However it looked like Phalanx and by proxy, Cassius, didn't get damaged much and it was only the hit to the side which knocked Phalanx off balance and stuff.
After this happened, Phalanx spun its spear in his hand and he threw the spear at the Shadow which caused it to roar in pain when it flew faster than normal and Cassius felt a bit of fatigue from that attack, it was an HP draining attack instead of an SP type attack.

Ladydevimon said before her form glowed and in some kind of code like fashion… she turned into a mask attachment that looked similar to her own mask and as the bit flew to Cassius and he caught the bit, everyone looks at Ann when she was sleeping after the fucking she experienced as Angel vanished into a mask bit that Cassius collects and Mitsuru sighs at how things went.
"OK… not sure if its a good place to rest but with Ann out of it and all of us pretty much going from battle to battle and… than some without rest… I suggest one of us take watch in shifts as we rest and after some time we swap places with the person on watch… Yukari… considering things, mind taking first watch?" Mitsuru said while Yukari blinks a bit when she looks at Mitsuru after she stared at Ann for a moment.
"Huh?... oh sure, I can keep watch… are all of you sleeping on the bed here?" Yukari said while Mitsuru shrugged.
"Got no other choice, can't sleep on the floor, shadows may appear, the bed is a safe bet and stuff." Mitsuru said as she removed her fur coat and placed it nearby.
"Besides with the day I've had… I need a good nap… just hope the others are OK." Mitsuru said while she seemed worried for the others… and well after seeing what most went through, who knows how the others are doing… Mitsuru being the leader would probably be on edge for multiple reasons but as many got in bed… well Cassius blushed when he was surprisingly snuggled up to by Ann and Mitsuru though that was because Mitsuru moved Ann to Cassius and said this.
"B-Body heat… don't misunderstand." Mitsuru said while Morgana, while not happy about Cassius getting to snuggle with Ann, did take advantage of the situation to snuggle up with Ann from behind… all in all…. Cassius, though a bit uncomfortable in his armor, couldn't complain much when he had two beautiful women snuggling up to him and long story short… the group of people on the bed fell asleep fast thanks to all four of them being in situations besides battle exhausting them while Yukari sighs when she moved to keep watch.
The scene than fades to black for now while Yukari keeps watch, if anyone can make sure no one ambushes them, it would be the Archer of the group.

To any and all readers, periodically the requester, Theqman90 or Veras11 on Discord will join in making this 6000 word chapter a partial co-op but will be mainly a solo venture for me so please enjoy the story.

