Prank gone wrong (but in a good way)
In the upstairs hallway of the Loud Residence of Royal Woods, Michigan, a door at one end of the hallway slowly opens. Lincoln Loud, wearing his blue bicycle helmet, pillows tied to both sides of his torso, and holding a badminton racket tiptoes out of his room, looking around with a nervous look on his face. He then sees the readers.
"Oh, hey. You're probably wondering why I have this stuff on." said Lincoln. "No, it's not because it's Halloween. Believe me, I wish it was, I wouldn't be on high alert if it was, and I would be dressed as Ace Savvy instead. Instead, today is the day almost every member of my family, even the pets fear; April Fool's Day!"
"Lincoln, keep your voice down!" said Lola from her bedroom, behind a barricaded door. "You don't want Luan to know where you are right now, do you?" Lincoln quickly covers his mouth in response.
"Yeah; on April Fool's Day, my sister, Luan, goes completely crazy with pranks." said Lincoln in a quiet tone. He shudders as he thinks back to all the pranks by Luan he's had to endure in his life. "I guess you could say she becomes a complete Luan-atic. Dang it, now I'm making puns. You're probably wondering why I'm outside the safety of my bedroom; I'm getting thirsty. you see, I got snacks, my video games, and a hose to pee in, which I call a Tinkle Tube, but I forgot beverages; maybe if I get to the bathroom real quietly, I can get a drink of water and get to my room before Luan pranks me."
Suddenly, he hears an explosion from the bathroom, followed by a yell, and sees water coming from under the bathroom door. It opens, and a soaking wet Lynn Jr, wearing a baseball catcher mask and chest protector while holding a baseball bat, comes out of the bathroom, frowning, and walks back to her and Lucy's room. Unfortunately, when she opens the door, and walks inside; a sack of flour falls on her. The flour then sticks to her wet body; making Lynn growl as she slams her door shut. "Okay, bathroom's out of the question. I may be taking a risk being farther from my room, but I'll have to go to the kitchen." He tiptoes to the stairs. Remembering that the stairs creak when stepped on, Lincoln sits on the stair railing and slowly slides down; once reaching the bottom, he quietly climbs down from the railing and sneaks towards the kitchen.
He sticks an arm into the kitchen, swinging the badminton racket, Lincoln looks inside and sees the coast is clear. He grabs a drinking glass from the cupboard, and sets it on the counter, quietly. He walks to the fridge but stops after remembering that on a previous April Fool's Day; Luan rigged it with a spring-loaded boxing glove inside. He then quickly steps to the side while opening the fridge door. To his relief, nothing but food and beverages were inside. Lincoln takes out a carton of fruit punch and pours it into the glass. He then walks over to the fridge to put the carton back in. As he does, an arm sticks out from under the kitchen sink, holding an eye dropper, and uses it to put several drops of a pink liquid into Lincoln's punch.
After putting the carton away, Lincoln walks to the glass and drinks from it. He then puts the glass in the sink, picks up his badminton racket, and walks out of the kitchen. As he enters the living room, he begins to feel drowsy. A few seconds later, he falls asleep on the floor. Luan is standing in the dining room entry, tossing a small, brown vial up and down onto her hand, grinning at Lincoln.
"I got to say, Lisa's sleeping serum works like a charm." said Luan. "Almost makes me wish I didn't set up a stink time bomb in her bunker." She then looks at her watch and smirks. "Speaking of which..." Outside the Loud residence at Lisa's bunker, an explosion is heard from inside it.
"Sweet mercy! The stench is worse than Lynn's socks!" yelled Lisa. Back at the Loud House.
"Lisa really needs a better passcode other than her birthday." said Luan. She then returns her attention to Lincoln. "Now, what to do with Lincoln?" She scratches her chin until a smirk appears on her face and she looks down at Lincoln.
Half an hour later on the porch of the Loud residence, Luan was sitting on the steps with a large cardboard box behind her. A delivery truck pulls up next to the Loud house, then a large man steps out of it, and walks up to Luan.
"Good afternoon. I'm here to pick up a package." said the man.
"Right here." said Luan, pointing towards the large box. She then hands the delivery man a shipping label addressed to Aunt Ruth's house on it. "Just have it sent to that address; next day delivery."
"Yes, ma'am." said the delivery man. "Is what in the box fragile?"
"No, it's taken a lot of punishment over the years." said Luan.
"Okay, then." said the delivery man.
"Thank you and have a nice day." said Luan as she holds out her hand to give the delivery man, who then grabs it, only to get shocked by Luan's specially made hand buzzer.
"OW!" said the delivery man as he pulls his hand away from Luan's.
"Ha, ha, ha! April Fools!" said Luan. The delivery man growls, making Luan nervous. A minute later, the cardboard box was loaded into the delivery truck, and starts heading towards downtown Royal Woods. "Well, there goes my only 'mail' sibling."
Ten minutes later, the delivery man arrives at the post office, and unloads the box with Lincoln still asleep inside, which was then brought into a shipping area inside, where hundreds of packages were inside, waiting to be sent out, with a man sitting at a desk, going over some forms.
"Hey, Mark!" said the delivery man.
"Yeah, Steve?" replied the delivery man now known as Mark.
"We got another package here; express delivery." said Steve. Mark then hands Steve the shipping label that Luan gave to him.
"It's going to that address." said Mark.
"I'll get on that." said Steve as he sets the shipping label on his desk, near a small pile of other shipping labels. Mark then leaves to do work elsewhere. As Steve starts to reach for Luan's shipping label, he looks at his watch, and sees his shift was over. He looks to see a postal worker, who was doing the next shift, enter the area.
