This is the sequel to "Invasion U.S.A" and basically picks up where that one left off. It will cover the summer and season 3 of BTVS. Although it begins in Hogwarts, it will mostly be in the BTVS world. If you have not read "Magical Connections" or "Invasion U.S.A.", you should not read this.

I could not find much information about magical weddings, so I didn't spend too much time trying to detail it.

Disclaimer: I have not created the world or characters in the Harry Potters as they were created by J.K. Rowlings. Joss Whedon created all the characters in Buffy's universe.

Chapter 1: The Parents' Wedding

******August******

Buffy was a taskmaster as she worked to get all the details ready for her parents upcoming nuptials. It had to be perfect. There had been so many bad things to happen since she had met her father, but this was something she could handle. The wedding was going to take place by the water at Hogwarts. Joyce was going to have a reception back in Sunnydale for her American friends at their house when they returned from their honeymoon. Severus would meet all her friends and American family there.

Buffy and Cordelia had spent their summer cramming as many magical lessons as they could. They took OWLS in several subjects. Naturally, DADA was advanced for both of them as was Transfiguration and Charmed. Buffy earned an outstanding in Herbology while Cordelia got one in Runes, which Buffy didn't test in. She didn't have the desire to. Severus was disappointed when she only earned an Acceptable in potions, but Cordelia received an Advanced in it, which she gloated about.

"Sorry, Father," Buffy said.

"I insist that you take high school chemistry and redo your potions test next spring," Severus said.

"I suppose," Buffy said in resignation.

Ironically, Willow had used her computer know how to produce Severus some credentials to take Giles' place as the school librarian. She was going to get him credentials as a chemistry teacher, but he did not think he could handle dealing with American teenagers in the classroom. From Rupert's comments, he gathered they rarely even entered the library. It would allow him to tutor Draco as his apprentice without much interference as his mother had agreed to allow him to go to America with them. That meant Draco could attend school there also. Plus, Severus would be able to support his new wife and daughter. Living in Hogwarts all these years, he never had to pay for room or board, so he did have quite a savings. However, he knew California was much more expensive even though Buffy Anne told him Sunnydale was much cheaper than Los Angeles, the city she was raised in.

Eventualky, however, Severus and Cordelia convinced Narcissa to spend a year abroad in America, not just Draco. Narcissa did agree that there was so much ugliness surrounding her and her husband's involvement in the Death Eaters. She had barely escaped Azkaban herself. The Malfoys had to pay a lot of restitution, but she did have her own fortune that could not be touched as Bellatrix's only heir as well as what she had inherited when she had married Lucius.

The twins had been serious about their desire to move to the hellmouth and become vampire hunters. Nothing their mother said would dissuade them. Willow had put up their website for online orders. She and Xander helped modify many of their designs for the muggle market since their plans had changed. Instead of opening a shop in the Wizarding World, they were saving their funds to open up one on the hellmouth. Their online orders over the summer were basically test runs for what they would do for their new business in Sunnydale. Xander and Lee would sell to the students during the school year the designs they would make for the magical community. Since Buffy and Cordelia would frequently return to Hogwarts on weekends to take tests as they would be keeping up with their magical studies, they would be able to smuggle in the twins' contraband.

"You look beautiful, Mom," Buffy said, smiling at her mother. Joyce tried to say she was too old to wear white for her wedding since it was a second marriage. However, Buffy pointed out that it was her dad's first marriage, and he deserved a bride wearing white. Therefore, Joyce found a white dress with simple lines made with mostly silk with lace trimmings. It was elegant just like her mother. She wore a pearl necklace that belonged to Severus' mother as her something old. Minerva let her borrow a blue garter, so she covered all the muggle bases.

Albus was performing the ceremony, and Buffy and Cordelia were her bridesmaids. Severus had no close male friends but Albus. However, he did allow Draco and Xander to be groomsmen. Narcissa and Joyce actually became very good friends over the summer, and she helped plan the wedding. Joyce was trying to convince her to move to Sunnydale instead of Salem where most witches lived.

The wedding ceremony didn't have a lot of guests as Severus had no family to speak of. The Order members came and the professors at the school. Buffy's friends, of course, were there. Cordelia did decide to invite her parents to Hogwarts, sharing with them her magical heritage and introducing them to Severus and Buffy. They were a bit shocked but also thrilled to discover how special their adopted daughter was.