When Cassius opened his eyes when he thought he was asleep… he was in a fancy looking room while he looked surprised since this seemed a bit too… surreal to feel like he was just dreaming… hell he could control his actions when he moved his arms.
Though as he was getting used to the odd feeling fast, he also noticed he was in his normal form, not even in his Phantom thief getup, and next, he noticed a number of people before him when they entered the large regal like room that he got a better look at… seemed to be a throne room but had a black and blue theme going instead of gold and red in most thrones.
Once the people got close, Cassius saw that there was a long nosed man with a butler outfit on, or close to it… looked like a black suit, the guy had a wide grin and he seemd to have some kind of regal composed air about him.
There were multiple people in blue near him and he saw that one was a mature looking woman, she wore blue from head to toe with blue thigh high boots on her feet, long black stockings that went all the way up her legs past the blue… well skirt more or less though it seemed to be an elaborate one piece like coat that had a blue belt and she wore a headband on the top of her platinum-blonde hair head that was blue in color, she had flawless white skin, rose colored lips, and piercing golden eyes and she had a book in her right hand and when Cassius focused his sights on it, it was called Le Grimoire.
The next person down the line was a woman in a blue outfit as well, which will be a repeating theme from here out out for the rest of the people.
The woman in blue had platinum-blonde to white hair like the older looking woman, she had piercing golden eyes, she had a stewardess like hat on her head, mid arm length gloves, Knee high heeled boots and wore a blue outfit, most likely a stewardess outfit to complete the had look, that had five black circles on the front, she had a book in her hands that had the name… Persona Compendium while she had a smile on her face.
The next was a man in blue and he wore a bellhop outfit, he had hair like the other women so Cassius figured the people in blue were a family for the most part aside from a cloaked figure in the back who wore a cloak that covered his head and his face with shadows.
Anyway the man in the bellhop outfit had white gloves, mainly black pants with one blue stripe on both sides of his pants going up from the end of the leggings o the waistband of his pants, the shirt part of his outfit had four black target like marks that had golden buttons on them and he had a calm demenor as he looks at Cassius.
Next of the final helper looking people in blue minus the man with the cloak in the back was a girl who looked similar to the other helper people… she had long platinum-blonde hair like the mature woman, golden eyes like the others minus the long nose man, and she looked like a French or Victorian maid… don't ask Cassius how he knows that one… she wears a blue dress with a stylish matching headband with white butterflies with yellow rose attachments on it and has noticeable pink lips at a glance, she also has a book with her called the La Grimoire but it looked much bigger than the mature woman's version.
All in all, aside from the cloaked figure, the rest seemed rather… tranquil here while they look at Cassius and the long nose man smiles more and gives a one arm bow while the others do the same.
"Greetings Cassius, I am Igor… and I would explain how I know you but I'll leave that for later because I am here to welcome you to the Velvet room, this is a place between consciousness and the subconsciousness… a place that changes depending on who calls for us hinse the throne room that you were called to… I am Igor… Master of the Velvet room though in this case it's more like I am just the advisor hehe… reminds me of my time in my younger years… the others here are from oldest to youngest… Margaret… she is the one who will aid you the most here when it comes to explaining things… next would be Elizabeth and Theodore, they are similar in age, they will aid you in logging Persona and issuing you quests that they will personally decide for you, sometimes the others here will do so as well… next is Lavenza… she will be aiding you in a shop later that Margaret will be in charge of when she is not explaining things… I'll explain the final person in a moment but I'm sure you have some questions but I can answer all when I say this… we are here to support you… we deal with fusing Persona and recalling past ones thanks to the books Elizabeth and Theodore carry… the Persona Compendium… depending on the price, you can buy back past personas though that Ladydevimon is unique and can't be used in the current fusing process I'm afraid." Igor said as Cassius looked really confused.
"Whoa who whoa!... fusing?, compendium?, shop?, what?... OK let's rewind a bit since that explanation went over my head for a moment… I know who most are now but why help me?... I mean seriously why?" Cassius said while Igor chuckled but looked solemn as he held his hands behind his back while the other attendants looked saddened.
"Why indeed… could say it's an effect of the Wildcard that attracted us to you… more so since we have dire news and don't want to wait till you found a door here to us… to make a very long story short with sad news… two of our past guests here to the Velvet room passed on… one was Yu Narukami, he was attacked recently by a certain figure we have yet to identify and while he did some damage given his power… he was no match… and the one called Joker of the Phantom thieves died as well to similar results, thanks to how recent this battle was in the Lust palace after many got split apart, Joker found himself alone after falling for a trap that would have killed the one called Ryuji…. You can ask for more details from him but the figure has retreated for now to tend to their wounds so I doubt you'll see them for a while and given how they will hear of your wildcard ability sooner or later… I would expect them to come after you… so in order to make sure you don't end up like Yu or Joker, we are here to aid you in your upcoming battles… and before you say anything, it's your call on if you want to use the Velvet room or not, but the fact of the matter is that compared to Yu and Joker, even if they were a bit rusty, were much stronger than you, stronger personas, better use of the Wildcard ability, powerful weaponry, experience from battle… they outclass you in many ways… however this is where my newest attendant will take over so he can explain some features that he and I implemented in order to aid you in your upcoming battles… Emerald… if you would be so kind." Igor said as Igor and the attendants all look at the cloaked figure and said figure in the blue cloak raised a black gloved hand and pulled the hood back to show a man with surprisingly dark brown hair, green eyes, and he wore a blue outfit that would fit the Velvet room when it was an inversion of Theodore's outfit with mainly a black theme for the shirt and blue for the pants and shoes with black stripes going up his pants, the Cloak he wore hid most of that from view as Emerald walked towards Cassius and bows deeply for a moment before he stands.
"Greetings Cassius, I am Emerald, I will be explaining the new features of the Velvet room and how they will impact you since you are a being who has the power of the wildcard… since you arrived here the effect should already taken effect, if you would be so kind, could you say Inventory?" Emerald said while he had a patient tone to his voice though Cassius was shocked and confused by much of what he heard though he did want to make sense of this so…
"Inventory." Cassius said right before he was shocked when some kind of RPG like item list appeared and showed that his phone, wallet, and other personal effects were inside of the Inventory already, hell he even had a category for his weapons, armor, and other categories so he could look for things easily though Cassius figured this was just a dream and would have brushed it off but.
"I'm afraid Cassius that while this is indeed a dream, this is as real as you are, once you wake, say Inventory, Status, system, or other gaming terms you may know so you can access them at any time… I doubt I need to explain much but in a nutshell I have with the help of Igor, managed to alter some… rules of reality for you and you alone for now so you can access these things called menus… in a nutshell you may as well call yourself a living RPG character incarnate." Emerald said as he hoped Cassius got the general idea so he wouldn't have to explain too much.
Cassius rubbed his temples in frustration. Things have been moving too fast for him to comprehend.
Emerald noticed Cassius looking a bit overwhelmed and he chuckled.
"My apologies Cassius, its just my sisters here, Margaret and Lavenza are a bit distressed from what happened to their favorite guests so I was trying to end things fast so that they wouldn't get stressed for now… more so for Lavenza here." Emerald said as Lavenza sighs.
"No need to worry about me, I'll grieve for my former guest later… its important for the current guest to be as prepared as possible so he can take on the current threat." Lavenza said while Emerald looked at Margaret to see if she felt the same with Cassius looking at her as well.
"I share the same sentiments as my sister." Said Margaret as she approached Cassius. Putting a hand on his shoulder. You just met us. But trust us when we say we will do everything in our power to aid you."
Cassius looked into the Eyes of Margaret and he could see the sincerity of her words. He looked at everyone in the room and they had the same look in their eyes as well. Taking another deep breath. He calmed down.
"Okay, This is all nuts. But.. I believe you. So Where do we go from here?"
Margaret gave him a wide smile.
Cassius received a notification for the system.

