Lincoln and Octavia felt tired out at that; "I can't believe that they would be here... Actually it's in the realm of possibilities as Sibella and the others love the Hex Girls and I know that they do like other acts here and..." Lincoln said but he sighed. He thought back to seeing Sibella and how relieved she looked and the others calling for him; "They must have really been worried sick about me... Wonder how my family are taking it..." Lincoln muttered to himself feeling guilty but Octavia groaned in guilt.
"Uh... This is my fault... I am so sorry for dragging you into this Lincoln... I just wanted to watch the stupid meteor shower..." Octavia cried out as Lincoln then embraced her with her returning it.
"Don't worry Via; we are here and we will find a way out of this and..." Lincoln said but then pausing as he looked at Octavia's hands. "Octavia... Where is the book?" Lincoln asked as Octavia froze as they let go and were in panic.
"I must have dropped it... If stealing the book and bringing you hear wasn't bad enough; when Dad finds out... I can look forward to being grounded until the human race gets themselves extinct..." Octavia cried out in horror.
"No need to panic... Just need to think and i'm the Man with the Plan... and I think that I need a snack to get me focused..." Lincoln said as they managed to spot the nearest hot dog truck and went to it; Lincoln ordering two hot dogs for them.
They got their food and started eating as there was a tall shadow over them; Lincoln looked up and blinked recognising the tall muscular black man. "Tex?" Lincoln asked in surprise seeing the human disguise of the hellhound Vortex.
Vortex turned around finishing his own hot dog and looked down; "No way... Lincoln and you have a friend... Aren't you the kid of that Stolas prince?" Vortex asked as they nodded. "You heard about what happened at Ozzie's club... Just want to say that..." Vortex said apologetically as the two then sighed shaking their heads.
"Don't worry Tex; don't blame you or Verosika really... Asmodeus was being a shithead and Blitz drew attention to himself after he came to stalk Millie and Moxxie on their anniversary... Plus I think that Loona is sorry for what happened as well; I don't know if Blitz really remembers..." Lincoln then interrupted him and Vortex looked relieved. "Heard that Verosika was here... Was a surprise..." Lincoln then said as Vortex then grinned.
"Will be a surprise to see her favorite human here; let's give you the VIP treatment..." Vortex said grabbing Lincoln's wrist unexpectedly and began walking with him with Lincoln being more dragged along.
"What gives... We both should be getting going..." demanded Octavia trying to help free Lincoln from Vortex's grasp.
"Sorry you two but I'm definitely out of the job if Verosika found out that I saw Lincoln here and didn't bring him to her." Vortex said apologetically as Lincoln was trying to free himself.
"Wait... Do you really need the job? I mean your dating the Sin of Gluttony?" Lincoln then retorted as Vortex shook his head.
"Would rather not mooch off my girlfriend..." Vortex replied as he just kept on walking.
"...I don't... I don't get it... Does Lincoln not like us anymore?" Tanis asked in a confused whimper with a tear rolling down her eye at the very idea of it; at once the other girls went to comfort her. The older ones kneeling down to her with Shaggy even helping to wipe away her tear.
"Off course not... He could never not like his favourite mummy... I don't know what has happened but it's something to do with that owl girl... I bet when we find out what has been going on and fix it; he will tell us that he missed all of us as well... Especially you; you're pretty much his favourite besides Sibella." Phantasma told her assuringly as Tanis felt a bit better.
"Why were they here? If Lincoln was being kidnapped; why let him be out in the open here in front of so many people and it sounded like he wasn't afraid to tell the Hex Girls about Sibella..." Elsa asked thinking it confused.
"Probably some sort of tactic to get him on their side; could be a cult thing but trick him into thinking that he isn't trapped with them." Sibella suggested with a frown; feeling a tinge of happiness to know that Lincoln was still thinking about her and was gushing about it to her favourite band.
"Him going here while we are worried sick..." Winnie scoffed feeling frustrated with him over this but then looked at the grimoire that Shaggy put under his armpit. "Maybe that book will have some answers..." Winnie said about to reach for it when Shaggy put it out of her reach.
"Don't think that's such a good idea Winnie... Don't know what it is and we should see about finding Lincoln again before he gets too far away..." Shaggy suggested as Scooby started sniffing around.
"Shaggy's right; besides remember what Ms Grimwood saying about messing with unknown books..." Sibella said agreeing with her gym coach as Winnie humphed but relented. She then began helping to lead the group in sniffing out Lincoln along with Scooby.

Then there was Vortex coming up; probably back from his small snack break and said "Verosika; I found someone to come and meet you..."
Verosika didn't bother turning to face her bodyguard as the eyes of her posse widened; she just retorted out "Tex; tell them to beat it and come back later when I am sober enough to think about dealing with another fat slob living in their parent's basement or a stoner teen ready to drop out of school..."
Vortex then smirked and looked down to Lincoln and Octavia saying "You hear that Lincoln; Verosika doesn't want to see anyone so how about you and your friend come back later. How about that Lincoln?"
"That's good to hear..." Lincoln said sounding relieved as Octavia was preparing herself for what she saw coming; Lincoln turned and motioned for Octavia to follow him as Verosika then began screaming and tossing her posse out of her way and Vortex then moved out of the way.
"Hello there Lincoln... Disregard what you just heard..." Verosika said grabbing the back of his suit and turning him around to see her smirking.