"I knew you were amazing, my beautiful princess!" her father said, hugging her.

"Oh, it's so insane but wonderful. Magic is real, and you will never need a man to rescue you. I love it!" her mother said, surprising Cordelia.

Cordelia was just relieved that her parents knew the truth, and she didn't have to lie to them.

Joyce walked herself down the aisle, moving toward the man she loved, unable to believe this was her life.

Severus kept his eyes on the woman he loved, promising to love her always, feeling his house magics binding them together.

Albus did the ceremony, and Joyce was delighted as an array of magical fireworks appeared in the sky above them when he pronounced them husband and wife.

The audience cheered as the newly married couple held hands and walked down the aisle, accepting the hugs and best wishes.

Buffy was glad that something finally went right in her world. Her parents were going to honeymoon in Italy while she spent the final week at Hogwarts without studying. She was going to hang out with her friends.

Faith and her watcher knew she was moving back, so they had already procured an apartment near the high school.

*****September******

Cordelia convinced her Aunt Narcissa to move into her family's home since they had so much room. Once her parents knew about her magical inheritance, they confessed about their problems with the IRS. She was irate and had her aunt hire an accountant to transfer some funds from the Black family vault. Since the Malfoys' assets were so diverse, they actually had an accountant that was well-versed in dealing with muggle money. It didn't take them long to untangle the Chase finances, and her parents worked out a deal with the IRS. They paid what was owed, so they didn't have to go to jail. Wisely, her father did not share his growing plans to flee the country rather than be jailed.

"I cannot believe how far my parents let things go," Cordelia told Buffy and Draco. "They were one step from actual prison!" They were spending Labor Day afternoon hanging out at her pool. Draco had finally gotten used to ignoring how little his cousin wore while swimming. He was grateful that Buffy at least wore a one piece. It was difficult for him to be half-naked in front of both the girls, but Cordelia was relentless in the teasing. She was a Slytherin, after all.

"It's a good thing you were able to save the day," Buffy said.

"Your parents have taken the truth of your magical inheritance quite well," Draco said.

"Well, they were born in Sunnydale, so it's not like they haven't seen weird things their entire lives," Cordelia pointed out. "Mom actually said it relieved her mind to know she wasn't crazy."

"She has been very welcoming to Mother," Draco said. "Mother never realized muggles could be so open and gracious. She even allowed our house elves to come."

Cordelia laughed. "That's because Mom can't keep a good housekeeper," Cordelia shared. "She can't remember to pay them or keep track of their days off. I tried to get her to let me take over that kind of thing, but she said it was her job, not mine. Now, though, we just put Aunt Narcissa's finance guy in charge of everything."

"House elves do make things easier," Draco said.

"I would think they wouldn't like being on the hellmouth," Buffy said.

"Pinky said there were many dark creatures in the town, and she worried for our safety," Draco shared.

"Actually, she cried and begged us to move back home before we were consumed by the evil in the town," Cordelia said with a snort.

"I had to promise her to be very careful and to call her if I was in danger," Draco admitted.

"Aw, that's sweet," Buffy said.

"So are you ready to go to an American school?" Cordelia asked her cousin. He and his mother had just moved in that weekend. School started the next day.

"Yes," Draco said.

"You won't be the only new student," Buffy said. "I convinced Faith to join me since the hellmouth is actually under the library."

"That is still bonkers," Draco said, shaking his head.

"Welcome to the Sunnydale," Cordelia said with a grin. "Don't worry, little cuz. We'll protect you."

"You'll be going to school with two slayers, so you will be perfectly safe," Buffy said.

"Well, as safe as anyone can be at that school," Cordelia told him.

"I will finally get to meet this slayer?" Draco asked.

"We should go to the Bronze tonight and introduce you since classes start tomorrow," Cordelia suggested.

"Sounds good," Buffy said.

"When are the Weasleys getting here?" Draco asked.

"They are already here," Cordelia said. "They got here a few days ago."

"It took them a while to convince Mrs. Weasley. Father had to promise to watch out for them. The fact that I'm a slayer and more than capable doesn't reassure them. They need an adult wizard on standby," she shared, rolling her eyes.

"That is typical of most magical parents," Draco said.

