hapter 1
The chill of early autumn lingered in the corridors of Hogwarts, its damp breath seeping through the stone walls and slipping beneath robes. The students had already settled into the rhythm of their seventh year, with classes intensifying and final exams looming on the horizon. For most, this was the time to focus on studies and future careers. Yet, for Lily Evans, her mind was occupied by something far beyond the typical concerns of a graduating witch.
Lily was known as a brilliant student—a Gryffindor prefect, beloved by professors and admired by her peers. She possessed a sharp mind, a natural affinity for magic, and an earnest heart that set her apart. Everyone who knew her thought her life was on a clear path: she would marry James Potter, her longtime suitor and eventual husband-to-be, settle into a respectable career, and perhaps, one day, raise a family of talented witches and wizards. But there was a restlessness in Lily, something deep within her that whispered this life, the one everyone else envisioned for her, wasn't quite enough.
In the stillness of the night, as the Gryffindor common room quieted and the crackling fire dwindled, Lily often retreated to the farthest corners of the library. It was here, hidden from prying eyes, that she let herself indulge in a different kind of study—one that delved into magics beyond what Hogwarts allowed. Ancient spells, celestial texts, and forgotten histories filled her time. She felt drawn toward something greater—something unearthly and divine.
Her fingers brushed over the spines of aged books, their titles hidden beneath layers of dust. The weight of secrecy hung in the air, thick and palpable. She knew she shouldn't be here, shouldn't let her curiosity lead her toward realms of magic outside of the school's teachings. Yet, Lily couldn't resist. There was something calling her, like a soft, ever-present voice, beckoning her to look beyond the limits of what she had been taught.
It wasn't just curiosity that drove her. For years, Lily had felt a strange restlessness, a yearning for something more than the earthly magic she had mastered at Hogwarts. She had excelled in every class, even Defense Against the Dark Arts, but none of it filled the void she felt inside. The magic she knew was bound to the mortal world, but what if there was magic beyond that? Magic touched by the heavens themselves?
It was during one of these late-night searches that Lily first stumbled across the name—Sera.
She had found the name in the margins of an ancient tome on celestial magic. At first, it looked like someone had tried to erase it, as if trying to obscure it from anyone who might come across it. But once Lily saw it, it was etched into her mind. The words "Voice of the Divine" followed the name, along with vague descriptions of a being of immense, holy power who lived beyond the boundaries of their world, in realms connected to the heavens. Not an angel or malevolent entity, but something far more—an entity of light, of celestial origin.
The mention of Sera ignited something deep within Lily. It wasn't fear, but an overwhelming sense of longing. Who was this Sera, and why did it seem like she had been hidden from history? The more Lily searched, the more she realized that any reference to Sera had been deliberately buried in the most obscure places. It was as though this entity had been shielded from mortal discovery—not because she was dangerous, but because her knowledge and presence were too divine for ordinary wizards to comprehend.
Lily hadn't told anyone about her discoveries—not even James. How could she? James was brave and bold, but his ambitions were grounded in the here and now. He wanted to fight the Dark Arts and protect the wizarding world, not explore the uncharted realms of otherworldly magic. If he knew she had been sneaking into the Restricted Section to read about beings connected to what was beyond their world, he wouldn't understand. His love for her was deep, but Lily craved something more—an understanding of magic that transcended the limitations of their world.
Her heart raced as she pulled a book from the shelf one evening, a rare text she had only recently uncovered. The title, Veils Between Worlds, was barely legible, its gold lettering faded by time. She had come across this volume while reading an obscure footnote in another ancient book. It was said to explore the boundaries between the known world and others—dimensions that were not dark or evil, but holy, where time and space functioned under the guidance of celestial forces.
With the weighty book in her hands, Lily felt the familiar thrill of anticipation wash over her. The pages were brittle, each turn releasing a faint, musty smell of age and forgotten knowledge. As her eyes scanned the ancient text, an image caught her attention: a depiction of shimmering portals surrounded by angelic, ethereal figures. Her breath caught as she read the description beneath it—a gateway to realms beyond the physical world, where divine beings, sentinels of light and truth, resided.
And there, on the page before her, the word appeared again: Angels.
According to the text, Angels were no ordinary beings. They were beings of divine origin, sentinels who walked between realms, their essence tied to a power that surpassed all known magic. They were connected to the heavens themselves, figures who existed beyond the limitations of mortality, imbued with the light and wisdom of the heavens. The idea of such beings sent a shiver down Lily's spine. This was not some dangerous or dark force—this was something more mysterious, more pure.
The more she read, the more consumed Lily became. Her days at Hogwarts followed the usual routine—attending classes, preparing for NEWTs, spending time with James and her friends—but her nights were devoted to something else entirely. In secret, she practiced ancient spells, ones that delved into divine magic, probing the boundaries between their world and other realms. The knowledge she sought was dangerous, perhaps even forbidden, but Lily couldn't stop. She was too close to uncovering something far greater than anything taught at Hogwarts.
For months now, Lily had been tracing these faint, elusive clues. She had spent countless nights reading by wandlight, cross-referencing between books that only hinted at what she truly wanted to know. The deeper she delved, the more certain she became that this wasn't just an idle curiosity. There was something calling to her, something beyond this world.
Why was she so drawn to this?
She couldn't explain it. Her curiosity about other dimensions, about beings who lived outside the boundaries of her world, wasn't something she had chosen. It had chosen her. It was like a flame burning inside her, impossible to ignore, even as it consumed her.
One night, she sat alone in the common room, staring into the flickering flames of the fireplace. James had gone off on another late-night adventure with Sirius and Remus, and for once, she was grateful for the solitude. She needed space to think. The idea of these other realms was growing more and more tangible in her mind. She could feel the magic pulsing beneath her skin, urging her to push the boundaries of what she knew. There were entire worlds out there, waiting to be discovered. Beings with powers beyond comprehension. What if she could learn from them? What if she could understand magic in a way no one else ever had?
Her thoughts were interrupted by a familiar voice.
"Lily, love, you alright?"
Lily turned to see James standing in the doorway, his hair windswept and his glasses slightly askew. He looked tired, but there was a playful grin on his face, the one that always melted her heart.
She smiled softly. "Yeah, just thinking."
James crossed the room in a few strides, sitting down beside her and draping an arm over her shoulders. "About what? School? Us?"
Lily hesitated, biting her lip. She didn't want to lie to him, but how could she explain what she was feeling? That her mind was consumed by thoughts of magic beyond their world, of beings with unimaginable power? James wouldn't understand. He was practical, focused on the here and now. He wanted to marry her, to fight in the war against Voldemort, to build a future. But Lily… Lily wanted more than that.
"Just school," she lied, leaning into him. "You know, NEWTs and all that."
James chuckled. "You'll pass with flying colors. You're the smartest witch at Hogwarts. Everyone knows it."
Lily smiled, but her thoughts were elsewhere. Sera. The veil between worlds. The magic that could take her beyond this life.
James kissed the top of her head, his warmth a comforting presence. But as he held her, Lily's mind wandered back to the dark, forbidden corners of the library. To the books she had hidden beneath her bed, waiting for the moment when she could open them again. There were questions she needed answers to. Secrets she needed to uncover.
When James finally drifted off to sleep beside her, Lily slipped out of bed, her movements silent as a shadow. She grabbed her wand and the hidden book from beneath her mattress and crept out of the dormitory, the familiar thrill of breaking the rules sending a spark of excitement through her.
As she made her way through the dark, empty corridors of Hogwarts, her heart raced with anticipation. She knew what she was doing was dangerous—perhaps even reckless—but the allure of the unknown was too strong to resist. Lily felt it deep within her, a pull toward something far greater than herself. Something she couldn't yet name.
Finally, she reached the old classroom on the fifth floor, the one that had been abandoned for years. The door creaked as she pushed it open, revealing the cold, dusty room within. Lily cast a quick Lumos, her wand tip glowing softly as she moved to the center of the room. She placed the book on the floor, carefully opening it to the page she had marked.
There, in faded ink, was the spell she had been searching for—a spell meant to tear open the veil between their world and another. A spell that would allow her to catch a glimpse of what lay beyond, just for a moment.
Lily's hands trembled as she raised her wand, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew the risks. She knew she was playing with forces she didn't fully understand. But she had come too far to turn back now.
With a deep breath, she began to speak the incantation, her voice barely above a whisper. The air around her seemed to shift, growing heavy with magic, as though the very fabric of reality was warping under the weight of the spell.
And then, for the briefest of moments, Lily saw something—an image flickering in the darkness, like a distant figure just beyond the edge of her vision.
A name whispered through her mind: was as tranquil as ever.
The streets of the celestial city radiated with a soft, divine energy, pulsing with the serene grace only the blessed could possess. Above, ethereal lights shimmered in soft golds and silvers, casting long, gentle shadows across the marble towers and winding pathways. Angels of all kinds moved through the avenues, each more radiant and graceful than the last. Some were new souls—still adjusting to their eternal peace—while others were ancient, their forms glowing with the wisdom and beauty cultivated over millennia of devotion and virtue in Heaven's serene embrace.
Yet, while many angels reveled in the harmony and bliss that Heaven offered, Sera was different. She had long grown weary of the endless tranquility, the unceasing praise sung by celestial choirs, and the lack of purpose that her existence had come to embody.
Sera stood on the balcony of her sprawling, radiant estate, overlooking the peaceful calm below. Tall and elegant, with soft, regal features that emanated an air of divine authority, she was an angel whose presence alone commanded reverence. Her long, silken hair flowed in cascades of silver down her back, and her glowing blue eyes shimmered with a depth of emotion that betrayed the centuries of disillusionment she harbored. Her ethereal form flickered slightly, her edges blurring into soft light—a reminder that Sera was bound by different rules than most of her kin.
She had ascended to a high rank in Heaven eons ago, earning her position through her unmatched wisdom, grace, and an understanding of the mysteries of creation that few could rival. While others in Heaven remained content in their praise and service, Sera had always sought something far greater. Something none of the other angels could understand.
The truth was, Sera was disillusioned.