Emerald chuckles when Cassius looks surprised by the notification he got.
"And as you can see, your bond with everyone here increased thanks to the trust given, nothing with me yet I'm afraid since I barely know you but hopefully it will change when we meet up in reality for real but I believe Margaret can explain the system better than I can even if I and Igor made it…. She was able to simplify things so that even the hyperactive Elizabeth could understand it… no offense sister, just saying Margaret really does get things rolling." Emerald said while Elizabeth giggled.
"No worries… Anyway, Sister Margaret, please explain the new systems so our dear guest can be fully aware of things when he wakes." Elizabeth said when she was glad for the change in topic for now.
"Quite right Elizabeth. Cassius please bring up your menu." Elizabeth said which caused Cassius to call up his menu and the first thing he saw was his stats page.

She continued the explanation by saying that since he is now a persona user. His body is stronger, faster and more durable than normal people. This will only increase as he grows in power. She cautions not to let this go to his head. The former Wildcards had great power at their disposable and they were still defeated.

"Does the system generate this quest or are all you assigning these to me" Cassius asked to everyone in the room?
Margaret was the one to answer. "The system itself gives out the quests, but we are able to assign quests as well."
"Indeed, though try and make sure you report some quests in person if the quest pretty much requests that, sometimes a requester will have to give a reward in person depending on the person in question." Emerald said while he crossed his arms when he looks at Cassius.
Moving on, Cassius decided to look at the Inventory. It had the usual set up from most of the video games that he played in the past.. Weapons, armor and consumable items that he had were his spearsword, hand Cannon and bodysuit.

