Ryley Robinson had evacuated into Lifepod 5. He had a companion named Robert Leadstone, an expert engineer/construction work in Alterra staff in the Aurora ship. After they landed on Planet 4546B. They have to work together to survive by gathering materials, finding a stable source of food and building a temporary habitat for a base. As they got deeper, they uncover it's secrets.

Before 4546B there was a crew and a ship, excitement and hope. Relationships, rivalries, spies,friendship - all of this was wrapped up in one neat little package called Aurora. Even before her there were scars. Some ran deep and moulded who they were, some were pushed aside, but all of it made for one dynamic crew, both highly skilled and motivated. If only that had been enough.

It was painful to be the last one standing. More painful than anyone could know. He'd failed them all, he'd failed so badly, and that was something he would have to live with the rest of his life. In dreams there was escape though. In dreams everything was right. Until the dreams began to get unsettling. Then he began to second guess leaving.

Riley Robinson is an engineer aboard the construction starship, the Aurora. Not content with the state of his life, he spitefully performs janitorial work aboard the ship while his colleagues do all the science without him. However, during the Aurora's eighteen month trip, something goes horribly wrong, and Riley learns that there are things much worse than being a janitor.

When the deadly Kharaa bacterium rears its ugly head upon humanity, Ryley Robinson and many others, are sent on a desperate mission to the watery world of 4546B to find and retrieve the substance known as enzyme 42 before the Kharaa plague decimates the human civilization like the precursors before them. But of course, something goes wrong.

It was increasingly difficult to remember that he had crafted the phase-penis for a reason, one that was not pleasure – his or Robin's. He had to convince Robin to accept an Architect body before she got herself killed. Even if that meant testing her limits. She had tested her physical limits many times on 4546B. Now, it was time for AL-AN to test… other limits.

'The device you hold is not a body component,' he explained, 'but it is designed to mimic one. My people used it to relieve certain… tensions.' Robin's jaw dropped as she stared down at the smooth white and grey device. She turned it over in her hands, a million questions running through her mind. 'Sexual tensions,' AL-AN added unnecessarily.

Screw it, she thought and planted a kiss on his face where human lips would have been. "I do not understand this gesture," AL-AN said, a little helplessly. Robin laughed. "The whole not having lips thing is a real design flaw with you Architects, you know," she told him. "You're missing out on kissing. Kissing is great."

Crash landed, wounded, and stranded not even remembering her own name a woman has to fight to survive in the harsh and often times unforgiving environment of planet 4546B. When things go from bad to significantly worse its up to her to dive deep into the depths of the alien planet to attempt to save herself and maybe the planet.
