Envious Fairy

"Hey, not too shabby," I remarked, scanning the apartment Lucy managed to snag. It had a certain charm to it, despite feeling a tad cramped for the both of us.
It was essentially one big room, cleverly sectioned off into multiple smaller areas—a modern bathroom, a compact kitchen, and a sprawling bedroom that doubled as a living space, complete with a balcony just outside.
Curiosity piqued, I couldn't help but question the solitary bedroom setup and the lack of separate beds. Lucy just shrugged it off, claiming it was a matter of cost and necessity.

Bullshit.

Was she devoid of any sense of privacy? Or perhaps she had developed some exhibitionist kink when I was not looking?

"Pretty neat, huh?" Lucy chimed in, her face lit up with excitement as she stirred a pot on the stove. Luckily, the kitchen was already stocked with cooking essentials, a saving grace considering the hefty 70,000 Jewels monthly rent.

That sum would make anyone's pockets feel lighter, especially considering the struggles of non-magical folks who couldn't simply embark on quests for a quick payday. Even the adventurers and mercenaries raked in anywhere from 20,000 to 50,000 Jewels per quest, typically hovering around C or B rank missions.
For us regular wizards, those missions were no walk in the park, and the notion of completing them back-to-back seemed like a distant dream. Unless you were S-Class or higher wizard of course.

"So, spill the beans. How'd today's quest go?" I inquired, twirling Lucy's Celestial gate keys around my finger absentmindedly.
"Well, originally I was aiming for this big-ticket ingredient gathering quest, but turns out Natsu had his own agenda—saving his guild mate, or our guild mate now, I guess," Lucy replied, her expression shifting awkwardly at the mention of our newfound allegiance to Fairy Tail, the top guild in the kingdom.
She is still finding hard to believe that we really joined up in her favorite guild without any hassle.

"It was quite the thrill, to be honest. Too bad you missed out. We had a run-in with this clever big monkey monster named Vulkan, which was actually man we were rescuing getting possessed." she recounted, a smile tugging at her lips, recalling all fun fight and journey.
"I missed out because you ditched me!" I protested, tossing the celestial keys in her direction. She deftly swatted them away, and they returned to my hand as if by magic.

"Aw, don't be such a grump. We've gotta mix it up, team up with others every now and then, now that we're part of the guild," she remarked casually, unfazed by my irritation.
"You just wanna hang out with that fire-breathing lizard," I retorted, shooting her a heated glare. Why was she so fixated on Natsu? She'd never ditched me like this before. Sure, she left me in the safest possible place—the Fairy Tail guildhall—but it still stung.
I sulked in the corner, my initial irritation fading away. I suppose Lucy had a point. We'd practically been attached at the hip our whole lives, so having some new faces around her age must've been a refreshing change.

After devouring Lucy's surprisingly delicious dinner, her culinary skills improving by leaps and bounds, we engaged in some small talk while taking turns in the shower. But just as we were settling into the evening, Natsu and Happy decided to pull a prank, sneaking up on us and eliciting a startled scream from Lucy.
"Ah!" she yelped, though thankfully it wasn't loud enough to raise the neighbors' suspicions. Meanwhile, I quickly stashed away the sword I had nearly reached for, my weapon wheel ready to spring into action.

"For crying out loud, could you two enter like normal people instead of balcony, you home invaders?" I grumbled, my annoyance evident before I reined it in. I refused to be a jerk just because I was feeling a little jealous, damn it.
"Yeah, what he said, what's the deal, guys? Why are you here?" Lucy queried, her tone a mix of curiosity and mild annoyance. At least she wasn't talking with her fist toward Home invaders.

"We were just passing by and thought we'd drop in to see where you two were staying," Natsu replied casually, plopping down on the carpeted floor.
"Aye, it's good to see you're in a nicer part of town," chimed in Happy, Natsu's blue feline companion.
"Wait, there's a bad part of the city?" I interjected, feeling a pang of panic at Happy's words catching me off guard. I thought this was the best city in this time period.

"Well, we don't have slums like some other kingdoms and their cities, and Magnolia is one of Fiore's finest cities, but it's not without its flaws. Sometimes, unsavory characters lurk around until we or the city guards or the police give them the boot," Happy explained, adopting a lecturing tone as if he'd suddenly become a professor, complete with a pair of imaginary glasses perched on his nose. Meanwhile, Natsu was eyeing Lucy's Celestial gate keys to distract himself while Professor Happy imparted his feline wisdom.

