Jaune was having another nightmare. He remembered his hometown. They were a peaceful village who worshipped the two Brother Gods. They were happy. That soon changed when the Empress found them. He saw fire all around him. People screaming for help and families being torn apart by bullets. He saw his father fighting against a group of soldiers. He told his family to run. The Empire had found them and had ordered their execution on the grounds of being radical heretics. His father was the first to fall. His mother soon followed. One by one he saw his family executed by the Empire's soldiers. He looked around him and spotted his sister's crib. He snatched her up and ran to the back entrance. He heard the laughter of those monsters and watched as they burned his family home to the ground. He heard a loud explosion and saw a bright light.
Jaune awoke with a start. He looked around his room with wide eyes before he began to calm down. His gaze hardened for a second, he remembered his family's cries and his promise. They would be avenged. He slowly got out of bed and began to get dressed for the day. Unknown to him, his bedroom door was cracked. N.P. was getting an eyeful of her new contractor. Before Jaune noticed anything N.P. left and skipped downstairs.
Jaune got ready for the day and went to Sun's room. He knocked to the tune of "Two Shaves and A Haircut; Sun opened the door with a smile. He dramatically bowed before letting Jaune inside. Jaune chuckled at his friend's antics and sat at a desk. Jaune looked at Sun and asked, "What have you found out about our house guest?" Sun chuckled and replied, "Always straight to the point. Her actions are a little odd to say the least. She spends hours talking to herself but her tone suggests she is talking to someone or she thinks she is. Her behavior before now doesn't suggest mental illness so I would suggest the former. Who she is talking to is an entirely new mystery. I don't think it's an adversary because she could have just let us die. I'm assuming it's more like the enemy of my enemy is my friend sort of deal. Aside from that there is nothing noteworthy to report." Jaune just grunted and said, "Very well, keep me posted. We have more pressing matters to deal with at the moment." Sun snickered at his friends gruff attitude. Jaune turned to the computer on the desk and typed in a long series of codes. After that was done a secure call line appeared on the screen and the other line showed the image of a middle aged woman of Indian descent. Jaune started the conversation with a simple greeting, "Hello Rakshata." The now named Rakshata was an engineering genius. Her work in constructing Knightmare's could only be rivaled by Lloyd Asplund. She hated Britannia and what it had done to her country, not to mention her family. Rakshata smirked and purred "Hello Jaune, to what do I owe the pleasure? Did my Knightmares prove to be useful?" Jaune frowned at her teasing tone, "So far, I must inquire about something however. What did you mean when you said my Knightmare would fight better as a team?" Rakshata had a coy smile before saying, "Not so fast Jaune, I am very busy after all and I don't want to give away the surprise." Before Jaune could offer a rebuttal Rakshata ended the call with a wave of her hand.

A frustrated Coco was watching Cardin train. He had been at this for hours and showed no signs of stopping. Ever since Sky, Russel, and Dove had died on the last mission. She understood his grief, those four had survived on the streets and formed a close bond before joining her resistance group. Her entire group knew loss at the hands of the Britannian's. She finally decided to stop watching Cardin and to confront him.
She slowly walked behind him and asked, "Hey there tough guy, need a sparring partner?" Cardin whirled around and snapped to attention. Coco frowned and asked, "You look ridiculous, since when do you follow protocols?" Cardin glared and said, "I have recently decided to make a change. I am going to be a proper soldier and soldiers follow orders. Yesterday's mission was a wake up call. If I had followed the plan and listened to orders all that death could have been avoided." Cardin looked at the ground with tears welling in his eyes and said, "Maybe my brothers would still be here instead of this empty pain." Coco's heart cracked for her soldier. She could relate after all. Cardin eventually composed himself and stood at attention once again before saying, "I will become the perfect soldier and follow all your orders. I trust you with my life." Coco sighs before saying, "Following any order doesn't make you a soldier, it makes you a slave. For now just slow down and think things through. That's all I ask. Now, are we going to spar or not?" Coco removes her jacket and shoes. Cardin blushed furiously and turned away before Coco laughed. She chuckles and says, "Relax Romeo, we are just sparring. I don't think you want to piss off my little bunny." Cardin shivers at the memory of the last new recruit who tried to flirt with Coco, he had never seen her girlfriend go beserk like that. That recruit was permanently paralyzed. He shook his head at the memory and charged Coco; this was going to be an eventful fight.

Ren was sleeping on his bunk when suddenly the lights flipped on. Royal Guard members rushed in and grabbed Ren. They wrestled him to the ground and held him there until footsteps were heard. The Commander of Britannia's Tokyo Division strolled into the room and smirked down at the struggling Ren. He scoffed and said, "Well Eleven, looks like you get to go down in infamy. Aside from the obvious, why did you murder our beloved Viceroy? Ren was baffled he said, "I would never do something like that. I am a loyal soldier of Britannia." The commander glared and kicked Ren across the face. He growled out, "Stupid Eleven pig! I will not tolerate such lies from your kind." Ren tried to defend himself but the Commander nodded to a nearby guard and the guard pulled out a stun baton and knocked Ren unconscious. The Commander glared down at the soldier and said, "Bring him to the dungeon. As acting Viceroy I will get justice for our fallen, Marcus Black." The soldiers saluted and moved to carry out his orders.