Not in the way other angels occasionally were. Not the kind of dissatisfaction that could be solved by engaging in deeper contemplation or seeking solace in divine service. No, Sera was disillusioned by the very essence of existence in Heaven. The repetition. The eternal cycle of peace and perfection. It all felt so… hollow. Over time, she had come to realize that no matter how much she ascended or how revered she became, it lacked meaning.
She had everything, yet nothing that truly mattered.
And so, Sera began to withdraw from the endless feasts of light and the boundless hymns that her fellow angels delighted in. Instead, she retreated to her vast library, surrounded by ancient scrolls and celestial artifacts gathered from the farthest reaches of the universe. She had always been drawn to the realm of mortals—the place where humans lived, loved, and died. The place where existence was unpredictable and filled with both joy and suffering, where life and death were fleeting, yet deeply meaningful.
Humans fascinated her.
Their lives were so brief, so fragile, and yet they burned with a passion that angels, even with their infinite wisdom, could never match. While many of her kind saw mortals as souls to guide and protect, Sera saw something more. There was magic within them—not just the arcane practices some mortals dabbled in, but something deeper. Something raw, untapped, lying dormant within their very essence. Something that could only be awakened under the right circumstances.
And it was this potential that intrigued her most.
As she studied her texts, Sera's thoughts often drifted to the possibility of reaching out to the mortal realm—not to guide, as other angels did, but to form a connection. She knew it was dangerous. She knew it was frowned upon, even by Heaven's standards. But that only made it more alluring. No angel had ever dared to establish a true bond with a human, especially one with magical abilities. Yet Sera couldn't shake the feeling that her destiny lay beyond the veil of Heaven. That something awaited her on the other side.
One evening, during one of her many quiet, introspective nights, she sensed it.
A ripple in the fabric of existence, faint but undeniable.
Sera's hand stilled over the page of the ancient scroll she had been reading, her head lifting as she felt the disturbance. Her glowing eyes narrowed, the light within them intensifying as she focused her mind. The sensation was distant, far beyond Heaven's borders, but strong. Stronger than anything she had felt in centuries.
A mortal, without question. But not just any mortal—a human deliberately reaching out, with a power that was unlike any Sera had ever sensed in a living being.
Her pulse quickened. Could it be? Was this the connection she had been waiting for all this time?
The sensation grew as Sera expanded her awareness beyond the celestial realm, reaching toward the mortal world. Across time and space, she saw a faint vision. A young woman, powerful and determined, her hands glowing with untamed magic as she cast a forbidden spell. The energy surrounding the human was raw, chaotic, but filled with potential. This was no ordinary mortal—she was something extraordinary.
Sera leaned back in her chair, her thoughts racing. She knew she couldn't reach out to the girl—not yet. The barriers between their realms were too strong, and the consequences too dire. But she could watch. She could observe this young woman, study her progress, and wait for the right moment to make contact.
For the first time in centuries, Sera felt something stir within her: anticipation.
This mortal, this Lily Evans, had unwittingly touched something divine, drawing Sera's attention. The girl had no idea what forces she was toying with, or whose gaze she had caught. But Sera knew. She felt it deep within her essence. This was the chance she had been seeking—a chance to break free from the stagnation of Heaven and connect with someone who could challenge her, someone who could make her feel alive again.
As the night wore on, Sera continued to watch Lily's efforts to breach the boundaries of their worlds. The girl was clever, resourceful, and driven. She had already uncovered spells that most humans would never dream of, and her thirst for knowledge mirrored Sera's own youthful curiosity. But Lily was still inexperienced. She didn't yet understand the full extent of the forces she was summoning, and if she wasn't careful, she could easily unravel the balance of reality.
For now, Sera remained a silent observer, her presence just beyond the veil. She watched as Lily delved deeper into the mysteries of forbidden magic, teetering on the edge of discovery. There were moments when Sera considered intervening—offering a whisper of guidance—but she held back. The time wasn't right. Lily had to make the choice, had to reach out fully aware of the risks she was taking.
And when she did, Sera would be there, ready.
Days turned into weeks as Sera continued her quiet observation of the mortal realm, all the while maintaining her façade as a calm and dispassionate angel in the heavens. Her reputation among her fellow angels remained untarnished. Few dared question her, and those who did often found themselves awed by her wisdom and authority. But while they reveled in their eternal peace, Sera's thoughts were always elsewhere—focused on the young witch who had unknowingly captivated her.
Then, one night, as Sera sat in her dimly lit study, surrounded by the gentle hum of enchanted artifacts, she felt it again. A ripple in the veil, this time stronger and more deliberate.
Lily was attempting something dangerous.
Sera's fingers tightened around the edge of her chair as she closed her eyes, focusing all her attention on the disturbance. She could feel the reckless power of the spell Lily was casting, the energy surging through the fragile boundary between their worlds. The girl was trying to break through, to make contact with the other side.
A smile touched Sera's lips.
"Bold, but reckless," she whispered, rising from her chair and crossing the room to an ornate, enchanted mirror. This was no ordinary mirror, but a gateway of sorts, allowing Sera to see beyond the celestial realm into the mortal world.
As she approached, the mirror's surface shimmered, revealing a swirling vortex of light and color. At the center of the vortex stood Lily, her hands raised in the dim light of a candlelit room, her voice chanting words of magic that resonated through the ether. The air around her crackled with energy, and Sera could see the faint outlines of the barrier between their worlds beginning to give way.
Lily didn't know it yet, but she was close—so very close—to breaking through. And when she did, Sera would be ready.
CHAPTER 2
The air felt different.
As Lily Evans stood alone in the darkened chamber, her breath was uneven, her pulse racing in her ears. The magic that surrounded her crackled with an energy she hadn't encountered before, and the world seemed suspended in that strange moment between knowing and unknowing. This wasn't Hogwarts anymore. This was somewhere—nowhere—else.
She had prepared for this. She had studied the ancient texts meticulously, spending countless sleepless nights flipping through dusty, fragile pages in the Hogwarts library, venturing into forbidden sections that no student should dare explore. Her heart raced, and her mind reeled, but the thrill of it had become addictive. The magic she had found in those forbidden books whispered of other worlds, of realms untouched by human hands.
And that's why she was here—standing in the center of an arcane summoning circle, her wand drawn but trembling slightly in her grip.
Lily knew she was playing with forces far beyond her control, but the hunger for knowledge had always burned brightly in her. Even now, with the fabric of reality tearing before her eyes, she couldn't bring herself to back down. She wasn't going to turn away, not now. Not when she was so close.
The ancient chant still echoed in the chamber, reverberating in the very walls, but the sound was fading, giving way to something darker, deeper—something that made the hair on the back of her neck stand on end.
Her heart hammered against her ribcage, but she stood firm, green eyes locked on the shifting air before her, where the tear between dimensions began to solidify. The room seemed to darken as if shadows were leaking from the rift, the once steady light of the floating candles flickering, as though caught in a storm.
And then she felt it—a presence. Not just any presence, but something massive, something ancient. Something that shouldn't be. The weight of the magic was suffocating. It pressed against her chest, heavy, as if the very air was thickening into liquid.
A shape emerged, hazy at first, as if reality itself was struggling to hold it. Slowly, the figure sharpened, taking form, until it solidified into something more human—if such a word could even apply. The entity was tall, her outline marked by an almost regal posture, her long, dark hair spilling over her shoulders like a shadow that had taken form. Her eyes—red and glowing—pierced the dim light, locking onto Lily with a gaze that felt both curious and predatory.
The Angel had arrived.
Lily's throat went dry as she stood frozen, gripping her wand tighter, though some deep part of her knew that whatever magic she could muster wouldn't help her now. It was too late for that. She had summoned something far more powerful than anything she had ever faced. Even Voldemort, with all his dark ambitions, had nothing on the raw, chaotic energy that radiated from this angel.
Sera stepped forward, moving as though gravity had no hold on her. Her feet didn't touch the ground so much as glide just above it, the fabric of her long, flowing robes trailing behind her like clouds. The angelic smile was a slow, deliberate thing—dangerous and almost mocking. Her voice, when she finally spoke, was airy but sultry, the sound vibrating in the air like a purr.
"So," Sera said, her voice smooth and lethal, like a blade being drawn from its sheath. "You're the witch who's been calling me."
The words weren't a question—they were a statement, simple and definitive. Sera's gaze never wavered from Lily's face, as if she could see into the very core of her soul. The feeling was unsettling, like having her deepest secrets laid bare before someone who could crush them—or use them against her.
"I—" Lily's voice caught in her throat, and she swallowed, trying to steady herself. She couldn't afford to show weakness, not now. "I wasn't sure if it would work."
Sera chuckled, the sound low but light, a stark contrast, vibrating through the air like the echo of distant thunder. "Oh, it worked, little witch. Better than you know." She took another step closer, and Lily instinctively took a step back, her pulse quickening.
The room felt smaller, the air thicker, like the walls themselves were closing in. Despite herself, Lily's gaze flicked to the edges of the summoning circle she had drawn—a protective barrier, a last line of defense if things went wrong. But Sera had already crossed it effortlessly, as though the boundary meant nothing to her.
This wasn't a simple being, not some low-level imp that could be banished with a flick of the wand. No, Sera was something else—something far more powerful.
Lily's fingers tightened around her wand, her mind racing through possible spells. But each incantation felt hollow in her head, inadequate against the sheer power that stood before her. Magic, as she knew it, felt like a child's game in the face of this.
Sera watched her with a lazy, sweet grin, her eyes flicking to the wand in Lily's hand. "Do you really think that little stick is going to protect you?"
Lily's heart skipped a beat, but she refused to let the angel see her falter. She lifted her chin, defiant. "I summoned you," she said, her voice stronger now, though her nerves still hummed with anxiety. "I've studied your kind. I know what I'm doing."
"Do you?" Sera's voice was dripping with amusement, but there was something else beneath it—a curiosity that Lily hadn't expected. "You think your books and your little spells can prepare you for what lies beyond your world?" The angel's smile widened, a glimmer of something dangerous flashing in her eyes. "You're a brave one, I'll give you that."
Sera's presence was overwhelming, but Lily held her ground. She had come too far to back down now. She had spent months preparing for this moment, following leads that had led her into forgotten parts of the magical world. She had found the texts buried deep within the restricted section of the Hogwarts library, hidden away by wizards who had deemed the knowledge too dangerous for anyone to possess.