Too bad Lucy does not write novel like her canon counterpart, otherwise it would have picked Natsu's intrest.
"You mean the Dark mages," Lucy deduced immediately.

"Oh, so you guys aren't as clueless as I thought," Natsu blurted out, earning himself a deadpan look from Lucy that spoke volumes of her displeasure.
"No, we're not. We've had our fair share of run-ins with them, although they were hardly worth our time, not even C-ranked," I replied, memories of past encounters flooding back. They were nothing more than low-level goons with basic magic, affiliated with gangs in Onibus Town—a forgettable bunch, really.
We chatted for what felt like ages, Lucy and I bombarding them with questions about the local hotspots and the ins and outs of the guild and its members.

After another hour, Natsu and Happy bid us farewell, off to plan their next job for the following day. As they departed, I found myself mulling over whether I should join them or not. Sure, part of me was tempted, but I didn't want to tag along just because of a twinge of jealousy. Besides, I had plenty of other tasks on my plate that demanded my attention. Did I really want to follow the canon storyline just for the sake of it?
The next quest on the horizon was something about Everlue or whatever. Should I take the plunge and join them, or do my own thing?

Rolling…..
You rolled: Water of Life [400 - Legend of Zelda: The Adventure of Link] A gift from a crone in your village, this Water is mystically enchanted to be a great healing boon. When you would otherwise die in battle(and only in battle, from your wounds), you will see that this bottle of water will empty out and restore 3 "Heart Containers" worth of vitality to you. This water is difficult to brew, however, it takes at least a full 3 years for this water to refill after use. What's more, you'll note that any other forms of damage may not heal quite as well as this simply restores your body. However, it will save your life.

Total: 200CP

Ahh shit. That was basically max revived that guaranteed my survival if I managed to fuck something up in the future.
No crying over spilled milk though, I can only hope my next roll will be good.

"Finally stopped pouting, huh?" Lucy teased as she rolled onto the bed, cocooned in a blanket as we settled in for the night.
But there was one glaring issue: we were sharing the same bed, and my sister had always been a bit too clingy for my liking. It had been four years since we'd slept so closely, yet somehow I couldn't shake the feeling that this situation had been orchestrated by her, intentionally.
"So, you wanna tag along on quests with me tomorrow?" she asked, breaking the silence.

"No," I replied bluntly, slipping into my nightwear and sinking into the softness of the bed, feeling its plushness threaten to lull me to sleep instantly.
"Why? I thought you were upset about missing out earlier," she pressed, her head poking out from the blanket to look at me. Despite the darkness, the moonlight cast just enough light for me to see her beautiful face turned toward mine.
"I do want to go with you, but I've got other important things to take care of," I explained.
Lucy looked a little hurt. "More important than spending time with your sister?"

In an attempt to lighten the mood, I playfully shoved her, but in the darkness, I misjudged and my hand ended up in an awkward position, stuck between her chest. I quickly withdrew it, feeling as though I'd touched lava, but thankfully she didn't react, so I chose to ignore the mishap. And what was that weird sound she made?

"No, it's not that. It's just that I've got magic now, and I need more practice before I can use it effectively in a real fight. I don't want to end up hurting myself or my opponent," I explained. It wasn't entirely false—I wasn't overly concerned about my opponents unless I was sparring with allies—but I couldn't bring myself to inflict unnecessary suffering, even on my enemies. Being the good guy had its downsides, but I'd always been too soft-hearted to do anything evil without feeling like my insides were on fire.

I really needed to toughen up, though, especially if I didn't want to end up in tears again like when I accidentally killed that dark wizard at the start of our journey. No one blamed me, but I still felt down in the dumps for a week afterward.
"Alright, alright, you focus on your magic practice, and we'll stick to our usual routine, deal?" Lucy muttered, inching closer until she was practically plastered against me, her arms enveloping me in a sudden embrace.

"And Lulu, why are you so stiff?" She asked after I froze, her voice was a seductive whisper as she closed the distance between us, wrapping me even more tighter in her arms with an unexpected intimacy as if I was going to vanish"H-hey, What's this?" I managed to gasp out, a mixture of panic and arousal bubbling within me, though my laughter betrayed the sensation of her touch sending shivers down my spine.
My body, damn it, was far too sensitive and ticklish.

With a mischievous smirk, Lucy replied, her tone dripping with playful innocence, "I'm just snuggling my brother, it's been ages since you've let me do this."
I laid there, frozen in place, as all resistance melted away under the heat of her embrace. Her ample curves pressed against me, her breasts—soft yet firm, with hardened nipples that rubbing in my chest sent shockwaves of pleasure coursing through me as if they were electrically charged.
"What? I'm just snuggling with my brother. You haven't let me do that for years," she retorted, her tone smug and petulant as she practically melded herself to me.