Buffy shrugged. "Well, the Magic Box owner was murdered for a second time, so it's for sale again," Buffy shared. "I think they're going to buy it and call it Weasleys Magical Wonders. They'll sell magic items along with their joke stuff. Those that believe in magic will already be open to it. Father will make some potions, too, that they'll probably sell."

"I told him that I can get the kids at school to check it out," Cordelia said.

"I'm sure you can," Buffy replied, grinning. "They'll follow the Queen B even if she's been gone a year."

"Oh, I'll be even more popular now," Cordelia boasted with a smug smile. "A year a broad and coming back with a hot British cousin will make up for being related to you."

"Gee, thanks," Buffy replied.

"You are not popular at your muggle school?" Draco asked, surprised.

"I was before I moved to Sunnydale," Buffy said. "But I didn't want to be Cordelia, so I sought out friends like Willow, who was smart and someone like Xander, who was loyal and brave."

"Killed her street cred," Cordelia said, snickering.

"Okay, that's enough gossiping. I'll see you two at the Bronze at eight. I'll bring Faith," Buffy said, getting up from the lounge chair she'd be laying in. "Don't lay out too long, Draco. You don't want to burn again."

"Oh, no worries about that," Cordelia said, laughing. "He turned red as a tomato last week, so we had to ask his mum for a sun tanning spell."

"How the bloody hell was I supposed to know I needed to know such a thing?" Draco complained.

Buffy laughed. "California is all about the sunshine, the very opposite of the weather in Scotland," she warned over her shoulder.

"Tell me about the Bronze," Draco told his cousin. He had been relieved to not have to return to Hogwarts. His house never got over his father turning on Voldemort even though his mother had been kidnapped and tortured. Draco hated them all for their betrayal of him. He didn't miss any of them really much at all. Of course, it was strange getting used to being completely in a muggle world. Although he had his house elf, he was in a muggle household. Cars were both strange and exciting, however. He had been thrilled to convince his mother that he had to have his own before starting school, so he would fit in with the American teens. Of course, he could not yet drive. However, he would before the semester was out with his cousin teaching him.

Cordelia gave him an enthusiastic overview of the town's dance club while he considered how strange it would be going to an American muggle school. Sure, he would have Buffy and Cordelia there. However, it would require him to learn things he had previously believed were beneath him and be taught by people he had always felt were inferior to him.

He interrupted his cousin's monologue. "Do you think I can do this?" he asked her.

Cordelia gave him a bright smile. "I know you can, and I will make sure you navigate every step without problems," she assured him. "Don't worry."

"Thanks," he said, reaching out and touching her hand. "You know, I always wanted a sister."

"Me, too," Cordelia said, winking at him.

Draco laughed.

*****The Bronze*****

Faith was excited that Buffy had been so cool toward her since she'd moved back. She wasn't sure what to expect. The girl had a shit hand dealt her, but still she had risen to the occasion and beat back the evil wizard. Luna had sent Faith a copy of her dad's paper that had the story of all the crazy shit that had went down when they had to rescue Buffy's cousin's aunt, who the evil wizard had kidnapped and tortured. Her cousin's cousin's dad, though, died trying to save the mom. The twin's dad, who Spike had killed the brother of, ended up being the one to take the evil wizard's head. It was a crazy story. Willow had worked some major mojo, making sure the guy was weakened, so they could take him out. Faith totally wished that she could've been there.

"Where are you off to?" her watcher Diana asked.

"Buffy asked me to go out with her to the Bronze. We'll patrol after," Faith said. "I think they want me to meet Draco, Cordelia's British wizard cousin, who's living with her now."

"Oh, yes, that will be a very good asset to have in the field with you as Buffy's first instinct is to fight with her hands like you do from what Rupert reports," Diana said. "It's a school night, however. You cannot stay out as late as you used to now that you are going to school."

"That's true," Faith said. "It'll take some getting used to."

She said goodbye and headed to the club.

Buffy was trying to get used to being on the hellmouth and having her parents married, but it was still strange. Of course, Hogwarts had been the strangest.

"Where are you going?" Severus asked.

"Bronze and then patrolling with Faith and Draco," she said.

"Remember, school starts tomorrow," Severus told her.

"Can't forget that," Buffy said. "Don't worry."

