AN: Hey guys this is just an idea I had for a while and decided to give it a shot. Please be warned that this story does mention manga spoilers so if you haven't caught up please don't read. I don't want to be responsible for any spoilers since it is a great story to read/watch. And once again none of the characters are mine except one.

Dark heavy clouds covered the once brilliant blue sky like a blanket, eliminating any source of light as the rain continued to pour down on them. The battlefield, otherwise known as the floating UA was covered mostly in dust and dirt as the heroes continued their relentless fight against Tomura Shigaraki.
And All Katsuki Bakugo could do was watch. Watch as the Paranormal Liberation army crumbled what was left of society. Watch as a lot of pro heroes fought and gave their lives. Watch as those around him continued to crawl and fight their way through. Watch as the people close to him fell to their knees around him…and watch as his almost lifeless body lay there unmoving, all life slowly draining and leaving his eyes with a blood covered all might card next to him.
'What was going on? Why won't my body move?' The fight that continued to go on suddenly became muffled sounds to his ears. 'What's with everyone? I'm fine.' He tried to reassure them, but his mouth wouldn't move. The last thing he remembered was going up against Shigaraki until he felt a blinding agonizing pain in his chest that left him desperately trying to cling onto life. 'Did he…?' Unable to finish that thought when the panic and fear started to set in at the realization of what his fight with the villain might've led to. 'Am I…dying?'
He attempted to try and force his lips to move to do anything at this point when he saw Best Jeanist and Edgeshot shouting at each other, and at the moment only able to feel as the blood continued to drip down his lips. He considered that a good sign, that along with the pain he could at least still feel something. He tried to cling onto that as much as he could…to ignore that with every passing second it started to become more and more numb.
'What are they saying? I can't hear you! No…don't…DON'T!' he inwardly started to scream understanding what Edgeshot intended to do. 'Please no! Focus on Shigaraki! Don't do this- I'm fine!' He could feel a tear stream down his bloody cheek when he saw Edgeshot begin to use his quirk determined to sacrifice himself for Bakugo to live. 'Don't! They need you- they…'
"Don't…" he managed to whisper but it couldn't be heard through all the loud noise in the background.
"Don't worry Dynamight, we're going to safe you." Best Jeanist repeated over and over again, and Bakugo knew that the pro was trying to reassure him as well as himself.
Why were they doing this? Didn't they think he could overcome this? Didn't they know that something like this couldn't keep him down. There was no need for them to sacrifice their life for him!
Just then he felt something shoot through him. He wasn't sure whether it was Edgeshot or something else, all he knew was that there was a sudden feeling of lightness and being pulled as a faint fog-like figure stood over him with a malicious growl and jet-black eyes right before it disappeared. He wasn't sure whether his barely conscious mind was playing tricks on him or if he actually saw it.
All he knew was that the last thing he heard was his name being called out and the last thing he felt was a warm hand grasping his gloved one in the hopes that he'd respond and brown teary eyes looking down at him before it all went black. 'Uraraka…'
He didn't know how much time had passed as he continued to stare as his body lay there motionless even after the battle, unable to do anything but witness his friends crying around him.
Checking then rechecking his pulse Beast Jeanists eyes grew when he felt Bakugo pulse growing faint. "I'm sorry…i-it doesn't seem to be working."
When those words finally sunk in Bakugo felt his own stubborn tears gathering around the rim of his eyes. "No way. No way in hell is this happening! You guys hear me?! I'm standing right here damn it! Look at me I'm fine!"
"Kacchan!" Deku dropped to his knees face covered in blood, dirt and tears, not the least bit worried about himself and instead tried to wake his childhood friend. "You can't be gone! You hear me?! You can't! You're Kacchan!"
"Midoriya…"
"Wake up!"
"Midoriya!"
Snapping his eyes at the red head nearby Deku could see Kirishima's equally crestfallen expression. "Kirishima."
"He's…he's…."
"No he'll make it!" Deku snapped immediately regretting his tone when Kirishima started shaking with so much many emotions that he could barely contain it. "Just watch he'll be fine."
"Stop! Both of you please…stop." Uraraka whimpered unable to control the ongoing tears streaming down her face clutching his hand tighter.
"She's crying…" Something inside him -he wasn't sure what- ached to stop those tears. To stop the clear pain in those usual bright brown doe eyes of hers as she continued to look down on his body. But the shock of that as well as watching his body just lay there wouldn't let him move. As much as he hated to admit it, Bakugo saw it. He could see that they were all thinking the same thing. He wasn't going to make it…
"I don't wanna die…" Voice breaking he took a shaky step forward reaching his hand out. How could this have happened? Wasn't he training his whole life for this, only to lose when it really mattered. As disappointment, guilt and anger threatened to overpower him he suddenly could feel a presence next to him.
"Hello Katsuki Bakugo."
"Who the hell are you?"
"I would think it's quite obvious." The strange female who now stood next to him said. She stared at his body with an emotionless expression as if it wasn't the first she's seen, her long black hair slowly flowing behind her. "I'm ready when you are."