But Lily had always been different. She had never been satisfied with the limitations imposed by others. The world of magic was vast, mysterious, and she had always suspected that there was more to it than what was taught at school. More than charms, potions, and transfiguration.
And now, here she was—face-to-face with an entity from a world she had only glimpsed in ancient scripts.
"I didn't summon you for protection," Lily said, her voice firm despite the tremor in her chest. "I summoned you for knowledge."
Sera's eyebrow arched, genuine intrigue flickering in her crimson eyes. "Knowledge?" She sounded almost amused. "And what is it you hope to learn, little witch? Surely, your school has taught you everything you need to know."
Lily shook her head, her green eyes blazing with the fire of determination. "Hogwarts teaches us magic, but it's only a fraction of what's out there. There's more to magic than spells and potions. I've seen glimpses of it—through the cracks, in the shadows. I want to understand it. All of it."
Sera studied her for a long moment, her expression unreadable. There was something unsettling about the way the angel looked at her, as though she could see right through the bravado, the confidence that Lily was trying so hard to maintain. But beneath the amusement in Sera's eyes, there was something else—a flicker of recognition, perhaps even respect.
"Most witches—most humans—don't dare seek out what lies beyond their little worlds," Sera said, her voice quieter now, almost contemplative. "They fear what they don't understand. They hide behind their spells and their rules, content to live in ignorance."
"I'm not like most witches," Lily said firmly.
"No," Sera agreed, her lips curling into a small smile. "You're not."
For a moment, there was silence between them, the tension in the air thick and intense. Lily could feel the weight of Sera's gaze on her, the intensity of it almost unbearable. It was as though the angel was peeling back the layers of her soul, exposing everything she had tried to keep hidden.
But she didn't flinch. She couldn't. Not now.
"I can give you what you seek," Sera said at last, her voice low and hypnotic. "I can show you magic that your world has forgotten, magic that would make your greatest wizards tremble. But there's a price."
Lily's heart skipped a beat, her breath catching in her throat. She had expected this—there was always a price when dealing with creatures from other realms. But the desire for knowledge burned too brightly within her, drowning out the caution that should have been screaming in her mind.
"What price?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Sera stepped closer, her presence overwhelming, her hypnotic eyes glowing in the dim light. "You'll have to let go of everything you know," she said softly, her voice like velvet. "Your rules, your morals, your boundaries. To truly understand magic in its rawest form, you must be willing to lose yourself to it." Sera doesn't know why she's doing all this. This is not something angels do, but she couldn't help it. There was something about this human that made her want to rebel against all she's known.
Lily's pulse quickened, fear gnawing at the edges of her resolve. She had always been driven, always hungry for more knowledge, but this—this was something far beyond anything she had imagined.
This was it—the moment where she had to decide. To turn back meant retreating into the safety of the world she knew, where the boundaries of magic were defined and controlled. But to step forward… to take Sera's hand… would mean walking into the unknown, a world where power reigned and rules of the world were meaningless.
But Lily had never been one to shy away from the unknown.
Her breath was shallow as she spoke, her voice steady, though her insides churned with a mix of fear and excitement. "I'm willing to pay the price."
Sera's lips curved into a slow, sweet smile. The satisfaction in her eyes was unmistakable, as if she had been waiting for this moment all along, knowing that Lily would give in to her hunger for knowledge. The angel stepped closer, and the air between them seemed to hum with an electric tension.
"You have no idea what you've just agreed to," Sera said softly, her voice carrying an edge of amusement. "But I admire your bravery, witch."
Lily swallowed, her fingers tightening around her wand, though some instinct told her that the small piece of wood was useless against this being. "When do we start?" she asked, though a small part of her expected the answer to be something vague—perhaps after another visit, or a journey into some mysterious place.
But Sera's smile widened, her eyes gleaming with something innocent, but also wild. "We start now."
Before Lily could process what was happening, the world around her shifted. The room—the space that she had been standing in—seemed to ripple as if reality itself had been stretched thin, and the very fabric of magic twisted under Sera's command.
Lily gasped as the ground beneath her feet dissolved, and for a moment, she was falling—plummeting into a swirling vortex of light, her senses overwhelmed by the rush of magic around her. The sound of wind roared in her ears, and she reached out instinctively, trying to grasp onto something, anything solid.
But before she could panic, she landed—her feet hitting the ground with a soft thud. The world around her reformed, though it was nothing like the world she lived in.
Lily's eyes widened as she took in her surroundings. From what she could tell, they were in a different realm now—what seemed to be an in-between place, suspended somewhere in the vast multiverse of magic and shadow. The sky above them was a swirling mass of colors—light blues, yellows, and pinks, twisting and blending together in a way that made it hard to distinguish where one color ended and another began. The ground beneath them was smooth and white, like polished crystals, reflecting the sky in a serene, almost liquid sheen.
But what struck Lily the most was the magic. It was everywhere, pulsing through the air like a living thing. She could feel it humming in her veins, making her skin tingle and her heart race. This was magic in its rawest form—untamed, unrefined, and utterly chaotic.
Sera stood beside her, watching her with an amused expression. "Surprised?" she asked, though her tone made it clear that she already knew the answer.
Lily nodded, unable to speak for a moment as she tried to steady herself. The sheer intensity of the place was overwhelming. This was unlike any magical environment she had ever encountered—not at Hogwarts, not even in the darkest corners of the forbidden texts she had studied. This was magic that was alive, uncontrollable, and she could feel it coursing through her like fire.
Sera chuckled, the sound low and rich. "This is the space between worlds," she explained, gesturing around them. "A place where magic exists in its purest form. This is where we begin."
Lily's heart pounded in her chest as she tore her gaze away from the swirling sky and focused on Sera. The angel's presence was even more intense here, as if this realm amplified her power. She seemed taller, her white hair flowing around her like tendrils of light, and her eyes glowed with an otherworldly light.
"Begin… what?" Lily asked, though part of her already knew the answer.
Sera smiled again, but this time there was no amusement or sweetness in it—only a cold, predatory focus. "You wanted knowledge, didn't you?" she said softly, her voice almost a whisper. "Power. Magic beyond what your world can offer."
Lily swallowed, nodding. She had asked for this. She had wanted to know more, to understand magic in ways that no wizard or witch had before. But now, standing in the presence of this ancient, powerful being, she realized just how dangerous that desire truly was.
Without another word, Sera lifted her hand, and the air around them seemed to shift again. Magic swirled, intertwining in her palm, forming a glowing, pulsating orb of energy. The light it emitted was strange—neither bright nor dim, but something in between, as if it existed on a plane separate from normal light.
Lily's breath caught in her throat as she stared at the orb. The magic emanating from it was unlike anything she had ever felt before—raw, chaotic, and immensely powerful. It pulsed in time with her heartbeat, drawing her in like a moth to a flame.
"This," Sera said, her voice a soft murmur, "is the magic of the in-between. It's the power that exists in the cracks between worlds, in the spaces where reality frays. It's not bound by your world's rules, or by the limitations of your magic. It is infinite—and infinitely dangerous."
Lily's fingers twitched, her body instinctively drawn to the raw power before her. She could feel the pull of it, the temptation. This was what she had been searching for—magic beyond Hogwarts, beyond the boundaries of the known world. And yet, there was a part of her—a small, terrified part—that knew this was a path from which there was no return.
But Sera was already moving. With a flick of her wrist, she sent the orb of magic hurtling toward Lily, the glowing energy expanding as it shot through the air.
Lily barely had time to react. She raised her wand instinctively, though she knew it was futile. This wasn't a spell she could deflect. The orb of magic struck her squarely in the chest, and for a moment, she felt nothing.
Then the pain hit.
It was unlike anything she had ever felt before. The magic surged through her body like a bolt of lightning, burning through her veins, igniting every nerve with fire. Lily gasped, her knees buckling as the force of the energy brought her to the ground. Her vision blurred, her body trembling as the power tore through her, reshaping her very being.
She could hear Sera's voice, distant and echoing in her ears. "Embrace it, witch. Don't fight it."
But Lily's instinct was to fight. The magic was too much, too intense. It felt as though it would tear her apart, ripping her soul from her body. She could feel the magic of her own world—the magic of Hogwarts, the spells she had learned, the boundaries she had always relied on—crumbling under the force of the new power.
But then, through the pain, through the chaos, something shifted. A small part of her mind, the part that had always craved knowledge and power, whispered to her: This is what you wanted.
Slowly, painfully, Lily began to let go. She released her grip on the familiar, on the structured magic of her world, and allowed herself to be consumed by the raw energy surging through her. The pain didn't subside, but it changed. It became something else—something exhilarating. The fire in her veins wasn't burning her—it was transforming her.
She gasped, her hands clawing at the ground as the magic twisted and coiled inside her, reshaping her very essence. She could feel it—her body, her mind, her magic—being rewritten, molded into something new. It was terrifying and thrilling all at once.
Through the haze of magic, she heard Sera's voice again, closer now, calm and commanding. "Good. You're learning."
Lily's vision cleared, and she looked up to see Sera standing over her, her red eyes glowing with approval. The angel knelt beside her, placing a hand on Lily's chest, right where the orb of magic had struck.
"Do you feel it?" Sera whispered, her voice soft but filled with power. "This is just the beginning."
Lily nodded, her breath coming in shallow gasps as the magic continued to course through her. Her body felt different—stronger, more attuned to the chaotic energy around her. She could feel the in-between magic pulsing in the air, in the ground beneath her, in her own skin.
She was changing. She wasn't just a clueless witch anymore. She was something more.
Sera's hand remained on her chest, her touch cool and grounding. "There is no going back now," she said, her voice firm. "You've crossed over now. The magic of your world is no longer enough for you."
Lily's mind raced, her thoughts swirling in a chaotic storm. She had known this was dangerous, but she hadn't realized just how far she would have to go. There was no turning back now, no returning to the safety of Hogwarts or the life she had once known. She was in too deep.
But despite the fear, despite the uncertainty, there was a part of her that felt alive—more alive than she had ever felt before. The power coursing through her was intoxicating, filling her with a sense of purpose, of strength.