"Sis, I think this is going a bit too far," I whispered urgently, feeling the blood rush to my face, neck, ears, and elsewhere as Lucas Jr. stirred from its slumber.
"Oh, getting shy now, are we? I heard you were flirting with two beautiful girls when I wasn't around. Where's all that confidence, Mr. Casanova?" she teased, her finger tracing my flushed skin as I squirmed uncomfortably.

"But it's different," I protested weakly, only to be met with Lucy's laughter, echoing like a third-rate villain in a movie.
"Uh huh, tell yourself that and sleep. You're not going anywhere tonight," she purred like a cat, her embrace tightening as my rod stood full on its duty, unfortunately just below Lucy's long and thick hips, which were wrapped around my torso.

"Besides, don't pretend I didn't see you getting jealous when Natsu arrived earlier. You know I won't ever leave you just because I made new friends, right?" she asked, her nose brushing against my cheek as she inhaled deeply, taking in the scent of my shampoo (probably).
"Okay, I get it. So please, stop it. You don't need to prove your point like this," I replied, my words coming out in a stutter as I attempted to wriggle free from her grasp.

"You're right," she whispered, her tongue darting out to lick my face like a hungry lioness preparing for a feast. "I don't need to, but I want to." She whispered in husky tone, her hot breath all around my flushed nape.
I took a deep breath, telling myself that this was just some wild wet dream, and closed my eyes, surrendering to my sister's embrace. Despite the embarrassment, her warmth was comforting, and I drifted off into a restless sleep.

Levy's steps were peppy as she walked, her mood buoyed by the fresh fragrance of the air. She and her companion strolled out of the city via the jungle path on the western outskirts.
It was late morning, and the day greeted them with clear blue skies, not a speck of cloud in sight. Levy was clad in her Shadow Gear outfit, prepared for combat.

"Are you ready, Lucas?" she asked, glancing at the blonde boy who had shed his armor in favor of a fluffy mage robe adorned with minor enchantments, much like her own. Well design was obviously not the same at least. His was more fancy in looks, she noted.

"Where's your sister, by the way?" Levy inquired. She had rather good talk with the new girl yesterday.
"She's off with Natsu and Happy. They've already formed a team and everything," he replied, his face flushing slightly for some reason when he mentioned Lucy.

Aww, he looks kinda cute up close when he's not covered in that bulky armor of his, Levy noted with a hidden smirk.
"Why aren't you with them? Isn't Lucy doing the same Beginner Five job as Natsu and Happy?" she asked, a hint of confusion in her voice.
"No, Master allowed her to take on a B-rank job as long as she's with Natsu. I could've joined them, but I don't have much experience using my own magic, so I opted for these D-rank jobs instead," he explained casually as they walked through a wooded area, following a well-trodden mud road.
"Wait, jobs?" Levy's eyes widened dramatically in surprise.

"Yeah," the boy replied with a grin, producing five batches of quest papers. Levy was taken aback. Why on earth was he carrying five quests at the same time?
"We're doing five quests at the same time? You didn't tell me that when you asked for my help," Levy replied, a tinge of anger in her voice as she realized the magnitude of what the boy had failed to mention. She hadn't even brought Jet and Droy, assuming it would be an easy job with a rookie with a single quest.
Once job was taken, not completing it would left mark on her and boy's record, and shameful mark at that if they failed bunch of D ranks because of time limit.

"Don't worry about it. All of these are ingredient gathering quests for four clients, which is a side quest for our main quest of monster repelling on the farm," he defended himself, raising his hands in a placating gesture. Levy sighed, feeling her frustration subside. "And luckily for us, the ingredients we need is already available around the area where we are going to hunt the monsters."

"Apologies for freaking out," she said, before fixing him with a stern look. "That's an ingenious way of completing multiple minor quests, but remember, you're working with your guildmate now. It's not a serious issue today, but in the future, with higher class quests, withholding important information could lead to disaster. The entire team could be put in jeopardy."

"Yes, ma'am, understood, ma'am!" the boy replied, saluting with a serious expression, mimicking Happy of all people. Levy had to fight back a chuckle. Come on, Levy, keep a straight face, she scolded herself inwardly.

"Okay, enough about gloomy stuff," she said, changing the subject. "Now tell me about your Grimoire. Have you learned any new spells?" she asked, her excitement evident. Maybe this wasn't such a bad idea after all.