"Hey, Issac." said Mark.
"Yeah, Mark?" replied Issac.
"Can you put this shipping label on that package over there, and then have it sent out right away?" asked Mark as he points at Luan's shipping label, then at the box that Lincoln was in.
"Sure, just let me clock in, first." said Issac.
"Thanks." said Mark. As he and Issac head for the punch clock, another postal worker rushes in past the desk where the shipping labels were place. As he does, his movement pushes air towards the desk, making Luan's shipping label, along with several other ones from the pile of them, fall off onto the floor. The postal worker stops when he notices them.
"I better pick those up." said the postal worker. He picks the shipping labels off the floor, and quickly puts them on the desk. He then runs off, making one random label from the pile slip off, then stop on the exact spot where Luan's shipping label originally was. Soon, Issac comes back after punching in, and grabs what he thought was Luan's label.
"So, where is this going to?" asked Issac as he looks at the shipping label, to see it was going somewhere called the Alola Region to someone named Hau. He then places the shipping label on the Lincoln-occupied package, and has it sent out to a delivery truck, which soon drives off towards the airport. Once it arrives, it gets sent through processing, then loaded onto an airplane, which then takes off towards its destination.
(The Next Day at the Loud House)
"I can't believe you actually mailed your brother to Aunt Ruth's place!" exclaimed Lynn Sr.
"Come on, dad, it was just a joke." replied Luan.
"That was literally a little overboard." said Lori.
"A little?" replied Rita Loud with a frown.
"Lincoln's probably rubbing Aunt Ruth's disgusting feet right now!" said Lola as she shudders at the thought of them.
"Lucky." muttered Lana.
"I'll call Aunt Ruth to see if Lincoln's okay." said Rita Loud as she walks to the phone.
"Assuming that Lincoln didn't get food poisoning from eating expired pudding." said Luna. Rita picks up the phone and dials Aunt Ruth's number. After a couple rings, Aunt Ruth replies.
"Hello?" said Aunt Ruth.
"Hey, Aunt Ruth." said Rita.
"Oh, Rita, I'm glad you called." said Aunt Ruth. "I was meaning to thank you and the rest of the family for the lovely hammock you sent me."
"Hammock?" replied Rita.
"Yes." said Aunt Ruth.
"Are you sure it's from us?" asked Rita.
"Yes. The return address on the package was yours." replied Aunt Ruth.
"Aunt Ruth; is Lincoln at your house?" asked Rita.
"No, he's not." replied Aunt Ruth. "Too bad, I could use his help emptying out my cats' litter boxes."
"Oh. Well, anyway. I got to get going." said Rita.
"Okay. Thanks again for the lovely hammock." said Aunt Ruth.
"You're, uh, welcome. Goodbye." said Rita.
"Goodbye." said Aunt Ruth. She hangs up. Back at the Loud House, Rita hangs up and looks at the rest of the family with a worried expression.
"What's wrong, Mom?" asked Lucy from behind Rita, scaring her.
"Did something happen to Lincoln?" asked Leni.
"I'm not sure." said Rita. "He never arrived at Aunt Ruth's house."
"What?!" replied Lynn Sr.
"A different package arrived at Aunt Ruth's house." replied Rita. "Had a hammock in it, thought it was from us."
"So, if Lincoln's not at Aunt Ruth's, where is he?" asked Lana. The family suddenly got worried. Luan was the most worried out of all of them.
'Lincoln, where are you?' Luan asked herself. Somewhere on a group of islands called the Alola Region, a local postal worker was delivering a large package to a place called Iki Town. The postal worker stops at a small house with a straw roof, sets the package in front of the door, and knocks on the door. It soon opens, revealing a large, elderly man with tan skin, gray hair and mustache, wearing a yellow jacket with blue flowers on it over a blue shirt, along with white shorts, and sandals.
"Alola, Kahuna Hala." said the postal worker.
"Alola." said the man, now known as Kahuna Hala.
"I have a package for your grandson, Hau." said the postal worker.
"Oh, it must be from his pen pal in America." said Kahuna Hala. The postal worker hands him a clipboard, and he signs a delivery confirmation form.
"Thank you." said the postal worker. After he leaves, Kahuna Hala picks up the package and carries it to the living room and sets it on the floor.
"Hau, you have a package from America!" said Kahuna Hala. A dark-skinned boy with dark green hair tied to a ponytail, wearing a black shirt, yellow shorts with orange and white flowers on them, and orange shoes enter the living room.
"Thanks, Grandfather." replied the boy, identified as Hau. "I wonder what my pen pal sent me. She said she was sending me a hammock." Hau pulls off the tape that held the flaps of the box together and opens them up. To Kahuna Hala and Hau's surprise, a battered Lincoln climbs out of the box, breathing heavily.
"What on Earth?!" said Kahuna Hala. Lincoln rubs his head.
"How did I get in that box?" asked Lincoln.
"Alola." said Hau, getting Lincoln's attention.
"Uh, hello." said Lincoln.
"Are you okay, young man?" asked Kahuna Hala, making Lincoln look over at him.
"I think I'll be okay." replied Lincoln. He looks around. "Where am I?"
"You're in Iki Town here in the Alola Region." said Hau. Lincoln thinks for a bit, and remembers what day yesterday was.
"LUUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!" Lincoln yells as loud as he could, startling Kahuna Hala and Hau.
End of Chapter 1
Authors' Note: Well, here's another Loud House/Pokemon crossover. We'll be doing a poll for which Alolan starter that Lincoln should get.