Sera's hand moved from her chest to her chin, tilting Lily's head up so their eyes met. "Do you regret it?" she asked, her voice low and dangerous.
Lily hesitated, her heart pounding in her chest. The answer was on the tip of her tongue, but she wasn't sure if it was the truth. Did she regret it? Did she regret stepping into this world, into the unknown, and becoming something more than she had ever imagined?
"No," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Sera's smile was slow and satisfied, her eyes gleaming with approval. "Good," she murmured, standing up and offering Lily her hand. "Because we've only just begun."
Lily took Sera's hand, and as the angel pulled her to her feet, she knew that her life would never be the same again.
And a part of her welcomed it.
CHAPTER 3
The years since her first lesson with Sera had stretched into an unbearable void. At first, Lily had been electrified, her mind still buzzing with the power Sera had unlocked in her. The magic beyond her world had lingered in her veins, making her skin tingle and her thoughts sharper, more attuned to the chaotic pulse of the universe beyond her world. But now, that rush had faded, leaving behind a gnawing emptiness.
Hogwarts felt too small. The familiar halls, once a source of comfort, now felt confining, like a gilded cage she could no longer fit in. The classes she once excelled at seemed dull in comparison to the raw, unfiltered magic Sera had shown her. Everything felt like they were child's play. The spells she had mastered, the knowledge she had prided herself on, all felt meaningless. It was as if she had been given a glimpse of infinity, only to be shoved back into a world of finite boundaries and simple rules.
Lily paced in the empty Gryffindor common room late at night, her thoughts consumed by the memory of Sera. The angel's words echoed in her mind, as if she could still feel the heat of her presence. There is no going back now.
No, there wasn't. And yet Sera had disappeared.
Lily had expected to see her again soon. After all, Sera had promised more. More lessons, more magic. But the angel hadn't shown up. Not the next day, or the one after that. Each day that passed without a sign of her felt like a slow suffocation. Lily found herself scanning the corners of rooms, the shadows of corridors, as if Sera might step out of thin air at any moment. Her thoughts were consumed by the angel, her dreams haunted by hauntingly beautiful eyes and whispered promises.
Her relationship with James, once a source of warmth and comfort, had become strained. He noticed, of course—how could he not? She was distant, distracted, her thoughts always elsewhere. But how could she explain it to him? How could she tell him that the world they lived in, the magic they practiced, wasn't enough for her anymore? That she had tasted something far greater, far more powerful?
Lily sat by the fire, her gaze unfocused, staring into the flickering flames but seeing something entirely different—Sera's eyes, the swirling colors of the realm they were in. Her chest tightened with frustration. Where was she?
The anxiety gnawed at her. What if Sera had abandoned her? What if the angel had decided that Lily wasn't worth the time, that her potential wasn't enough? The thought sent a spike of fear through her. No—she couldn't accept that. She wouldn't accept it. She had given up so much already. She had changed. She was different now, and Sera couldn't just disappear.
A soft sound caught her attention—just the faintest shift in the air, like the rustle of wings or the whisper of a breeze. Lily's heart leapt into her throat, and she stood abruptly, her eyes scanning the room. For a moment, she thought she had imagined it. But then the shadows in the corner of the room deepened, twisting and curling in on themselves like living things.
Lily's breath hitched.
And then Sera stepped out of the darkness, her presence filling the room with a an undeniable light. Her eyes gleamed, the familiar smirk tugging at her lips.
"You seem anxious, witch," Sera said, her voice smooth, almost teasing. Sera was not how she expected an angel. Sera had a more dangerous and teasing aura hiding behind her angelic mask.
Lily didn't hesitate. She crossed the room in a heartbeat, her emotions surging forward all at once—relief, anger, and something else she hadn't expected. She stopped just short of Sera, her fists clenched at her sides. "Where have you been?" she demanded, her voice sharp.
Sera's smirk widened, amusement dancing in her eyes. "Missed me, did you?"
Lily's cheeks flushed, but she refused to back down. "You said there would be more lessons. It's been days."
Sera tilted her head, her gaze raking over Lily with a kind of lazy interest that made Lily's pulse quicken. "You're impatient," she said, her tone almost indulgent. "I told you, witch, this magic isn't something that can be rushed."
"But you disappeared!" Lily snapped, frustration bubbling to the surface. "You left me here—" Her voice faltered, and she took a breath, trying to steady herself. "You left me here with… with nothing. Everything feels empty now. I need more."
Sera's expression shifted, a flicker of something darker passing through her eyes. She stepped closer, her presence overwhelming, and Lily felt the familiar pull of her power, like a gravitational force that tugged at her very soul.
"You need more?" Sera echoed softly, her voice a low murmur. "And what, exactly, are you willing to give for it?"
Lily's breath caught in her throat. The air between them was charged with tension, and she realized with startling clarity that this—this was what she had been craving. Not just the magic, but her. Sera.
"I'll give whatever it takes," Lily whispered, her voice barely audible.
Sera's eyes glinted, her smirk returning as she reached out, brushing a strand of hair away from Lily's face. Her touch was cool, but it sent a shiver down Lily's spine. "Careful, witch," she murmured. "You don't know what you're asking for."
But Lily didn't pull away. She couldn't. Her heart was pounding in her chest, her skin tingling with the nearness of Sera. "Show me," she said, her voice firmer this time. "Whatever it is, just show me."
For a moment, Sera said nothing. She simply watched Lily, her eyes narrowing as if she were assessing something deeper than words. Then, without warning, she leaned in, her lips brushing against Lily's ear as she whispered, "As you wish."
The room shifted again, the air crackling with magic as the world around them seemed to bend and warp. Lily barely had time to register the change before she found herself once again in that strange, realm—the swirling colors of the sky, the obsidian ground beneath her feet.
But this time, it was different. This time, the energy in the air was heavier, more potent. And this time, Sera didn't keep her distance.
The angel stepped closer, her eyes locked on Lily's, and the intensity of her gaze made Lily's heart race. "You're desperate for this," Sera said, her voice low and husky. "For power. For me."
Lily swallowed hard, her pulse quickening. She didn't deny it. How could she? Every fiber of her being was drawn to Sera, not just because of the magic, but because of something deeper. Something she hadn't expected, but couldn't deny.
-
Sera's fingers brushed against Lily's jaw, tilting her head up so that their eyes met. "You need to understand something before we continue," she said, her voice soft but filled with authority. "There are things about me—about my nature—that you don't know."
Lily frowned slightly, confusion flickering in her eyes. "What do you mean?"
Sera's gaze darkened, a hint of something flickering in her expression. "I'm not like the humans in your world, Lily. I don't follow your rules, your norms. I'm an angel. My form, my power—it's not bound by the same rules as yours."
Lily's heart skipped a beat, her curiosity piqued. "Then… what are you?"
Sera's lips curved into a slow, predatory smile. "I'm what you humans call a futanari."
The word was unfamiliar, but the way Sera said it, with that dark, sultry tone, sent a shiver down Lily's spine. "Futanari?"
Sera's fingers tightened slightly on Lily's chin, her eyes gleaming with something that made Lily's pulse quicken. "It means that my form is… different from what you might expect. I'm both—male and female. In every sense."
Lily's eyes widened as the meaning of Sera's words sank in. Her heart raced, her mind struggling to process it. But instead of fear or confusion, all she felt was a strange thrill. The idea of Sera being something so… other, so beyond human understanding, only made her more drawn to her.
Sera watched her reaction closely, her smirk widening when she saw the flicker of desire in Lily's eyes. "Does that bother you, witch?" she asked, her voice a soft purr.
Lily shook her head, her breath coming in shallow gasps. "No," she whispered. "It doesn't."
Sera's smile turned into something almost feral, and she leaned in closer, her lips brushing against Lily's in a feather-light touch. "Good," she murmured, her voice sending a jolt of electricity through Lily's body. "Because I think you're ready for the next lesson."
And just like that, the magic between them surged to life again
Sera's smirk faded into something more serious, her eyes locked on Lily's with an intensity that made her heart race. The brief, teasing moment had passed, and now there was something deeper. She wanted this—wanted to dive deeper into Sera's world, to feel the rush of power that she had only just begun to understand. But there was also fear, a quiet voice in the back of her mind reminding her that she was treading dangerous ground.
Sera straightened, her hand dropping from Lily's chin as she stepped back, though the distance did nothing to lessen the pull between them. Her eyes shimmered with barely-contained power, and for a moment, she simply studied Lily, as if gauging her readiness.
"You're sure you want to continue?" Sera asked, her voice smooth and calm, but with an edge of warning beneath it. "This is your last chance. This magic… it's not something you can turn back from. Once you've seen what I have to show you, you can't unsee it."
Lily's pulse quickened. The challenge in Sera's words stirred something deep within her—a hunger that had been growing ever since their first meeting. "I'm sure," she said firmly, her voice steadier than she felt. "I want to learn."
Sera's lips curled into a small, satisfied smile. "Very well, then."
With a flick of her wrist, the world around them shifted again. The swirling colors of the secret space blurred and melted away, replaced by a new space that felt both vast and intimate. The ground beneath their feet was no longer the white of before but a soft, velvety sunshine that seemed to absorb the light around them. Above, the sky stretched out endlessly, dotted with faint, distant stars that flickered like dying embers. The contrast between light and darkness made this new place even better.
Sera moved gracefully through the space, her movements fluid and confident, as if she were perfectly at home here. Lily followed, her senses heightened by the strange, otherworldly environment. Every step she took felt like it echoed through the space, as if the ground itself were responding to her presence.
"Where are we?" Lily asked, her voice soft, almost reverent. The place felt ancient, as though it had existed for millennia, untouched by time or human hands.
"This is another place between places," Sera explained, her voice carrying easily in the stillness of the air. "I wanted to show you different realms, realms that you can actually visit."
Lily nodded, though she didn't fully understand. There was something about this place that felt… familiar, as though she had been here before in her dreams. The magic that hung in the air, thick and intoxicating, called to her, tugging at something deep inside her.