The stats were all lower than what he had with the attendants but that is to be expected. He barely knew them and even though he had been intimate with Mitsuru. It did not happen in ideal conditions.
Margaret then explained that the store that he can access from his menu is only a fraction of what she has when buying from her..
When asked why, all she said was this.
"Simple, it's because of the fact that items have a level requirement, but also because items here have to be bought with Drachma, it's a special currency you can get here in Palaces or from special quests that my brother and sister can give you, but in a nutshell you won't be able to by the best equipment from the start, though I can do this, since you'll be taking Emerald with you soon, he should help you by doing things with the system in place that you may not be able to yet since he is still ironing things out… like a difficulty and a reward system so the harder the difficulty the higher the rewards." Margaret said with a smile as Emerald nods his head.
"Yeah, need to iron things out so its balanced more, maybe an adaptive difficulty or something so the better he fight goes, the harder it gets, the worse things go, the easier things get." Emerald said when he figured that could be a good idea.
"Really?... what else you got?" Cassius said while Emerald hums.
"Well in a nutshell I have other systems I have yet to implement but one of them is almost finished, its something like a reward system if you get your stats high enough so it can reward you unique perks like say get your strength high enough, maybe a perk that boosts your endurance thanks to how high your power is?, I'm still working out the details so that may or may not get tossed out and swapped with a different one but that is just an example, the system is still in its 0.5 phase, a beta if you get the general idea." Emerald said when he really hoped Cassius got the idea.
"So you mean that this system is new? Am I the first one to ever use it? How did the other Wildcards get stronger?"" Cassius said while Emerald gestured to the others.
"Good old fashion grinding more or less in fetch quest, shadow hunts and all alround patience… we can only speed things up so much, the rest is more or less on you and your willingness to get stronger… the real question is how much of a drive do you have?... remember even if they were rusty, the other wildcards had stronger Personas, weapons, and general advantages compared to you so in a nutshell you have a long way to go even if you can do more than them… and thanks to some work on my end… thanks to some talks with Elizabeth, Lavenza, and Margaret… we have come to an agreement that as long as you start out with these three particular Personas… you can get Yu Narukami's Izanagi… Joker's Arsene, and finally the guest of Elizabeth, Minato Arisato, his name I just got, his Persona, Orpheus, that has not seen use in a long time, Or a variant at least since Aigis would have a Wildcard skill of her own so this would be a genderbent version of Orpheus… they would have to be trained to their old skills but you would be pretty much not only a Wildcard among wildcards if you plan things right, but a powerful combination of all the initial Persona's of past wildcards… again they will be at Level 1 but in exchange you'll get an item from me that will help speed up training Persona's immensely, but first while I get it, Master Igor, mind explaining the various Fusion processes to Cassius and I can explain the final one that was made specifically for Cassius?" Emerald said as he got ready to leave when Igor nods his head. (Note from TME: Using the Manga version name of the P3 protag since there is already a Mikoto in P5, prevents confusion later.)
"Certainly… as you heard Cassius there are various fusions, in a nutshell if your Persona are strong enough or you have high enough bonds with certain people, you'll be able to use the Personas you have to make new more powerful Persona… do not worry, say you use Phalanx… Margaret, Elizabeth, and Lavenza can recall him from the sea of souls so he can reside in you again… just because a Persona lost its form for battle doesn't mean its gone for good, and in some cases the mind will just transfer to the new body in some cases… do you want me to go over the basic stuff so you'll know what to expect?" Igor asked while he had a patient look in his large eyes.
"Uhhh… sure?" Cassius said since he was getting things more or less under control but explanations would help more.
"Good… in a nutshell all Fusions result in stronger Persona, however there are various types I can use on my end… two way fusion, three way fusion, four way fusion, and five way fusion… the strongest type of fusion I am able to use, unfortunately with your current strength you can only use the double fusion process for now, but soon you'll get the triple fusion going and ETC… however know there is a case where Fusion accidents can occur, in some cases though rare, accidents happen and let's say you fuse two Persona together, the resulting one maybe what you picked but in rare cases you could get say… a Pixie with the skills you selected instead of the intended Persona… am I making sense?" Igor said while he looked curiously at Cassius to see if he was following so far.
"Uh… yeah I think so, fusing two Persona together whatever that means pretty much makes stronger Persona, and while levels don't matter much thanks to the stat boosting stuff used, I need a high enough level to be able to make new ones?" Cassius said while Igor nods his head a bit.
"Indeed, granted if you worked hard enough you may not need levels to summon new personas if your stats are high enough to surpass theirs but given Levels are needed to help with your bonus points, would be a contradiction if levels were fully taken out of the equation, levels help with gauging the stats your Persona have and while they may not matter to you, your Persona are separate beings without the benefit of stat distribution for now, granted Emerald could change this so your Persona could have bonus stats in the future but I'm sure you would agree that would be helpful at a later date once you get a handle on the initial system and the fusion process correct?" Igor said while Cassius rubs the side of his head.
"Y-Yeah… kinda still processing things with fusion, stats, levels being needed yet not needed, and soon there will be a way to make Persona's stronger but not by pure levels?... yeah this may take awhile unless I can get some kind of tutorial thing I can look at later." Cassius said while comically the system opened up and showed an options menu which showed a tutorial button so Cassius could look things up… either the menu was being smart with him or it was mocking him.
"There is something else. A dungeon system has be created to help you gain strength. Right now only a few dungeons are available but as you clear them. More will unlock. To access them you will have to come here to the velvet room." Explained Margeret. Margaret lead Cassius to large tome on a pedestal. The book had DUNGEONS in big bold letters. Opening the book he could see only three dungeons written on the page.

