This is a RWBY x Destiny crossover, and my first crossover at that. This is honestly kind of a creative excercise me, just to see if I can write a half decent story without having much of a plan. I'm a busy person, and thus my upload schedule will be entirely nonexistent.

He floated, the sensation strange within my "head," as he calls it. My Ghost, Dreamer. He's an interesting fellow, real adventurous, almost to his own detriment. In fact, thats why he was able to find me on this frozen rock next to Jupiter. He climbed into a fallen skiff on Earth during the Dark Ages. "Looking for anything cool," was his reasoning behind his stupidity. I can't blame him though.

Finding an unattended skiff is rare, even more so during that time. However, the Fallen raiding party wasn't very far away, and they returned with the intent to get the hell off of Earth. It was the only place where the Lightbearers were active. They were unaware of their little stowaway even after he got off on Europa. He found me not too long after.

I first woke up in a suit of armor, with a sword, and a mantra replaying in my mind over and over again. "Protect my people." And a small floating robot in front of my face screamed, "Guardian, guardian!" As annoying as I thought he was at the time, I'm quite fond of him now.

My history is still a mystery, and it should remain that way. As the Speaker's favorite saying goes when discussing a Guardian's lost memory, Traveler guide his lost soul. The only clue I have is that my armor is fancily engraved with one name: House Meyrin. My armor was fine black plate, with red and blue flower engravings, and a large M on the back. My great helm was much the same, and reinforced with the Traveler's light, the already advanced armor was next to indestructible. It takes being right next to a dying Hydra to break through it.

The streets of the ruined Europan city could hardly be seen underneath the thick ice forming atop it. The city's name had been long since lost to time. The Cryptarchs believe that Europa was one of the first places to fall during the Collapse. Frigid snow fell around me, gathering on my armor. This was one of many solo expeditions that Dreamer and I had taken to Europa. We were both curious about my past. What better place to start than the place I'd ended?

"Guardian, Guardian!" Dreamer's voice finally broke me out of my thoughts. "Gelum, focus up. Multiple Vex teleportation signatures incoming." As if to complement his words, the classic cracks and snaps of a vex's arrival sounded in the building in front of me. Bray's cold and dead architecture perfectly complemented Europa's snowstorms, creating a gloomy atmosphere.

The atmosphere was broken by the slap and red line of a hobgoblin's rifle. Its V-shaped headgear looked menacing in the distant, cloudy blizzard. I brought my arm back, a spiked mace of solar energy forming in my hand. The mace soared through the air, its heat melting the falling ice.

Poor thing never stood a chance.

A/N: Anyway, this is just a short little chapter to test things out.