"I worry. Be careful," her mother added.

"Always," she assured her.

The walk to the Bronze brought back so many memories, and she passed Xander's house. It made her miss both her best friends. She was glad they had each other, and she knew that she would be seeing them. However, it was hard to be in Sunnydale without them.

Faith was approaching the Bronze at the same time she was.

"Perfect timing," Buffy said, waving at her sister slayer. They had patrolled together nearly every night that she'd been in town together as both knew she would not be able to as much once classes resumed. Between her Hogwarts' study and regular school, Buffy would be one busy little bee. Her parents pretty much relocated within a few days after their return from their honeymoon. They'd been back about ten days.

"Check out that sweet Ferrari," Faith exclaimed as they approached the front entrance.

Buffy barely glanced at it. "Oh, yeah, that's Draco's," she said. "He got his mother to lease it. He still hasn't passed the driving test, so Cordelia is the one actually driving it. She told him it was like driving a giant penis, but once he saw it, he had to have it."

"Damn, it must be nice," Faith said with a snort.

"He's a bit on the spoiled side, but he's a real sweetheart once you get to know him," Buffy said. "He can be a bit of an ass sometimes, though."

"Well, I can be a bitch, so I'm sure we'll get along like cats and dogs," Faith said with a grin.

"You're hot, and he's a horny teenage boy," Buffy said with a knowing smirk. "You'll get along fine. Don't screw with him, though. Or I'll have to hurt you. His dad was murdered, and he was pretty much tortured by our house back at Hogwarts."

"What do you mean?" Faith said as they walked inside. The music was loud, so it was a bit hard to hear.

"It got really bad," Buffy said. "Hexes that made him constantly vomit. Pushed downstairs so he literally broke bones."

"Damn! And I thought school in Boston was rough," Faith said. "They did all that right after his dad died?"

"They considered him a blood traitor," Buffy said. "So don't go seducing him and breaking his heart."

Faith nodded. "I get it," she said. "Hands off."

"I didn't say that," Buffy said. "Just don't toy with him. He's more fragile than he looks."

"There you guys are," Cordelia said. "You gotta come rescue Draco. The bitches in heat won't leave him alone!"

Buffy looked and saw Draco surrounded by a dozen girls.

"Wow," Buffy commented. "I knew he'd be popular, but that's a lot."

"Once they heard the accent, and he smiled, it was like a love spell or something," she said. "I'm about to take out my wand!"

"Don't worry. We'll get them to leave," Buffy said, grabbing Faith's hand and leading her to Draco.

"What's the plan?" Faith said.

"Most of them are already afraid of me on some level even though I was only at the school a year," Buffy said. "It won't be hard."

She approached the table. "Hey, Harmony," she said with a bright smile.

"Buffy!" Harmony exclaimed. "We were just telling Cordy's cousin all about America and our school."

"Did you know Faith has decided to attend? Have you met her?" Buffy asked.

"Oh, yes, I did," Harmony said, smiling. "That's great! I hope you try out for the cheerleading team. We'll have lots of fun."

"Draco is my date for the evening, so I'd appreciate it if you and all your friends would give us some space. He'll see you in class tomorrow," Buffy said, giving all the girls a pointed stare.

None of the girls could hold her stare, and they quickly left.

"See you, Draco," Harmony said, giving him a cheerful wave.

"Yes, thanks," he said.

"There. You are free," Buffy told him.

"Thank God!" Cordelia exclaimed.

"That was brilliant!" Draco told her. "Thank you! I thought it was nice at first, but then more girls kept showing up. It was a bit much."

"Those hussies!" Cordelia stated.

"Rich and British. Can't say you're that surprised," Faith said with a shrug.

Draco finally looked at the new arrival and felt his heart come to a standstill. Although he had just met a dozen attractive teenagers, including Harmony, and he spent hours with his very beautiful cousin and Buffy, this girl was different.

"Draco, meet Faith Lehane, the current slayer in charge of the hellmouth," Buffy introduced. "Faith, this is Draco Malfoy, Cordelia's cousin, and my dad's godson. He'll be a junior, so you'll probably have him in classes."

"Cool," Faith said.

Draco held out his hand as he was raised to do, which Faith was not used to. "Hello, it is very nice to meet you," he said.