Sera turned to face her, the faintest hint of amusement in her eyes. "You'll need to be careful here. The magic in this realm can be overwhelming if you're not prepared."
Lily swallowed, the weight of Sera's warning settling in her chest. But instead of fear, she felt a thrill of excitement. This was what she had wanted—what she had craved ever since she first met Sera. To step beyond the limits of the magic she had known all her life and into something more.
Sera held out her hand, palm up, and a soft, flickering light appeared above it—like a tiny flame, but cooler, softer, its edges blurred as if it were made of mist. "This is the first lesson," Sera said, her voice low and soothing. "Feel the magic around you, Lily. Let it flow through you, but don't try to control it. Not yet."
Lily nodded and closed her eyes, letting out a slow, steadying breath. She reached out with her senses, the way she had been taught at Hogwarts, but immediately she felt the difference. The magic here wasn't the structured, orderly kind she was used to. It was wild, chaotic, and it surged through the air like a living thing. It pulsed against her skin, warm and cold all at once, and for a moment, it was overwhelming—too much, too fast.
But then she remembered Sera's words. Don't control it. Let it flow.
Lily relaxed, letting go of the rigid focus she had been trained to maintain. She opened herself to the magic, letting it wash over her, through her. The feeling was incredible—like being submerged in a river of energy, each current pulling her in a different direction. It was disorienting, but also exhilarating.
"Good," Sera murmured, her voice close to Lily's ear. "Now, don't fight it. Let it guide you."
Lily obeyed, her mind slipping deeper into the flow of the magic. It wrapped around her, caressing her like a lover's touch, and she felt a warmth spread through her chest. Her heartbeat quickened, but not with fear—with something else. Something more primal.
She opened her eyes, and to her surprise, she saw faint tendrils of light swirling around her, as if the magic itself had become visible. It danced through the air, twining around her arms and legs, curling through her hair. It was beautiful.
Sera watched her with an unreadable expression, but there was a hint of approval in her eyes. "You're more attuned to this than I expected," she said, her voice soft but pleased. "You're a quick learner."
Lily smiled, a flush of pride warming her cheeks. But then her gaze flickered to Sera, and the question that had been lingering in the back of her mind slipped out before she could stop it. "Is this… where you're from?"
Sera blinked, caught off guard by the question, and for a moment, her usual confident demeanor faltered. Then, to Lily's surprise, Sera laughed—a genuine, rich sound that sent a strange flutter through Lily's chest. Her heartbeat quickened, and she couldn't help but smile in response, the sound of Sera's laughter contagious.
"No," Sera said, her voice still laced with amusement. "I don't stay here. This place is more of a… training ground. A neutral space." She stepped closer to Lily, her gaze softening in a way that made Lily's breath catch. "Where I stay is… different. More controlled. More strict."
Lily's curiosity flared. "Can I see it?" she asked, her voice quiet but eager.
Sera's smile faded, and for a moment, a shadow crossed her face. She looked away, her eyes distant, as if she were seeing something Lily couldn't. "Maybe… another time," she said softly, her voice tinged with regret.
Lily frowned, her curiosity deepening. "Why not now?"
Sera hesitated, her expression unreadable. Then she sighed, her shoulders sagging slightly as if under the weight of some unseen burden. "Because," she said, her voice quieter now, "My world is… not like yours. Not just anyone can go there."
Lily felt a pang of disappointment, but she nodded, understanding that different worlds have different rules. But before she could ask more, Sera turned back to her, her expression hardening once again, the moment of vulnerability slipping away.
"Focus, witch," Sera said, her voice sharp but not unkind. "There's still much to learn."
Lily swallowed her questions, nodding as she returned her attention to the magic swirling around her. She closed her eyes again, letting herself sink back into the flow of energy, though her thoughts still lingered on Sera's words. There was so much more to the angel than she had realized—so many secrets hidden behind those angelic eyes.
The lesson continued, with Sera guiding Lily through the details of controlling the wild, chaotic magic of this realm. It was unlike anything Lily had ever experienced before—raw and unpredictable, but also deeply empowering. The more she worked with it, the more she felt it become a part of her, merging with the magic she had always known. It was intoxicating, the way the power surged through her veins, making her feel invincible, unstoppable.
But as the lesson progressed, Lily found herself becoming more distracted by Sera. The way the angel moved, the way her voice seemed to vibrate with magic itself, the way her eyes would linger on Lily just a little too long. There was a tension between them, something unspoken but undeniable, and it made Lily's heart race in a way that had nothing to do with the magic.
At one point, as Sera stepped behind her to adjust the flow of magic around her, Lily felt the brush of Sera's hand against her back, and a shiver of electricity shot down her spine. Her breath hitched, her body reacting instinctively to the closeness of the angel. It wasn't just the magic that was making her heart pound now—it was Sera.
Lily tried to focus, tried to keep her mind on the lesson, but it was becoming increasingly difficult. The air between them was charged with something more than just magic. It was as if the magic itself was responding to the growing connection between them, amplifying the tension, the desire.
Sera seemed to notice, too. She moved closer, her presence overwhelming, and Lily could feel the heat of her body just inches away. "You're distracted," Sera murmured, her voice low and teasing.
Lily swallowed hard, her cheeks flushing. "I'm not," she lied, though it was clear from the quickening of her pulse that she wasn't convincing anyone.
Sera's lips curled into a knowing smile, and she leaned in, her breath warm against Lily's ear. "You should be careful, witch," she whispered, her voice like velvet. "Desire can be a dangerous thing."
Lily's heart skipped a beat, her breath catching in her throat. She turned to face Sera, her eyes locking onto the angel's, and for a moment, the world around them seemed to fade away. There was only Sera—her eyes glowing with a predatory-like intensity, her lips curved into a seductive smile.
Without thinking, Lily reached out, her fingers brushing against Sera's arm. The contact sent a jolt of electricity through her, and for a moment, she forgot everything—the magic, the lesson, the fact that Sera was an angel. All that mattered was Sera, the way she made Lily feel.
But before she could act on the impulse, Sera pulled back, her expression softening. "Not yet," she said, her voice barely more than a whisper.
Lily blinked, confused. "Why?"
Sera's gaze turned vulnerable—something that made Lily's heart ache. "Because," Sera said softly, "there are things I want to show you, things I want to share with you… but not now. Not yet."
Lily nodded, her chest tight with a mixture of longing and understanding. She wanted more—of the magic, of Sera—but she also knew that there were boundaries she wasn't ready to cross. Not yet, anyway.
For now, she would continue learning. And maybe, just maybe, one day she would be ready to step into Sera's world.
CHAPTER 4
It's been years since Lily first met Sera. Throughout those years Sera trained Lily and they grew closer, although they never crossed the line. They couldn't, especially not with James being in the picture.
Lily's heart clenched with guilt, knowing what she felt for Sera was wrong, she was with James, but she couldn't control it. Even after all these years.
But she can't dwell on that today, because today Sera's finally taking her to heaven. Sera stood at the boundary between worlds, her hand outstretched toward Lily. The portal shimmered with a divine energy, radiating an ethereal glow that illuminated the space between them. Lily hesitated, glancing between Sera and the swirling vortex. There was something hypnotic about it, but the warmth in Sera's gaze reassured her in a way she couldn't quite explain.
"Are you ready?" Sera's voice was soft, a gentle echo in the stillness around them, almost as if it came from another realm entirely.
Lily took a deep breath, her heart pounding in her chest as she nodded, reaching out and placing her hand in Sera's. "I'm ready."
Without another word, Sera pulled her gently through the portal, and the familiar world of magic—the one Lily had known her whole life—disappeared behind her. As they crossed over, everything around them shifted—sights, sounds, even the air felt different, like stepping into a dream. The weight of the Wizarding World, with all its complexities, seemed to lift off her shoulders, leaving only the sense of something pure, untouched, and holy.
Sera's realm was nothing like Lily had imagined. It was a celestial paradise, with skies that shimmered in soft pastel hues, a never-ending twilight with glimmers of gold and silver woven into the air. Fields of ethereal flowers stretched as far as the eye could see, their petals glowing faintly like stars scattered across the heavens. The sky was vast and infinite, illuminated by the light of thousands of celestial bodies. It felt as though heaven itself was watching them.
Lily's breath caught as she took it all in. "This… is your world?"
Sera smiled, a soft yet knowing expression crossing her angelic face. "It is."
"It's… beautiful," Lily whispered, stepping forward, spinning slowly to take in the beauty that surrounded her. "I didn't know heaven could look like this."
Sera chuckled softly, her laughter like the tinkling of chimes, filling Lily with warmth. "Heaven has many forms. It's not all clouds and halos, as mortals tend to believe."
Lily glanced over her shoulder at Sera, her smile growing. "Show me more."
With a graceful nod, Sera led her through the tranquil landscape. The ground beneath their feet was soft and warm, unlike the cold stone Lily had expected. The air was filled with the faint scent of something sweet and divine. They walked in companionable silence for a while, the only sounds around them being the gentle rustling of celestial winds and a distant, harmonious melody that seemed to come from the very heavens themselves.
Finally, Sera stopped at a clearing bathed in a golden light. In the center was a shimmering pool of water, its surface reflecting the sky above as though the heavens had been captured within. The air around it felt sacred, as if this place was a sanctuary even within the holy realm.
"This is where I come when I need peace," Sera said softly, her gaze lingering on the pool. "It's a place where heaven feels still."
Lily stepped closer to the water, her fingers trailing the air just above the surface, captivated by its beauty. "It's perfect."
Sera watched her, something unreadable flickering in her gaze. "There's something I need to tell you, Lily."
Lily turned to face her, curiosity dancing in her eyes. "What is it?"
For a moment, Sera hesitated. Her celestial grace seemed to falter as she searched for the right words. Before she could speak, Lily did something she had never done before—she stepped forward, gently placing her hands on either side of Sera's face, her touch light yet deliberate.
"Whatever it is, it can wait," Lily whispered, her voice tender as she gazed up at the angel.
Sera's eyes widened in surprise, and for a moment, Lily thought she might pull away. But she didn't. Instead, Sera's celestial features softened, and she leaned in, her lips brushing against Lily's in a kiss so soft, it felt like the brush of a breeze. It was tentative at first, as though neither of them was sure where it would lead, but when Lily pressed closer, the hesitation melted away.
