The wind was howling again tonight, shaking the apparently sleepy forest with its violent gusts laden with summer heat. The greenish leaves torn from their branches whirled frantically in the air, flinging themselves against her without mercy, clinging to her tousled hair. Yet she paid no attention to them... Crouching in the shadows, blending into the surrounding darkness, the almost imperceptible figure focused all her attention on the distant glow of a battered flame, marking the site of a new sanctuary to be 'explored'. His slow breathing deepened as the minutes passed, his blood
minutes passed, her blood gradually saturating with excitement at the idea of the unknown she would have to face once again. Perhaps this night her quest would come to an end... She had come so far for this... On her arms, she could feel the seals she had put on herself biting into her soul, amplifying her growing impatience even more.
Suddenly, a slight whistle not far from her drew her out of her thoughts, making her blink. In the almost total darkness of this moonless night, a small white shape was hurtling through the air towards her. With her usual gesture, she straightened up a little, opening her arms to welcome the little fluffy-looking flying scourge that came to nestle against her. It gave shrill little cries, its blood-coloured eyes moving from her to its target. That's how it seemed to her... the security was really not that great. Her intervention wouldn't be too risky, which was almost disappointing...
"Come on, Kyu, let's go..." she murmured against the little fur ball, straightening up as she stretched like a cat, preparing herself for the operation.
"I hope this relic is the right one..." she breathed softly, as if to herself, biting the pad of her thumb before impregnating one of her seals with her blood, taking a determined step deeper into the forest...

It was still early in the morning when Gojo Satoru, a teacher at Tokyo's exorcism school, was roused from his sleep by the shrill beeping of his mobile phone. Sheltered under the soft warmth of his duvet, the snowy-haired young man sighed softly, opening his infinitely bright eyes to discover only the darkness of his silent bedroom. He stretched out a bare arm towards his bedside table, groping for the cunning device that had woken him with its strangely early-morning ring. He tapped for a few seconds, reading and then rereading, eyebrows slightly furrowed, the message that had just appeared on the luminous screen. With a smooth movement, the exorcist straightened up on his mattress, letting his blanket fall limply against his chest, whose pale skin was instantly bitten by the surrounding cold, completing his awakening.
"What's all this about again..."
The contents of the text message made no sense... It was from the head of a sanctuary on the other side of the country, telling him of a strange 'attack' that had taken place that very night. Someone had broken into the sacred place and stolen the relic that had been protected there, under everyone's noses. The cursed object had then obviously been released from its shackles, because, according to his interlocutor, a large number of plagues had appeared in its wake. But, and this was what was most incomprehensible to Satoru, the plagues had all but disappeared in a ridiculous lapse of time and the panicked exorcists had found the relic abandoned at the entrance to the sanctuary, lying on the ground... It made no sense at all...
The professor let out a deep sigh, running a hand through his untidy hair. Strange things had been happening ever since Sukuna woke up. And something told him that this was only the beginning...
