A Sorcerer's Purpose

I am trying to make my own story, away from the canon but still connected.

Three years Before Canon

"A curious thing." Damien muttered, brushing his fingers along the age softened wood of the once great shrine of the Water Goddess. "So sad, to think this was once a mighty shrine, worshipped by a great many." Walking inside, having snuck past the security guards that watched over it during it's deconstruction, he was confused as a subtle glow seemed to resonate from the walls. "Phosphorus moss, maybe?"

Walking down the halls, he let his fingers dance along the walls, never noticing the glow increasing as he walked toward the throne room... not until a sharp pain pricked his fingers.

"Shit... a splinter?" He saw a droplet of blood welling and falling from his finger, onto the aged wood. Then, in an explosive blast, blue energy erupted from the walls, the floor, the ceiling, twirling like a whirlpool. Dragging him down, down and out of this world. Through a realm of galaxy lights, dancing powers older than time.

"What is this?"

He managed to say before collapsing onto his ass, back in the throne room... only it wasn't old and aged, but beautifully painted with regal colors... and he was not alone, there was a woman there, tall and regal, with a purple kimono. In her hand was a tall trident, ornate with white tassels, and a blue glow.

"Who are you and what are you doing in my shrine room?" She commanded, with force he could feel in his blood.

Shaking, he stood. "Damien, and I have no idea... I just bled on an aged version of your shrine, and boom, here."

She frowned, then waved her trident at him. A tugging in his head manifested a blue bubbles arising from his head, showing the scene of the last few moments. She frowned as the scene showed how utterly truthful but uninformed he was. Then she sighed. "You come from a fallen world, where magic has faded from knowledge. We feared of that... we Gods."

"Gods, wait magic is real?" He bowed low. "I would love, be honored to learn it. I am willing to do anything, or well almost anything for that purpose."

She sighed again, then smirked at him. "Your soul is strong, but your spiritual energy is not great... and you hold no demonic powers... It would be unfair of me to expect you to adapt to this world, of demons and greater evils. Very well, I will allow my sprites to pass on the knowledge of combat, magic and healing to you. To allow you the means to survive, but in turn you will serve me as I see fit."

"I can work with that."

"Good... now, shall we introduce you to Rin my Librarian, your magic mentor... and Tobi the head of Gaurd."

And like that, his life chanced in ways he never could have seen, forever...

"Um... Ma'am, when is this?"

She sighed. "Five hundred years into the past, by your life. I hope you can handle that."

"I can, but it might take a bit to get used to. I had little going for me, it's why I broke into your shrine... sorry by the way."

She just laughed and led him onward.