Their kiss deepened, slow and reverent, as if they were savoring the moment. Lily's hands slid from Sera's face to her neck, pulling her closer, and Sera responded by wrapping her arms around Lily's waist. There was a sense of electricity in the air, a divine energy that crackled between them. Every touch, every kiss, was filled with a holiness that transcended the earthly world.
When they finally pulled apart, both were breathless. Sera's eyes were darker than Lily had ever seen them, filled with a mixture of longing and emotion.
"Lily," Sera murmured, her voice trembling slightly. "Are you sure?"
Lily didn't hesitate. She nodded, her fingers tangling in Sera's golden hair. "I've never been more certain."
With no further words, they gave in to the love that had been quietly building between them. Heaven and earth seemed to merge as they fell into each other, their connection uniting two worlds in a way that felt like destiny.
When Lily awoke, she felt lighter than she had in years. The memory of the night before clung to her like the warmth of the morning sun. Sera was still asleep beside her, her angelic face relaxed in a way Lily hadn't often seen. She slipped out of bed quietly, standing by the shimmering pool and gazing out over Sera's world, which was as beautiful in the soft morning light as it had been the night before. But now it felt different—more like home.
Sera stirred, sitting up with a soft smile. "Good morning," she greeted in a voice still husky from sleep.
Lily grinned. "Good morning."
They spent the morning walking together through the peaceful expanse of Sera's realm, exploring the hidden corners of heaven, sharing stories, and opening up in ways that made Lily feel even closer to Sera. By the time they reached the portal back to the Wizarding World, Lily was reluctant to leave.
"I wish I could stay longer," she admitted softly, gazing up at Sera.
Sera's smile was warm, but there was a sadness in her celestial eyes. "You'll return soon."
Lily nodded, though deep down, she had a feeling it might be a while before she saw this world again. But for now, the memories were passed, and Lily still felt the lingering bliss of her time in Sera's world. But something gnawed at her. Sera had not returned to see her. It wasn't like her to simply disappear, and worry began to creep in.
Finally, weeks later, Sera appeared again. But something was different. She stood in the shadows, her expression guarded.
"Sera?" Lily's voice was soft, concern lacing her words. "What's wrong?"
Sera's gaze was filled with a sorrow that made Lily's heart ache. "There's something I must tell you, Lily."
Lily stepped closer, a wave of anxiety washing over her. "What is it?"
Sera hesitated before speaking. "You're pregnant, Lily. With my child."
The words echoed in the air, and for a moment, Lily couldn't breathe. Pregnant? With an angel's child? The impossibility of it collided with the reality she now faced.
Lily's hands trembled as she looked up at Sera. "And now?"
Sera's voice was barely above a whisper. "We can't stay together, Lily. Our worlds... they're too different. Too dangerous. I can't stay here, and you can't stay in mine."
Tears welled in Lily's eyes, but she knew the truth in Sera's words. Despite the pain, she understood.
Sera took Lily's hands, her celestial light dimming slightly. "But I will always watch over you. And when the time comes, I will be there for our child."
Lily's heart broke as she whispered, "I love you."
"And I love you, Lily." With that, Sera stepped back into the heavenly light, vanishing into the world between worlds.
Lily was left standing there, heartbroken but forever changed by their love.
But as the months went by, and her belly grew, Lily found strength in the knowledge that Sera was watching over her. Even if they couldn't be together, she knew that Sera would always be a part of her life, and a part of their child's life.
When Harriet—Harry, as Lily liked to call her—was born, Lily could feel Sera's presence in the room, watching, protecting. And even though Sera couldn't be there in person, Lily knew that she was never truly alone.
Their love had created something beautiful, something that would live on, even if they couldn't be together. And that, Lily realized, was enough.
Chapter 5
As Lily laid in bed intently watching her infant daughter, Harry, memories of how she and Sera made her clouded her mind. It was a sweet, yet sad memory. She slid her index finger into her daughter's palm and passionately gazed at her. Her heart pounded so fast as the memories of her time together with Sera flashed before her face.
"You're my jewel and I will love and protect you" she said, caressing her baby's fingers.
As Lily looked down at Harriet's tiny face, with her delicate features and piercing blue eyes, she knew that she was never truly alone. Sera's spirit, her guardian angel, lived on in their daughter, in the way she squirmed and gurgled in Lily's arms, in the way she seemed to understand and respond to Lily's every emotion.
As the days turned into weeks and months, Lily found solace in the routine of caring for Harriet. She would wake in the middle of the night to feed her, her heart aching with a love so fierce it was almost painful. She would watch as Harriet grew and changed, marveling at the way her personality began to emerge, a blend of both Sera and Lily.
And through it all, Sera's presence never wavered. Lily could feel her watching over them, guiding them through the ups and downs of new motherhood. It was as if Sera's love had become a tangible force, a gentle hand that steadied Lily when the weight of grief threatened to overwhelm her.
As Harriet grew older, Lily made sure to keep Sera's memory alive for her daughter. She would tell her stories of the woman who had loved her so deeply, give a detailed description of her looks because there were no pictures to be shown, and mementos of their life together. And Harriet would listen with wide eyes, as if she could sense the importance of the bond that had existed between her mothers.
One day, when Harriet was old enough to understand, Lily took her to the room where she first felt Sera's intense energy through the ancient magic books that stole her interest. They stood side by side, holding hands, as Lily told Harriet about the woman who had been her other mother, who loved her more than anything in the world. And as they stood there, surrounded by the quiet peace of Gryffindor's common room, Lily could feel Sera's presence like a warm breeze brushing against her skin.
"She was the greatest force I have ever encountered" Lily said with teary eyes, slowly running her hands over the book of ancient magic as though it had the ability to awaken Sera from her realm. Harriet sat beside her watching her mom soliloquize, unable to understand why she was acting in that manner. Whoever made mom feel so sad must be so important and once occupied a significant place in her life.
"Are you okay mom? Who is Sera?" Harriet asked, overwhelmed by the unknown history of her mom and the "Sera woman."
Lily wiped a tear from her eye and looked down at her daughter with a sad smile. "Sera was my mentor, my teacher, and my dearest friend, and much more, " she began, her voice full of emotion. "She was the greatest force I have ever encountered, both in heaven and and in other realms, a powerful sorceress, angel who taught me everything I know about magic. "
Harriet listened intently as her mother began to recount the story of Sera. "When I was just a young girl, lost and alone in the world, Sera found me and took me under her wing. She saw potential in me that no one else did, and she nurtured that potential until it blossomed into something truly extraordinary. "
Lily's eyes sparkled with memories as she spoke of the adventures she and Sera had shared. "We traveled to distant realms, then when I used to hunger for more knowledge of magic, beyond the ones we are daily exposed to in Gryffindor. We were seeking out ancient artifacts, powers and lost knowledge. Sera taught me spells and incantations that not many witches knew, and she also helped me unlocked secrets that had been hidden for centuries. "
As Lily spoke, the book of ancient magic seemed to glow with a faint light, as though responding to her words. Harriet watched in awe, feeling as though she was witnessing something truly magical.
"But then, one day, Sera decided her time spent on earth has elapsed, and would like to go back. That as an angel, she belonged to her world and not with us, and she left, leaving me with a promise that she will always be with us" Lily continued, her voice trembling with emotion. "She promised she would return to me, but as the days turned into weeks and weeks into months, I began to fear that I would never see her again. "
Harriet reached out a hand to comfort her mother, understanding now why she felt such a deep connection to this mysterious woman named Sera. "I miss her, Harriet," Lily whispered, her voice barely above a whisper. "I miss her more than words can express. "
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the room, Lily closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "But I will never give up hope that she will return to me one day," she said, her voice full of determination. "And until that day comes, I will keep her memory alive in my heart. "
Harriet wrapped her arms around her mother, feeling a surge of love and gratitude for the woman who had raised her with such strength and resilience. "She will come back, mom. Women of her status will always keep to her promise" she said, her voice filled with conviction. "She will surely come back to you, I am certain. "
And with those words, mother and daughter sat in silence, the book of ancient magic glowing softly in the dim light, a beacon of hope in the darkness. For Sera was not just a sorceress or a mentor, she was her lover who had touched herlives in ways one could ever have imagined.
As the night crept in and the stars twinkled overhead, Lily and Harriet held onto each other, finding solace in the memories of their lost companion. And as the book of ancient magic whispered of a time long past, they knew that no matter how long it took, they would never stop searching for the greatest force they had ever encountered - the enigmatic and powerful Sera.
It was the last term of the session in Gryffindor, a period for reckoning and all witches are expected to be at their best, for their performances would determine if they moved to the next phase as a great sorcerer. Every witch in Hogwarts held their head up in esteem and prepared for the deal day. There was an upcoming competition for all witches to showcase their skill, and will power, one they have mastered since the beginning of the semester. As one of the brightest minds, witch with a great potential, everyone looked forward to having Lily Evans make rounds with her outstanding grades for the term.
Sadly, Lily was in no mood for any type of competition, whatever poses as a distraction was considered irrelevant. The only thing that occupied her mind at the moment was her lover, Sera. Her fiance, James was no longer a subject of concern anymore. Lily had lost every feeling she once harbored in her heart for him. Everything seemed like a dream to Lily. One minute she was head over heels in love with James, now she can't take her mind off a mysterious woman, a futanari. Who would have believed she would be drawn to a futa. Sometimes, she blames it on the powerful and extraordinary magical realm she was exposed to. Could it be the force pulling her into acquiring hidden secrets about other worlds, something different from what Hogwarts offered her? Lily sat in her usual spot, her safe corner, somewhere serene, away from the noise. With everything she's been through for the past couple of months, it didn't change the hunger for knowing. That drive and pull towards discovering the extraordinary things that lie in between other realms and the world she lives in.
Lily stood in the middle of the common room, her safe space within the walls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The room still reeked of Sera's presence, her soulmate who had left her with the promise of returning when their child needs her. From the looks, she seems to be one who truly needs Sera. The days are meaningless without her. The dusty stench from the old books packed in the wooden shelf filled the air, reminding Lily of the countless hours she and Sera had spent together breaking through the world in between.