"Ready for what?" He turned to see her eyes already staring at him.
"Death." She simply said, turning her gaze back to the scene in front of them. "I'm here to take you where everyone goes after this."
"Don't care because I'm not dead!" he stubbornly said.
"Are you sure about that?"
Turning his glare to what was right in front of him, a part of him still refused to believe it, how could he? Otherwise, that would mean he would admit defeat…and that's just something he didn't have in him. Especially now.
"I know what you're thinking."
"You don't know shit lady."
"I do because everyone always does the same thing when they realize it's their time to go and that's understandable. It's hard…. It's hard to let go of the people you love, the people and places you come to care about." She paused for a moment, letting the sounds of his friends trying to do everything they could to help him linger on before continuing. "But in the end, you can never avoid the inevitable. Whether it's a few years from now, when you're old or even now… everyone eventually has to go."
"Why?"
Giving a small smile she turns to him. "That's just the way it is. There's never just one reason alone there's many, but this just means it's the end of your journey Katsuki Bakugo. You've accomplished more than most people your age. You've done your part in this war have you not?"
"That doesn't mean I'm done fighting." He argued.
"And what is there to fight for now?" she inquired patiently waiting for an answer but when she saw him hesitate, she continued. "Everyone's safe, the villains have lost. Now it's time to move on."
"The fuck does that mean?!" he snapped. "You expect me to just believe all this bullshit?! To believe that I'm just done?!"
"Aren't you? I can see it in your eyes…you're tired and exhausted. You've seen more than your fair share of war. And trust me you're not the first person nor the first hero that I've plucked from the field, always thinking that they still have unfinished business… that they are needed. But what they fail to see is that eventually people move on…the mission will go on without them. So, what's the harm of just letting go? To finally rest and let others take care of things."
Dragging his red eyes to the crying people in front of him they stopped when he saw hers. "I can't."
Nodding the women followed his line of sight. "You'll come to realize that you'll want to leave this life behind, that to stay...would be nothing but suffering for you."
"And if I don't? If I stay?"
"Then it will be a very lonely and painful road for you Katsuki Bakugo. One that I would not recommend. There's been a lot of people who have regretted that decision but now were unable to cross over because of it."
"So, what happens to them?"
"The truth? They become lost…bitter…hollow shells of themselves. Not even close to the person they used to be."
Is that what he wanted? Was this it? Was this what it all leads to? Regardless of what this weird extra was saying he still didn't want to believe that any of this was happening to him. He still had shit to do. Didn't she understand that? He still had his whole life ahead of him. He just turned 17 and they were just now heading into their second year of high school for God sake! He still had to graduate, work on his career to become the best hero anyone's ever heard of and make a name for himself. He still had his parents, his stupid friends that would never leave him alone and had already made plans with him for the next few days.
He hasn't had his first car, first apartment nor any of the things he should experience. For fucks sake he never even had his first kiss -not that he ever even thought about it nor mentioned it. Ok maybe he did think about it once or twice -but shit like that was last on his mind and was never a priority in this line of work. But regardless he still had his parents and a ton of shit to scratch off of his check list. Yeah he had one so what.
"Shall we?" she asked, already walking off.
Snapping out of his thoughts he carefully eyed her. "Say I am dead…and say I go with you. Will I ever be able to see them again?"
"I'm afraid not." She stopped walking to wait on him. "It's a one-way street. And best to move on."
Nodding, he took a few hesitant steps to follow before turning around one last time.
"Kacchan…" Deku continued to cry uncontrollably, each cry louder than the next.
"Bakugo! Try to get up man! Come on!"
"I don't understand…!"
Unable to want to or bare to listen to anymore of this, he stubbornly wiped the tears threatening to fall Whirling around to follow her.
"Bakugo…please…please wake up. You have to…." Uraraka whispered lightly placing a kiss on his forehead, not caring if anyone saw her since everyone was just as distraught at their explosive friend laying helplessly on the ground just as she was.
"Bakugo?" realizing that he had stopped walking the woman looked over her shoulder to see him lift his fingertips to his forehead. "Let's go?"
Turning his head, his eyes fixated on the area she had just kissed. "I can't. I can't go."
"Bakugo there's no reason to stay." She explained. "You've done your part. Let your friends move on."
"But I'm not done!" he yelled over his shoulder. "I can't be done."
"There's nothing left for you here."
Slouching his shoulder, he knew what she said was true, all of the logical parts of his brain were telling him to go. Why not? She was right, he did everything he could. They fought and won the war. He helped his friends. They lost a lot of good heroes in the process so why shouldn't he go? That's probably what they did. but something in his chest refused to do so, refused to believe that this was the end. "Yes, there is."
"What is it?" she quietly asked, turning to look at his friends and the ambulance that had just arrived. "Remember what I said. If you stay it will lead to a lonely life, one I wouldn't even wish on my worst enemy." She watched him as he continued to silently stare at his own body before she disappeared. "I'll see you again Bakugo. Maybe then you'll realized what I said holds true."
