearby wall. The leader panicked and rushed to directly cover the guy working on the door, who was getting more frantic by the minute.
That was when Spider-Man finally dropped in.
"Hey thanks for opening the door guys, I forgot my keys." He quipped.
The leader immediately opened fire on him but missed as Spider-Man dodged easily, forewarned by his Spider-Sense. Growling the leader tried to attack again, only to find his gun covered in webbing, at which point Spider-Man fired a web-line onto him and use it to pull himself straight at the man and deliver a punch that sent the man flying into the lock-breaker, ironically right as he succeeded in his task, sending both of them through the door into a sprawled heap on the floor. Wasting no time Spider-Man swung across the room and through the door, he confirmed the leader was knocked out but before he could check the lock-breaker, the sound of the Mayor's safe opening drew his attention, he looked up and froze when he saw the fair skinned young woman standing there, a young woman his age who he knew all too well. She looked over her shoulder and smirked at him, brown eyes dancing with teasing glee at the sight of him.
The first thing anyone seeing her from behind would notice was, thanks to her incredible curvy build, her rather round firm butt and curvy hips, given a very good emphasis by her skin-tight black leather catsuit which, despite her back being to him, he knew was unzipped enough at the front to show a rather generous amount of cleavage from her rather notable bust. Her hair was medium long, loose and silver in colour but he knew that wasn't her natural colour. She also wore white clawed gloves and white boots, both topped by white fur which also lined the collar of her catsuit. It was Black Cat, although she and Spider-Man both knew each other's civilian identities too, going to the same school. Quirking an amused eyebrow at him, Black Cat couldn't help herself.
"What's this, you chasing me around Spider?" She quipped teasingly.
Spider-Man narrowed his eyes. "You've gotta be kidding me, why Black Cat, you promised you'd stop all this."
"Funny, I don't remember making any such promise." She remarked before adding. "Behind you big boy."
But the warning wasn't needed. Alerted by his Spider-Sense, Spidey dodged the attempted knife attack from the now awake lock-breaker and swiftly knocked him out cold with a single punch.
"Now that's just rude. I'm having a conversation here." Spidey joked before looking up and sighing. "Or I was."
For Black Cat had escaped and was now using her tools to escape up the elevator shaft and soon reached the roof. Once there she smiled and reached into her cleavage before pulling out a hard drive, the object both she and the mercenaries were after.
She fixed it to a pouch on her hip now and sighed at the voice from her right.
"Is that drive really worth all this, Cat?"
She turned to Spider-Man perched on the roof, before he flipped down to stand at her level.
"You're still persistent I see. But really, back off. This is just a job and you just gotta let me do it." She said.
Spider-Man shook his head. "You know that isn't an option."
She sighed. "Look I'm getting paid a huge amount for this and you're interference will get me killed."
"I know only one person who talks like that." Spider-Man shot back. "Why does Willy want you to get this for him?"
"You're still so flippant about him even after he nearly killed you the last time you fought him?" Black Cat replied incredulously. "Look, if you know he's involved you know the risks, now get out of my way.
"You know that isn't an option. Hand it over or else-" Spidey warned.
"Or else what, we gonna get rough?" Black Cat retorted as she flexed her clawed gloves. "I love getting rough."
With that she lunged towards him. He dodged both swipes of her claws and blocked her kick before countering with a few punches and a kick of his own which she easily blocked or dodged herself. When she tried again she used his block of her kick to this time launch herself back out of his reach, twisting in mid-air to avoid the two impact webs he sent her way.
"Too slow, Spider." She joked as she landed.
However he had already closed the gap and she grunted at the sharp blow to her left side, right against her ribs, but she quickly lashed out with a kick, knocking him back. As she recovered she saw him rubbing his side too and grinned.
"Guess we're even now. Thanks for the workout." She teased. "See you at school tomorrow."
With that she ran to the rooftop's edge, cast out her cable and began to swing away. Spidey went after her only to be knocked down when his web-line was cut. He quickly flipped upright onto a tightrope web he set up between the two buildings and watch Black Cat swing away.
He shook his head, disgruntled.
'Yeah, I'll see you at school tomorrow...where I'll expect answers.' He thought as he reached into his costume and pulled out the drive he had swiped from her during their tussle. 'Like why this drive is so important that you and a squad of mercenaries were after it...'
Right now however, with the police already picking up the mercenaries, he had only one thing in mind and swung off to do just that. He was going to go home and sleep and seek out the answers he needed tomorrow.
End of chapter, hope you enjoyed it, read and review please.