As she looked around the room, Lily couldn't help but feel a pang of loneliness. The room felt empty without Sera's soft voice and mischievous smile she always had on whenever she revealed something new. But despite the absence of Sera, Lily found solace in the familiarity of the room. It was her sanctuary, a place where she could escape from the chaos of the world outside and immerse herself in the world of magic.
With a flick of her wand, Lily lit up the room with a soft glow, enchanting the magic words that activated the hidden charms of the room. The walls shimmered with ethereal light, casting a warm and inviting aura over the space. The fireplace crackled with a gentle flame, casting dancing shadows on the walls. The plush armchairs beckoned her to sit and relax, their cushions inviting and comforting.
Lily made her way to the old wooden shelf, running her fingers over the spines of the dusty books. She pulled out a tattered time with a worn leather cover, flipping through the pages with reverence. The book was filled with ancient spells and incantations, its yellowed pages crackling with age. Lily had always been fascinated by magic, by the raw power that could be wielded with a simple flick of a wand.
As she read through the book, the words seemed to come alive, dancing off the page and swirling around her in a whirlwind of shimmering light. She could feel the energy crackling in the air, the magic tingling on her skin. It was a feeling like no other, a rush of adrenaline that sent shivers down her spine.
Lost in her studies, Lily didn't notice the clock ticking away the hours. The room grew darker as the sun set outside, casting long shadows across the walls. But Lily didn't mind the darkness, for she was surrounded by her beloved books and the comforting presence of magic.
As she closed the book with a sigh, Lily felt a sense of contentment wash over her. The common room, with its dusty shelves and flickering fireplace, was her safe space, her sanctuary where she could be herself without fear of judgment or ridicule. It was a place where she could let down her guard and unleash the full extent of her magical abilities.
With a yawn, Lily rose from her seat and made her way to the window, gazing out at the starlit sky. The night was quiet and peaceful, the only sound being the faint rustle of leaves in the wind. She felt a sense of gratitude for the magical world she lived in, for the countless wonders and mysteries that awaited her at every turn.
As she settled back into her armchair, Lily felt a sense of anticipation building within her. She knew that tomorrow would bring new adventures and challenges, but for now, she was content to bask in the warmth and comfort of her safe space, surrounded by the echoes of Sera's presence and the timeless magic of Hogwarts.
"I wish I could catch a glimpse of you, I miss you so much" Lily said in a whisper, laying helplessly in her chair.
"Your child needs you. I feel miserable without you" she said, a tear dropping down her cheek, and in the book "the veils between worlds". The drop of her tears on the book created something magical. There was a spring of lighting, fusing together as sparks with sharp spikes emanating from the book. The book opened in a rash way, forcefully flipping each chapter open with so much speed that caused Lily to tremble. Suddenly, the book came to a stop, finally settling on a page that reads "voice of the divine." Lily stood up out of fear, letting the book drop on the floor. With the page still open, a sharp light that pierced through the shelves in the room, hitting the wall. As the light spread out, it began to form into an image. Lily, who was still tucked in a corner, shielded her eyes from the bright light, unsure of what was happening. She could feel a tingling sensation in the air, as if something magical was about to occur.
Summoning all her courage, Lily slowly opened her eyes to see what was going on. To her surprise, the image formed from the light was that of Sera. In all her elegance, poise, and beauty, Sera stood before Lily in a white overflowing dress that seemed to shimmer in the light. Her captivating smile lit up the room, and Lily couldn't help but be drawn to her presence.
"Sera? " Lily whispered in disbelief, her heart pounding in her chest.
The image of Sera nodded, her eyes full of warmth and kindness. "Yes, it's me, Lily," she said softly. "I have come to guide you on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. "
Lily blinked, unsure if she was dreaming or if this was real. But something deep inside told her to trust the image of Sera, to follow her lead. With a nod, Lily stood up and approached the shimmering figure before her. Sera reached out her hand, and Lily tentatively took it. Instantly, she felt a surge of energy coursing through her body, filling her with a sense of purpose and determination. The room around them seemed to fade away, replaced by a swirling vortex of colors and lights.
Together, Sera and Lily traveled through different realms and dimensions, exploring the depths of Lily's soul and unlocking hidden truths about herself. They faced challenges and obstacles along the way, but with Sera's guidance and support, Lily found the strength to overcome them. As they journeyed deeper into the unknown, Lily began to understand the power that resided within her, the potential she had to create and shape her own destiny. She discovered a newfound confidence and resilience that she never knew she possessed. Through it all, Sera remained by Lily's side, offering words of wisdom and encouragement. She shared stories of her own struggles and triumphs, showing Lily that she was not alone in her journey.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Sera and Lily reached the end of their adventure. They stood on a cliff overlooking a vast, shimmering sea, the sun setting in the distance. Sera turned to Lily, a proud smile on her face.
"You have come a long way, my dear," she said. "You have unlocked the magic that lies within you, and now the world is yours to conquer. "
Tears pricked Lily's eyes as she looked out at the horizon, feeling a sense of peace and fulfillment wash over her. She knew that she was ready to embrace whatever challenges lay ahead, knowing that Sera would always be there to guide her.
And as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the land, Lily knew that this was only the beginning of her incredible journey towards empowerment. With Sera's light leading the way, she was ready to face whatever the future held with courage and grace. And she was convinced she would do a great job raising her child, even in Sera's absence. Lily woke up suddenly, her heart racing as she tried to make sense of the vivid dream that had jolted her awake. The dream had felt so real, as if she had actually been transported to another world. She shook her head, trying to clear the fog of confusion that clouded her mind.
As she sat up, she realized that she was not in her usual bed. Instead, she was sprawled out on the hard, cold floor of a dimly lit room. Panic set in as she frantically looked around, trying to piece together how she had ended up in the Gryffindor's common room. She has passed out in her room as she remembers, not there. She could vaguely remember sitting in the comfortable armchair in her room before everything went blurry.
Pushing herself up off the floor, Lily winced as she felt the sharp sting of dust and dirt on her skin. She quickly brushed herself off, her hands trembling as she tried to calm her racing thoughts. Where was she? How had she gotten here?
With a shaky breath, Lily slowly stood up and took in her surroundings. The room was dark and musty, with peeling wallpaper and old, creaking furniture. It felt like something out of a nightmare, only this time, she was wide awake. As she made her way towards the door, Lily noticed a strange symbol etched into the wall. It looked like an intricate pattern of intertwined lines and circles, unlike anything she had ever seen before. Her curiosity piqued, she reached out to touch it, but recoiled as a surge of energy pulsed through her fingertips. Shaken but determined, Lily pressed on, her footsteps echoing in the empty room. With each step, the air around her seemed to grow heavier, as if the very walls were closing in on her. She could feel a presence, a watchful gaze following her every move.
Finally reaching the door, Lily hesitated before turning the doorknob. She took a deep breath, bracing herself for what lay beyond. With a slow creak, the door swung open, revealing a dimly lit hallway that seemed to stretch on for miles. As she cautiously stepped into the hallway, Lily felt a wave of unease wash over her. The flickering lights overhead cast eerie shadows on the peeling walls, creating a sense of foreboding that made her skin crawl.
With each passing moment, Lily felt herself being drawn further into the maze-like corridors of the decrepit building. She could hear faint whispers and murmurs echoing in the shadows, taunting her with their sinister promises. As she rounded a corner, Lily stumbled upon a room bathed in a soft, golden light. In the center of the room, a figure stood shrouded in darkness, their features obscured by a veil of shadows. Lily's heart pounded in her chest as she approached, her breath catching in her throat.
"Welcome, Lily," the figure intoned, their voice low and melodic. "You have been chosen to embark on a journey beyond the realms of reality, to unlock the secrets of the dreamwalker. "
Lily felt a chill run down her spine as the figure raised a hand, revealing a swirling vortex of light that seemed to beckon her forward. She hesitated, unsure of what lay on the other side, but something deep within her urged her to take that final step. With a leap of faith, Lily stepped into the vortex, her world exploding into a kaleidoscope of colors and sounds. She felt herself being pulled into a swirling vortex of energy, her body weightless and free as she soared through the cosmos. As the colors faded and the sounds subsided, Lily found herself standing in a vast, ethereal plane unlike anything she had ever seen. The sky above was a tapestry of stars and galaxies, swirling in a mesmerizing dance of light and shadow. Before her stood a figure bathed in radiant light, their features blurred and indistinct. "You are the dreamwalker," the figure said, their voice echoing in the vast expanse. "You hold the key to unlocking the mysteries of the dream world, to traversing the realms of the subconscious. "
Lily felt a surge of power and purpose welling up within her, a sense of clarity and purpose that she had never known before. She knew now that her dream was not simply a figment of her imagination, but a premonition of the destiny that awaited her. With newfound resolve, Lily stepped forward, ready to embrace her role as the dreamwalker and embark on a journey into the unknown. And as she opened her eyes to the world around her, she knew that this was only the beginning of an adventure that would change her life forever. Again, she woke up, this time in her regular hiding space, the library filled with old boxes covered in dust ans cobwebs, wrecked furnitures and books that have seen better days. Lily stood up from the chair she had sat wondering the kind of night she was having. What sort of dreams are these? What do they mean by dream Walker? Am I still dreaming or is it reality? She stood scanning the room, trying to take her brain off the ordeal she just had. She better get going before she experiences something else. She has had enough for one night.
The next morning, Lily found it hard to concentrate in class. The sorcerer was demonstrating spells for the witches, and Lily was struggling to keep up with the rest of the class. Her mind was elsewhere, lost in a world of her own thoughts. As the sorcerer called her name, "Lily, Lily! Are you with us?" Lily snapped back to reality. She realized it was her turn to try the spell he had just demonstrated. Taking a deep breath, she stood up and walked to the front of the class.
The sorcerer handed her a wand and instructed her on the incantation she needed to say. Lily hesitated for a moment, her mind still racing with thoughts of the dream she had the night before. In her dream, she had seen a beautiful garden filled with colorful flowers and shimmering crystals. A voice had whispered to her, telling her that she was destined for greatness and that she possessed unimaginable power within her.
Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, Lily focused on the spell in front of her. She took a deep breath and began to recite the incantation, waving the wand in intricate patterns as she did so.
To her amazement, the spell worked perfectly. A burst of bright light shot out from the tip of the wand, illuminating the room with its brilliance. The other witches in the class gasped in awe at Lily's display of power. Feeling a rush of exhilaration, Lily smiled triumphantly. The sorcerer nodded in approval, impressed by her natural talent for magic. As the class continued, Lily's confidence grew. She found herself able to perform spells with ease, each one more powerful than the last. The sorcerer watched her progress with keen interest, intrigued by her potential.
After class, the sorcerer approached Lily and asked to speak with her privately. Excited by the prospect of furthering her magical abilities, Lily agreed without hesitation. In a secluded corner of the classroom, the sorcerer began to tell Lily about her unique gifts. He explained that she was a rare and powerful witch, destined to fulfill a great prophecy. Lily listened intently as the sorcerer revealed that she was the chosen one, destined to save the magical world from a great evil that threatened to destroy it. He told her of an ancient artifact that held the key to defeating this darkness, a crystal of untold power that only she could wield.
Overwhelmed by this revelation, Lily's mind raced with possibilities. Could she really be the one to save her world? Was she truly capable of harnessing such immense power? This confirms the efficacy of the dream she had, the one that revealed that she was a dreamwalker. She has no idea why they referred to her as that. She stood in silence, lost in thoughts again, her mind on a lot of things…
"Hello! Are you with me?" The sorcerer asked, with a smirk on his face.
"Ye…yeah, I'm here…I'm okay" she said stuttering. Before he could make his next statement, Lily took to her heels. She got to her room and met her boyfriend, James in her room going through a book he picked up from her book shelf.
Hey, sweetheart, how are you? I noticed you left before the class ended" he said with a faint smile, moved towards her and hugged her passionately.
"You have been distant, acting strangely lately. You've changed? Is there something you'd like to tell me? You know you can tell me anything"…
"Nothing's wrong. How did you get into my room? What are you doing here?" She asked with a stern look. She paced around the room as though she was searching for something. She saw a written note that was placed on her bed. James attempted to pick it up, but Lily was fast enough. She overtook him, snatching the note before James could reach it. She quickly glanced at the note and nodded with a subtle smile; it read, "your daughter is safe with me. You can come by when you are back from class." Trying to mask her emotions in front of James, Lily quickly tucked the note into her robe.
"What's written on the note?" asked James, curious to know why Lily acted in such a manner. "Can you tell me what the problem is, Lily" he added, moving closer to her. He grabbed her arms, staring into her eyes, as though he was searching for answers.
"I told you James, I'm fine. There's no problem. Just that these past couple of days have been so rough." she said, trying to pull out from his grip.
"What's on the note? Can I see it?" He said, his eyes directed at her pocket. The air became so tense. James wasn't having it this time. He stood his ground, insisting Lily showed him the note. He suspected Lily was hiding something from him. As the banter between them continued, Harriet walked in with Harmonie, Lily's closest friend.
"Hey, girl. What's up! I'm sorry, but Harry insisted she wanted to be with you, I had to bring her over" Harmonie said in a pleasant tone. She froze as soon as she sighted James in the room with Lily. She felt the energy around them and figured something was going on.
"Harmonie, you shouldn't have brought her now. This is not the right time" Lily said jittering as she pulled her daughter into a warm hug. James wasn't supposed to find out about her daughter like this, right now.
Harmonie stood there, feeling like an intruder in the room with Lily and James. She had only meant well by bringing Harry over, but now she couldn't help but feel like she had stumbled into a situation that was none of her business.
Lily's eyes darted around nervously as she tried to compose herself. James, on the other hand, had a stoic expression on his face, his jaw clenched tightly. The atmosphere in the room was tense, and Harmonie could almost feel the electricity crackling between the three of them.
I'm sorry, but your daughter wants to be with you, I had to bring her over," Harmonie repeated, trying to break the awkward silence that had settled over the room. Lily took a deep breath and managed a small, forced smile. "Thank you, Harmonie. I appreciate it," she said, patting Harry's head gently.
James cleared his throat, breaking his silence. "Harmonie, we appreciate your gesture, but perhaps this isn't the best time for a visit," he said, his voice measured but firm.
Harmonie felt like a deer caught in headlights. She hated being in the middle of tense situations, and she didn't want to overstep any boundaries. "I understand. I can take Harry back if you want," she offered, feeling slightly relieved at the prospect of making a quick exit. Lily glanced at James, silently pleading for his approval.
Not at all, my child stays. Thank you for bringing her over. We are in the something, do you mind taking her outside?" Lily requested.
Harmonie quickly scooped up Harry, who was blissfully unaware of the tension in the room, and made her way to the door. As she left, she couldn't shake the feeling that she had just witnessed something much deeper than a simple paced aroumd the room angrily, trying so hard to curtail his emotions. Your daughter! You have a child?" "Lily, tell me all of this is a joke"…
"James, please be calm. I have been meaning to tell you, but couldn't summoned the courage. I'm sorry" Tears formed up in her eyes as she tried to explain.
"Why are you sorry? Who's the father?" James sounded furious and soon retreated into heartbreak.
"I wanted to tell you but I just couldn't bring myself to do it." She continued…
"Who is her father? I thought we had good plans together. I thought you loved me…" he cried
I do James. I honestly don't know how this whole thing happened. It…it…it just happened. I couldn't resist her force, charm
Her presence was intoxicating. It controlled all of my senses, and made me lose my mind."
"I met her during the phase when I desired and wanted to acquire more knowledge and power. The lessons at Hogwarts weren't doing justice."
Her name is Sera, she found me in my state of confusion and dilemma. She picked me up and made the best version of me. Sera showed me what I never thought existed. She gave me hope and exposed me to the world beyond. I felt powerful again and grateful. Sera is an angel of light who showed me the light and its source. Her eyes, charisma, smile were ones you never see on a regular basis, and definitely not in Hogwarts. She charmed me with her eyes and I fell for her. And honestly, I don't regret it one bit.
While Lily told her story, James walked out on her. He just could not listen anymore. He was heartbroken and disappointed.
It was a dreary Monday morning at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and James Potter was feeling particularly restless. He had been nursing a broken heart ever since his breakup with Lily Evans, the fiery redhead who had captured his heart and then stomped all over it.
As he wandered the halls of the castle, lost in thought, he stumbled upon a quiet corner where a mysterious figure was standing, bathed in a warm, golden light. James blinked in surprise as he realized that the figure was not human, but an angel of light. Her name was Sera, and she had come to him with a message of hope and redemption.
Sera's eyes shone with a divine light, and her smile was so radiant that it could melt even the coldest of hearts. James was captivated by her beauty and grace, and he felt a warmth spreading through his chest that he had never experienced before.
"Who are you? " James whispered, his voice barely above a breath.
"I am Sera, the angel of light," she replied, her voice like a tinkling bell. "I have come to show you the true source of light in this world, and to help you find your way back to it. "
James was entranced by Sera's words, and he followed her as she led him through the halls of Hogwarts and out into the bright sunshine. They walked through the lush green grounds of the school, with Sera's wings glinting in the sunlight and her laughter ringing through the air.
As they reached the edge of the Forbidden Forest, Sera turned to James and said, "Close your eyes and open your heart, and you will see the light that shines within you. "
James did as he was instructed, and as he opened his eyes, he saw a brilliant light shining in the distance. It was a light that seemed to come from within him, a light that had been buried deep within his soul but was now shining bright and clear for all to see.
Tears welled up in James's eyes as he realized the truth of what Sera had shown him. He had been so caught up in his own pain and sorrow that he had forgotten the light that was always there, waiting to be rediscovered.
"Sera, thank you," James said, his voice filled with gratitude. "You have shown me the way back to the light, and I will never forget it. "
Sera smiled at him, her eyes sparkling with joy. "Remember, James, the light is always there, even in the darkest of times. All you have to do is open your heart and let it shine through. "
With one last dazzling smile, Sera spread her wings and flew off into the sky, leaving James standing in awe of the beauty and light that he had witnessed. And as he stood there, bathed in the glow of the afternoon sun, he knew that he would never be the same again.
Meanwhile, back at Hogwarts, Lily Evans was still reeling from James's abrupt departure. She had poured her heart out to him, telling him all about the pain and suffering she had endured, only to have him walk out on her without a word of explanation.
As she sat alone in her room, tears streaming down her face, Lily couldn't help but feel a sense of betrayal and hurt that was done to James by her. She had thought that James was different, that he was the one who would truly understand her and accept her for who she was. But now, as she sat there in the silence of her room, she realized that perhaps she had been wrong. Perhaps James was just like all the others who had come before him, unable to handle the depth of her emotions and the weight of her burdens. And as she sat there, feeling lost and alone, a quiet voice whispered in her ear, "Lily, my love, do not despair. The light is always there, even in the darkest of times. All you have to do is open your heart and let it shine through. "
Lily looked up in surprise to see Sera standing before her, her eyes filled with compassion and understanding. As Sera reached out a hand to help her up, Lily felt a warmth spreading through her chest, a warmth that she had never experienced before.
"Thank you, Sera," Lily whispered, her voice filled with gratitude. "You have shown me the light and the source of it, and I will never forget it. "
Sera smiled at her, her wings shimmering in the moonlight. "Remember, Lily, the light is always there, even in the darkest of times. All you have to do is open your heart and let it shine through. "
With one last gentle touch, Sera moved closer to Lily, held her face, gently wiped the tears rolling down the cheek. She slowly jammed her lips with Lily's and kissed her passionately. "Remember, I am always with you and our child and will always love you." She said, then spread her wings and flew off into the night, leaving Lily standing in the glow of the stars, feeling stronger and more hopeful than ever before. And as she stood there, bathed in the light of the universe, she knew that she would never be the same again. While she watched Sets fly off, she felt a tingling sensation on her right arm. She looked at her arm and saw a mark imprinted in a spiral form, and "Sera" inscribed on it. She touched it gently, trying to wipe it off but noticed it couldn't be wiped off. It was then she realized she had been marked by an angel.