"You, too," she replied, taken off guard by the display of manners. However, she did smile, flashing her dimple.

Draco saw the dimple and knew that he would love her the rest of his days.

"Let's dance," Buffy said, pulling him away from the dark headed slayer.

He gave her own last look and shook his head—he was being fanciful. She was just another beautiful girl.

The four of them headed to the dance floor as the fast music didn't really call for coupling.

Draco founded the dance club exhilarating and freeing. He allowed himself to get lost in the music and forget everything in his life but the music as he watched the beautiful bodies around him move. If his eyes strayed to Faith more than the others, well, he was only human.

From the stage, a redheaded guitar player named Daniel Osborne, Oz to his friends, often took a break from the familiar chords to people. He had noticed the group of girls congregating around the newcomer who seemed odd to his werewolf senses.

Then he noticed the two predators walk into the room, and he was captivated. The way they moved as they walked through the bodies around them. The crowd instinctively parted as if they sensed the aura of danger that radiated from them. One was dark haired and the other fair. One smiled and laughed. She danced like one who seemed wild and free. The other seemed filled with a great sorrow.

Were they like him? He sensed that they were predators. Excitement filled him at the thought that he might have some possible packmates his age.

He kept his eyes on the blonde, intrigued. When the band had a break, he noticed that Devon, his band leader, was talking to their friend.

"Oh, ask Oz, he knows," Devon was saying gesturing to him.

"Knows what?" he asked, approaching the table.

"Oz, this is Cordelia Chase. She was away at a boarding school in England last year," he said. "Oz transferred last year, but he somehow flunked senior year even though he has this genius I.Q. He came up with our band name."

"Hi," Cordelia said. "This is Faith. My cousins, Buffy and Draco. Draco just moved here from England."

"Hey," Oz said, nodding at them, but his eyes stayed on Buffy's. They were green and as haunted as he thought. Closer to her and Faith, he could sense their aura of power. What were they?

"I was telling them that you came up with our band name," Devon said. "They wanted to know what a dingo was and why it ate a baby."

"A dingo is an Australian dog, kind of like a coyote," Oz explained. "My uncle told me this story of a lady back in the 80's, who claimed that a dingo ate her baby, and they didn't believe her. She went to prison for four years until eventually the baby's clothes were actually found near a dingo's lair, and her sentence was overturned."

"Damn," Faith remarked.

"I thought it was a cool story, and it seemed like a good name for a band," Devon said.

"That's a true story?" Buffy asked.

"My uncle said it was," Oz said with a shrug. "I have no reason not to believe him."

She smiled. "I like stories that have a happy ending," she said.

"Her baby was eaten by a dog, Buffy," Cordelia pointed out. "It wasn't a happy story."

"She was falsely accused of murder and set free," Buffy said. "Sometimes, you have to focus on the positive or drown in the darkness of despair."

"And on that note, Devon, do you want to dance?" Cordelia asked the cute singer.

"Of course," he said, smiling at her.

"Would you like to dance?" Oz asked Buffy.

Buffy seemed surprised and glanced at Faith, who nudged her with hip. "Okay," Buffy said.

When the band took their break, a DJ took over the music and some slower songs began to play. Oz was redheaded and about Buffy's height. He was kind of cute, though, and stared at Buffy with a very intense and intelligent stare. There was nothing Weasley-like in his gaze, however.

She put her arms around his shoulders, and his hand went to her waist. They danced a bit in silence, and finally he spoke, unable to stop the words: "Are you like me?"

Buffy gave him a puzzled smile. "I don't know. What are you like?" she asked. It had been many months since Angel, and she was finally ready to date. This was her senior year, and she did want it to be fun and not just about studying all the time. Okay, he flunked his senior year, but Devon did say he had a genius I.Q. Willow would probably really like the guy, and he was in a rock band. There was a definite cool factor.

Oz didn't know how to ask his question without telling her his secret, which he could not do. However, he knew she was something special. Holding her this close, her power was even more evident. "You're special," Oz observed.

"I like to think so," Buffy said carefully.

"I'm special, too," Oz replied. "I was just wondering if we were special in the same way."

Buffy's eyes lit up. "Oh, are you a witch, too?" Buffy asked.

When Oz's eyes widened in surprise at her words, Buffy realized her mistake.