"So I can do these dungeons and grow stronger. Am I the only one that can enter them?"
Margaret thought for a moment before answering. " For know yes. But once you form a complete bond with someone you can add them to your party and bring them. But you can only have four people in your party and the positions are permanent. So choose wisely." Margaret said while Cassius nods his head.
"I see… wait if the positions are permanent, won't that mean I'm stuck with those four?" Cassius said while Emerald chipped in when he made his appearance.
"Oh somewhat, you can change them anytime here in the velvet room but in the dungeon… no go unless I add some type of system in said dungeons that allow for checkpoints and ally swapping… again 0.5 or a beta of these things so still ironing out things but in terms of harshness, you won't find much for the dungeons here in the easy sections, its the normal and hard levels you gotta watch out for… trust me, it would be like a level 1 noob in a MMORPG going to fight a superboss with starting equipment… either it will ignore you for not aggroing it with 0 damage or one shot you faster than you can score with female personas… heyo!" Emerald said with a fist in the air at the end while Elizabeth giggles at the bit Emerald just did though Emerald got a serious look on his face.
"Still Cassius you better be careful, thanks to how this system is, in order to balance things out, there is a penalty system of sorts if you don't use it much, for example if you don't complete the daily quest with pushups and stuff, various… bugs will happen and you may experience unpleasant things… pretty sure Margeret can explain some but the worst of them are teleported to a dungeon and you have to survive for a time and the absolute worse is getting bombarded by status ailments galore… thanks to how random its good or bad but most cases bad." Emerald said while he shuddered at this kind of issue with the system.
Cassius looks surprised and he gave Emerald a half lidded look.
"You have got to be kidding me… penalties?" Cassius said while Emerald shrugged.
"Need incentive to do them besides warnings, helps with getting you stronger so why not help with being a little spartan… besides these quests are similar to the main one you got a bit ago… the prizes are one of three like the main quest, one prize box, stats, and a status recover, so in a nutshell it's not the worst reward, I made sure that they would balance things out… just need to make sure that I iron out the penalties later so that they are not that severe like they are now but could increase the rewards if you want to make things more balanced like a second prize box or something." Emerald said while he hoped that would help ease Cassius's ire.
"Right… anything else I should know?" Cassius said as Emerald remembered the item he got.
"Oh yes, there is one thing, please follow me Cassius, there is one unique fusion you may like to use that is my own making." Emerald said as he smirks while a confused Cassius followed Emerald into a new room which looked like a black and blue themed love hotel room with odd looking rune and symbols in a tasteful fashion and Cassius looks at Emerald.
"Uhhh… what is this room?" Cassius asked while Emerald passed Cassius a item that looked like a bangle.
"Simple, it's a room that has a unique fusion process here… in a nutshell you have a male and female Persona you have well… have sex and new Persona as made, you don't lose the Persona like with Igor but the two Persona lose all their levels but one and you'll have to grind them back up, however that's because all those levels go into the newly created Persona so it will be the combined levels of the parents, so say Jack Froat is used as the male parent and a female Persona is used and both are level 10 each, both lose 9 levels and the levels are put on the child, so if the child is level 1, it gains 18 levels from the get go, a powerful fusion of sorts, risk of weakened parents and training them up, reward of a strong child who surpasses their parents in many ways… if you want we could give it a try now if you want." Emerald said while Cassius looks surprised but he did want to see how this would go, and since he had sex with Shadow females and let the female Persona handle male Shadows…
"Well… alright, might as well see how this goes." Cassius said while Emerald smiles.
"Excellent, just chose a male and female Persona and we can get started, some female Persona can be used if they have male genitalia or can form one naturally, just in case you're curious about how those kind of Persona females works." Emerald said while Cassius nods his head before he took a moment to check the two Persona that he would pick and looks at their levels.

Cassius figured those levels for the Persona he picked made sense, if his math was right, minus 7 for Jack frost, 5 for Angel, and the Persona would be level either level 12 if it was a flat EXP transfer or 13 if the level thing was adding onto the initial 1 for the Persona… either way still a boost though he was thoughtful about something since there was the level and stat boost system.
"Hang on… would the stats for the Persona stay the same or would they be taken down as well?" Cassius said as Emerald chuckles.
"Nice to see you notice that, long story short its… so-so… the parents stats will become half of their stats as they are so instead of one, you get 5 if the Persona's strength was 10 before this session happens… after that its the same grinding thing so say you get a Persona at level 99 with maxed stats of say 99 as an example, if you use this method, the Persona is halved to around 45 or so stat wise and at level 1… depending on how you see it, it could either be very bad or good depending on how you look at it." Emerald said while Cassius did some math and got wide eyes.
